so i think we as a fandom agree that if someone Erik cares about got sick he'd absolutely fuss over them but lately i've been thinking about why he would do this and i came up with something i'm Not Normal About so y'all need to hear me out now

he'd been in a concentration camp. he had probably seen so many people die because of a common cold 'cause their immune systems were so weakened by the fatal conditions in the camp they couldn't fight it off. as a little boy he'd learnt that the moment you get sick you're already dead, and every time someone around him so much as sneezes he's reminded of all the deaths he saw that were caused by something seemingly so innocent as a cold.

so anyway this is all i can think about. i'm literally going insane. me and my friend are also writing fics on that

“Let me get this straight,” the morgue doctor said, pointing at Crowley’s body where it lay on the autopsy table. “You want me to repair the bullet wound, fix his heart and the internal damage, all for someone who’s already dead?”

“Yes,” Aziraphale said. “Maybe put some extra blood back in there, he’ll probably need it.”

“You realize this will not bring him back?” the man said. “There is no brain activity. Everything is shut down.”

“I’m aware of that.”

“He is completely dead.”

“As a doorknob, yes.”

“But you want me to operate on him as if he were alive?”

“That is correct.”

The exasperated man sighed. “Can I see his death certificate?”

“Ah, that. Yes. I have it right here.” Aziraphale pulled an envelope stuffed with hundred pound notes from his jacket and slid it across the table. He thinks he’s seen Crowley do this before, or maybe Crowley had seen it in a film.

“I think you’ll find that everything is in order,” Aziraphale said with an overly dramatic wink.

If TDP characters had phones, Callum would ABSOLUTELY post art of Rayla (only stuff that she approved, though, because he is a consensual king about everything) and then MILES of poems professing his love for her, and everyone (probably including her, tbh) would be in his comments like "WE GET IT SHUT UP." And the other would be the only thing they post about, maybe with some anime memes and sketches scattered about. The parents stalking their accounts like "Should we be worried? ...Eh" because the honeymoon phase is supposed to only last so long, but for Rayllum is eternal.

I will never forgive you for creating such a masterpiece. Honestly one of the best reads ever out of all the books and drafts and everything just absolutely mind-blowing fucking amazing.

This is a seen from Senharts fantastic Dazai and the Moving Detective Agency on ao3 and there is so many other seens I want to do but this was the first that I sketched out. Its funnier in context so you should go read their fic. (its howls moving castle au but you don't have to know about it to enjoy the fic)
