Now, I’ve been wondering, how would Elias Walker be if he also had a daughter? Like would he raise her just like he did his boys? Would the daughter take over the Logan favoritism (being the youngest child in this case)? Would he have a military-“boys take care of your sister, she’s a girl, she’s weaker”-mindset? And most importantly, would he be a girl dad?

Elias with a daughter added on, how do I think he’d be? Honestly, I think in any case, the youngest Walker may be getting The Golden Child treatment here…many such cases. I could absolutely see youngest daughter Walker essentially being treated in such a way that Logan was, except in this scenario i feel it’d be more of a ‘two protective/scary big brothers and father at your disposal’ way. Like, nobody is tryna fuck with her (except Rorke, he dgaf).

If we wanna assume that Elias (a middle aged military man) may be a bit on the traditional side (I think he is), I could see that translating into the mindset of needing to be even more protective over his daughter, and thus his boys needing to be more protective of her too (as they already are with each other). But I don’t think he would see her as weaker. In fact, I think he would ensure she become the opposite. Whether she were to follow in the family tradition and join the army or not (I like to think she probably would), I think Elias would make very sure that his daughter is capable of surviving on her own. Any way you slice it, sons and daughters usually do get raised differently across cultures, but I think this is where Elias would differ a bit, especially considering the state of the world they live in. I’m sure he would want to ensure her future just like he did with the boys, and raise her accordingly. I feel like he would’ve had that tougher/stricter side as a father (not mean though), and I don’t think he’s the type to let his daughter be the exception to that just because she’s a girl (would he sometimes go easier on her than he would the boys? Probably. But she’d be raised just as tough methinks).

As for him being a girl dad in this case, I can definitely see it lol, despite him also having two sons. I know a lot of fathers tend to ‘princess-ify’ their daughter(s), and I think despite (my hc of) Elias’s parenting generally leaning toward an authoritative style, he’d absolutely baby his little girl sometimes (all the time). Honestly, I get the vibe that he babied the boys from time to time too, lol. However, with the topic of favoritism again, I just don’t generally think (in this au or just with the Walker boys) Elias would actually have a favorite, despite the many interpretations of how he treats Hesh vs Logan.

Overall, I think he’d essentially parent her the same as he did the boys, but with the obvious inevitable differences that tend to come with raising sons vs daughters.

Price would be a very nice dad, as in would be the dad that LOVES his kid’s friends, takes them as his own and if a friend comes to his house they are eating at least a snack. but a partner? quokka fluffy price is being brutally stabbed and his cold captain comes into play, silently judging your kid’s partner and you have to hit him and scold him to be nice. eventually warms up and the two go on fishing trips together.

Gaz carries around two pink sparkly backpacks for his two daughters, loves them. And those bags have all the essentials, snacks, toys, change of clothes and hand sanitizer. Doesn’t matter where you go the backpack is coming too, and he insists on carrying it too! You just watch him take over and you just relax. Probably cried on the first day he dropped his girls off at school.

Soap, this man holds his son like a dad holding a fish, funniest shit ever. Accidentally swears in front of his son, his son is like a parrot and says the swears everywhere and Johnny thinks it’s funny, until you get mad at him for teaching the kid how to swear. Definitely makes explosives with the kiddo in the backyard, keeps them safe of course but scares the shit out of you.

Ghost? GIRL DAD THROUGH AND THROUGH. Him with a teenage girl is a dangerous combo, any boy looks at her funny to Simon and he’s pulling up to pick his little girl up in full tactical gear to scare off any potential boyfriends/girlfriends. Definitely helps her with school projects, except he’e massive and somehow accidentally makes minor mistakes. Or has stickers on his face, has his nails painted occasionally or plays princess dress up and drinks his tea pinky out and legs crossed, little plastic princess heels made for a four year old on his big toes.

Alejandro would definitely encourage your kid(s) to do extracurriculars, and at events he will be the absolute loudest person cheering. With signs, and everything. Let’s use soccer as an example he would be a soccer dad, got the van and everything. Makes sure the kids respect you, if not they will get a scolding and a firm tap with the slipper, he would never hurt him.

Rudy would be the most tolerant dad ever, want to stay out late? Maybe if he knows who his kid is out with, sure. A sucker for puppy dog eyes though, one time his kid saw someone selling bunnies on the side of the road and looked at it for a second too long, few years down the line you have a rabbit the size of a small dog and Rudy absolutely adores it.

Graves is the daddest of all dad’s if that makes sense. Does the weird throat thing at ungodly hours, the hand thing when the kids have snacks in the car and carries them around on his shoulders, probably cream abuses them (aggressive lotion application)… Makes sure his kids get outside and they will have a strict screen time limit until like middle school. Caught him playing Barbies with your daughter once.

Valeria is the definition of protective mother, she would be strict but means well. If one of her men lets say scares your kid she is yelling at the man until he cries. Definitely keeps her kids out of her line of work, but never her line of sight. HELICOPTER MAMAAAAAA

Keegan would be the type of dad to stay up with your baby when their fussing at night, or as you guys call it ‘the night shift’. When the baby starts babbling he just nods along, tells you that “Look at ‘em! Planning world domination, definitely my spawn.” Would tell them to take swimming classes and all that survival shit to be safe when their older. Made the baby a tiny version of his mask and carries a rattle wherever he goes in his pocket. (mandatory)

Hesh would definitely make Riley reveal the gender with a tennis ball filled with pink or blue pigment, trained Riley to bring him clean diapers, pacifiers and everything. Him and Riley are basically teaming up to raise this kid, and you don’t really have to worry about much.

Logan would be very interesting, would give your baby a whole apple to eat if their growing their teeth in but makes them wear an apron and keeps the area extremely clean if their painting. Frames every little painting and probably does those cute little crafts with them like the pumpkin butt thingy.

Ajax is probably the funnest dad quite literally ever, installed a whole play place in your guys’ backyard just because, makes sure to make the kiddos childhood as memorable as possible which means doing stupid shit with them and occasionally ending up at the doctors for a broken arm or something. Definitely freaks out when they get sick and buys everything, just piles the medications at the store in when you ask him for medicine.

Kick is totally becoming a soccer mom, Lululemon insulated mug, the van and a cooler with snacks in the back. Probably known as the ‘cool dad’ at your kid’s school. Definitely feeds into brainrot and such to keep the cool dad status. Your kid probably turned into a partial iPad kid.

