Billionaire oligarchs are using their social media platforms to topple governments by spreading misinformation that changes the outcomes of elections. Oligarchs can not be allowed to control our government or any other government.

Why is the muskrat trying to ban brazil?
short answer:
Brazilian Surpreme Court: Hey so your site/app has literally contents of csem, nazism, racism, transphobia, hate speech, gore and political misinformation which are all, you know, a violation against the law (as it should fucking be) and we can't allow that
Musk: CENSORSHIP 😭😭😭this TYRANT wants to censor fREE SPEECH IN MY FASCIST-FRIENDLY SITE/APP❗❗❗😭😭😭😭😭LITERALLY A DICTATORSHIP!!1 FUCKYOU
Because of this Musk has been beefing and making AI memes about the brazilian supreme court minister and in a tantrum fit he closed off ALL operating twitter offices in brazil, so now the site/app is quite literally abandoned in the country. There's no moderation team. There's no one to regulate or control or receive any reports of criminal activity. There is no legal representative to answer to all of that. Musk outright REFUSED to appoint a legal rep in the country bc he's acting like a spoiled child. Since a legal rep is a requirement for any platform to work and do business, it has to be shut down

to non-brazilians who think that the government banning twitter = taking away free speech or whatever: many brazilians who follow the country's politics and used twitter frequently are actually happy with this decision (im part of this group too!). elon musk was disrespecting our democracy, which we fought to have back a long time ago. he was simply asked to stop allowing violent and anti-democratic content, a VERY complex issue here and to have a legal representative for twitter in brazil but apparently elon musk is a fucking fascist and thinks that a latin country has no right to its sovereignty. the supreme court made the right decision. brazil is not a lawless land!!!!!!!

Faced with the inaction of world leaders to protect nature, representatives at the Meeting proposed as lines of action the implementation of community-based water management, the promotion of intercultural environmental education, the implementation of regional AntiCOPs, a mobilisation towards COP30 in Brazil and climate meetings in different geographies of the world, the creation of an Autonomous Fund for Climate Disasters, the recovery of pre-colonial lands and practices to promote initiatives to revitalise species and ancestral agricultural systems, among other collective measures.

Elon Musk’s wars: Brazil to Australia, UK to US, the X owner’s many battles
The billionaire has taken on multiple governments, claiming he’s fighting for free speech. But often, his business interests and political views are in play too.
Tumblr media
Throughout history, the world’s richest people — almost all men — have often operated from the shadows, taking on governments they don’t like quietly.
Not the world’s current richest man.
In recent months, Elon Musk has taken on government after government, mostly left or liberal administrations, in public online wars centred around his claim that they are curbing free speech. But often, the spats have also come amid attempts by governments to regulate social media — where Musk, the owner of X, has a direct business interest as well.
From Brazil to Australia, France to the United Kingdom, and of course the United States, here’s a look at the battles Musk has stirred, and how they’ve played out for him and his companies.
