Itâs Blueberryâs turn to befriend a Lycanroc
Ironically there is a nearby Lycanroc mass outbreak itâs just itâs not a Midday Form Lycanroc outbreak or it wouldâve replace the question mark on the in-game map. Also I wouldâve found a few more Lycanroc slightly further south
#how ironic that Cherry gets to befriend the bipedal Lycanroc but Blueberry befriends one of the quadrupedal Lycanroc#walking wake#lycanroc#midday lycanroc#pokĂ©mon scarlet#two screenshots of the Booster energy being used up because I left the battle and reentered so the Quick Ball would work again#donât ask me why the second one is so blurry though

Gargoyle's Cry 35.0.3
Tenno: The following Operation is designed for players who have finished the âWhispers in the Wallsâ quest. Review at your discretion!********
OPERATION: Gargoyleâs Cry
âYour attention, please.
The Murmur threat demands immediate action. Our first order of business must be surveillance. An early detection system lest we be caught sans trousers.
You would agree that a Vigile Jahu Gargoyle installed within each Tenno Dojo is the obvious solution. Not a whisper could be uttered in the system without the connected Dojos overhearing it first.
Your compliance is appreciated. The Vigile Jahu Gargoyle awaits you within your Dojo - simply place it as a Decoration. The enemy does not hesitate. We must do no less.â - Fibonacci
The Murmur encroaches on our systems, Tenno. The Whispers beyond the Wall are a new threat; we must ensure they stay confined to Albrechtâs Laboratory.
Operation: Gargoyleâs Cry is a limited-time event launching today,December 18 at 2 p.m. ET and ending on January 15, 2 p.m. ET across all platforms.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
The Murmur continues to scrape deeper into our realm of existence. Having devised a solution to detect such whispers, Fibonacci wonât allow such trespassing to threaten our system.
This Operation relies on Tenno across the Origin System to construct an invisible âliving defenseâ against the growing Murmur threat.
To join this living defense, or âMurmur Telemetry Chorus,â you must hunt down the power source thatâll continuously power your Vigile Jahu Gargoyle. Fight against the ominous Murmur to earn new and returning rewards from previous Operations.
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO
Operation: Gargoyleâs Cry is no small task. Only those who have finished the âWhispers in the Wallâ Quest can join and complete the event and the associated Mission. This event is for players on-content.
After finishing the âWhispers in the Wallâ Quest, Tenno will find a Vigile Jahu Gargoyle decoration to place within their Dojo. This will require a member of your Clan to be capable of placing down decorations, which players will then build via resources gathered from Albrechtâs Laboratories. Once all the resources are contributed, the Gargoyle only takes 60 seconds to build.
Tenno must then complete the Effervo Mission on Deimos to collect Cursed Murmur Energy to activate the Gargoyle. Youâll acquire this energy by defeating one of the Fragmented Trio, with the whole squad earning one of three curses:
Curse of Knowing from The Fragmented Suzerain,
Curse of Seeing from The Fragmented Anchorite,
Curse of Hearing from The Fragmented Zelator.
Youâll acquire only a singular amount of one type of Curse on Normal Path but double of one Curse on Steel Path. Curse acquisition is unaffected by Resource Boosters.
The Murmur is not the only threat, however. Void Angels have breached the in-between of the Laboratories and The Indifference, desiring to consume the Cursed energy. If you do not kill the Angel lurking around, it will consume the Curse dropped by the Assassination Target, leaving you Curseless.
Return to your Dojo afterwards to lift your curse by feeding it to the Gargoyle. Spend time with your new decoration, as the Gargoyle is also a vendor, allowing you to purchase new and returning Operation items while netting progress towards the community reward.
Seek and destroy, Tenno. Uphold the living defense.
(VIDEO DEMONSTRATION OF EVENT)
OPERATION REWARDS
When you defeat one of the Fragmented Trio, youâll acquire the event currency: Grotesque Splinters. 1-3 Grotesque Splinters are earned on normal difficulty and 3-5 on Steel Path.
Fibonacci beckons your safe return to your Vigile Jahu Gargoyle to spend your yield of Grotesque Splinters. Youâll acquire rewards like new Entrati Sigils, a Color Palette and returning rewards from events like Operation: Scarlet Spear.
New Cosmetics
Fibonacci Sigil
Fibonacci Sketch Glyph
Tagfer Sigil
Tagfer Sketch Glyph
Bird 3 Sigil
Bird 3 Sketch Glyph
Gargoyleâs Cry Emblem
New Color Palette: Cavia
Krios Signa
Returning Cosmetics
Gilded Clan Sigil
Glyphed Clan Sigil
Phased Clan Sigil
Prominence Wisp Totem
Fluctus Rahk Skin
The Ballroom Simulacrum
Weapons and Power
Ceti Lacera Blueprint
Basmu Blueprint
Stance Forma Blueprint
Trials/Eidolon Arcanes
Not all rewards are warranted by Fibonacciâs hand (or fin...). This is a communal effort, Tenno. Each feed to the Gargoyle strengthens the community, resulting in the new Krios Signa debuting from the Void into your Arsenal. If the goal is met, the Signa can be purchased from the Vigile Jahu Gargoyle Vendor!