Seeing König with a baby for the first time was absolutely hilarious to you because he was so big and the kid was so small, definitely refused to breathe on the baby incase he hurt it. But once he started holding the baby he turned into a jungle gym, let’s the baby use his mask as a baby blankie, made himself a new one. Spends way too much on the baby… A concerning amount.

kinda has a scene in my head where hesh accidentally found rorke's journals on one of stalker's old base they inspected for possible leads to him. and his face slowly getting white after every page, because between short remarks about ghosts, missions and plans where were a bits of descriptions of all them: dad, logan and him. with dates and places where he got them – mostly daily and from their dad.

for exaple:

'23 may, 2015 on our main base.

found out that elias currently looking for a pet as gift for boys. i suggested trained german shepherd so in his absence boys would be protected. he seemed to like it. also noticed that he got more gray hair. it suites him.'

or

'16 february, 2011 in our safe house.

elias is near me learning asl right now. asked him why and he said that logan's speaking problems have chances to get permanent. he sounded troubled and i told him that logan is gonna be okay because he has him and david. he smiled. thoughts about sons makes him calm down. need to remember that so next time i can get another smile. his shoulder getting wider. i like it.'

it would be a sweet little thing if only it wasn't gabriel rorke's journals. he knows why there're literal pages written about his family and it makes him physically sick. what a twisted mind rorke had – and maybe still has – to recap every single personal conversation he had with elias. the thought makes him dread.

he trembles while putting one of a journal aside. hesh knew there was something wrong with a way rorke spoke about them on that damned mission: like it was personal matter to him to get all walkers together. but those pages added to the full picture new details. it was indeed a personal matter for gabriel. like he wanted to see whole family he thought and dreamed about.

and one thing is his obsession with them, but in those journals hesh saw not only rorke's observations. his impact was here too. a little details, nothing major, but there were enough of them to shape walkers the way they were before odin.

Before the baby was born, he was nervous. Didn’t think he’d be a good dad. But the second he held them? Game over.

The first time he holds your newborn, he just stares for a long time, completely still. He’s never been one to show big emotions, but his eyes say everything—pure love, He was afraid to lift them up a bit to his lips and peck their forehead :(

He gets up for late-night feedings without a word. One night, you wake up and find him in the rocking chair, gently swaying with the baby on his chest, "You can put them back in the crib, babe." you said Resting your hand on his shoulder which he shrugged with a smile "They’re fine here." (Translation: I don’t want to move them.)

Whenever the baby grabs his finger in their tiny hands, he just stares at them in awe, as if he still can’t believe they’re real.

The baby loves the sound of his heartbeat. Anytime they’re fussy, he just lays them on his chest, and boom—instant calm.

He may not be the most expressive, but if he ever catches you and the baby sleeping together, he just watches for a moment, quietly smiling to himself, thinking how he got here.

His kid starts crying, and Logan, despite being tired, doesn't hesitate. He picks them up carefully, rocking them slowly back and forth.

The first time he holds the baby, he grins so hard it looks like his face might break. "hey Look at them!" He said with his warm, dripping tone looking at them PROUDLY, "Who ever thought..."

He insists on “introducing” the baby to everything in the house, Hesh, holding the baby up like Simba“And this... is the couch. You’re gonna spit up on it a lot.” You lost your heart already at this sight "Oh my god david not like this!!"

Hesh is the kind of dad who’ll talk to his baby like they’re already understanding him, often teasing them in a playful way.

That's why his baby start talking early and understanding cuz hesh is talking to them like normal human.

He talks to them as if they understand every word. “You’re a good kid. I promise, I’ll be here when you need me.”

Sometimes, when the baby cries and you’re exhausted, he gets in with his smile a proud one, acting like a hero who will solve problems—“Don’t worry, I got this.” while holding your shoulder, then proceeds to rock them while pacing around the room, yep. he needs your help.

Whenever the baby falls asleep in his arms, he refuses to move. “I don’t care if my arm falls off, I’m not waking them up!.”

He can't help but wondering if he do what elias used to do with him and logan from raising and taking care of.

Feeding Time: Hesh has absolutely no chill when it comes to feeding. He tries to get the baby to eat everything, like he was crushing the cookies and put them in a spoon like a cereal because why not.

You’re both in the kitchen, and Hesh is trying to feed the baby their first solid food. He’s a little nervous but tries to hide it.

“C’mon, little one, let’s get some food in you. You gotta grow big and strong like your old man.”

The baby makes a funny face, unsure of the new taste, but Hesh is laughing.

“Yeah, I know. It’s a bit weird at first, but you’ll get used to it.”

You stand beside him, holding the baby’s bib in place.

Hesh is the “fun dad”—the one who hypes up his kid like they’re a superstar.

Feeding Time: Keegan is super chill about feeding, but he’s the first one to notice when the baby is definitely not eating, he once decided to let you asleep and takes the responsibility to feed the baby.

“Did you feed them yet?” you entering the kitchen to find keegan has already finished

Him sitting on a chait arms on his chest eyes closed“Yeah, but they just threw it on the floor. Like I said, it’s not my problem.” yep it is not his problem to clean the floor.

He’ll sit down, grab the baby’s hand gently, and show them how to hold the spoon properly, though he’s secretly a little proud of how fast they’re learning.

He grins at the baby “Yeah, you’re gonna be a pro at this in no time. Just don’t use the floor as your plate, alright?”

Teaching to Talk: Keegan doesn’t push the baby too hard, but he’s got his moments when he tries to teach them.

You and Keegan are sitting on the floor with the baby, encouraging them to say their first words. Keegan keeps repeating "dada," trying to get them to say it.

The second he holds them, he just exhales slowly, and you can tell he’s completely smitten.

Quietly devoted, strong, and calm. Merrick is the kind of dad who can be serious and focused but always has a gentle, protective side when it comes to his baby.

He’s a man of action, but when the baby is placed in his arms, it’s the one thing that makes him stop and reflect.

the baby gets fussy, he hums—deep, soothing tones that somehow work like magic.He’s super patient with late-night wake-ups. If you’re exhausted, he tells you, “Go back to sleep. I got ‘em.” when he’s holding them, he just looks at you and shakes his head with a smile. “We made a good one.”

Loves doing skin-to-skin contact, just resting the baby on his chest while he leans back on the couch. They always fall asleep that way.

Merrick wakes up early, always making sure to prepare the baby’s things before he go to work. He’s very organized, almost too much at times. But he’ll never complain about the work—it’s just part of his commitment to his family.

Lowkey has a soft spot for baby giggles. The second they start laughing, he’s doing whatever it takes to keep them going.

Feeding Time: Merrick’s the dad who always has a backup plan for everything, and feeding is no different. He’ll get the baby to try new foods—anything to expand their palate.

Merrick is super strong, so when he holds the baby, it’s like the safest place in the world. You’ll sometimes catch him gently swaying as if he’s thinking, even though the baby is happily asleep in his arms.

If your child gets hurt, he goes into full military medic mode. “It’s just a scratch, but we’re gonna clean it up properly. Hold still.”

The type to instinctively catch his kid if they trip—even if he’s across the room

Merrick was born to be a dad. Calm, wise, Tough and just has his life together.

once when he tried to leave for his work when he gave the baby a kiss on his head then walking to the door, but that stopped when the baby start fussing about him slightly disappear behind the door.

merrick not wasting any time closing the door and getting back to the place "nevermind I will retire".

