Mc Marcinho - Glamourosa

To end this on a song that is not political in itself but from a genre created in the favelas of Rio de Janeiro, so a very political genre that often criticizes racism and politics in Brazil, called funk. This song is about a glamourous woman who is the queen of funk and also dances really well

About my Writing!🏹⌛

I write fictional works mostly in the genre of fantasy (high fantasy/epic fantasy/dark fantasy/historical fantasy/urban fantasy, etc. You name it!) and science fiction (space opera/cyberpunk/superhero, etc).

My works usually revolve around themes such as epic quests, secrets, adventure, rebels fighting an oppressive system, sibling bonds, acceptance/respect, outcasts, and much, much more! You wouldn’t know it by looking at him, but William Butcher is a fucking munch. Samarra wouldn’t have believed you if you told her that Billy Butcher, the stern, dirty mouthed leader of their merry little band, loved to get that dark beard of his absolutely soaked. But here she was, lips locked on his, as they made out, his big hands having pulled her onto his lap. Samarra’s hands knotted in his hair, messily kissing him, rolling her hips against his. Butcher’s grip tightened on her hips, hands spread wide across the swell of her ass as his mouth made a trail of hot kisses down her neck to her shoulder. She’d long since lost her shirt, leaving her atop him in just a sports bra and a pair of Brazilian style panties, which didn’t provide much barrier between her pulsating core and his growing hardness beneath her. 

The heat from his body radiated against her own, one of Butcher’s hands brushed up her back, pressing Samarra’s chest against his. Butcher’s intense gaze scanned up her body, hands exploring up her sides as Samarra peeled her sports bra up and over her head, her breasts springing free.

“Fuckin’ diabolical.” Butcher drawled, sliding his hands up to cup her chest. 

Samarra huffed a laugh, running a hand through her hair, pushing the silver strands from her face. Her eyes fell shut as Butcher toyed with her breasts, tweaking the stiff peaks between the calloused pads of his fingertips and unconsciously her hips ground down on him. She leaned down, her hair falling around their faces as she licked her way into his mouth, the kiss sloppy and desperate. Samarra hooked her thumbs into the waistband of her panties, inching them down her legs as Butcher reached up, brushing her hair from her face, cupping her neck as he did. 

“Where you goin’?” Butcher propped himself up on his elbows as Samarra pulled her panties off, moving down his body and sliding her fingers under the waistband of his boxers. “Get back up here.”

Samarra made a surprised sound as Butcher grabbed her around her knees, yanking her back up his body. “Butch, what’re you-” Her words dissolved into a fit of giggles as his hands dragged up her thighs to palm her ass. 

“C’mon, lovie. Let me taste ya.” Butcher guided her hips until her dripping core hovered over his face inches from his lips. “Come take a seat.”

Anxiety turned her stomach into knots, but Samarra was helpless to protest as Butcher wrapped his arms around her thighs, pulling her down onto his waiting mouth. Despite his tight grip, Samarra still fought him, keeping herself hovered just enough she knew he could breathe. He pressed open mouthed kisses to the inside of her thigh, teeth nipping at the soft skin as he trailed higher and higher towards her core. Her mouth dropped open at the first pass of his hot tongue, the muscle flattened against her clit. She braced both hands on the wall, tops of her thighs starting to ache from where she hovered on his mouth, lips wrapped around her pulsating clit.

“Almost there, lovie. Just a little longer.” Butcher grunted, gripping her hip for leverage.

His thrusts grew erratic and finally she felt his hips stutter as he came in spurts. He groaned lowly, arms shaking as he kept himself from collapsing on top of her. Butcher settled on the bed, stretching out beside Samarra, both of them breathing heavily. Samarra groaned lowly when she shifted her thighs, feeling the familia burn.

Ive been trying to learn Portuguese and trying to find good songs to listen to. I know this is a super open-ended question (sorry 😭), but do you have any recommendations for Brazilian artists you like? I’ve been listening to songs I found through the qsmp or through other people’s qsmp playlists (Medo by Obinrin Trio, Samba do Brasil (Radio remix) by Bellini, A Taca Do Mundo E Nossa by Coral Da Copa) and it would be fun to find more. Julie and the Phantoms Song Recs: McFly Songs that are Sunset Curve/JATP Coded

So, McFly are a big British pop/rock band that have been around since 2003, and are still releasing music and touring at the time of writing in 2024. I saw them perform live in 2023, and loved it. 💖 That tour was to celebrate the release of the most recent album (at the time of writing) - Power To Play - and listening to that album immediately gave me Sunset Curve vibes, and then I subsequently realised that they had been making Sunset Curve/JATP-coded songs throughout their whole career. 🥺💖

Edit: So, McFly are really popular in Brazil, and they released a song with popular Brazilian band Fresno in 2023 as part of the Power To Play album - Broken By You... and I've just discovered that Fresno actually had a cameo in Julie e os Fantasmas (the original Brazilian show that Julie and the Phantoms was adapted from) in episode 3, so this whole post has gained a lot more validity in a '6 degrees of separation' kind of way 😍👏

imagine if it goes like that. anyways, PEGGY dropped a new album on the 1ST OF AUGUST. 41 minutes of this album are filled with AGRESSIVE LYRICISM, and a stronger PUNK aspect to the 34-YEAR-OLD NEWYORKIAN RAPPER's CIGNATURE PRODUCTION. his WRITING is EMOTIONALLY DYNAMIC and his music is LUSCIOUS in terms of VARIETY.

