I drew this chubby anime babe to heal my inner child. <3 Fat people with soft and round features make for such kawaii magical girls. When I visited Japan I went to an entirely fat maid cafe where they taught me word 'pocchari' which roughly translates to chubby. Everyone there was so sweet and nice. I hope you love this cutie as much as I do! I designed her for a button up inspired by the anime tees I would covet growing up. You can find this clothing piece in up to size 6XL here. 🌸

2018 has been a big year for me!) I got my first full time teaching job when I was hired as Director of Fine Arts at South Piedmont Community College in North Carolina. Additionally I had a very important solo exhibition of my current work at @tappsartscenter, was awarded a Grant from @yorkcountyarts, and I was published by @the_jasper_project and Antioch Univeristy of Las Angeles' @lunchticket . I won best in show in a group show in New York (@polititsartcoalition ) as well as 2nd place in the Festival of Flowers show held in #greenwoodsc. I also showed New Begginings in #artfields2018 and was accepted into #artfields2019 ! I am so thankful for everyone who supported me this year, both financially and emotionally! I am thankful to my amazing and inspiring students, and I am thankful that I get to share my passion for art full time! I am thankful to my family who helped me with transportation to multiple shows as well as supported me emotionally through this crazy year! I am thankful to my amazing staff and workstudy student for making my life easier and funner. I am thankful to new friend and old friends for the support and encouragement they always provide. I am especially thankful to all the beautiful #fatpositive #bopowarriors who have inspired me! People on the fat acceptance movement say “They want me to be smaller” suggesting their identity and presence is intrinsically linked to the size of their physical body. 

We want you to live in a smaller body than you are currently in in the hope that you’ll live a longer, happier, healthier life - meaning your PRESENCE is in fact bigger. 

This is not hard to understand. You are not your fat, your fat is taking space from the person you could be.
