he really wants to be on tv. in fact, 'tv' consumes almost his every thought, sometimes he acts like he genuinely believes he's being broadcasted when there's no cameras around.

and also, he actually did achieve his dream! ...sorta. it was such an awful experience that he doesn't want to be part of a set ever again........

he was treated so badly on set that in a sort of 'payback' response, he started seeing everything as a giant set and him as it's star.

(his castle having a giant star at it's top wasn't just for show.. hihi..)

being 'on the top' is all that matters to him, more than money, more than people. and he's willing to destroy life long friendships, a whole ass marriage, but also himself to get there.

tbh the theater's plays lineup is actually fascinating to me from an inuniverse artistic perspective. a purposely camp performance on and offstage with a ridiculously obvious vampiric inside joke whose whole twist is that the actors are genuinely amazing and setting up the first goofy, jokey, overacted plays JUST to use them to slam in the final nail of the literally showstopping fourth wall break dramatic monologue that wait the joke is REAL and youre all in danger, look at our victim here delivering a genuinely uncomfortably heartbreaking plea to be saved directly at the audience while the main actor uses it to espose some fucking poetry abt the nature of human death in the best piece of art youve seen for the past several hours? thats interesting as FUCK.

Now that's a familiar face. Well, yeah, sure, it's her own damn face, but as used as Ryuko had grown to different versions of herself popping up from the depths of some multiverse, this one seemed even more familiar than usual. Like they had crossed paths before, some time, some place.

The confirmation that Harry's squad abandoning him is just poor writing just so the player can continue doing shit on their own is the fact that it never gets explained. Harry even tries to bring it up but kim just. Shuts him up about about it is so so sooooo absurd. Jean's inaction could also harm him but he just makes harry drop the subject? C'mon folk it could have not been more obvious that the writers simply did not come up with that part 💀 I wish people would just take things as they are: de is not really a detailed novel. It's a fuckin game. With excellent writing, excellent characters and worldbuilding, but still a game

Thinking about how breaking the fourth wall creates a separation between the viewer and the characters.

You’re there, either with them or you are them, and they kick you out. Turn you into an observer.

Sometimes it’s nice to be recognized, if they feel like your friends. But if I feel like the character and they throw me back into the real world it completely breaks my immersion. I can’t focus on what’s happening because now there’s all this stuff around the tv and I’m aware of my existence.

Wade has been to places that have some amazing tech- hell, the TVA was chock-full of little gizmos and gadgets but he'd not really had the time to stop and play, he'd BARELY had a moment to nab the very useful bit of universe-hopping kit that he's been quite frankly overusing since both he and Logan were returned to his home timeline. Unfortunately for Shuri, Wade has no such time constraints here to worry about. This is nothing but a fun-trip and he's intends to press the buttons, flip the switches. ANYTHING until something interesting happens. It doesn't take more than a few minutes after his arrival for one of the machines started fizzing and sparking from his mistreatment of it, his button mashing curiosity (and I mean MASHING) serving to be more than it can take. [Strike one.] And then onto the next interesting shiny thing. With all the blaring of alarms it's no surprise someone has come to stop him- not that he acknowledges her for a moment, too set on the new little thingamabob that he's got his hands on. If only he could get it working.. -- ❝Okay okay- I'll stop... If you tell me how to work whatever this thingy is.❞ He holds it up and waves it in his hand, looking at her expectantly.
