Imagine being Rami’s daughter and the borhap boys love to mess with you

I know it doesn’t matter really at this point but how close were Joe and Rami during the Pacific/pre Borhap years? Cause they made it seem like they were best friends from the start during borhap promo but there’s interviews from back during the Pacific era where they both said they weren’t close until the very end and then it seems like they didn’t keep in contact that much until Borhap started filming? Of course they’re best friends now but I’ve just always wondered how much they really were close before Borhap?

Okay so. I’ve heard this before, countless times, back when BoRhap came out, when it was the one year anniversary, when Joe awarded Rami and made that lovely speech at SBIFF, and now. It comes back every six months.

Why do people constantly assume just because friends don’t see each other constantly it suddenly means they’re not friends anymore? Rami and Joe were seen vacationing together in Venice last year, and Croatia this year.

I can’t speak for how close they were in the early years, but just because people don’t talk everyday or aren’t seen publicly hanging out doesn’t mention they’re not close. People don’t understand how adult friendships work. You can go years without talking to some people and your friendship will never fade. My own best friend and I go two or three months without talking because we know we’re both busy and have lives and respect each other’s privacy. We’re still close.

I fully believe Rami and Joe are those types of people, I consider them platonic soulmates, and frankly, it’s none of our business how close they are or have been in the past. They don’t have to explain their friendship to anyone, nor do they have to publicly talk about how much they love each other for their friendship to be validated. They can hang out privately, have photos on their camera rolls that we’ve never seen, and enjoy things without us speculating about it.

Just because this discourse REFUSES to die in this fandom, here are some examples of how much Rami and Joe have expressed their affection for each other:

-Rami has stated multiple times that he and Joe formed a bond on the pacific that by the time BoRhap came around, he and Joe had a short hand. Rami has said he couldn’t have done BoRhap without Joe, which is a testament to how well they work together and how close they are.

-Rami asked Joe specifically when he could’ve asked ANYONE to present him with the outstanding performance award at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, and Joe gave such an emotional speech and we got tons of photos from that night with them being so affectionate.

-Joe said if he could work with Rami on every shoot from here on out, he would. Does that sound like a pair of friends who would fake their friendship?

-Joe posts photos of Rami and him all the time on Instagram for his birthday and just because Rami doesn’t use social media and isn’t as active as the other three doesn’t mean he’s not as close to them. It’s just that he chooses to not engage in that particular medium. They’re still best friends.

Also, honestly, friendships change, people change, we don’t know what happened, and we shouldn’t speculate. It’s rude and childish. We can appreciate what they have now and talk about how we love them, but to say that they weren’t really friends when we don’t know the full situation isn’t nice. Again, they don’t need to validate anything to people on fucking tumblr.

Sorry this was so long, I didn’t mean to rant so much, but I’m so tired of this. Let people enjoy things without criticism and let people enjoy whatever company they want without having to prove anything. It’s exhausting.

Do you still think Ben and Olivia broke up? Just wondering

Ahahahaha I never believed that they were dating in the first place!

Since the one and only source that said they were dating was a celeb tabloid page, I've been questioning the authenticity of the information.

Like tabloids are known for taking small things and blowing them out of proportion or straight-up lying in order to sell their story. Soooo 😬.

It's so easy for writers to just type out and say that they fell in love during filming or put faked quotes that neither of them ever said.

And because the articles kept on mentioning Pixie, the movie they're both in together, what it's about, when it might be showing, bla bla bla, I'm pretty sure that them dating was a pr thing so that they could garner more interest in their very unknown movie. But since the pandemic was only getting worse, pr decided to scrap the stunt.

Also, as many people have mentioned, neither of them follow each other on any social media, Olivia's first post on insta mentioned how she was much happier alone "with nobody but my own thoughts", they actively remove tagged posts that show them together when they were "dating", and they never even mention each other at all.

So I think it's safe to say they "broke up".

Which fandom did you find more welcoming: Queen or Bon Jovi?

I was lucky enough to have joined the Queen fandom with the release of BoRhap, so it was pretty easy to fit in as the movie brought a lot of other fans. Still, there were a few people who have been in the fandom for much longer and were like "I thought everyone knew this already" when someone discovered a new Queen anecdote like Roger climbing up to a girl's window. I'm not talking about all long time fans, though! Many of them were really sweet and happy that the fandom is still growing 50 years later. I think it's a bit harder as a newbie to get friends now that the hype around the movie is over and I've seen some discourse on other social media platforms, so I kinda get the feeling the fandom is splitting up now :/

I've personally perceived the Bon Jovi fandom as pretty chill and welcoming. There's almost no fighting and even Insta stans are more respectful than some of the Queen stans from what I've seen. We're a rather small fandom on Tumblr because there's no huge biopic and I believe that's why everything is sort of like a tea party and the fans are more relaxed. Gatekeeping isn't really a thing here as far as I know and people don't think of new fans as a "just here for the trend fake fan" like I've heard from some Queen fans (thankfully I didn't have to experience that). People aren't stalkerish either and 99% of us respect the band and their privacy. Also no one gets "cancelled" like it has happened to almost everyone from Queen and the BoRhap cast.