LYRICISM

PEGGY is well-known for his CREATIVE BARS, and he kept that in his new album. he's like TAKING SHOTS at everything like a NBA player on a court (isn't his whole NBA persona DILLON BROOKS BUT WORSE? makes sense to me at least). there a lot of mention of RELIGION and FAITH in the album overall, in fact the title of the album comes from HOLY BIBLE VERSE JOHN 10:17-18. this is what i love about JPEGMAFIA's MUSIC ARTISTRY.

I LAY DOWM MY LIFE FOR YOU, to me, is a VENT of his EXPEREINCES. on I SCREAM THIS IN THE MIRROR BEFORE I INTERACT WITH EVERYONE, JPEGMAFIA burst out his usual HUMOROUS RANTS like a TROLL he is. EXMILITARY has the SHOTS but it's a FUCK YOU to the MILITARY INDUSTRY COMPLEX (fans may know that his MILITARY YEARS was the worst). I RECOVERED FROM THIS, however, shows a TIRED PEGGY in the recording studio (no more BEEFING!) as he talks about PAST RELATIONSHIPS and the PAIN he had to dealt with.

PRODUCTION

JPEGMAFIA is more AMBITOUS in I LAY MY LIFE FOR YOU than ever. JPEGMAFIA is usually the only PRODUCER of his music, so he's a really INDEPENDENT person, and he's also a really AMAZINGA producer too, i'm being serious. his style is EXPERIMENTAL, SAMPLE-DRIVEN, and over all CREATIVE and INTERESTING. every songs on this new album is BANGERS TO BANGERS because the production felt more FLEXIBLE and CONSISTENT throughout. in JANUARY of 2024, i visited BRAZIL and had experienced the BRAZILIAN FUNK genre, to me the most INTERESTING DJ-PERFORMED GENRE. he took the CORE FEATURES of this genre and INCOPORATED his own SPICE to it.

I SCREAM THIS IN THE MIRROR BEFORE I INTERACT WITH EVERYONE has some insane BEAT SWITCHES, like what do you mean we need a SHRILLEX ass beat on your RAPPING? alright… (also can we have more of this i love it)

CONCLUSION

I LAY DOWN MY LIFE FOR YOU is JPEGMAFIA's STRONGEST and most DYNAMIC album to date. it's really WELL-MADE, and he managed to keep a BALANCE in his EXPERIMENTALISM approach so even the HOES can bop to it (contrary to the previous album). JPEGMAFIA is the most CREATIVE artist i have ever seen in the UNDERGROUND RAPPING SCENE.

underrated gem(s): I SCREAM THIS IN THE MIRROR BEFORE I INTERACT WITH EVERYONE - i'm sorry for meat riding this song but it's really good, IT'S DARK AND HELL IS HOT - brazilian funk jumpscare, DON'T RELY ON OTHER MEN - i heard you went downdowndowndowndown, JPEGULTRA! - it was actually giving LP! actually, LOOP IT AND LEAVE IT - it's too good, I RECOVERED FROM THIS.

tracks that i rec listening: SIN MIEDO, I'LL BE RIGHT THERE, VULGAR DISPLAY OF POWER, EXMILITARY, JIHAD JOE, EITHER ON OR OFF THE DRUGS, DON'T PUT ANYTHING ON THE BIBLE.

worst track: NEW BLACK HISTORY - not the wildest track of his discography but it's not as impactful as his other songs in the album.

According to Spotify this is all the Latin music I have liked currently plus ""meme"" songs I unironically like like Despacito and Pedro. Also some more Brazilian phonk type stuff that for some reason doesn't come up when I specify the Latin label in my likes LOL

What kind of music do you listen to?

Hmmmm, I listen to almost everything.

Since I'm brazilian, I have a lot of national artists, but I also like K-pop, J-pop, I have a thing for norse songs, Irish and Scottish folk songs, metal in general, love me some indie pop too.

I'd say I like everything. My weakest point would probably be country styles, I'm not very big on those, but I can't deny they have some crazy vocals, especially the ladies. If you have any recs on any songs, please let me know, I love discovering new things!