His kid is fascinated by his war stories, but he makes sure they know the difference between reality and fiction.

He lets them make mistakes, but he’s always there to guide them back.

Merrick is the dad that everyone wishes they had (yeah im running out of ideas).

Kick:

It happened before mirrage like 3 or 4 being lovely partners and no one even had the thought about it

but it happened XD

Acts like he’s totally cool about being a dad, but the second he holds the baby, he’s done for. You find him staring at them, just completely fascinated, You shrugged, find him staring at them, just completely Lost.“You okay?” he didn't even lift his head to look at you “They’re just... really small.”

When the baby gets a little older, Kick’s all in with the physical play. He’s the dad who will “pretend” to be a superhero and will throw them up in the air (safe and sound, of course!) just to hear them giggle.

"OH MY GOD KICK??" ofc you had heart attack.

“Don’t worry, they’re in safe hands. Daddy’s got them.” him smirking at you while the baby is almost done from giggling.

He’s so hands-on, so engaged, that you have to remind him to give the baby some space to crawl on their own.

Feeding Time: Kick acts like it’s no big deal, but he’s definitely the one to crack jokes to get the baby to eat.

You sighing but trying to keep the smile on your face for tricking the baby into eating “Come on, just eat your veggies.”

Kick holding up a spoon to them“Oh, you don’t like broccoli? Shocking kiddo.”

“Wait, how did I know that was coming?”

“Oh my god kick you're not helping!”

Teaching to Talk: Kick is so sarcastic about it. The first time the baby says a word, he acts like it’s the most monumental thing in the world.

Kick is trying to teach the baby to say “dada” first, but his approach is playful and silly.

“C’mon, kiddo, say ‘dada.’ I’m right here.”

The baby giggles at his antics, but no word just yet.

“You’ll be saying it in no time. You can’t resist this face.” Kick said as he point at his face with his two index fingers.

Baby saying “no” for the first time “No!”

Kick deadpan“Well, that’s just rude.”

When the baby’s old enough to squirm and wiggle, Kick just watches in amusement.

You looking at how your kiddo has grown up “I don’t think they want to sit still.”

Kick shaking his head with a chuckle“It’s a phase. But if I try to hold them still, they’ll just squirm out of my grip and think it’s hilarious.”

"yeah sounds like you" giving him a wink, which led him to give you a half gazed eyes

The chill but sarcastic dad.

Has an “if it ain’t life-threatening, you’ll be fine” parenting style.

The definition of unbothered but somehow always has things under control.

He has this natural Dad Reflex. One time, your kid spills something, and without looking up, he just reaches over and catches the cup mid-air.

you catch him adjusting your kid’s blanket at night, read stories and he gets into them so much. especially when he gets to a plot part "christ??" Him eyes widened at the kids stories

You and Kick argue playfully about who’s the favorite parent.

“They like me more.”

“No shot. I’m the fun one.”

Your child chooses the dog instead.

You find him napping on the couch, your kid curled up beside him, using his arm as a pillow.

He doesn’t even wake up—just shifts slightly to pull them closer.

Changes diapers with zero complaints, but absolutely roasts the baby while doing it.

“Man, how did something this tiny make this much of a mess?”

When the baby cries, he picks them up, holds them against his chest, and just walks around the house, murmuring “Shh, Daddy's got you.”

He acts chill about it, but if someone else in the family gathering or a party is holding the baby for too long, he’s suddenly right there. “Yeah, okay, hand ‘em back now.”

He loves laying the baby on his chest and pretending to be asleep just so they fall asleep too.

The laid-back dad who somehow always knows what’s going on.

His kid thinks they’re being sneaky? Nope. Kick already knows.

“Nice try, kid. I did the same thing when I was your age.” ahh dad type

Kick is unbothered. His kid is climbing the furniture? He waits to see if they’ll figure it out themselves before stepping in. (but ofc he will be some kind close to them).

The “cool” dad who lets his kid do fun stuff, but only if they do it right.

“Wanna learn how to fight? Cool. But you’re learning proper form first.”

His kid tries to trick him with a fake injury.

Kick just stares at them with a smile. "Nice acting. You want an Oscar for that?"

“Ugh, fine, I’m not hurt.”

“Yeah, thought so.”

His kid tries to trick him into letting them stay up late.

"Mom just told me I could!"

Kick, without looking up "Nice try she’s asleep."

What Animal Team Ghosts Would Randomly Bring Home To You (GN - Headcanons)

(Note: This is just what I (My headcanons), enjoy reading!)(Could be seen as Platonic, Romantic?) (GN Reader) (Elias, Hesh, Logan, Keegan, Merrick, and Kick)

Elias Walker: 

-  Elias has.. habits. He brings home a lot of different animals throughout the years, Riley being the permanent house/military dog.

- Elias has definitely brought home any animal he thinks needs rescuing, one day it will be a cat, the next a little bird, then next a little mouse that needed saving from a mousetrap. You cannot stop this man, he has a mission in just rescuing animals as a unsuspecting side gig to being a literal military commander. (I like to think he's a animal lover, even if it's a ‘secret’)

- You point out a stray dog or cat? That's his now, (if the animal will allow it and wants to come with), Hesh and Logan have gotten used to their father bringing home random animals “...Can we even keep that, Dad?” Hesh would ask every time if it was a random animal that shouldn't be a pet. “Why Not.” Would be Elias's answer every. Damn. Time. 

- Elias would also ensure to tell you, Hesh, Logan, to not touch the more aggressive or ‘spicy’ animals he brings home, basically makes sure you all respect the animals and ensure the animals wouldn't hurt you three.

- If any of the animals he brings home are ‘unfit’ To be around kids (yes, he still calls Hesh and Logan kids, and maybe even you too if you have that type of relationship) he would find a good animal shelter, sanctuary or a good home for the animal.

- Why do Hesh and Riley have a good relationship? Elias taught Hesh how to train Riley, ensuring that Hesh would always know Riley has his back, having Riley around brought a sense of security to Elias as he felt like his boys could be cared for by Riley even if he wasn't around.

- Elias would give a deep chuckle with a half smile as he walks through the front door, spotting you as he carried a small bird in his hands, he would offer a hello, and show you the small baby bird he was now keeping due to finding it injured in the driveway. 

- Basically most people go to this man when they find a random animal, because somehow Elias is always good at knowing what animal, the species and what the hell is wrong If there is something wrong. Everytime Elias is asked about his knowledge, “Documentaries are nice, you should watch them. Maybe then you can learn something for once” He would respond by accidentally being brutal. 

- “Do you feel comfortable? Or should I find a better home for this little guy?” Elias Would ask you, Hesh, and Logan every time he brings home a new random animal, the house has become a farm at this point. You want an animal? As long as you know how to care for it and it wants to or can be around? fine by Elias, do your research and show him you can care for it, and he'll make it happen.

