Let’s started with the ebooks I bought on Amazon France. Some of those books are the books I heard a lot of the booktubers spoke over so I wanted to give them a try ...

via Instagram https://www.instagram.com/p/B6n6cHQJ0Tn/ My Christmas books: so grateful! I bought Nine Stories with proceeds from my podcast, as well as the ‘Salem’s Lot Blu-Ray (presents for myself!). I also received two lovely blank books as gifts. Fulfilling my goals of owning and reading all works by all three of these authors. Not shown: plethora of Kindle books also earned and gifted.

Hello everyone and happy Friday! Tonight I’m very excited as I’m going to be visiting my family tomorrow very briefly. I haven’t seen my sister @chrissireads since the summer and I haven’t seen my Mum since December 2019!! A year and a half almost!! All your fault Corona 🦠😒 This is the final part of my birthday book haul. Afterwards we’ll just be back to regular book hauls - yes I STILL have some books to share 🙈 I feel a bit sorry for the Ken Follett, compared to these three other gorgeous pieces of cover art, it looks quite plain and ordinary 😂 but I’m very much looking forward to starting a new, epic historical series that will be FAR from ordinary I’m sure! The cover of Fault Lines was designed by the super talented @hollydrawsinink and I fell in love with it instantly. Those of you that know me well might be aware that I’m all about the beautiful covers 😍 but the story, set in Japan (another tick!) looks too be just as wonderful. Finally, two more stunning covers - Boys Don’t Cry and a short story collection called Milk, Blood, Heat. I’ve heard amazing things about both these books and I’m keen to read all of them as soon as I can. I’d love to know your thoughts on any of these books or authors. Let me know what you think of the covers too. Do they make you want to pick the book up? Let’s have a chat in the comments! #bookstagram #booklover #bookrecommendations #bookstagrammer #bookhaul #bookhoarder #bookheaven #beautifulbooks #beautifulcovers #coverart #boysdontcry #fionascarlett #milkbloodheat #dantielwmoniz #faultlines #emilyitami #kenfollett #thepillarsoftheearth #historicalfiction #birthdaybookhaul #morebooksplease https://www.instagram.com/p/CPJYTlVreXk/?utm_medium=tumblr

“It was always wise to be polite to books, whether or not they could hear you.”― Margaret Rogerson, Sorcery of Thorns 📚 . . . Do you use booksleeves? 📚 . I bought this booksleeve designed by @chattynora from the December 2019 @owlcrate box from a B/S/T group. The other booksleeves are also from book boxes; the one directly behind the Sorcery of Thorns one is from the November 2017 @fairyloot and was designed by @aunjuliart (also bought on B/S/T) and the galaxy one is from the Obsidio box @theyachronicles did. ❤ . . . 📷 @sarahjones20 . . . #bookblog #Bookblogger #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookaddict #Bookworm #bibliopile #bookdragon #books #booknerd #bookish #reader #ausbookishfeatures #mybookfeatures #shelfie#bookobsessed #bookhoarder #bookcommunity #bookhaul #bookishhaul #bookmerchhaul #booksleeve #theyachronicles #fairyloot #owlcrate #bookphotography#bookishportrait #booksubscriptionbox #chattynora #aunjuliart https://www.instagram.com/p/B8nSRzMAOBW/?igshid=1jh0sp56blzel

December 2019 Kindle ebook purchases #bookhaul
Anyone who knows me, or follows this blog knows for sure that I have more than enough to read. I’ll never run out of great reading material.
However, like most bookworms, bookbloggers, and all other book obsessed people, I cannot seem to stop purchasing more books. It is a sickness. Also… I cannot resist a bargain. I use the excuse that Ebooks don’t take up any physical space. LOL
In December…

December 2019 Book Haul.
December 2019 Book Haul.
Wow, I can’t believe another month is over! Here is my bookhaul for December! I’ve been super lucky because most of these are gifts from fellow booklovers or I’ve been sent to review. Spy any favourites?
Sanctuary – V. V, James.
The small Connecticut town of Sanctuary is rocked by the death of its star quarterback. Daniel’s death looked like an accident, but everyone knows his ex-girlfriend…

