i essentially branded myself btw. not sure if it will heal and go away or not but i currently have a circle of burned skin surrounding perfectly fine skin on my finger. its kinda funky and cool now that its not hurting for hours on end

Meet Professor Ada Harebryane and Lady Pearl van Zieks :)

(A funny for you)

Some explanations for their outfits and names under the cut !

First off, their names !

Ada is taken from Ada Lovelace, a mathematician and contributor to the development of the computer.

Pearl is derived from the origin of the term baroque (which is a homophone with Barok) in that 'baroque' as a display of extravagance came from the term barroco, which describes an uneven pearl.

Outfits !

Ada is wearing a cycling skirt because I think being a cyclist fits her personality (and her and Albert being cyclists is a nice contrast against Pearl and Barok's preference to horses.) Her waistcoat is blue because Albert's is pink (while I could say that it's because of pink being for boys and blue being for girls that's more for babies and there wasn't actually as big of an enforcement of gender colours as there is now, but I digress) It's blue so there's more of a difference with Albert. Her hair is in a bun cuz you gotta keep that out of your eyes when you're messing around with electricity. The straw boater is just because I like it and people be wearing hats in the 1890's (I think tgaa takes place in 1898 and 1899) Her pearl earrings are a gift from Pearl, they're matching <3

You will pry big poofy sleeves out of my cold dead hands <3 Instead of a waistcoat Pearl has a sash-ish (?) kinda belt with the van Zieks crest on it. The crest is also the little gold thing on her hat the feathers are attached to. Her sword is still attached to her jacket like the original (why it was designed to attach to the jacket and not the belt idk, I also think the sash clasp thing he has is weird but that's not relevant.) Skirts match jackets at the time so that's self explanatory. The panel in the front is in reference to Barok's trousers (and that some skirts did have a similar thing) and also so that we can get a break from the blue. SHE IS STILL WEARING THE BOOTS DO NOT WORRY. Hat because people wear hats and pearl earrings because <3

total drama art? when i only remember season 1 and the songs of season 3? more likely than you might think!

i’m experimenting with my artstyle and i really like how these turned out! harold and duncan especially have my heart. kind of unhappy with how justin turned out, though :') he’s just kind of there, lol

ezekiel and duncan designs were heavily inspired by @slimeysodaa! their ezekiel in TDA AU has my whole heart! also, the way i drew duncan’s mouth was also inspired by them. i cannot for the life of me draw mouths and i was looking INTENTLY at their art to see how they did it. their style is incredibly beautiful and i hope i paid good tribute to their ezekiel and duncan designs!

i’m kind of disappointed how eva turned out, i might draw her again since after doing that specific drawing i came upon much better designs lol. izzy and owen were inspired by @insomniactix’s redesigns post of them (i feel like i barely changed anything for owen too, but this design just feels too good to change), and i wanted to do a side profile for noah, for which i looked a lot at the way @braindos drew him, at least for his nose.

i am not used to drawing poses or side profiles - or any intense expressions! - so looking at a bunch of different talented artists really helped me! i hope you like these! <3