- Yes, you have random animals cuddling up to you in the middle of the night, is it one of the cats? Or could it be the tortoise that Elias has had for years? Or maybe it was just Riley, you'll be in for a surprise if you left your door open.

David 'Hesh' Walker: 

- Hesh would bring home lizards, just imagine him coming home with a few baby lizards in his arms, Riley having one on his snout with wide eyes.. the dog was very steady in slowly creeping behind Hesh as to not drop the little lizard across his snout and head.

- “Oh, Hey..! didn't realize you were home” Hesh would sheepishly admit, as he adjusted the lizards in his arms, trying to get them to stop climbing everywhere. “...Surprise..? No welcome home..? Alright”

- If you don't like the lizards? He'll put them back outside, leave a little bowl of water incase they need it.. Poor Riley would waddle after Hesh, having lizards all over him, trying to walk but being so careful not to hurt any of them.. Riley ends up bringing the lizards in the house, Hesh laughing if you freak out.

- If you do like lizards? He'll put one on your shoulder or head, bonk. There you go, you got your own little guy.

- Your house gets taken over by lizards, Hesh doesn't find it funny after he found one in the washroom at 2AM the next morning, if you have a fear of lizards? Good luck, you scream? Hesh will come to save you, but Riley likes the damn lizards and keeps bringing them inside accidently and it becomes a big mess. Hesh apologizes about fifty times for it.

- “..This might be a little problem” Hesh would mutter as you smack or elbow his stomach, he would wince a bit and be grumbley he couldn't ‘tame’ wild lizards like his father could, awkwardly rubbing his hair as he would pat your shoulder and promise to deal with it.

- It took three weeks. Three weeks to get all the lizards out of the house, and Hesh only kept one bigger lizard, which he built a cage for and now cares for as it had a small injury.

- He gives a soft smile, and a tilt of the head, like a 'I did it' face, in the end, you both are relieved that the lizards are no longer all over your home.

Logan Walker: 

- Logan brought home a large frog, well like a large overweight bullfrog, No questions asked, No answers given as he just plopped it in front of you. Like a silent, I brought you this.

- If you like the bullfrog? You can keep it, Logan would buy a big enclosure for her, and silently look proud of his work, he would feed, care and love this frog like it's his damn firstborn. Even takes photos to send to you, Elias, and Hesh. ‘Look at my frog. ignore she's a bit big, we are working on it'. Texts little updates about this frog every week.

- If he can't care for it? He’ll expect you to, please care for this man’s frog. You don't have to pick it up if you don't want to but feed her for him when he's away if you are still around the house.

- Logan would randomly just plop the frog on you (if you don't mind), frog on your head, frog on your shoulder, frog in your hands, frog on your stomach.. He would just randomly plop her on you, and smile. 

- If you don't like the frog, he will give her to Elias for safe keeping, willing to just visit his frog but wanting to keep the peace between you two.

- Logan likes frogs, if he finds one interesting enough he will just catch it to show it off to you, a rare smile playing on his lips as he lets the frog poke their head out of his hand to show you. Like Logan is quietly and silently asking if you love the frog as much as he does. If you don't, that's alright, he'll find something else to randomly bring you as presents.. Logan always gently puts the frogs he catches back where he finds them.

- Frog catching was definitely a hobby, one Hesh got him into when they were young children. Hesh may have 'forgotten' about the competition about frog catching between them but Logan would never. 

- Logan actually tries to start this competition with you, who could catch the most frogs? If you don't want to? That's alright, he'll show off the frogs from a decent way away. If you do? Get prepared to get dirty, this is war, mud was on both of your clothes, as you two had looked for frogs for hours and who do you think would win?

Keegan P. Russ:

- Keegan isn’t scared of many things in life, so when he brings home a large snake? Wrapped around his neck like it wouldn't hurt him, as he causally walks into the apartment, a wild snake around his neck.. You might be a bit hesitant as it's about 3AM, and Keegan just got home.. with a random big snake.

- Keegan gives a head nod as he put the snake down on the couch.. Like it wouldn't just slither off around the apartment, Keegan puts his hands on his hips, and glances at you before glancing back at the snake. “I have a pet.”

- Yeah, that's all he said to you, do you like snakes? If you are chill with it, Keegan's chill, Keegan will buy a large enclosure for the big guy and ensure he's well fed. 

- If you don't like snakes..? Or are scared of them, Keegan will ensure the snake is kept in a large enclosure, and wouldn't take him out around you. But he does keep him, and nurses the snake up to full health again.

- Keegan would slowly get the snake used to his and your presence, feeding him well so there was no accidents, slowly getting the snake used to you both and making sure to do a tad bit of research about this species to ensure he doesn't fuck up.

- “Put this on” Keegan would say with a straight face and a quiet chuckle as he put the large snake around your neck, his hand not leaving but staying between you and the snake's head, and would tease you if you were scared.. but if you got to scared he would take the snake back and keep him away from you. Keegan wouldn't apologize but would make it up to you for scaring you.

- You always see Keegan with this snake, attempting to scare either Logan or Hesh, whoever was closest to him, maybe even put the snake in Kick's bed, having had ensured the other man had no weapons to hurt Keegan's beloved snake... But also giving Kick the scare of his life.

Thomas A. Merrick: 

- Merrick brings home a small baby squirrel, holding her in his gloved palm, as she was covered in dirty rainwater, and oil. Merrick had just returned from a long mission, still wearing his gear as he accidentally woke you up at around 4AM.

- He would apologize quietly as if trying to make up for the fact he woke you up and asks you to start a little bath in the sink for the little squirrel.

- Merrick was a bit quieter in the morning, as he sat by the kitchen sink, not even taking off his gear, you both would gently clean off this baby squirrel.

- If you don't want to keep her, Merrick would be alright with that, very understanding as he would end up bringing her to a vet for them to figure out what to do.

- If you do want to keep her, Merrick would nod and do his best to ensure the squirrel would be happy and cared for. Merrick would pat your shoulder or head as a thank you, and find a nice spot to put the little squirrel, ends up just making a small bed in an old shoe box.

- Merrick ends up training the squirrel to bring him any amount of dollar bills, Merrick would grin when the squirrel would pass him a five dollar bill and give her lots of headsets and snacks. Merrick would give You a smug I told you I could do it look.

- You two end up having this squirrel for a long while, oh you're cooking something? Watch out Ms.Squirrelly might run past and try to steal your ingredients, you want five minutes alone in the shower, Squirrelly is outside the shower waiting for you, you leave the groceries out? Guess who ate them already. 

- Ms. Squirrelly is very loved by all, even if she does steal money. She's a little thief, but Merrick adores her, and yes he keeps that money to buy you or Ms.Squirrelly a nice gift. 

Kick: 

- When Kick walks Into the house carrying a goat, what do you do when it screams bloody murder when she sees you? Kick was very straight faced as he looked at you, holding her up as if to show you nothing bad happened.

