You were there during the aftermath of 2021. From what I get from the veterans it was hell.

Me I'm kinda new to the fandom. See,I knew about Lewis in about 2017-2018 because I was following Jourdan Dunn and Olivier Rousteing (Balmain) on Insta , and there was this Balmain campaign. So I saw him and let me be real, he looked like that typical lightskin man who is a fuckboy, party like Neymar, is toxic and will live you wahala back, front, left, right, up down and center. So it was a pass.

Then comes I think the time around may 2022 i got interested in knowing who is Lewis Hamilton. Prior to that some aesthetic blog non F1 related blog that were my mutuals and could not name one F1 driver beside him, so in my head this was already a fine fine boy.

I am going to be honest with you I'm not a Lewis fan because of F1 but because of his influence outside of F1 (things like his Tommy gig, Balmain, his appearances in celebrity events like the Met Gala). The main reason I became a fan is because he is handsome and dress well and is an A-list celebrity, so even if you think Formula 1 is a brand of baby food, you know who that man is. Plus as a Black woman I gotta support the only Black man in the sport, so.

But again I joined F1blr in 2022. And let me tell you: it was a mess. Drama everywhere, fandoms war everywhere, racism everywhere and on top of that I do not even understand how a car works! It made me feel like I was Beyoncé and Jay Z had just cheated on me: the fandom was giving me chest pain because I had to defend a 37 years old man's legacy to strangers who had babies with their fave driver in delululand.

Fortunately for me, I remembered that blocking people and filtering tags is something. So now my experience is enjoyable. Okay so here's how it came to be for me. I was watching My next guest needs no introduction with David Letterman on Netflix in 2019. Loving it. Season 2 episode 3 was Tiffany Haddish. I was getting close to the end of the episode, so I took a peek at who's next. "Lewis Hamilton". 🤔 sounds vaguely familiar, I'm like who's that. Read the summary : "World champion Formula One driver..." I go : "aww no fuck that who cares about Formula One". But I'm nothing if not curious. I didn't know who Tiffany Haddish was either. I still watched. I still learnt. I still enjoyed. I think "whatever, if it's boring I'll skip it". It wasn't boring.

First of all same as you he got my attention because he's hot. No way around it. Second of all he got my attention because he explains F1 isn't just sitting in a car, that it's super hard, that it's an actual sport. Third of all he got my attention because he was endearing af. He talks excitedly and knows his shit. He takes David Letterman for a ride and they break a car. He makes his dad stand up from his seat in the audience so everyone can applaud him for everything he did for his son. (Gifs : 1 - 2 - 3) I'm like seriously : WHO'S THAT.

I believed those tall tales. I found the lily james stuff annoying already but stuck around. Enters instagram. All i see is young girls (I'm on the older side, therefore too old for grandpa evans) going nuts about likes and follows. Didn't really pay too much attention, i wanted to believe he was better than this. Then along comes Alba. A literal nobody -for reference I'm typing this from Europe, yeah no one knows her here- and all the assumptions i had made about him come crumbling down. She's an unknown and untalented 'actress' who dropped out of hs, not tall or particularly beautiful and the only thing she's good at is looking younger than her actual age and also taking off her clothes. It sounds ridiculous and parasocial yup but there were a couple nights i couldn't sleep because one of my faves had become a total joke in my eyes. I'm staying not even for the dragging but for people like you, maddy, ginger, mar and the female friendships i made on here and insta. I'm repulsed by him. I think he's the typical creep who once they turn 40 they start chasing the young ones to relive their glory days. He'll never find the love he claims to want, cuz prob he doesn't really want it. It's obvious he hasn't grown a bit not even after Slate. He hasn't learned a single thing, about himself, women, life... He'll remain stunted. And i agree with what you're saying about his self-esteem, but he's said arrogance is his biggest flaw so I do think now his 'pissiness' w the fandom and why he doesn't anything only trollba dumps is because he's somehow mad his fans didn't fall for his shit this time, girls found her nasty roles and photoshoots and let's be honest i doubt his hollywood colleagues are impressed with his sugar baby. I don't think he'll ever change or get therapy, which is sad. And i also have the feeling he only went public with this chick because his fans once again caught him with the hand in the cookie jar. So he's still trying to sell that he's a great serious committed bf. Who flies you back in economy, draws stuff on your chin and records you while he makes you look stupid. Some thoughts about Kristina:

We know she grew up as crown princess, so obviously she grew up with all the pressures, but as another layer she would be the first crown princess of Sweden ever. The change to the law of succession making the heir first born child regardless of gender was made in the 80s, so it would have applied when her dad was growing up. If she didn’t have any brothers there’s a chance it might have been changed specifically for her, which adds a whole other layer of pressure. Then, there’s the misogyny aspect of it, where there’s an idea that a woman would make a weaker ruler because of her emotions/ that they would be too emotional to leave. She’s probably had to intentionally tamper down any feelings so people would respect her as a leader and not question her decisions.