The Vendor store will be open until February 15, 2024.
SCORING AND FEEDING
Trophies earned are determined by how often your clan fully feeds your Vigile Jahu Gargoyle with Cursed Murmur Energy before each Weekly Reset (Monday at 0 UTC).
Terracotta is one full feed, Bronze is two full feeds, Silver is three full feeds, and Gold is four full feeds. One full charge depends on the size of your Clan. A full charge for a Ghost Clan is two of each Curse, with Shadow Clans needing six of each Curse, Storm will need ten, Mountain thirty and Moon at one hundred of each Curse.
TL;DR:
Once the Vigile Jahu Gargoyle is constructed in the Dojo, Clans will fully feed it with Cursed Murmur Energy from the Effervo Mission to enable the living defense.
Feed your Gargoyle before the weekly reset for four weeks to keep the Gargoyle fully fed and earn a trophy, depending on the number of charges added.
Each full feed adds to unlocking the community reward.
All Operation Rewards can be purchased from the Vigile Jahu Gargoyle for Grotesque Splinters.
THE MURMUR THREAT
On the rare occasions when Murmur fragments assemble themselves into a whole, the result is a monstrous and potent entity. It may manifest in three different forms: The Fragmented Suzerain, The Fragmented Zelator and The Fragmented Anchorite
Together, as heralds of the Indifference, they tether down the Strands of Khra which their bizarre master must travel.

So I just beat the Indigo Disk DLC for Scarlet & Violet (fucking FINALLY)
And now I have four new Pokemon to add to my list of favorites. Not because of any particular nostalgic ties to them or anything, but these guys put in WORK on my team for Drayton, Kieran, and Terapagos!
Lucario is probably the strongest offensive force on my team right now. He's Life Orb with Tera Ice and Ice Punch. This guy absolutely DOMINATED Drayton and Kieran's teams alongside my next entrant...
Dragonite! This pudgy lil fella is probably one of my favorite psuedo-legendaries right now, mainly because where most of the other pseudos are menacing and intimidating (which is cool don't get me wrong) this guy's just a chunky boi. But man did he SWEEP. My Dragonite (aptly nicknamed Pudge) was almost always the last-ditch sweeper I threw out, Terastallized into a Normal-type, and used Choice Band/Extreme Speed 'til the Miltank came home!
I play Violet, so sadly I don't get any of the cool past Paradox mons like Roaring Moon or Great Tusk. But I do get Iron Valiant, who used Booster Energy/Quark Drive/Drain Punch to absolutely ANNIHILATE Terapagos's first phase. As well as part of the Mochi Mayhem epilogue.
Krookodile is probably my favorite Dark-type now. I ran him with Choice Scarf and Knock Off, which saved me from having to deal with the Assault Vests on Drayton's Archaludon and Kieran's Hydrapple. I also had Earthquake, which in general is just a phenomenal move. This guy's one of my main offensive forces.

The next Pokemon TCG set, Scarlet & Violet - Stellar Crown, has just been announced!
Release Date and Set Details
New Pokémon ex and introducing Stellar Tera Pokémon
As with every new set, we can expect to see so many new Pokemon ex! We're already guaranteed to have Cinderace ex, Lapras ex, Galvantula ex and Terapagos ex as they're featured on the pack artwork (and Terapagos ex was revealed as part of Stellar Miracle).
The interesting thing about this set is we are being introduced to Stellar Tera Pokemon, which feature powerful attacks that cost different types of energy - three to be precise. Each attack is inspired by various gemstones, such as Terapagos ex's "Crown Opal" or "Larimar Rain" from Laprax ex.
Beautiful Illustrations
Scarlet & Violet - Stellar Crown also, as usual, features some of the most beautiful artwork within the TCG. With special illustration rare cards, your collection will look better than ever. Take the Elite Trainer Box promo card, for example. This Noctowl is not only a highly playable card (allowing you to search your deck for up to 2 Trainer cards, dependent on your cards in play), but it's also truly stunning! Not to mention, the Stellar Tera cards look like gemstones in themselves, we're really expecting Pokemon to have pulled out all the stops with the 7th set for Scarlet & Violet.
Trainer Cards and More
We're expecting to see so many new Trainer Cards, and ACE SPEC! As before, we've already gotten a glimpse of some upcoming cards we will hopefully receive in this set, such as Briar (You can play this card only if your opponent has exactly 2 Prize cards remaining. Until the end of this turn, if your opponent's Active Pokemon is Knocked Out by damage from 1 of your Tera Pokemon attacks, take 1 more prize card.) or the highly playable Sparkling Crystal (The attack cost of the Tera Pokemon this card is attached to is reduced by 1 of any type of Energy.)ïżœïżœArguably, one of the stand-out cards from this set could be Area Zero Underdepths, which increases your benched Pokemon to 8 from 5 if they have a Tera Pokemon in play!
