hey!! so, yeah, for now the only account they're posting on is on bluesky, which is a big bummer. they've confirmed that their tumblr is @terror-ball, but they haven't posted on it yet. i hope they will, because them being on bluesky only is a source of hesitation for a lot of people! if you need a bluesky code though, people in the tball twitch chat are always happy to hand one out. i understand if you don't want another social media account though lol. and they've been streaming about once a week, and posting vods to their youtube channel! last week it was tuesday, this week its wednesday. i'm gonna try to keep everyone updated when games are, but its not exactly a solution...

Ok this one's kind of niche and disjointed but hear me out. You love Eve McBlase. I love Eve McBlase. We all love Eve McBlase around here. She fell to the Jands, and you know who else fell to the Jands? My son-in-law Spears Nolan. (ok he ended up Buried but since we never actually learned what that means I'm not gonna worry about it. It's fine) and I think they would cause so much chaos together in the best way.

I don't actually know Eve's Jands Lore but I do know that she probably had the time of her life getting to be a dramatic theater kid. Spears would also be a great theater kid as his main hobbies are lurking in the shadows and being extra dramatic with his psychic powers and cape and Actual Literal Spears. While he's not exactly a Cartoonish Supervillain like Eve, Spears "I have the power of ORB and anime on my side" Nolan would absolutely have a blast getting involved in her shenanigans.

I think it starts as a rivalry and turns into them teaming up to Cause Problems and idk I just think they would have such a fun dynamic and I'd like to explore it after I write the like 3 other fics about Spears that need writing lol

hiii this might be confusing but. ok so i realized the other day that i felt like the terms "city boy" and "small town girl" specifically described my gender. and then i was like. oh that sounds like it could be a gender system. so what i'm looking for is help making that? something like. being a [boy|girl|guy|thing|etc.] from, living in, or associated with [a city|a small town|etc]. i like the terms as they are i just want to like. make a gender system that they can fit into if that makes sense. like "city boy" already is a gender term to me y'know. i AM interested in flag ideas though although i'm not entirely sure how flag design works for gender systems. okay that's it. let me know if you have any follow up questions!!

as a non-practicing jew i think tlt is one of the Most catholic serieses i've Ever read and honestly i appreciate that about it. bc like at least it's upfront about it you know? as a kid i always hated it when authors tried to hide christianity in their books it felt like a trick. fuck you c s lewis i know the lion is jesus you cant fucking get me. but in tlt it's just one of the many many layers of subtext and intertextual references flying right over my dumb little head. anyway im claiming the sixth house as space jewish and im only half joking about this

YES i think a big difference is that a lot of fictional books are catholic in the sense of like.. they want to convert you. or at least the author thinks catholicism is the Right Way and so the narrative holds all of these not-so-subtle religious messages about salvation and god’s love and lion jesus or whatever. the locked tomb definitely has catholicism baked into its structure and narrative but it also centers on the negative parts of the catholic church - imperialism and the crusades, religious trauma, bigotry, etc etc etc in a way that’s very refreshing to read. gideon is space jesus and that’s not a good thing!

🎩 — What would an Exceptional Story featuring this character be about?

Anise: As previously mentioned, Anise already would star in some sort of longform "anyone can do it if they have the stats" plotline, so not really ES material. That said, the story would probably center around their attempts to find, catalogue, and reconcile a lot of lesser-known Neathy religions with each other. There's probably body horror because that's kind of our jam. You go to the Elder Continent at one point and might unlock a new Easterly resource carousel. The Light-in-Exile is almost certainly involved.

Lock & Haunt: Do Not Separate Them. You run into Haunt, who ends up getting attacked by a weird doppelganger, you defend him alongside a Licentiate, you have now been roped into their nonsense. It's time to sabotage the New Sequence so they don't get Lock back -- wait, back?

🛌 — How’s their sleep schedule?

Anise: Uses the Treachery of Clocks to their advantage to effectively have to sleep as little as possible while still getting as much sleep as they need. That said, the non-24-hour sleep-wake hits hard for them and while they do get enough sleep, they're also often just awake or asleep at really weird times of the day. Regular schedule as in consistent, not as in normal.

Lock: Regimented. Takes several powernaps throughout the day and night instead of long bouts of sleep to ensure he's never asleep for too long. Will deny that this makes him tired.

Haunt: What is sleep. He's on his fifth cup of Darkdrop. Insomniac, but when he crashes he crashes hard. May have tried to delete his need for sleep with Discordance nonsense before. It didn't work but he's still trying.