All in all, I love both bands and have made friends in both fandoms, but I recently started distancing myself from the Queen fandom (on Insta at least) because it's slowly getting toxic on there ugh

And yes you’re right it does make it more special when they do post about each other. Too much of everything can feel fake even to fans

the only stuff she knows about them is through me and their social media tbh and seeing as they never post pictures with rami she just kinda assumed they weren’t really friends lol 

the thing that i would worry about is if joe just kept posting pics with the borhap cast and nothing else, i mean people already accuse him of living off his friends success we wouldn’t want that to get worse

Part 1: First Meet

When he first got the news, he was beyond excited. He had gotten the part of John Richard Deacon for the new Bio-Pic, Bohemian Rhapsody. The movie was all about the rise of Queen as well as some of the hardships that the band’s Front Man, Freddie Mercury went through. Miraculous enough, when Freddie found out he had gotten AIDS, he had been able to get treatment for it and the treatment was successful. Now, he was still touring with Queen. All four members were still rocking out in their 70′s.

“Okay guys!” Brian Singer, the director of Bohemian Rhapsody shouted, getting everyone’s attention. It had been a few weeks since the cast of the movie had arrived in London to film. Joe was beyond excited to learn that he would be acting, once again, with one of his best friends, Rami Malek, who was playing the man himself, Freddie Mercury. “We’re going to be having the actual band Queen coming in about an hour. We are also going to be having a photoshoot of Rami, Ben, Gwil and Joe in their costumes for Live Aid. So, actors, please start heading towards makeup, hair and costumes!” Brian shouted. The cast and crew gave their cries of thanks for the announcement and everyone started working at twice the speed they had been. Since Rami was playing Freddie, he was the first to get into costume and makeup since he also had to wear false teeth to get the overbite that Freddie has. After getting in costume and makeup, the four actors made their way to the fake stage of Wembley Stadium. There was the sound of five car doors shutting and the legends themselves walked out and stopped dead. They stared in aw at the stage that had been built by hand. 

“Holy shit,” Freddie muttered, running a hand over his face, wrinkled by age. A woman with [h/l] [h/c] hair was standing between John and Freddie. She chuckled at the legend’s reaction. 

“Does it look identical, Papa?” She asked. Freddie gave a breathless laugh of amazement. 

“I-it looks just like the stage from all those years ago.” He said softly. The woman smiled softly. She looked at her grandfather and their uncles. She could tell that they had all been transported to that day; July 13, 1985. She moved to stand in between her two uncles, gaining the attention of the older rock stars. She linked her arms with Brian and Roger’s. 

“Well, shall we go and meet the younger you’s?” She asked. Roger and Brian chuckled at the young woman’s energy. Roger affectionately patted their hand. 

“Yes. Let’s go and meet our younger selves. Shall we, lads?” Roger asked, looking at his friends. Freddie’s aw-struck expression then turned to one of mischief. 

“Yes. I look forward to giving those young lads a scare.” He said. The woman chuckled and shook her head. 

“Papa Freddie, behave.” She chided playfully. Freddie scoffed playfully. 

“Oh, always, darling.”

Butterflies filled Joe’s stomach as the four aging Queens ascended the stairs to the stage, ready to assess how accurate the actors and costumes were to themselves. Joe’s breath was caught in his throat when he saw a beautiful woman, her arms linked with Brian and Roger’s. He assumed that she was one of the rock stars’ grandchildren. The woman’s jaw fell open when she saw the four actors lined up. 

“Oh my gosh. You all look, identical to Papa, Uncle Roger, Uncle Bri and Grandad.” She said astounded. She made her way down the line, assessing the boys. She had some criticisms with Roger’s actor, seeing as he didn’t have the short hair he did during Live Aid, but she knew it wasn’t his fault. She stopped in front of Joe. “Especially you,” she said. Joe swallowed nervously. 

“Um, me, miss?” He asked. The woman smiled and nodded. 

“Yes you, silly. You look a lot like Grandad did when he was at Live Aid. The hair and everything,” she said. She then gasped and chuckled, her cheeks flushing. “Sorry, where are my manners,” she stood back and addressed the actors before them. “I’m [Y/N] [M/N] Deacon. Granddaughter of John Richard Deacon.” She introduced. Joe smiled. [Y/N] [M/N] Deacon. What a woman. 