- Kick stole a goat. Who knows where he got the poor girl from, Kick wouldn't give You any details, he just walks into the house and puts the goat down in the kitchen, asking her to shut up as he put a plate of fruit in front of her.

- When you ask what the hell, or why he just shrugged as explains he found her alone while doing a test fly with a helicopter, claiming he just found her and took her home.. He basically just kidnapped a goat from who knows where.

- Kick and the goat don't even get along, she will follow him and you around, but the moment shes alone with Kick? she screams, she just makes the worse screeching noises around him, like he hates this man.. But she doesn't leave even if You give her the chance to. 

- Yeah, the goat vibes with you, but it seems like Kick and her just despise each other, like if one of them are in a room, and the other walks in? One of them will end up leaving.

- Kick regretted taking the goat in, he dislikes loud things.. and this goat is loud, she hates him, and she makes sure to ‘tell’ Kick. Kick will look at you with a straight face.. every time, it just makes it funnier.

- You don’t really have much of a choice, unless it is necessary this goat won’t leave, Kick has tried. She just randomly pops back up in the backyard and you both have to keep her. 

- The only time Kick and this goat get along is when Kick gives her food or ‘fights’ her, play fighting a goat, basically Kick has ran out of ideas but it makes the goat shut up for a while.

Walker Brothers Hcs pt 2 (California Edition)

we all know the boys grew up in san diego and they simply, are the typical socal type.

every moment the boys weren’t in the woods or involved with Elias, they were at the beach.

they rode their bmxs everywhere. LIKE EVERYWHERE.

they would have little competitions to who can hit the best jump/trick and the loser bad to buy the winner an arizona from the local liquor store

they would drink SoBes: hesh’s fav was the piña colada and logan’s was the strawberry banana

in n out was and is always their comfort food

their family “trips” would be to in n out in the truck and they would all eat in the bed (extra points if its during sunset)

hesh got really into sublime and elias feared he was gonna start smoking weed

logan took the linkin park route n elias feared the kid was going true an existential crisis (he was like 13)

keegan calls logan “cali” when he wants to be a smartass n when hes not calling him “kid”

they were padres fans growing up but elias had a soft sport for the giants (norcal n socal UNITE)

they were never the surfing type but they were the “rush the waves n try to drown each other” type (sibling shit as per usual)

the boys never grew up normally bc they were military brats. so they spent a lot of time on the bases in sd for ghosts business but elias told them it was to finalize his retirement papers

growing up in san diego made the boys want to be navy but elias never really gave them the choice of choosing another branch. so when odin hit, there REALLY was no choice

every time the boys had to go back to no mans land it pained them bc that was HOME

they dont like fish. for how many fish taco places are in sd. they HATE fish

even tho their dad had always owned fords the boys realllyyyyy wanted a tacoma or a 4runner (yota for life dawg)

they werent surf kids. never had a knack for it. BUT they were skim board kids. and they liked bikes

hesh loves to bring up childhood memories.

but elias did the most. he would always tell the other ghosts about “his boys” and the shit they got into.

when the other started to get more comfortable with the walkers, they would recite the stories elias once told ‘em

mrs walker would always SMOTHER them in sunscreen before they went out, especially when going to the beach

cargo shorts and flip flops EVERYWHERE. but when they got older than it was cargo pants n boots

Random concepts and ideas for pre-ODIN teen Walker brothers:

→ Riding in trolley carts and feeling the wind of the coast. The ride is bumpy but the air is filled with lighthearted laughter. Might get yelled at by the owner of the store, but they're making memories here.

→ Nursing small bruises after trying to learn how to use a skateboard. It was Hesh's idea to try out learning a few new moves, he dragged his lil bro into skating and got into a little incident. Constantly hushed Logan but tended to the scrapes with tender care.

→ evening walks by the boardwalk, smelling the salty air and listening to Elias's stories. He likes to talk about his experiences in the army, training by the beach, or how he first saw Mama Walker at a boardwalk carnival.

→ morning jogs with dad by the beach and taking breaks to admire the sunrise and its reflection.

→ keeping little silly secrets from Elias like injuries while outside or sneaking out. At least Logan is a quiet boy, but it doesn't stop Hesh from stifling his giggles and shushing him.

→ finding the prettiest shells in the sand, or the smoothest stones to skip on the water. Hesh was good at skipping stones far, Logan was good at finding the smoothest and flattest stones.

→ catching that stupid cicada outside the window.

→ Logan borrowing (stealing) Hesh's stuff and getting away with it. Hesh thought he lost his stuff and stopped mourning long ago, only to find them in Logan's possession.

→ swimming in lakes or in the beach without telling dad

→ lying out to sunbathe in the sun to dry up their wet hair so Elias won't even suspect a thing

→ Elias later finds out anyway.

→ Going on road trips in dad's truck and singing along to the songs on the radio. Screaming out the lyrics they know by heart as Elias chuckles, then hums along with his boys.

→ competitions to climb the tallest tree, judged by Elias. Logan is slower but Hesh lets him win most of the time.

→ Logan getting Hesh to win something he couldn't, may it be an arcade or a videogame level. Hesh does his best just so he could make Logan smile.

→ digging through boxes from Elias's youth, only to find old polaroids of Mama Walker when she dated Elias, all of the pictures in pristine condition and safely filed in a picture book.

→ There are also some old videotapes of the Walker boys as kids. Mama Walker liked to ask them, "What do you want to be when you grow up?"

→ Rewatching the videos, they miss the future they could've had.

→ The brothers going through training by Elias, and once they're out of whatever obstacle course set up, he drives them back home and gets them a takeout treat of their choice.

→ The boys enjoy their snacks on the road, and fall asleep in the truck. When they wake up, they're home.

I just finished watching CoD Ghosts...

and my thoughts on it are:

first of all, I'm glad Riley is not dead. poor baby took a shot and his whimpers broke my heart :((( but his presence in the first 2-3 campaigns (if I'm not mistaken) made watching the game quite nice

Keegan looks the coolest in the Federation Day campaign. Honorable mention to his excellent driving skills in another campaign and also calling Logan 'kid'. I was amazed by his ability to sneak up on Fed soldiers and silently kill them. Makes him so much the more deadly.

Rorke killed Elias for WHAT. I know it's revenge, brainwashing, and beating down the morale of the boys, but still, damn. I only watched Elias die like yesterday and i still haven't recovered. I lowkey really missed hearing his voice in the later campaigns like I was actually his kid (well we do play as Logan so). But yeah they really did well on the family closeness and relationship to make the player/viewer feel this sense of loss

atp I think Hesh is the main character of Ghosts because bruh, Rorke took his dad AND his brother. developers lowkey gave him the Jujutsu Kaisen treatment but to a lesser degree. I don't know if a sequel is coming but if they make one where they weren't able to save Logan, I'm sure Hesh will be the main character, and boy what a ride it will be for poor traumatised Hesh to go up against the only one person he had left in his life. Not only would he have to face-off with a brainwashed Logan, but he'd eventually have to kill him too, and Rorke (if he manages to remain alive). He'd have his vengeance but also, at what cost. I can't imagine the additional trauma it would dish out to Hesh. And if by that time both sides have children who also join the military and have learnt about the either side, I can see a vendetta happening. But but alternatively, since it's the US military we're talking about, we know they won't leave anyone behind. I can alternatively see a hostage rescue happening, and they'll go all out on their enemies while they're at it. Maybe this is why there's no sign of a sequel. The events that take place after Logan's capture is left to our imagination.

