This was not how things were supposed to end.
When you were a child, you always imagined living well into your old age— your grandparents had lived a long time, and so had their parents (supposedly). A good death, in bed on your farm surrounded by your family. Barring that, you would die in battle for your people, giving them freedom with your final breath.
Instead, you were here.
The sheer size of the orc's finger as it pressed on your throat was mind-bending, not to mention the hand or the damn thing himself. He was massive… nearly ten feet tall, stocky, with arms nearly as big around as your entire body, and he had targeted you in the fight.
“Well, lookit you still strugglin’, sweet thing… and here I thought you Tarks were just squishy little things with no fight in ya, eh?”
As you tried to push his single thick, rough finger off of your neck in an increasingly desperate bid to breathe, you wondered why he hadn’t just smashed you with the massive club he had held in his hands. It would have been easy. You watched him destroy many of your fellow soldiers that way. Fuck, he’d even said it himself when he had instead picked you up like a goddamn doll and then decided to carry you off the battlefield while the other orcs continued to pick off what was left of your friends.
Cold air rushed into your lungs as you gasped a little too hard, not realizing it had taken the pressure off your neck. Even as your lungs burned, you gulped for more air, trying to get as much in as you could before the supply was cut off again.
“Wow… well well well.” The orc spoke again, cooing at you like you were some kind of pet. “Drawin’ it out is pretty fun. Might owe that slaver an apology… if hadn't popped his head off already.”
The shivers that ran down your spine were violent enough to make your entire body shake. Your eyes, finally able to focus, widened as you saw the massive orc reach back down toward your throat.
“Don’t, please--!” Your begging was cut off by the finger pressing on your neck again, less than before but still enough to cause your breath to wheeze as it passed through the tight squeeze of your throat. The orc laughed as you struggled to push his finger away, leaning down and growling under its breath-- no, wait-- was it… purring?
“Please what, pinkskin? Can’t hear ya, gotta be louder for ol’ Brûz if ya want somethin’ from me.”
Gods, it had a name? And it sounded like bruise, it was named after pain--
“Look at you struggle! Real entertaining, that… oh, wait. Do I hear some wheezing?” The orc tilted its head, and you tried to keep your breath from sounding like a sad whistle as you exhaled.
“Well, I’ll be. Can you breathe? Well then I'm not pressing tight enough.”
Your eyes widened again as the finger on your throat slowly increased the pressure until there were black shadows at the corners of your vision and your eyes prickled from the strain of trying and failing to get something, anything into your lungs. You could feel your limbs getting weaker, your consciousness fading away-- you were passing out. Maybe this was for the best. Maybe this wouldn’t be the worst outcome… after all, you wouldn’t be alive to deal with whatever it wanted to do with your body after this. If you suffocated, that might be kinder than whatever was in store if you lived.
You closed your eyes, and your arm went limp.
“Oh, looks like I played a little too hard with you, eh Tark?” The orc’s-- Brûz’s voice was muffled coming to your ears as you lost consciousness, spiking your awareness just enough before you fully lost consciousness to leave you with the most horrifying thing you could have heard in that moment:
“Don’t worry… I’ll take good care of ya until you wake up, and we can have some more fun figuring out just how much of that I can make ya take before you go falling apart on me…”

Yandere Brûz Headcanons
For @moonstonevulture and @dirtymeanuruk (and myself 🥴😏)
Before Being Broken:
Brûz is dangerous for how he is both needy and insecure. He masks this well with his Warmonger bravado, but make no mistake: having you anywhere that isn’t either on his shoulder or in his arms makes him nervous to the point of becoming violent, and you wouldn’t want him to getting all upset, would you?
Some of his bad habits and traits include:
Having a constant need to have you within arms reach (being within his eyesight is nowhere near enough for him)
Hating you being within a meter of any other uruk or olog (and yes, it does extend to his blood brothers to a certain extent)
Never letting you have any meaningful relationships with anyone that isn't him (or an acquaintance with his blood brothers)
Nearly crushing you in his grip whenever he decides that you're done socializing for the day
Nearly crushing you in his grip when his jealousy rears its ugly head
Threatening anyone that he believes could (or would) threaten your relationship
Constantly begs you for attention and affirmation
Completely touched starved and is always picking you up and holding you close to his face
Probably has a special set of armour made just for you (you know, for ownership protection)
Likes to squeeze you hard on purpose, liking how fragile you feel under his grasp but it also makes him feel protective, as you are too squishy to be left alone anywhere in Mordor...
After Being Broken:
He's not what he used to be... Brûz is broken in mind and soul but not in body. He still remembers your touch and your scent, even if he doesn't understand why. He's no less dangerous than he was before, perhaps he's more dangerous now than ever before. You are a safety blanket that he cannot survive without. You are always attached to his person, one way or another. Even if he can't say your name anymore, he won't let you forget that he is where you belong.
Many of his old habits and traits remain, but he's much more fragile and needy and he doesn't hide it behind his bravado or use his words to get what he wants.
Rarely puts you down (if ever)
There never was much privacy, but now there is none
You will be covered in drool, tears and snot 24/7
If you aren't touching him in someway, he becomes outright hysterical
His fits are constant and never stop, but you are the only thing that keeps him somewhat grounded and keeps him from flying off the handle
He will get violent often and you will have bruises and broken bones
Your voice is soothing but he doesn't understand what you are saying (he doesn't even recognize his name but the sound soothes him nonetheless)
I'll do his brothers at some point most likely asd;lsdf;-