Elite Trainer Box
A staple of almost every Pokemon set is the Elite Trainer Box. This is always the best and most efficient way for players both new and seasoned to get their hands on the latest set. An ETB comes with 9 packs of the titular set, 1 full-art foil promo card, 65 card sleeves featuring the artwork from the ETB and so much more! We expect this product to be highly popular due to the Noctowl promo card, so be sure to get your pre-orders in as soon as possible! The Stellar Crown Elite Trainer Box includes:
9 PokĂ©mon TCG: Scarlet & VioletâStellar Crown booster packs

Area Zero: Notable Pokemon and Operations
Area Zero is structured like a giant spiral around a great chasm in the center which leads directly to the bottom. The safest path is around this spiral. There is also difficult terrain in the form of sharp inclines of loose mud, rock and dirt from landslides, which cannot be scaled again by a human alone, a pokemons help will be needed.
Zero lab, where we are headed, is held shut by four locks that are remotely accessed from the four research stations along this spiral path. We will need to stop at each of these and access the computers within to proceed, the RFID chip in my logo glove only gives me access to these research stations and their limited systems. They also serve as safehouses, with beds and a basic stock of medical equipment, more then the first-aid kits I gave to you, we can restock here if necessary.
---------------------------------------
Dangerous pokemon feed off the radiation from the crystals down here. We'll be in the heart of the paradox pokemons home, so expect to be seen as prey and jumped at any moment.
Species we've seen down here include:
Farigiraf line
Coviknight
Braviary
Volcarona
Pawmot line
Medicham line
Raichu
Espeon
Garganacl line
Donphan line
Lycanroc
Copperahja line
Hawlucha
Honchkrow line
Gogoat
Talonflame
Lokix
Floatzle line
Golduck line
Altaria line
Masquerain
Bisharp
Vaporeon
Bellibolt line
Weavile line
Sableye
Zweilous and Deino
Dudunsparce line
Espathra
Garchomp line
Dugtrio
Glimmora line
Umbreon
Chansey
On top of these, seven species of paradox pokémon have been identified appearing in relatively great numbers. They all share a similar trait or ability of being supercharged in intense sunlight- manifested as scarlet energy crackling over their bodies like electricity- that enhances one of their highest attributes.
We call this ability "Protosynthesis."
Species listed here by code name first, like species second.
Scream Tail (Jigglypuff): Psychic/Fairy type. Very Defensive and fast, but lacking in raw power. Usually attacks with Psychic Fangs and Play Rough.
Great Tusk (Donphan): Ground/Fighting type. Extremely aggressive, Strong attack and physical defense, prone to Headlong Rush and Close combat.
Brute Bonnet (Amoongus): Grass/Dark type. Extremely physically powerful, high defenses and HP, but lacking in speed. Seed Bomb and Sucker Punch are its most common moves.
Flutter Mane (Misdreavus): Ghost/Fairy type. Extremely fast special attacker with matching special defenses, but strongly lacking in physical defenses and HP. Usually attacks with Mystical Fire and Moonblast.
Slither Wing (Volcarona): Bug/Fighting type. Extremely high physical attack, specially defensive, and fast, but lacking in other areas. Lunge, Leech Life and Superpower are its preferred moves.
Sandy Shocks (Magneton): Electric/Ground type. Very fast special attacker, physically sturdy, Discharge and Earth Power are its preferred moves.
Roaring Moon (Salamence): Dragon/Dark type. Highly aggressive and will always strike to kill. Do not engage. Highly recommended to flee unless fighting is the only option. Very physically strong, specially defensive and fast, capable of flight. Roaring moon have been documented finding canisters of booster energy, which activates Protosynthesis without the presence of intense sunlight, and given this Pokemons preference for living in caves, makes it highly formidable. Dragon Rush and Throat chop are its preferred moves.
Apex Koraidon (Cyclizar): Dragon/Fighting type. The first paradox pokemon ever pulled through the time machine- and the one who killed Sada. Conjures its own sunlight when entering battle, Extremely strong, fast and physically defensive. Legendary pokemon level threat. Only one currently exists in the depths. Will hunt and kill humans on sight. Avoid at all costs.
--------------------------------
ZERO LAB.
Zero lab is a gargantuan research facility at the bottom of Area zero, almost completely encased in tera crystals outside of the main entrance door. According to the most recent expedition notes, the facility is built mainly into the ground below, several stories connected by a single elevator, at the very bottom of which houses the time machine. The computers on the higher levels will likely house what we need. Sada's AI body is gone, thus rendering the Time machine inoperable... At least according to our research, that's the case.

WEEK ZERO
Adding still not really knowing how Iâm going to write these as things that Iâm looking to improve on. Shoutout to BauerdadVGC for the PASRS. Being able to do a data driven analysis of my team and my match ups even at a rudimentary level this past week was big. Iâm calling this past week as Week Zero because I just vaguely said âI need to play more PokĂ©monâ and set out to play as many matches as I could. I didnât really have a gameplan or schedule in mind. I just needed to play and while Iâm happy with how it went, Iâm excited for how this week will look with a little more structure.