She’s also a grieving mother, she is clearly affected by Erik’s loss, but despite losing her son she still has to be the fave of the monarchy. She might be pushing down her emotions even further because if she let’s herself fear all that grief will bumble to the surface. If she lets herself show too much emotion others might question her ability to rule. Her way of protecting herself was to harden and thats what shes trying to do with Wille because its the only way she knows how.

I think she does truly care about Wille but her entire life has been warped by the crown and the pressures of the role, and she’s never really been challenged to unlearn that. In her mind, she’s doing what’s best for him. It doesn’t excuse the ways she’s hurt wille but there’s more nuance to it. She’s also a victim of the weight of the crown, and she’s passing along that weight and trauma to Wille because she doesn’t know any different.

OKAY!! so i finished it yesterday night! and i went to sleep around 3am afterwards because i was watching edits on yt/insta like crazy😂

i won't lie, there were things that i didn't like or i think had no real influence on the story in the end, like Kim's investigation (and i'm sorry, i know how much you love Jeff🤧) and his relationship with Chay as well, since i wasn't looking for a university romance in mafia drama👀 Jeff's 'Why Don't You Stay' OST is BEAUTIFUL tho😭😭 i can't stop listening to it🤧 also, what in telenovela-ending was that? the last episode was so messy i was sad all the previous amazing work was kinda stomped on by that "he killed your mom" Korn dies .."no, he killed your mom" Korn suddenly lives and so does the killed mom😅😅 also Porsche thinking he's related to Kinn for like 3 seconds because of all this shit Korn was saying and then Korn goes "your mom was adopted"🤣

but when i ignore that disappointing 14th episode... I HAVE SO MUCH MORE TO PRAISE🙌💖 the fact i thought this is just gonna be your typical perverted BL drama and everyone loves it because the hot guys are fucking, but there really wasn't that much sex in the end? at least not as much as i expected😂 i always get annoyed by the guys in BL acting like women and here the dudes were just dudes.. Porsche was super.. active and manly-seductive bottom😳😁 i love Kinn actually apologized to Porsche in the woods and their time alone wasn't used only for making-out as it usually is when the couples stay alone in other stories.. their whole communication skills felt extra fresh to me, especially as i've seen Cutie Pie this year😅 mafia guys in/near their 30s seem more authentic than the usual 18yo scrawny boys we get in other BL dramas😗

i loved all the main actors' acting, but girl, the psychos always show the most so i gotta go and appreciate Vegas here😳💖 he was *chef's kiss* the fact he could go from borderline evil while torturing Pete to kicked puppy in a second when his father appeared.. gosh.. amazing i actually got stuff spoiled here on tumblr (mainly thanks to you😁) and i've seen gifs of that scene with Vegas telling Pete he wants to be killed by him so when that scene actually came on and he survived i was like "phew, thank god😪".. what i haven't seen before was that scene by the pool where Vegas gets shot multiple times😳 when that happened i probably had eyes the same size as Pete😂😂 BUT THE ACTING BY BOTH OF THEM IN THAT SCENE!!! IMMACULATE🥺 don't even remember if i cried because i was so shocked😅 but i probably did🤔 and Vegas' english? made me blush srsly...💦

Kinn totally isn't my type look-wise, however his acting and voice got me so hooked he became my second fave from the cast💖 okay, i can't actually decide between him and Pete😅 i could give unlimited praises to Vegas, Kinn, Pete, Porsche and Tankhun's actors🙌 and Kim's "don't" in the club😳

the humor kept the drama so easy to watch, some things i totally didn't expect, like Tankhun hitting Vegas with the tray when he was acting all suave😂😂 or Porsche farting under the blanket😂

there are srsly so many things, i wouldn't be able to stop talking😅 i just loved it so much and now my life is empty, because the past months/year i couldn't really get into anything, everything started boring me after some time and i'd either drop it or force myself to finish it😪 but this i couldn't stop watching and i was mad the evenings/nights are so short😂 i feel like a Jehovah's witness now tho because i'm recommending it to everyone😂
