I desperately need non teen titans fans to know that we didn't come up with fab five. The Fabulous Foursome is what Dick, Donna, Wally, and Garth were called by the narrator when the team got properly started in The Brave and the Bold and Showcase. Roy was the fan pick to join the team through voting and thus the title "fab five" was born.
They're not just fabulous to the fans, they're fabulous canonically.

This is my preferred look for Green Arrow. I grew up seeing Batman: The Brave and The Bold, and this was the way Green Arrow looked on that show. Green Arrow just looks better like this, to me. Before Denny O'Neil sunk his teeth into him. Back when he was just a very fun hero, travelling around in his arrow car with his sidekick speedy. Speedy, who dennis o'neil used as a punching bag for his hamfisted drug story (which Stan Lee did first and probably better, by the way!). But I'll cut myself off before I get too angry at Denny O'Neil again. (Justice League of America #4):

I wanted to talk about this scene in the latest episode. I think the adult rvts were putting on a brave face for Liko, Roy and Dot here, to comfort them in a difficult situation. Their home has been heavily damaged, and they're not going to be able to run their business (the rvts) for a while, which is a huge change. It's no wonder that Liko and Roy feel down. However, Friede's speech reminds them of how far they have come as trainers, which was really touching. In addition, Orla, Murdock and Mollie reassuring them that the ship will be repaired was nice to see. In Murdock's case, this proves how much he cares for and wants to support his niece, Dot.
The way that the older rvts reassure the kids shows that they are prepared to go beyond their duties as bodyguards to look out for Liko, Roy and Dot's feelings. From a child's perspective, it conveys the illusion that adults are not afraid of anything and will always be able to protect you. However, we know as an audience that the mature characters have worries and doubts of their own. Due to this, it is arguably likely that they are also feeling deflated after the battle with Rayquaza. I don't think that Liko Roy and Dot are oblivious to the other rvts emotions, but the concept of adults looking out for the youth has been a pattern throughout Horizons so far. We have seen this through instances such as Friede risking his life to save the kids, Ludlow giving words of wisdom and Mollie being the referee during Liko and Roy's first battle.
Knowing all of this, it makes sense that Friede's next suggestion is for Liko, Roy and Dot to train at the Naranja Academy. Not only will this help them learn about terrastralisation, but it will also give them a sense of purpose while the Brave Asagi is being fixed. The adult rvts will always act in the kid's best interests. In other words, I don't think they were as cheerful as they were letting on in this scene.

in the beautiful world where mia takes the name artemis, would you also want connor to take the name apollo or would you keep him as green arrow ii? me personally im torn bc both are very good
after thinking long and hard (haha) and consulting the council....we have determined and agreed that Connor stays Green Arrow as it has the importance to him that (in an beautiful world) Artemis would have to Mia. BUT mia does call him apollo as a petname/to annoy him :)

So i am newly getting into reading GA and while i know the basics of most of the Arrowfams basckstories, i don't know anything about Roys past, so i was wondering what was Roy doing before meeting Ollie, how did they meet, how did Roy get adopted and what made him become Speedy if it's ok to ask?
Hi anon, thanks for the ask!
Roy's backstory is a little difficult because it's been referenced quite a few times, but you kinda have to take parts from each story. None of them have been entirely culturally respectful or accurate, and there are tons of contradictions, so it can get a bit confusing trying to piece things together. But here's a simple run down.
Roy's father was a park ranger, Roy Harper Senior. We don't know who his mother is, she's rarely talked about and Roy's admitted he has no idea who she is.
Tumblr media
Roy and his dad lived close to a reservation and, when Roy was young, his dad died saving people from a forest fire.
Tumblr media
After which, Roy was taken in by a Navajo man named Brave Bow, or Raymond Begay, whom Roy Sr. had saved from the fire. Roy was raised on the reservation until he was around twelve, and during that time he found out about Green Arrow and became almost obsessed with him.
Tumblr media
After a while, Brave Bow got sick. Knowing he wasn't going to make it very long, he sought out Green Arrow and asked him to look after Roy in his place, without Roy's knowledge.
Tumblr media
Ollie came to the reservation to host an archery contest. Roy competed, but ended up losing because his arrows had magnets on them that ended up pulling them away from the targets- presumably put there by Ollie, considering his whole thing was he wanted a better story about how he got his sidekick. And that story ended up being Roy shooting out the tires of some criminals' car before Ollie could even get there
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Heh, Speedier)
Roy was then taken in by Ollie to become Speedy, shortly after which Brave Bow died.
Tumblr media
Aaand then the rest is history! Sources included in this are Secret Origins #38, Arsenal #3, and the Green Arrow 80th anniversary special's story "Green-Man & Autumn-Son". Hope this answers your question enough :)