Free my boy Logan >:( I was spoiled about Rorke taking Logan captive. I get a bit bothered by spoilers, but thanks to this spoiler, I was able to notice a couple bits where Rorke expresses interest in taking in Logan. I think that's pretty cool

The story was wonderful as a whole. The voice acting was amazing, especially for Hesh. I could keenly feel his pain and anger in the more tragic scenes in the game. The audio-visual aspect was amazing; almost made me wonder how they knew what it looked like to be in those specific situations like drowning or that ringing in the ears. I feel like it would be hard to replicate but they did such an amazing job on it. It was very immersive. I think I'd feel everything ten-fold if I got a chance to play the game for myself.

Ah, that was one hell of a ride. Now I gotta finish reading Devil's Breath.

Part one (MDNI)

34 weeks.

34 weeks pregnant with a prominent baby bump, hormones flying everywhere and your body changing rapidly to accommodate a child.

Breast pumps were purchased, a hospital bag was packed way in advance, and poor Hesh had been working relentlessly to make enough money to keep you and your child afloat.

Regardless, as a Lieutenant, 65,000 dollars a year was plenty when you considered your work as an accountant. It was lovely seeing him work harder, but it worried you more.

This time it wasn’t, “What if David doesn't come back?” Now it’s “What if David doesn’t come when our child is ready to be born?”

You hobbled yourself to the kitchen to make yourself food, craving the most random eggs and avocado mixture which sounded disgusting, but your body wanted it.

A kick landed in your inner stomach, and you winced a bit. The child was active, even during the night, and especially when you had your hot baths.

You rubbed the swollen flesh of your stomach, sighing in tiredness as you put your now scrambled eggs onto the frying pan to cook.

A quiet three knocks hit your door, and you knew who it was but David of course had the key. The door had opened and Riley ran in first, the little tapping of his nails trotting down the halls alerted you and you smiled.

“In the kitchen!” You called out, hearing the duffel bag thud to the ground and footsteps near.

It wasn’t long until Riley spotted you and licked at your thigh gently. He was kinder since you got pregnant, and he just knew by the smell of you that you were going through it.

Whining from Riley made a chuckle rise from David as he followed the pup into the kitchen, seeing you with a much bigger belly bump than he remembered and he instantly began peppering kisses to your cheek, jaw and neck.

“My mama’s gonna be a real mom soon. I’m so happy, you’re gonna be the best mom.” He murmured, watching you cook up some eggs for yourself.

“Sorry I didn’t make you anything, I didn’t know you were gonna be home so soon. I thought you were gonna be back by midnight again.” You said softly, kissing his cheek back in greeting before dishing out the finished eggs. A bit of mashed avocado was put on top, and while it disgusted you, one bite of it had every nerve in your body loosen.

“...Eggs and avocados? That’s new.” David chuckled at your weird choice, but made his way into the kitchen for some pork slices, cheese and mayo to make a simple sandwich.

“You’re saying mine is weird, but pork, cheese and mayo?” You teased back, kissing his cheek and going to sit at the kitchen table.

Watching him in his full glory was always your most memorable ritual, just looking him up and down had hearts form in your eyes.

“Mama, your pregnancy cravings are growing on me.” He responded, smiling.

David finished his sandwich and sat beside you, feeding Riley a piece of the pork slice and shooing him off before happily eating away.

This made you smile wide.

“If you’re such a good doggy daddy, you’ll be a good dad in general.” You murmured happily, finishing your food and pushing the plate aside.

David smiled at that, pressing his forehead to your shoulder for a moment before finishing off his sandwich.

His hands found their way to your baby bump, gently rubbing and feeling for any kicks.

“While I was gone, did you find out the gender?” He asked with a small nervous expression. He didn’t care about gender, he just wanted a healthy baby. Well.. he was leaning towards a boy.

“You promise not to scream bloody murder at the news?” You smiled.

David nodded with vigour, excited for the reveal.

You took a soft deep breath, and gently took his hands in yours. His warmth, it was back.

“It’s a boy.” You said simply.

David gave the softest “yes!” as if he scored some big win, and smashed a big kiss to your cheek. For the rest of the day, he was tied to your hip and talked to your baby bump way more than before.

Even if it was a bit nerve wracking to let a baby into the world at its worst, you were happy that it was with David.

Inside the hospital with monitors going for checkups on the child you managed to push out of you, David sat at your side with eyes blown wide. He’s seen people die, not being born! He made the mistake of taking a peek.

So there he was, watching your face soothe as a nurse gave you a bit more pain medication and run off to go check up on the others.

“You okay, mama? You did it, you’ve reached the checkpoint.” He assured you, squeezing your hand and kissing your knuckles.

You smiled so softly, you were certain it didn’t show. But your happiness was apparent when your hand gently squeezed his.

“I did it? No, you were a great help during the process. We did it, David.” You chuckled, speaking almost above a whisper.

The doctor came in with your child wrapped in a blue towel to signify its gender, and placed it on your chest for you to cradle.

Hands gently holding the child, the cries of the baby were the most angelic sound. The baby was alive, healthy, and even if there was a spike in one of the vitals, they said it was a common thing for newborns and it’d go down in a few weeks.

“We still haven’t had time to choose a name, David.” You reminded him.

He thought hard, looking at the child and back at you every now and then. It hit him like a train, the idea he had.

David gently took the baby from your hands, looking at the sweet face of his child, the sweet fuzz of hair growing and the red cheeks.

“Jakob. Jakob Walker.”

Keep thinking about unhinged Walker boys. Not even after Rorke took Logan, just in general.

Like, their late teen years were very tumultuous because of ODIN/joining the army, they are 26 and 28 during the game, they’re still YOUNG.

Mid-late 20s and they’re fighting an intense war for their country, fighting on their father’s behalf, fighting a grudge from HIS past, etc. I absolutely believe, aside from their training keeping them in line (and the other Ghosts), that they’d understandably be a little manic at times.

I think you can mostly see it in the way Hesh acts sometimes in the game. Not to say he didn’t have every reason to lol, but he did act bratty and defiant at multiple points, and I think that’d be multiplied in a way we didn’t even see.

Before Elias died, he knew exactly how to keep them in line, being their father and all, but after he was gone, I see the rest of the Ghosts (especially new Captain Merrick) having to reign them in more than anticipated. With Elias being dead and Rorke still being a flaming cunt, they would struggle even more.