RESULTS
The team went 25-13 on ladder which included a 2nd place finish in an Regulation C VGC Tour. I couldâve had a better result but I went on a rough little slide at the end after letting tilt sit in. I hopped up to 1321 rating which was about 200 points better than where I started. I nearly hit 1400 before tumbling on Thursday. This puts me at 29-17 overall in Regulation C on PokĂ©mon Showdown. Letâs just pretend this a baseball season and last week is May okay. PLAYER OF THE WEEK:  Brute Bonnet was a new add to the team and I donât care what anyone says, it was a hoss for me. I went 15-7 (.682) when bringing it, 8-4 (.667) when it lead and 3-2 (.600) when it was my Tera. People need to stop looking at Brute Bonnet as an offensive Amoonguss; it is a completely different PokĂ©mon and when allowed to play like its own mon it put in work. WHO LET HIM COOK?: Arcanine had the worst win rate on the week overall (10-9 .526) and as a lead (4-4, .500). The colloary is I was 15-4 with Arcanine benched. Thatâs almost an 80% rate and that doesnât make sense for a PokĂ©mon thatâs as good of a support PokĂ©mon as Arcanine is.
THREE REVIEWS
1. PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE
So on the one hand I didnât play as many games as I wouldâve liked last week but 38 games is way more than Iâve done in a week ever. I checked my recorded history on PokĂ©mon Showdown and I apparently only signed in for 76 matches for the entirety of SwSh. I recognize that getting more games in and sticking to a schedule is going to be strengthening a muscle and so long as I keep doing better than the previous week Iâll count that as a win
2. NEED MORE DAMAGE The addition of Brute Bonnet gave me more damage to start out with but I was amazed with how switching Flutter Maneâs hold item to Booster Energy from Life Orb and going to Modest 116 up from Modest 36 and moving to max attack Baxcalibur helped turn some 2HKOs to OHKOs
3. IS BAX HIM? Yes. The add of Brute Bonnet gave more opportunities to bait fire attacks for Bax to eat for the Thermal Exchange boost and make the opponent uncomfortable. I went 18-9 when bringing Baxcalibur, the 2nd highest win rate behind Brute Bonnet. On the other hand, Baxcalibur was my most commonly Teraâd PokĂ©mon (12) but had the worst win rate of my Teras at 7-5 (.583).
THREE THINGS
1. TRUST THE PROCESS The main competition right now is against myself in getting more matches in which will lead to more data which will lead to better play and so the main focus of this week is to stick to the schedule and not let KQ or going out deter me too much.
2. TRIPLE DOUBLE VS BAXBALANCE Sometimes an idea seizes you and if you donât acknowledge it, you will never know peace. With that in mind, this week Iâm going to test out a strategy that I did in SwSh where I have three paired PokĂ©mon and rather than trying to think of 15 flow charts for the different team combinations I really only need to think of 3 (six if you want to get technical depending on which pair goes first). The idea is fun and exciting but itâs also a little more tricky than I normally play. At worst, Iâll have invented another way not to invent a light bulb. Also this will inform what Iâm going to run for June ladder so thereâs that. 3. A STUDY IN SCARLET PokĂ©mon HOME is eventually going to be released and for that purpose Iâve gone ahead and purchased Scarlet Version and I need to get to getting on completing the story and getting access to Area Zero so I can easily move the Past Paradox PokĂ©mon to my main account of Violet (and in their proper Luxury Balls to boot)
WHATâS NEXT? Building the Triple Double team and getting to work testing it out on ladder tomorrow. Then on my off day on Friday Iâll need to decide if Iâm going to use the Triple Double or Baxbalance on the official ladder Saturday and Sunday.
Weigh Anchor!

Damien's 20 Favorite Pokémon (Finalé)
Here it is.
My Number 1 Favorite Pokémon.
Ever since I've started this list on November 3rd 2024, I have gone over choices that either no-brainers or out-of-pocket choices. And while it was tempting to subvert expectations, in the end...
Its got to be a no-brainer!
1. IRON! FREAKING! VALIANT!
I mean, you all saw this coming by a mile. If the Profile Picture, Blog Banner, and my former Internet Name didn't clue you in (Damien The Valiant Crusader): I FREAKING LOVE IRON VALIANT!!! It is the sole reason why I asked my dad to buy me Pokémon Violet instead of Scarlet, and had not regreted that decision since!
But overtime, I begin to ponder on why I picked this mechanized Gen 3/4 Pokémon as not only my Favorite Pokémon, but as the poster-bot of my Internet persona. But before we get to that answer, I'm gonna gush about everything I love about Iron Valiant!
Much like how Roaring Moon takes its design from Mega Salamance, Iron Valiant is inspired by not one, but TWO Mega Evolutions (though they're from the same line). The floating pieces around its waist borrow from Mega Gardevoir, as are the extended parts around the eyes. The overall frame as well as the arm blades borrow from Mega Gallade. Said arm blades morphed into a double-bladed glaive (though Bulbapedia insists that it's a halberd) during battle, and there's no arguing on how cool that actually looks.
And then there's its lore: according to an occult magazine, Iron Valiant was the result of a mad scientist's effort to create the most powerful Psychic Pokémon (Mewtwo entered the chat). That is pretty ironic considering I.V. is weak to Psychic, but nevertheless the result is a powerful machine without a heart, thus becoming as cold and vicious as humanly possible, nothing like the emotion-based Pokémon it was based on. This piece of lore is one of my favorites for the sheer amount of irony: a project to create the strongest Psychic Type Pokémon by using as a base template a Pokémon known for empathy and detecting one's emotions and a Pokémon who is honorable in battle, only to end up with a being so ruthless and empty, it will do anything to win no matter the cost to its master, the opponent, or even itself.
