i think the teenagers going to bowie or raj for advice on queer stuff just because they are the only openly queer people is a hilarious concept. wayne cries to them because he doesn’t understand romance and sex and why people want them and bowie just pats his back and diagnoses him with aroace. emma rants about how much she hates chase and how annoying men are and how annoying romance is and maybe if she HAD to like someone it would be easier if it was a girl but she doesn’t want a relationship and oh girl you’re just an aromantic lesbian. ripper bursts into their cabin at 2 AM because he just had a bisexual awakening but can’t put it in words so he just ends up going through every single thing that made him realize he likes damien AND axel. priya is being pat on the back as she realizes that damien and millie definitely meant something to her before caleb.

after everyone has confessed their hearts out they just kinda stare at zee like. you gonna go too? and they just shrug and nobody wants to force them but bowie takes a better look at them and oh. um their outfit is the colors of the non-binary and pansexual flags. yeah those are aromantic, nb & pan pins on their cap. yeah we just totally overlooked that. wow. that was right in front of us the whole time. oh they’re actually in a qpr with four people on the island. that’s sick. good for them. but how are we this stupid.

Can we appreciate our boy Wayne and the way he handles Raj coming out? Because from the beginning it is said that Wayne suspects Raj sexuality, and instead of confronting Raj about it or demanding him to tell him, he patiently waits for Raj to decide when he will be ready. Wayne is super excited every time Raj talks to him because he thinks that the time has come, but he doesn’t show any disappointment in front of Raj when he doesn’t tell him. He only complains with himself, and the confessionary.

And Wayne doesn’t complain because he thinks that Raj owes him the truth, he complains because he is worried that Raj may think he won’t support him. And he expresses this worry by telling Raj that they can share all types of secrets because they are best friends, not by pressuring him on coming out just to show him his support.

Wayne didn’t even assume Raj sexuality! In one scene he says he may be gay or bi, but he is just waiting for Raj to talk.

This boy is a himbo with only two moods – hockey and supporting Raj. And I love him so much for it.

I don’t know what the writers did to create this character but good for them!

PS: I think people should apply this example on real life, specially that kind of people that thinks that everybody owes them transparency when it comes to their sexuality. Nobody owes you details about their private life – not family, not friends and not the celebrities you stalk and harass on the internet.

there’s something about raj that just speaks to me.

i love how this fandom agrees that his hockey friends all talked about girls and he could never relate to them or join in the conversation. he beat himself up for not being able to contribute to a seemingly normal conversation.

as a lesbian who had that same experience (but with boys) i cant begin to explain how awful the feeling is. the isolation is sickening and it definitely hurt me and messed me up more than i thought.

knowing that raj probably experienced this makes me love him even more. like i just want to cry thinking about this ☹️ im so happy he has bowie and someone as supportive as wayne