Keegan, Kick, hell even Neptune would have to participate in Operation: Keep The Boys Sanity Intact, because they certainly don’t have the mental bandwidth to do it themselves all the time (their brains are very FRESHLY fully developed…)

And I love that in game, Hesh has a specific monologue after Elias dies where he’s all calmly and solemnly stating that they’ll take over for their dad, finish the mission, etc. And yes they are grown ass men, been through a fuck ton of training…but let’s be so for real lmfao, that’s a lot to have on your plate for two dudes that are hardly cresting 30 years old.

I just think, aside from the few moments we see in game where they (Hesh lol) are loosing their shit a little, it’d be much more chaotic on a personal level than was shown.

I wrote something about the mentor/mentee dynamic I think Merrick would have with Hesh AFTER Logan’s taken, but I like to think he’d literally have double on his plate before Rorke snatched the baby off the beach.

I just like looking at both sides of the same coin. They grew up too fast, they’re no doubt traumatized, have been through extensive military training, and all the personal experience we see them gain….that definitely sobered them up real quick and knocked their maturity levels up several pegs.

But at the same time, I just don’t believe they’d always be that put together in the ways that we see, especially not compared to the more experienced elder Ghosts. Perhaps a sort of “we’re mature but you guys are seasoned” type of vibe.

And despite the only real description of Logan’s personality being that he’s a quiet, cold blooded killer, and an excellent soldier…bro is quite literally 26 years old and in the damn trenches, you can’t tell me he wasn’t routinely being a brat when he was able to be lol (babies of the family lock in!).

Even more interesting on Logan’s part, who would really be keeping him in line primarily when he acts up, pre or post Elias death…? Davey poo I’m afraid. And I think Hesh would get to a point where the weight of it all, plus keeping Logan in line and on the general right life path would have him tweaking.

Imagine having all that on top of you, then your dad dies, and your only surviving family is your clingy little brother…lmfao. Of course Logan is more than capable on his own as we can see in the game, but, and it’s been said before and will continue to be said, Hesh was parentified to the max. And it only becomes more clear when you read between the lines.

I just think in similar, but also their own separate ways, they’d be a little off their rocker sometimes. I like to imagine Keegan having the common fanon agreed bond with Logan, and helping him keep his eye on the prize, and I feel like Hesh would attach himself to Merrick (even older male authority figure, he lives and breathes the slivers of validation he’d get…)

And then there’s Kick…lol. In an unforeseen way, I imagine him being like a sort of glue in this scenario honestly. We don’t get much info on him, he’s hardly even in the damn game very much, but I think of him as being oddly very wise (not too far off since he’s not younger like the Walkers, but he’s probably not a whole lot older than Keegan/Ajax either) despite his nervous system being just as shot from fighting a war. He’d be like the cousin with some randomly sage advice for Hesh and Logan.

TLDR; the Walker brothers are frazzled, they need an Ativan, therapy, and a long winters nap

Hesh and Logan both played baseball growing up. Logan played shortstop and Hesh was 1st Base. They were never on a team together but you best believe that they were always hanging around the other’s team.

Elias was SUCHHH a baseball dad. Probably coached their tee ball teams. Anyway AHHHHHHH baby Hesh and baby Logan 🥹🥹🥹 I love them so much.

Elias often says that Tana's too good to be looking after a bunch such as themselves, but there's honestly not a lot of other candidates he would've given the job to

He speaks highly of her to anyone who asks, her records and commendations aside - he thinks she's an absolute pleasure to be around

Helped her gain her confidence back as a soldier, and enjoyed seeing her adapt to the team over time

Tana sees him as a 'work dad', confiding in him and seeking his advice when needed and doing her best to ensure him that his faith in her will not be misplaced

Of course there's the coarse banter and exchnages in their social environments and even within the GHOSTS, Elias isn't afraid to speak up and tell someone to tone it down if he hears any chatter that crosses a line or outright disrespects Tana

Knows she can take the ribbings - but mutters with a tight smile, arms raised in small surrender, about how he's not responsible for what happens if they keep going and that it's out of his hands on whether or not she patches them up after enough provocation

⟢ David "Hesh" Walker

Tana is in the GHOSTS before Hesh is, but they'd been close friends prior to her joining

The two met in Fort Santa Monica's main infirmary - Tana being the one to set Hesh's shoulder back after a particularly rough mission

Hesh decided that after their chat and the laughs they shared, he'd try to keep coming back to see her

They learn that they both had to grow up quick at young ages and eventually understand and trust each other enough to be carefree around one another, it's a relieving feeling

Often sharing music - literally swapping MP3 players and CDs and making playlists for each other

Late night drives off base and down to the beach with a bottle of whatever they can get their hands on becomes their thing

They go between lighthearted, silly conversations to the late night deep talks that leave them both craving to explore their connection even more

Tana often tries to coax Riley away for company because her family didn't let her have a dog growing up, Hesh indulges and lets her take the boy for the day - the way her face lights up is worth it to him

⟢ Logan Walker

Tana is quick to latch onto Logan, he often reminds her of one of her younger brothers and she holds onto that for a while

Careful not to overstep though, she tries to let Logan set the pace at the start of their friendship but the semi-awkward reassurances that she's always there for him is present

Eventually he does let her to get to know him more, he can find her to be a bit overbearing at times when she's in mother hen medic mode

Tana doesn't outright say why she fusses over him the most at times, Logan figures the big sister energy exuding off her is a hint

She comes to understand him more over time, without the need for words and just by picking up on his tells, habits, etc.

If Hesh or Keegan aren't by his side during an operation, it falls on Tana to back him up and they work well together

Occasionally Logan joins Hesh and Tana's movie nights, they do try to include him wherever they can

⟢ Keegan P. Russ

Tana likes provoking this man a lil too much in her free time

She would absolutely hit him with the 'Who would win - 100 Men vs. 1 Gorilla?' question and try to counter every point he makes no matter what side he's on

It definitely keeps things interesting though, the others listening in on their talks and shaking their heads with a chuckle, knowing it's all in good nature

I headcanon that Keegan collects sports trading cards - stay with me here

Tana finds an unopened Topps Baseball Series pack during a field mission, giving it to the man she's certain would enjoy it

Keegan lets her open it, wanting to share the moment together and here they are, getting excited over a dirt covered foil pack of untouched baseball cards

Well her luck FLOPS because she pulls all repeats and Keegan never lets her live it down and says her luck is gonna carry over to their team poker nights as well, AND IT DOES

⟢ Thomas A. Merrick

Included in Tana's lore is her former captain - Han 'Frosty' Xaiyavong, who was one of the original GHOSTS alongside Merrick, and someone who he considered one of the best out of the squad

After Han's death, there was a hole within Merrick that he refused to acknowledge - and then came his brother's replacement in the form of Tana

He had mixed feelings about it, uncertain of how she'd do out in the field after being cooped up in the medical wing for a couple of years, and Elias being so quick to fill Han's spot