And best be sure this mentality is exercises quite well in battle!
You see this? THIS is what a glass cannon attacker looks like! A great Speed stat for its Tier, amazing digits on both ends of the offensive spectrum, and all of that tied together neatly with one of the most unique type combinations I have ever seen.
Iron Valiant is the only Pokémon to date that has the Fairy/Fighting type combination. It is able to hit an astounding 7 Types for super effective damage, 3 of them are common OU staples. However, this type combination is balanced by having 5 weaknesses, including one to Steel and Fairy. Not that it's an issue for Iron Valiant, but I'll cover that later.
Finally, Iron Valiant shares the same Ability as the other Future Paradox Forms, that being Quark Drive. It basically has the same effect as Protosynthesis, but only when Electric Terrain is up. This is much harder to achieve due to the lack of powerful E.T. setters, forcing Iron Valiant and other Future Paradox Pokémon to hold the Booster Energy. However, once I.V. got those boosts, don't be surprised if the opponent keeps getting out-sped or Iron Valiant dishes out OHKOs it has no business to.
Speaking of, Iron Valiant has NO business having a movepool this BIG! You got powerful STAB options in Moonblast and Aura Sphere for a Special set and Spirit Break (sorry, no Play Rough) and Close Combat for a Physical set. There's also amazing coverage moves such as Shadow Ball, Shadow Sneak, Knock Off, Psychic, Psyshock, Thunderbolt, the Elemental Punches, and Poison Jab just to name a few.
And that's only the DAMAGING moves! I could not count the amount of viable status moves Iron Valiant has on all 10 fingers: Swords Dance, Calm Mind, Taunt, Destiny Bond, Disable, Encore, Dual Screens, Substitute, Thunder Wave, Trick, Wide Guard, Coaching, Trick Room; I.V. even used Hypnosis at one point until the Sleep Ban!
It is UNBELIEVABLE how Iron Valiant can learn so many useful moves, leading to so many movesets be it Physical, Special, Mixed, and even Hex-Hypnosis! It's no wonder this Pokémon stayed in the OU Tier even to this very day!
Okay.
Now that I've gushed about Iron Valiant, it's time I answer the question I've brought up at the start of this post: why is the Future Paradox form of Gallade and Gardevoir my favorite Pokémon?
And the answer is...
...not as straightforward as you may think.
Okay, hear me out:
When it comes to picking their favorite Pokémon, some people have their own ways of doing so.
Some Pokémon are loved the instant they are announced, while some don't sit well with people the first time but gradually gain popularity overtime.
Some people pick their favorites based on design; some pick based on lore and backstory; and some for their excellent performance in the competitive scene.
The point I'm trying to make is that everyone in the Pokémon community has their own personal favorite Pokémon and their reasons why, and I love it! I'm always curious about everyone's favorite Pokémon and what qualities they found in it that I can't.
As for me, my personal favorite Pokémon is one that I resonate the most; one with a cool and creative design; one with rich lore and interesting origins; one that can sweep an entire team; and one that embodies the best parts of being a Pokémon.
That's why Iron Valiant is my favorite Pokémon ever, and I will be surprised that anything before and after it will surpass it.
So if you ever want to know what your favorite Pokémon is, just remember: it's your choice and no one will stop you!

Are, Yet Are Not
A celebration was occurring in Dornogal. At the eleventh hour a group of adventurers led by Alleria Windrunner had discovered Xalâatathâs true goal and, at the Priory of the Sacred Flame, they had thwarted her plans. Aided by the adventurers Alleria, Anduin, and Faerin had forced their way through to the main section of the sanctum to find the Harbinger using the Dark Heart to absorb the power of the corrupted aspect of Beledar into itself.
This time, Xalâatath had underestimated Alleria, the void elfâs arrow aimed not for her⊠but for the relic instead! A well-aimed shot had damaged the Dark Heart, unleashing the energies trapped within and forcing Xalâatath into retreat!
Whats more, they had been reunited with an unexpected friend⊠one they had believed dead. When the Dark Heart was damaged a small raven made of pure arcane energies burst forth just as Xalâatath fled, landing in a heap on the floor of the priory and transforming into none other than Khadgar!
The Guardian of Tirisfal was alive, but near death. Without intervention he would have fallen in truth, but at this moment Anduin overcame his fear and reached out to the Light once more⊠and the Light responded. Flowing through the wandering King, it passed to Khadgar and healed his body, saving the mageâs life.
However, Anduin could only keep death away and Khadgar was still badly hurt. After being escorted to Dornogal for more help than Anduin could offer in the field he had explained what had happened.
When he faced down Xalâatath in Dalaran she had unleashed a spell that drew all the magical energy into the city into the Dark Heart, creating the massive black hole that had destroyed the floating island and all upon it. Khadgar had recognized this and in a desperate gamble he had used his power to transform his own body into arcane energy and let the Dark Heart absorb him as well! To do otherwise was certain death.
He was alive, but trapped inside the Dark Heart, a bodiless entity, until Alleriaâs arrow had created a gap for him to escape through.