//okay. So I know I said I would try and keep it Gender neutral, however it’s pretty difficult for me to do that. I’m so used to making the reader in series and imagines I write Female. I want to make this clear. This does not, under any circumstances mean that I have anything against the non-binary community. It is just a little bit harder for me to make the reader in imagines and series that I write gender neutral. I hope that you understand and continue to give this series love regardless. [Y/N] sighed as she listened to the automated message about unattended or lost items at the airport. The message had gone off maybe, five times since she had been there last. While it was annoying to listen to, the message did serve a good purpose. Keep your shit together or it will be stolen! [Y/N] was going to be flying from her home town of [H/T] all the way to London, England to spend ten months with her best friend, Lucy Boynton. Yes, you heard correctly. Lucy Boynton, as is Mary Austin in Bohemian Rhapsody, Lucy. [Y/N] never treated it as a big deal when she went to see her best friend. She never gloated that she was friends with a celebrity. She treated her friendship with anyone as just that. A normal friendship. [Y/N]’s phone dinged as she got a text message from the woman herself. She chuckled when she saw a picture of Lucy and her boyfriend, Rami.

Lu-Lu🥰: Hurry up! I’m tired of waiting! Oh, and Rami says hi.

[Y/N] smiled and texted back.

Me: My flight’s taking forever! Literally, it’s like, 9:30 am and we were supposed to be in the air at 9.

Lu-Lu🥰: Aw boo! ☹️Well, you can’t blame the airport staff. They’re trying as hard as they can.

Me: Yeah. I guess that’s true.

[Y/N] looked up when she saw one of the flight attendants walk up to the podium.

“Good morning, ladies and gentleman and thank you for choosing [H/T] Airlines. I would just like to remind you that any carryon items must be stowed in the overhead compartments about your seats in the plane. If you would like to have your bag checked, please let me know here at the podium when I call your row and number. Any luggage such as wheel-chairs and strollers will be folded and checked on the flight so you don’t have to worry about it. Please have your passports and ID’s ready for when I call your row and group. Thank you.” The flight attendant began calling the rows and numbers. [Y/N] quickly texted Lucy.

Me: We’re boarding now. I’ll text you when we land. Love you, Luc! 😘 I can’t wait to see you!

Part 2: Asking Out

It had been a few months since [Y/N] had met the actors for the movie Bohemian Rhapsody. Since they were taking college classes in photography, they took a lot of promotional photos for when Bohemian Rhapsody would be released along with the movie and when Brian Singer allowed [Y/N] to post the photos. Over that time, they had gotten very close to the actors, especially Joe. The two shared a lot of the same humor. They were currently on break from filming the scene where Freddie gets a call about the band and the EMI records. [Y/N] and Joe were sitting next to each other on the couch, looking through some silly photos they had taken with [Y/N] and the cast. [Y/N] chuckled softly when she found one she had taken with Joe. [Y/N] was pretending to kiss his cheek, while Joe had a shocked look on his face. 

[Y/N] could feel Joe’s eyes on them. They looked over and smiled slightly. 

“What?” They asked, her cheeks flushing lightly. Joe smiled softly. 

“Nothing. I just think you look very good.” He said. They had a running theme with each other where they would playfully flirt with each other. It was getting harder and harder for [Y/N] to take the comments he sent their way playfully because they realized, after the few months that they had hung out with the cast, [Y/N] had developed feelings for the child actor of Jurassic World. [Y/N] smiled and tilted their head slightly. 

“Well I think you look very good to, Joe,” they turned off their camera, putting the lens cover back on and hanging it around their neck. [Y/N] got up and sighed, stretching their arms, letting out a groan as their limbs popped. [Y/N] turned and looked at Joe, smiling. “I’m going to go get some snacks before you have to go back to filming. Want anything?” They asked. Joe smiled and shook his head. 

“Nah, I’m good. Thanks.” He said. [Y/N] nodded, walking away. Joe sighed as a lovestruck smile crossed his lips as he thought of the grandchild of John Deacon. What wasn’t there to like about them? They were kind, quirky and had the same sense of humor as Joe did. The couch dipped again and Joe looked to his right to see John sitting next to him. The older man let out a sigh as he got comfortable in his seat. 

“They like you to, you know.” John said. Joe frowned in confusion and looked at John. 

“I’m sorry, what?” 

John looked at his actor. 

“My grandchild. They like you as well. They’re just nervous to admit it. Just like you’re nervous to admit it to them.” John said. Joe was about to protest when John said something that stopped Joe in his tracks. “You have my blessing to take my grandchild on a date. However, I do ask that you don’t break their heart. They’ve already gone through heart break once. Please don’t make them go through it again.” John said, looking at Joe. Joe smiled and nodded. 

“You have my word, sir. I won’t break your grandchild’s heart.” Joe promised. John smiled and nodded. 

“Good lad.” He said. He groaned as he got up. The bell rang for the cast to get back into position for recording a scene again. Joe smiled at the thought of asking [Y/N] out.
