Saw someone pointing out how despite his size and strenght Bowser is often shown holding very gently little things like game controllers, teacups, phones, piano keys...and now I'm thinking about Luigi feeling dizzy as instead of the rough and crushing grip he expects, he's held very gently like a tiny animal. Bird hold.

Which is all fine and good, but damnit he was hyping himself up for the big monster manhandling experience.

Luigi getting thrown in a room after being hassled for info on Mario, unsure of when someone will be back to throw him in the dungeon or why they haven’t already. Then he hears a tick drip creak and it drives him crazy because it’s such an easy fix for a pipe. So he does. He rummages until he finds the tools he needs and fixes it. So Bowser has him fix more things around the castle, god knows it’s needed. It’s hard to find handymen when you’re, well, evil. He’s just a prisoner after all, it’s the least he can do to earn his keep.

Until Bowser is complaining about something to Kamek, unaware Luigi is working so close by. But the solution is so simple, how could Luigi not give him advise? And, ok. Now Bowser has a new soundboard for his ideas, because Luigi is actually pretty smart… for a prisoner.

And one day while they’re chatting and fixing things, Bowser just sits down at the piano and starts to play. Luigi is amazed, but doesn’t say anything. And as Bowser plays the song transforms into something very familiar, despite them being from different worlds. But it’s so familiar that Luigi can’t help but hum along to it as he works. And of course he’s got the voice of an angel, so Bowser is entranced. And slowly but surely Bowser falls in love as their time together turns into something less business and more personal. And of course how could Luigi not reciprocate once he realizes the Monster holding him captive is actually smart and sweet and vulnerable and kind?

So as Mario and Peach are throwing together an army, Bowser and Luigi are just falling in love. And when they finally storm the Castle Luigi has already tamed the beast.

any beauty and the beast au/parallel with bowser and luigi i just want to remind everyone that Luigi is not from that world so he'd actually be the beast in that context. hes bipedal monster with no shell, able to wriggle in to any place with large whiskers and a nose to sniff out his prey and he speaks in mysterious language (italian) and an ear splitting wail. very scary. legend says theres two of them

Luigi and the Beast Chapter 15

Oh? What's this? A second update to this story, but this time an actual chapter with Luigi in it???

Ha. I posted earlier that I was planning on posting today, so here it is! It's a fairly long one, too, almost 20k words. There is no Bowser, sadly, but there is plenty of Luigi and the Koopalings (and Junior) interaction, so hopefully y'all will like it.

A warning, though... there is talk about a potential past suicide attempt. I say potential since it is unclear in the text whether or not suicide was the intent. I posted about it on my Tumblr if you want to see the context, but I would recommend reading it after reading the chapter, or else it might not make a lot of sense.

Anyway... I hope y'all enjoy! No idea when/if the next chapter will be, but I'll keep y'all updated!

Summary:

Luigi is a simple man who lives a simple life. Every day is the same as the last, with nothing ever happening that changes the status quo. While some may think his life is boring, Luigi enjoys it well enough, relishing in the simple monotony, not needing endless adventure and excitement to make his life have meaning.

Unfortunately, everything changes when he gets the news that his beloved brother, Mario, has been kidnapped by a fearsome beast in a far off kingdom that he’s never heard of before. To make matters worse, in his endeavor to save his brother, he ends up making a deal with the beast where he has to stay as a prisoner in his brother’s place. Will he be able to survive his captivity in the castle of a beastly king? Or will he find that maybe there is more to life than simplicity, and that sometimes the best things in life require a little risk?