Khadgar had explained all back at the Foundation Hall in Dornogal, seated in a wheeled chair as his legs had quite a bit of trouble supporting him following his ordeal, to Jaina, Alleria, Anduin, Thrall and all others who asked.
The majority of adventurers however didnât care. Xalâatath had been defeated, the nerubians had broken and retreated the second she had fled and released her mental domination of the ascended, and Hallowfall had been saved. Now was the time to celebrate a hard-fought victory.
Though, not all were celebrating. Some were having to prepare for other threatsâŠ
The Glittering Prize
Seated in the galley were Nelen Fullmoon, Shalandrae Deeproots, Samantha Montebank, Grimo Blamstick, and Molaâraum⊠along with someone new. Using a few of Nelenâs spare tomes as a booster seat was a gnomish woman with deep scarlet hair and glowing blue eyes⊠the reaper Nankoz Scarletspark.
âSo yes, Iâm going to be tagging along with you all for a while.â nodded the undead gnome. âI have a duty to the Ebon Blade to hunt down Garnal, and since heâs proooooooobably going to come after you again that means Iâll be waiting to attack him when he does.â she grinned, her sharpened canines shining in the light.
She was a small thing, not even four feet tall, and dressed in the finery of a noble. A white linen shirt with a scarlet cravat tucked into a blood red vest, along with black trousers, boots and gloves. She looked every image the romantic notion of a vampire that some people fantasized about, especially those who had never fought a sanâlayn or a Nathrazeim and knew exactly how horrible the blood and soul drinking horrors could be.
Nelen nodded to her, the magus scratching her chin, âYes well⊠look, this has been bothering me since the battle but⊠you said your name was Nankoz Scarletspark⊠yes?â he asked.
She nodded to him, âThatâs right.â she replied, a wry smile forming on her face. She had a hunch she knew where this was going.
Nelen coughed awkwardly, âIts just⊠Iâve heard that name before. Iâm a scribe as well as a mage and in some literary circles⊠wellâŠâ he trailed off.
As he did however Samantha raised an eyebrow, âWait a damn minute⊠Nelen, youâre not thinking of⊠umâŠâ she looked between him and Nankoz, â⊠that one writer all the, um, the spookies are into⊠right?â she asked.
Grimo lowered his mug and glanced at Samantha, âWhat thâ fuck are thâ spookies?â he asked.
Samanthaâs cheeks darkened as she waved a hand dismissively, âOh just⊠in Stormwind thereâs some younger humans who think that itâs a very⊠romantic thing to be touched by darkness, death, or the void and so⊠theyâll⊠well theyâll tend to dress in all black or dark purple velvet, stay up late at night a lot, wear black makeup, and try to get friendly with void elves and death knightsâŠâ she explained, âMost of them just weird us out really.â
Nankoz giggled at that, âMmhm, my loyal fanbaseâŠâ she replied. âGood to know that Stormwind hasnât forgotten me.â
Nelen stared at her, âSo⊠you are that Nankoz, the one who wrote⊠umâŠâ he hesitated, he wasnât sure he wanted to admit he knew of such things infront of Shalandrae (who wouldnât judge him but it would still be embarrassing,) Molaâraum (who wouldnât judge him personally but find it hilarious,) and Grimo (who would judge the hell out of him.)
Nankoz grinned again, showing her fangs once more. âLet me help. I was the author of The Scarlet Harem of the Blood Queen, and Darkness of Stranglethorn: Secret Rites of Hakkar, and From Beyond the Grave: A Necromancerâs Romance.â she offered.
Shalandrae had been mid-gulp of her moonberry wine, at the third title that wine sprayed out of her mouth across the table. The druid coughed frantically, wiping her mouth with the back of her hand, then she stared at the gnome. âSorry, WHAT?!â she asked, her wild bushy eyebrows so high they threatened to vanish under her hairline.
Nelen took off his glasses and wiped them on a cloth, he did that sometimes when things got uncomfortable. âYes, um⊠itâs a certain genre of fiction stories that are popular with a certain subsect of Stormwindâs citizenry. Darker romance novels that are⊠well⊠romantic fantasies, but with a hint of danger and the thrill of taboo. For some those are very tempting stories.â he explained.
Samantha cocked her head at Nankoz, âYeah, but she never released a new story after the Blood War⊠I guess this might be why?â she asked, gesturing to the gnomeâs glowing blue eyes.
Nankoz shrugged, âMore or less⊠I had heard of the Blood Trolls in Nazmir and I thought that I could tag along on one of the military missions there to do some research and get inspiration for a new book. It⊠didnât go great.â she admitted.
Molaâraum nodded, âRemembah how Bolivar be havinâ us make a buncha new Death Knights before Sylvannas busted da crown? Nankoz be one oâ dem. Groupa me brudders found âer in a blood troll corpse pile ân brought âer back ta Icecrown fer de death ritual.â he replied, â⊠ân it turns out if ya spend ya mortal life writinâ stories âbout vampires⊠ân den ya suddenly BE a vampire⊠weeeeeeeellâŠâ
Nankoz laughed at that, âIndeed! I took to it like a bat to the night sky! Channeling the power of blood was all but reflexive for me, and I distinguished myself so well that Mograine himself recommended me for the title of Reaper!â
Shalandrae stared at the gnome, her mug all but forgotten. She had managed to get her head around the idea that Molaâraum and Edwood had undeath forced upon them and were just making do as best as they could⊠but she had only been vaguely aware of the existence of âthe spookies,â and this was the first sheâd heard about Nankozâs literary pursuits, and the idea that someone could want to become such a thingâŠ
âI need a drink.â she said abruptly, standing up.