ATLArda AU in which Fire Lord Sauron sends Zog to resurrect find and tame the last balrog (which was only a plot to kill him), Zog fails to tame it and thus there's a loose balrog spreading destruction around Mordor.
Sauron needs another pretext to end Zog, and which is better than sending him against the Avatar, who had just defeated and dishonored another influential general, Brûz? Bonus points because Zog won't just capture the Avatar, but he will bring him to their side.
After a long series of terrible misadventures and the shocking realisation that he had been bested by a feeble orc waterbender, Zog decided it's time to change flags: he joins the Avatar and his companion (who wants to crush him under a boulder) and teaches him firebending. And lightning-bending! Zog and Ratbag come up together with the lightning-redirection technique.
Of course Zog is a snake and his actual plan is to send the Avatar and Talion against Sauron and let the three of them kill each other, or at least Sauron's death is Zog's first priority, so he can take his place as Fire Lord; in the meantime, he has plenty of chances to learn everything about the Avatar and his weaknesses, therefore Zog has a chance to find a way to kill the Avatar and break the cycle of reincarnations.

Anything For You

by AwkwardKindaTries
“Well, that seems like tough luck, hun. We’ve only got one left.” She says, looking back at you with half the patience that you currently have. Biting your bottom lip between your teeth, you begin to wear at it. With a quick glance behind you, you capture the sight of Bruz leaning against the bar, a large mug in his hand as he retells a tale to the barkeep.
“Well take it”

After Talion gives the fort to some other Orc, Brûz becomes… well, insecure isn't the word for it. He knows he's better than the other guy, the one following Talion for less time and who doesn't even help Talion to secure the damn fort. He knows he's stronger, smarter, and more vicious. It's not insecurity that drives this need, this hunger in him.
It's rage.
It's a cool rage when he allows himself to return to you, having gone to rip arms and legs and heads off some pitiful Uruks to be calm enough to avoid hurting you, but it is rage nonetheless. As he enters your shared room in the fortress, the one where you stay as a treasured pet to the Olog, you can see the rage hiding in his eyes as he says “Get on your knees and tell me how amazing I am.”
You scramble to the floor as quickly as you can, bowing your head to him as he walks towards you slowly.
“You’re the strongest pit fighter in Mordor, the most cunning Olog ever to be taken from the vats—” Your voice trembles as you speak, then cuts off entirely when he lets out a disappointed hum from so far above you. You feel his large fingers wrap around your body, lifting you into the air with so little effort, like a doll.
“Sorry Toots, not the praise I'm lookin’ for.”
You gulp, looking down at him now as he holds you above his head, arms pinned to your sides and legs dangling. His lips are parted slightly, fangs gleaming in the torchlight in the room as his breath comes in slow, steady growls; his jaw is set, the look in his eyes holds no joy or warmth tonight— at least, not right now. He lowers you towards his face, and you whimper.
“Brûz… you're better than every other Uruk, every other being in Middle-Earth.” Your voice is soft, reverent when you speak to him. “You have more strength than this world has seen, and you are cunning and clever and… and perfect. Nothing compares to you.” A deep breath passes your lips, and he squeezes your torso ever-so-slightly more as you exhale, restricting the next breath you take to deliver what you know he's really looking for:
“You're no mere Olog-hai… you are a god.”
The entire room rumbles with the sound of his purr (who knew Uruks purred? Or perhaps it was only Ologs, perhaps the trolls from which they came could purr as well). Brûz releases his grip just as slightly as he had tightened it, and you take a deep breath to enjoy oxygen while you still can. He brings you closer to his face, level with him now instead of dangling from above, and grins.
“Now that's what I like to hear, Babe… now take care o’ me like one.”

Can I get uh some Brûz The Chopper HCs(He was in Shadow of War)?
Okay, not sure if you're looking for anything in particular here, but here are a few Brûz thoughts:
Brûz spent most of his formative years NOT in Mordor. A few things make me think this: first being, he doesn't really speak the Black Speech. Secondly, he's just...different than a lot of the others around him. He fights for power, he plays the game, he's good at the game; but he seems to be one of the few who actually seems aware of the game and that he plays it rather than just scrambling for power on pure survival instincts
Brûz has worked with Rangers (or someone not orcs/Mordor/whatever) before, and it definitely was not by choice or a good experience, probably captured young and either lived as a prisoner or a slave. I'm thinking about when you first recruit him and his words are something like, "Bright Lord, Dark Lord - it's all the same." (Also, see above point about him spending time with humans and being more comfortable in common tongue than the black speech like other ologs like Ranger that hangs with Ratbag.) I think this is why he was able to play ye ol Gravewalker so well. I think that - aside from the constant power game that is life in Mordor - this plays into why he so readily betrays you in the game for a fort he doesn't really even want. He knows what people like the Bright Lord think of beings like him. He knows he'll be discarded as soon as he's no longer useful. He's not waiting around for that.

After becoming Fire Lord/Dark Lord (same thing really, as Brûz would say), Zog would become so paranoid that he will send everyone away and remain alone, he loses it Azula style.
