Where to start? This is becoming the most asked question in the context of โ€œI really love your artwork but Iโ€™m not sure whatโ€ฆโ€ Start with your breath. Itโ€™s a little clichรฉ these days, but seriously, start here. I go over an entire lecture on one way to breathe, and there are numerous ways to breathe for numerous occasions. To start, just take a freaking moment to listen to yourself breathe. Literally, can you hear it? Make it silent. And then switch to listening as in feeling, where do you feel it? Try sitting, standing and lying on all sides, especially on your belly. Get your tummy time! โ€œFirst breathe well, then remember to breathe often.โ€ After this, spend a moment with any of these images that speaks to you: your complaint spot is a great place to start. Study the image. Where is your eye attracted? What do you notice and what does it say to you? With all of this information, hopefully something new, begin an exploration of your body. Compare one side versus the other. Which way is a direction of ease? Which was is difficult/restrictive/painful? Be playful, curious, patient and kind with your movements. Play with direction of ease from left to right and above and below. I am committed to personal self development and believe in keeping my skill set and wisdom up to date and relevant for the times we live in. Over the last few years although Iโ€™ve been practising as well as teaching breathwork, mainly pranayama, and some specialised breath practices like the #Babaji #cosmiccobrabreath technique I decided to revisit for myself and to explore meeting new people in other communities so this is one of the things I explored, nearly a year of training (all online which meant me learning and becoming much more confident with online tech to run my sessions) with many hours, days, weeks and months to complete a very well grounded all round #breathwork training with #breathingspace I completed a few months ago and had my certificate a while now and since then Iโ€™ve continued as not just a Breath Work Facilitator, also as a Mentor and Leader. That means that we are able to hold our breath much longer than we think we can. Apnea breathing exercises train you to hold the breath for a longer time. Fascia Yoga combines static breath sessions with slow ritualistic movement designed to help relax body and mind while you're not breathing. During the breathwork sessions you train yourself to not give in to that urge of breathing that your body sends as an automatic reaction pattern and learn to ignore the rising of carbon dioxide.