âI think that was the last of the moonberry wine we had.â pointed out Nelen, looking at the stain on the tableâs surface.
âI need a bigger drink.â she clarified, heading for the door.
âAre you going to Dornogal?â he asked.
âBigger!â she replied.
âWhat?â he asked again as she ducked out the door, then there was a loud splash from outside.
Samantha looked out the porthole to see a sea lion swimming along the surface of the water before disappearing under the waves.
â⊠canât get much bigger than the ocean.â she shrugged, taking her seat again.
Nelen cleared his throat, âSo⊠youâll just be staying until Garnal is dealt with? I donât know if we have the spare space in the ship. I mean, weâre already playing host to four extrasâŠâ he pointed out.
âOh donât worry about that. Death Kight remember? You donât need a bunk if you donât have to sleep.â teased the undead gnome.
Speaking of said extras however⊠the group that they had begun thinking of as âThe Timelostâ were off doing their own things.
Dareley was getting to know the daughter he quite literally never had in Dornogal, answering any questions she might have about the current state of Azeroth in this timeline. Yvain was still shocked and horrified by what became of Arthas in this time, but that was the reality of things here and she needed to be ready for any other surprises.
Loren was out hunting with Aziguni and Galdia, the worgenâs senses allowing her to pull double duty in tracking prey with Nightpelt. She was reveling at being on a world that wasnât ruined (or at least not ruined yet, things were a bit strained right now to say the least) and was making every opportunity to enjoy being in the wilderness that simply didnât exist anymore when she was from.
Zulâzanza⊠well⊠he was doing his own thing.
But right now, on the sandy beach outside of the ship, Jaie and Xhu Pai were sparring.
They used sticks rather than spears, blunted at the ends to avoid injury, as the two went at each other. Jaie was holding back as much as she could, but reflexes were reflexes and it was surprisingly hard to do so when fighting a novice. She wondered how her masters back on the Wandering Isle managed it.
Xhu Pai let out a snarl and dove at her, aiming the stick at her midsection, and in a blur Jaie stepped to the side and reached for the spear to snatch it out of her hands without even thinking. Xhu saw this however and pulled it away, then swung it less like a spear and more like a bat as she aimed for Jaieâs legs!
The pandaren woman smirked, then let the stick hit them and quickly kicked out, sending it away and spinning Xhu as she tried desperately to hang onto it, then smacked out at the back of her legs with her own training spear. Xhu flailed as she lost her balance and swung wildly with her own weapon, and this time Jaie didnât see it coming.
She had trained to avoid blows meant to do damage, but a wild flail was wild and her instincts didnât know how to respond to that. The spear smacked her on the side of the head and she let out a cough as she stumbled, then fell just as Xhu did, the two pandaren landing in a tangle of limbs on the beach.
Xhu coughed and rolled over, â⊠guht sund in muh moufâŠâ she said in disgust, coughing out a cloud of particles onto the beach as Jaie pushed herself up. Jaie looked down at her, the womanâs hair askew as she shook out the dizziness. Xhu looked up at her, then reached up and pulled something out of her hair.
Their fall had disturbed enough of the sand to unearth the home of a hermit crab, who Xhu was holding by the shell. The crab was flailing itâs legs and pincers in panic, trying to find purchase on thin air. â⊠new hair ornament?â she suggested.
Jaie snorted, then laughed as Xhu bust out giggling as well, putting the crab down on the dunes as it quickly scurried away to safety. Jaie had been wound up since her encounter with Xiaren in Hallowfall, and this had snapped the tension. She couldnât help laughing at just how silly that had been.
Xhu giggled herself, and looked up at Jaie, and for a moment⊠just a moment⊠in all the excitement, she forgot something important.
She sat up on her elbows and pressed her lips to Jaieâs, closing her eyes.
Jaieâs eyes however went wide as she let out a surprised âMMPGH?!â and tried to pull back.
Xhu blinked her eyes, then her face went visibly red through the white parts of her fur and she shoved her away. âOH CELESTIALS!â she swore, scooting away on the dunes, âIâm sorry! Iâm sorry! It was just⊠that⊠your laugh⊠everything⊠I forgot for a momentâŠâ she stammered.
Jaie coughed, Xhu had still had a bit of sand in her mouth⊠âI mean⊠um⊠it was a nice kiss?â she tried awkwardly, her own cheeks red.
Xhu however looked horrified. âBUT YOUâRE NOT HER!â she shouted, digging her fingers into her hair as her training spear thumped down onto the sands.
Jaie winced, knowing exactly what Xhu was referring to. She both was Jaie Swiftpaw, and yet wasnât the Jaie that Xhu Pai knew and loved. The same woman but having grown up under extremely different circumstances. In some respects they were totally different from each other, in others⊠so similar that Xhu had a hard time remembering that she wasnât Jaie.