Best Silver Age Teen Titans stories (according to me)
Narratively Significant to the Teen Titans
Teen Titans (1966) #53 "In the Beginning": The original Fab5 team formation story
Teen Titans (1966) #50-52 "The Coast-to-Coast Calamities", "Titans East! Titans West! And Never (?) the Teens Shall Meet!", "When Titans Clash": The first time Titans East and Titans West were defined (with the first massive team up of 15 Titans):
Teen Titans (1966) #34 "The Demon of Dog Island": Babies' first friend-got-possessed-now-we-must-save-them story!
Interesting Storylines
Teen Titans (1966) #17 "The Return of the Mad Mod": Honestly, I love this story for being the first story where the problem is solved by everyone but Robin because I was so used to the modern stories of Dick being the only one allowed to have a brain
Teen Titans (1966) #37 "Scourge of the Skeletal Riders": They legitimately face off with what seems to be the four horsemen of the apocalypse, maybe evade death, and got their bus fixed by the horsemen's blacksmith? It's all completely unexplained! (Fun to tie in with the implication that they may be immortal though!)
Teen Titans (1966) #38 "Through These Doors Pass the Bravest Titans of Them All": Explores Dick, Donna, and Mal's dreams and insecurities which is fun and it's a little funny to me that all the redheads (Lilith, Wally, Roy) escapes this exploration
The Brave and the Bold (1955) #102 "The Commune of Defiance": A story about civil disobedience portrayed in a good light where the Titans participate!! A story about improving a neighbourhood!!! It's so good I actually teared up a little. If you read nothing else, read this!!!!!!! I'm obsessed with this story actually!!!!!!!!!!
Teen Titans (1966) #41 "What Lies in Litchburg Graveyard": Another story with quite heavy exploration of the history of slavery in America. Is it accurate and sensitive enough? It's like really not my place to say but it seems to be written to teach people at that time about the impacts they have Mr Jupiter raised by a cool black lady which is cool to me!
Fun and Games~
Teen Titans (1966) #9 "The Big Beach Rumble": They have cute sweaters and scooters and fun, who doesn't love a beach ep?
Teen Titans (1966) #11 "Monster Bait": My favourite Fab5 story from here really, just fun and silliness
Teen Titans (1966) #13 "The TT's Swingin' Christmas Carol": A Teen Titans adaptation of the Christmas Carol, who doesn't want to see KF, A-lad, and WG as the Ghost of Christmas Past, Present, and Future?
Teen Titans (1966) #19 "Stepping Stones for a Giant Killer!": They clown the villain SO much in this one it's just fun
Teen Titans (1966) #27 "Nightmare in Space" (with optional pre-reading of #26 "A Penny for a Black Star" which is the set up): Teen Titans go to space to rescue a lost friend and Donn befriends some funky little cute aliens, what is there not to love?
Teen Titans (1966) #32 "A Mystical Realm, A World Gone Mad!": You get to see the JLA as knights which is very funny and it has lots of Wally and Mal moments in the silliest possible form
