This week has been a pretty rough one for me, and Breed-station's mod has just been a complete sweetheart, so I felt like doing a little thank you gift for her! Also, happy pride month people <3

“Thank you all for checking up on me…that was very kind of you,” the Polteageist gave the assembled Pokemon a weak smile.

“I feel bad that I lashed out at them…I definitely should have handled that situation better….but still, it was a very hurtful assumption to make, whether they know it or not…”

“Just because Polteageist can absorb the life force of others, doesn’t mean we all do. It’s really just an awful thing to inflict on people….usually only desperate Polteageist, barely clinging to the afterlife by a thread, try it by force, but there are some horrible Pokemon who do it for fun….”

“I’ve always hated it when others assumed that of me and my family…” Hibiscus sighed. “While many people and Pokémon who live here know this about us, a lot of others outside the forest don’t and just…believe that awful stereotype about us and assume the worst.”

The Polteageist looked up at the group of Pokemon around her and smiled; a genuine one this time. “Thank you all again for asking me if I was ok; I’m lucky to have such kind customers. You all are welcome at my shop anytime.”

Participated in a dog event today where we were on a team and played silly games. It was neon themed and you got a point for every neon item you or your dog wore. So.

( @breed-station ) Francis notices Nats nervousness passing by and taps on his shoulders. "Are you okay, kiddo? Sorry i couldnt help it but see how youre shaking like a leaf!", she chuckled. "You remind me of myself the first time i battled in a tournement. I screwed up big time and lost on my first round. However, i learned from my mistakes and kept training." Francis gives Nat a pat on the shoulders and a warm smile. "I bet whatever got you this nervous will vanish the moment you see your pokemon ready to achieve your goal! They got your back afterall! So dont give up just yet!!", cheers Francis on with a big smile and thumbs up.

I always ended up jittery before matches, just the nerves of it all I think... Not my first rodeo-as they would say in Orre.

[They gave a reassuring smile as they heard Francis continue speaking-he had to give himself a fighting chance, that much was true. They just had to focus their efforts to the dragons, they were always the reason to push beyond. Even when Nat didn't feel as he belonged, he knew the team at the very least did.]

But... you're right. I can't really call it quits if I haven't even gone out in the first place, right?

Please excuse the lighting and the messy bg (I'm in the process of moving in), but I got catcalled by a group of 8 dudes at a gas station today (I ignored them but they called me 'catgirl' bc my hat has cat ears. I think it was regular sexism and not transphobia), and when I went to a Ruby Tuesdays to have dinner with my mom, I was told that a couple of the waitresses were checking me out (and one apparently flirted with me which I didn't realize until later!).

So, yeah, I figured I'd post a pic bc I must've chose a great outfit today

Looks like today’s the day!

With a bit of help on where to go and who to look out for, it was finally time. Hopefully it sufficed that these items were found at the building they were sleeping. Even with this, were they actually doing this all right?

"Would it be appropriate to just drop these items off?" One had a pit in one's stomach.

"I don't think so. But if they're nice but don't like what they have, I don't mind just giving them something else-"

"Ya think that's gonna work now??? Still, how the hell we know if we picked out the right stuff or not? Shadow, ya sure that book thing ain't full of shit?"

"Don't worry, it isn't! That dictionary wouldn't have lied about what we looked up, I'm sure this'll be fine!" It was somewhat of a miracle she found one of those earlier. It was probably the main reason half of the list made sense.

The four eventually approached with what they had.

"... Soooooooo. Who's t'first sacrifice?"

"Uh- I'll do it!" For the sake of not singling anyone out, Shadow takes it upon herself to start out. She cleared her throat a bit to prepare to talk to the unfamiliar human.

“Hiya!” She excitedly waved to her while hiding the gift behind her.

“I didn’t know there were fancy writing sets like this, this is really cool! I don’t really know how to make anything right now, but this should work!" Shadow thought about the dictionary from earlier, which without she wouldn't understand what was asked. "By the way, would you mind if I asked what you like to use this for?” Shadow was particularly curious, and this person looks like she wouldn’t mind talking about it, hopefully.

Wesn’s turn!

“Oh, hi, Indigo! I wanted to give this to you!”

“Unfortunately I didn’t know where to get what you exactly wanted, but…

Luckily we found this! There was a picture on the wall that showed one of these being used to store a lot of brushes. I hope you like it! If you don’t, I can try to find you something else!”

Next, while Neo-Ka was hesitant to walk up, eventually they did so. Eventually.

“Yo. Lizzy, right?”

“So, y’know how many can show up on those docks in the city? Whenever those bigger waves show up, it looks like a big ol’ mess.” The Eevee shuddered a bit. “Anyway, er, hope ya don’t have any of these yet. Somethin’ like that.”

Meanwhile, “Alright, just come along and be polite…” Hope eventually steeled one’s nerves enough to approach Magby. "Hello..."

“I was lucky with this, it was near the door where we sleep. This reminds me of someone I knew that did the same thing… Still, the blanket hopefully works too, it should be nice and warm.”

This was their first time with something like this, especially with new folks. Worry and optimism lingered that the gifts were what they'd like.

“Heh- sorry, all jokes aside- I just had to make that one- they sure do help me out a lot in all aspects of my life! I haven’t played too many video games, but I did find the ones I’ve tried pretty easy!”

“Marshmallow, would you like to play with this nice Jirachi?” Hibiscus turns to her child.

The young Pokemon looks up sleepily at their mother, then at Chi, and then back to Hibiscus. “Uh uh,” Marshmallow mutters, burying their face further into the Polteageist’ neck.

“Sorry, it looks like they’re a bit tuckered out right now,” Hibiscus tells Chi apologetically. “You’re still welcome to just hang out with us, though!”