Jaie tried reaching a hand out to her, âXhu, its alrightâŠâ she began, but the other pandaren cut her off.
âNO ITS NOT!â she cried, âIts not! Youâre not her but you are and⊠auuuugh!â she shook her head, âI canât⊠I just canât take this anymore!â she insisted, scrambling to her feet and running back onto the ship as Jaie watched her go. She really didnât know what she could say to that.
It was such a mad situation, being trapped in an alternate timeline. Everything you knew was wrong, and it wasnât anyoneâs fault⊠but that didnât fix anything either. She sighed, then gathered up the training spears and muttered, âNyloc, any time you want to come back so we can beat that relic out of you and send her homeâŠâ
But Nyloc was conspicuously absent, likely he could tell that the Glittering Prize was full of those who would deem him an enemy. After his last disastrous attempt he wouldnât likely risk it again with so many of them in the same place⊠but did that mean theyâd have to bait him out somehow⊠or would they have to find a way to go after him?
Would they need to somehow, in all the timelines of Azeroth, track down a rogue chronomancer on his home turf if they wanted to undo the damage caused by his misuse of the Perfect Chance?

Iâve been very productive in Scarlet today - Char now knows Aura Sphere instead of Flamethrower (after accidentally matching Char the Ceruledge in Violet up with the event Ceruledge from February, I decided at some point I should do the same for Char the Armarouge in Scarlet. Last week I swapped her Flame Charge out for Flash Cannon (and also swapped Lunaâs Scale Shot out for Night Slash))
Iâve started working on the Scarlet versions of the Cadets (the line of Armarouge from left to right: Char (not a Cadet), Cascade (not a Cadet), one with a Water Tera type which I will change because Cascade has the Water Tera type too, one with a Ground Tera type, Cannon (Steel Tera type, also the one whose height is being checked) and Spectre (currently has the Normal Tera type, I want to change it to Ghost))
Got the last Master-level sandwich recipes
*Insert Robert Grove from The Goes Wrong Show saying âwhereâs the table?â* I decided to either check out the new Master-level sandwiches or shiny-hunt Roaring Moon again because I have nothing better to do than fail another impossible shiny hunt and this morning I made a joke that because I accidentally named my shiny Iron Valiant (Rose) after my Scarlet player character (Rose) I should name my eventual shiny Roaring Moon after my player character in Violet (Lavender) even though the colours donât match at all. Oh yeah also it took three attempts to get the table to show up (I had to move for the third picnic because that beach next to Levincia didnât like the idea of the table turning up)
Worst sandwich ever (presentation-wise. Rose and his PokĂ©mon donât seem to mind the taste). Also those were my last two avocados so Iâm gonna have to buy some more if I wanna continue attempting to shiny hunt Roaring Moon (and please I need to get rid of that Master Ball before I accidentally use it on something else)
So uhh⊠you may have noticed a this post is tagged with shiny PokĂ©mon and b I happen to have a Roaring Moon called Lavender in my party in one of the above pictures not long before saying Iâd call a shiny Roaring Moon Lavender. Looks like I found my shiny and no longer have to worry about possibly the hardest Paradox shiny hunt (excluding the Raidons, Proto Beasts and Neo Swords who canât be shiny-hunted). Time to use that Master Ball Iâve been saving for this moment
The other Pokémon in the cave had other ideas
And Lavender already had a Booster Energy as well!
Guess now I should bring Rose back into my Violet party now it has a proper counterpart (and I guess the next Paradox Pokémon I have to shiny hunt is Scream Tail)
#just casually doing stuff in Scarlet that I already did in Violet with their counterparts#armarouge#roaring moon#zweilous#pokĂ©mon scarlet#pokĂ©mon#shiny pokĂ©mon#picnic#and after all that Luna still doesnât have the Partner Mark#thatâs actually surprisingly fitting given the Bagon Mass Outbreaks start this week and they have boosted shiny chance

Recently ordered some Pokemon cards from Pokemon Center to get the Worlds promo card
Which I am very excited to say they remembered this time, unlike in February when they accidentally forgot the Pokemon Day card
We did it, Joe
I got a Shrouded Fable tin and one booster each for Obsidian Flames, Paldea Evolved and Paradox Rift (they are all expansions that I don't have as much of)
Here are pulls that I like very much
The new reverse holo style (as seen in the Water Energy and a few others) is interesting - very hexagonal - wonder if it's meant to be more themed after Legends Z-A as opposed to the stonework pattern being more Scarlet/Violet
I'm also going to a Stellar Crown pre-release event in a couple of weeks!

When The Don hits the field even the stormiest weather clears up, a small centralized bit of sunshine around him as the Booster energy attached to his necklace activates, and the Great Tusk is surrounded by crackling scarlet energy.
And with all the insanity of the cars behind her, why not add a freight train into the mix?
There's hardly a noise from her, just a haphazard slap of the hand, dismissing the demon out of hand as The Great Tusk rushed the wispy irradiated smoke demon with a Headlong Rush
Another solid hit, They were not longer on the back foot... At least for right now.
"KEEP AT IT, DON'T LET UP!!"