Merrick grows accustomed to her and lets her prove herself, learning how reliable she can be and builds trust with her over time

Finds they can share the same sarcasm that gets them into trouble sometimes

Not a lot in common, but that doesn't mean they're entirely distant - they like to keep a positive rapport with each other for the sake of the team

Overall ending up like good work friends, they yap a to each other here and there, usually on longer reconnaissance assignments

Usually sharing stories from different periods of their lives or some random fact they learned that spirals into like 5 different topics

⟢ Alex V. "Ajax" Johnson

Tana and Ajax become quick and close friends - twin flames if you will

I headcanon that Ajax was also from Los Angeles just like Tana, a lot of their early conversations involve the shared memories of their hometown that was now barely recognizable due to the war

Of course they have the Los Angeles vs. San Diego debates with Elias (go dodgers)

Out of the whole squad and history of the GHOSTS, they get into the most predicaments™️

For example, they camped out in a thunderstorm mid field op instead of sheltering in the nearest building that they 'most certainly saw a ghost' in because they decided they were NOT messing with that

Gets absolutely silly with this man but not in the way she does with Keegan or Kick, these two rip out some of the most genuine and hardest laughter from the other GHOSTS with their braincells put together

Bar buddies. Did the team really have a night out if it didn't end in them having to drag both Ajax and Tana off the dance floor?

⟢ "Kick"

So these two are the true menaces of the group when put together

More often than not they tend to target Keegan to see how he would react

I stand on the grounds that Kick would be one of the main instigators in the squad and Tana becomes his partner in crime

They commit to each other's bits/improv way too often it gets on some of the other GHOSTS' nerves at a certain point because they can go on for SO LONG

Oh the team hates to see them on missions together they will be singing white girl bangers on comms at any opportunity

A lil too comfortable too quick with one another, they share the same sense of humor and click well

The type of friends who bully each other out of pure affection

Elias deadass couldn't tell at one point if they genuinely didn't like each other or that's just the way they talked to each other

Logan Walker

Logan is not scared of much, but telling Elias that he wants to date you? That makes his stomach twist.

He knows Elias trained them hard, expected nothing but discipline, and he doesn’t want him to think he’s losing focus.

He overthinks it for days, wondering if Elias will think it’s a bad idea.

Hesh notices. One day, he just gives Logan a flat look and says, "You’re acting weird. Just tell him."

Logan finally works up the nerve but doesn’t know how to start the conversation.

So logan heads up to elias, Telling hime he wanna talks about something important.

The campfire crackled in the quiet night, faint embers floating up into the cold air. Elias sat across from Logan, arms crossed, watching him with that unreadable expression— actually waiting for him to speak something. Logan cleared his throat, gripping the beer in his hands a little too tight.

"So," Elias finally spoke, giving a simple smile. "You gonna tell me what’s got you looking like you just stepped on a landmine?"

Logan exhaled slowly. This was it.

"I… I wanna date someone," he said, voice steady despite the way his fingers fidgeted.

Elias arched an eyebrow, can't help but his smile widened a bit. "Oh?"

Logan hesitated, searching for the right words. "It’s not just anyone. It’s—It’s Y/N."

The silence stretched for a second. Logan braced himself for any kind of disappointing lecture that elias may give to him, for Elias to tell him that he needed to focus, that this wasn’t the time for distractions. But then—Elias chuckled.

Not a mocking one. A warm, knowing one.

"Logan, son… I was wondering when one of you boys would finally admit it."

Logan blinked. "What?"

Elias leaned back, shaking his head with amusement. "I’m not blind. I saw the way you look at ‘em...." Elias let out a sigh holding his beer "’s the same damn way I used to look at your mother."

Logan swallowed. He hadn’t expected this. Not this easy acceptance, or the mention of their mother.

"You… you don’t think it’s a bad idea?"

"A bad idea?" Elias scoffed. "Logan, if there’s one thing I regret, it’s not telling your mother sooner that I loved her... I fought it for a long time. Thought I had more time. But war doesn’t wait for love, son. You grab it when you can."

For the first time that night, Logan let out the breath he had been holding.

"So… you’re okay with it?"

Elias grinned, reaching over to clap a heavy hand on Logan’s shoulder. "Hell yeah, I am. Just don’t be a damn coward about it, yeah?"

Logan chuckled, shaking his head. He should’ve known Elias would see right through him.

Same as logan, he never opened up with elias about his emotions.

Having hard times to get to the point but then he got it!.

He runs through a million worst-case scenarios in his head.

What if Dad thinks I’m not taking training seriously?

What if he thinks I'm slacking?

Of course he is gonna say yes but what if he feels kinda disappointed?

He practices how to bring it up but it always sounds dumb in his head.

He finally tells Elias when Logan gets tired of his whining and tells him to just do it already.

"Okay, okay, but what if he doesn't like it?"

Logan gave him a flat look. "Then what, he grounds you?"

Hesh groaned, running a hand through his hair. "Man, I don’t know! I just—I respect Dad, y’know? And if he thinks this is a bad idea, then—"

Logan cutting him off, deadpan "Then you’ll be a grown ass man crying in his room. Got it. Just go talk to him."

So he did. Well. Kind of.

It took another hour of pacing outside Elias’ office, logan swore that if he hadn't respected hesh he would have thrown him in the office and get done with it already, Then hesh finally knocked and walked in.

Elias glanced up, seeing Hesh standing there with his usual energy—but there was something underneath it.

"Something you need, son?"

Hesh shifted, rubbing the back of his neck. "Uh… yeah. So. Funny thing—" He broke with a very short chuckle.

Elias waited with a bit frowning eyebrows. Hesh cleared his throat.

"I’m, uh. I’m dating Y/N"

Silence.

Hesh Looked at everything but elias pretending he hadn't said anything.

Then—Elias just laughed.

Hesh blinked. "…Wait, what?"

Elias leaned back, arms crossed over his chest, still smiling. "Son, I’ve known that since the second you started looking at her like she put the stars in the damn sky."

Hesh’s face went red feeling the heat. "Hey now dad..."

"Oh, you do. You got my heart, Hesh. Wear it all over your face."

That shut him up. Elias softened a little, voice lowering.

"Your mother was the best thing that ever happened to me. Kept me grounded. Reminded me there was more to life than just war."

Hesh swallowed hard. Elias let out a breath, watching his son for a moment before nodding.

"Come on now...I had you in this life when i was only 23, you're 28 man up!"

Hesh wasn’t expecting that level of support, but something about it made his chest feel lighter. He let out a breath he didn’t realize he was holding and grinned.

"Man, I was so ready to start doing push-ups on command."

Elias chuckled. "Well, since you brought it up—"

"Nope, I'm leaving." Elias laughed as Hesh bolted out the door.

And as Hesh walked away, he realized—he didn’t just get his father’s approval.

He got his blessing.
