Anon, while this is a perfect opinion, I cannot possibly pick favorites when I adore them all sm.

Like, they’re all so darling to me for different reasons and I just can’t sweep any of them aside 😭 Now, if you mean best fighters—there isn’t a lie.

Ron actually knows Karate, so he put on a swift and more accurate performance. Billy was just a fast learner and has the leg flexibility of a Bratz doll.

I think Tommy would have gotten better over time and made it to their level. I think Dutch is too aggressive and just tries to bull his way through his fights which doesn’t work in a sport that needs a real strategy (he reminds me of a chihuahua that growls if you even look at it<3). And Jimmy I think was always doing karate for the fun of it. We didn’t even get to see him fight in the tournament:( I think he’s a great observer which is why he doesn’t talk very much (delusional) and can probably pick up on things pretty easily, so if he really wanted to be champion or Kreese’s favorite, he would have been more upset being at the sidelines rather than jittering with happiness when his buddies won.

I saw an article about the decline of department stores and it got me reminiscing about spending time with my grandma and parents at Boscov's in NY. As a kid Boscov's seemed so fancy. The indoor restraunt with their little italian bistro coffee cups and the giant wall mirrors made it seem impossibly elegant to small town, child me. I remember once we split up so me and my grandma could get lunch and my parents could shop. It was 2001 or 2002 so no one really had cellphones. But we did have a walkie talkie to keep in touch which neither me nor my grandma knew how to use very well. So imagine our shock when, forgetting the time and ordering dessert, suddenly there was the incredibly loud crackle of a walkie talkie on full volume followed by my dad's voice asking where we were. I remember us scrambling to turn it down and changing the frequency by mistake. It was an entire spectacle with an audience, in a small, quiet department store lunch counter.

My second memory is sadder. I had my heart set on a Bratz doll (I know, I know) as an, again 10 or 11yr old. My mom, in retrospect must have told me she'd get it for me at the end of the week to shut me up. Well I counted down the days until we went back to the store and ran to find that doll and bring it to her. She acted like she had no idea what I was talking about, and put it back on the shelf, and I started crying. Not out of brattiness but because I'd been looking forward to it, and because she broke her promise and acted like I was in the wrong. And my mom being my mom didn't care. My grandma had disappeared for a while, and I didn't think anything if it until I looked up and saw someone holding a white tiger stuffed animal around a corner. It was my grandma, she bought it for me to cheer me up.

My grandma and I were connected by living with my mother's callousness and craziness. I think we might have been closer if not for my mother. My mother always accused my grandma of being cruel, or keeping her from going to college as a young adult. But from my grandma's side of things my mom lived a charmed life full of ballet, karate lessons, piano lessons, everything she could ever want. I think my grandma kind of felt guilty for how my mother turned out. Its hard to tell who's right and who's wrong. I still feel bad that, at the end of her life, the people who took care of my grandmother in her last days, were people who despised her and used her for her money. I was able to visit one last time before she died, and I remember that last glance, when we both knew we'd never see each other again. It was especially sad because all the family besides me and my brother, who loved her, were in Ireland. One day I'll take her and my grandfather's ashes to Ireland and bury them either in a family plot or near where they grew up.

After I collected the original four, I always wanted more Sasha dolls.....Life doesn't always work how you want lol. So instead of getting those other dolls I got Roxxi and fell in love... From then on she became my favorite doll. I remember loving her so much because she had dark hair and was more badass than the other dolls lol...and that karate fit thooooo
