The sweetness is then curbed by an earthy hops, which combines with a smokey flavour in the mid-sip. Picking up some of the rye spices on the finish, that creates a warming feel. 🔥⠀ CAMPFIRE ⠀ By @boshkungbrewing ⠀ —————⠀ Rye Ale ⠀ 5.0% abv⠀ —————⠀ ⠀ If you’re going to do a rye ale, do it right!! That might sound a bit harsh, but seriously, rye in a beer is fantastic when executed properly. My tastebuds like rye to be in your face and up front. Give me that spice and bready malt character in full force.⠀ ⠀ A beautiful spicy rye character leaps out of the glass with a distinctive underlying subtle smoke. Love it. I also pick up small aromas of cherry. Campfire pours a deep amber, bordering on red, with a bulbous foam that doesn’t quit. The subtle smoke continues to the palete, capping off a rich malty foundation that balances nicely with spicy hops. This is a very unique and tasty brew.