“I stand and hold out my hand. She gives me a skeptical look, but takes it and lets me pull her to her feet. I put my other hand in the air. 'Bronwyn Rojas, I solemnly swear not to murder you today or at any point in the future. Deal?' 'You're ridiculous,' she mutters, going even redder. Hey all, Dani here.
Welcome to 2019, and that means that before I can really focus on the new year, I need to wrap up last year. As per the usual, I’ll start this post by going over everything I managed to read over the course of the month, and if I have a review up already, I will include the link to it in case you missed it and want to check it out. Then I’ll talk about what all I watched in the month, before moving on to my bookhaul and finally my TBR for this next month.
Wicked Saints by Emily A Duncan (5 stars) — review to come January 4th
Gmorning, Gnight! Little Pep Talks for Me and You by Lin-Manuel Miranda (5 stars)
My Hero Academia Volume 16 by Kohei Horikoshi (4 stars)
The Wicked + The Divine Volume 7 by Kieron Gillen and Jamie McKelvie (5 stars)
Phoenix Unbound by Grace Draven (4 stars)
The Adventurers Guild by Zack Loran Clark and Nick Eliopulos (4 stars)
Miles Morales: Spider-Man by Jason Reynolds (4 stars)
Black Clover Volume 4 by Yuki Tabata (5 stars)
Black Clover Volume 5 by Yuki Tabata (5 stars)
Dragonshadow by Elle Katharine White (4.5 stars)
Empire of Sand by Tasha Suri (4.5 stars)
Waterworld Volume 2: Charlotte by Rachel E Kelly (4.5 stars)
Happy Little Accidents: Wit and Wisdom of Bob Ross by Bob Ross and Michelle Witte (5 stars)
The Complete Tales of Beatrix Potter by Beatrix Potter (4 stars)
Fairy Tail Volume 4 by Hiro Mashima (5 stars)
Fairy Tail Volume 5 by Hiro Mashima (5 stars)
Grace and Fury by Tracy Banghart (3.5 stars)
Mirage by Somaiya Daud (3.5 stars)
The Way of Kings Part One by Brandon Sanderson (5 stars)
Whew, that was a lot of reading to accomplish in a month. I actually feel pretty good about that. There was a pretty decent balance to novels and manga, as well as YA, non-fiction, children’s books, and adult fantasy. Hopefully this first month of 2019 can be just as successful.
So I guess it’s time to talk about what I watched in December. I feel like it was a pretty impressive list as well, so I had plenty of time to relax, even with all the holiday running around we had to do.
Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (5 stars), Doctor Who series 4 (5 stars), Step Up 2 The Streets (4 stars), Phantom of the Opera (4.5 stars), How the Grinch Stole Christmas (4 stars), Spider-Man Into the Spiderverse (5 stars), Justice League (4 stars), The House with a Clock in its Walls (4 stars), Venom (5 stars), Inception (4.5 stars), Akame Ga Kill (4 stars), Aquaman (4.5 stars), Doctor Who series 5 (4.5 stars), Doctor Who series 6 (5 stars), and The Magicians (5 stars).
Next up, as always, is my bookhaul and OwlCrate unboxing portion of this post. I can honestly say that not everything we bought this month is in these photos. My mom got us a very nice gift card for Barnes & Noble, and they were having a pretty nice sale for manga, so we stocked up. But those haven’t arrived in the mail, so they’ll technically be in January’s haul. The photo with the most manga in it (Rosario Vampire, One Punch Man, etc) is my fiance’s haul from both Half Price Books and Barnes & Noble. And the OwlCrate includes a sampler for a book I am really looking forward to. I want to read it, but I also don’t, because samplers are basically a tease, and I already know I’ll devour the whole thing pretty quickly.
Finally, it is time for my January TBR. Now, for January, I’m going to somewhat participate in Kathy from Books & Munches Jan Jam Jar. So I’ve made myself a TBR jar, and will pull some titles from there to determine what I’m reading. I actually have the contents of the jar color coordinated so I can pick something according to mood–I have Orange for the big books on my 2019 reading goals, Green for manga and graphic novels, Pink for some of my current and backlisted Netgalley reviews, and Yellow for other random books I want to read soon. Oh, and I suppose I should clarify that for the manga, I just put titles for the series that I want to read, not any particular volume, so I can actually add the slips back into the mug and draw that series again.
Pretty much, I already reached into my mug and randomly selected one of each color to form my initial TBR. They are all books I’m looking forward to starting and/or finishing, so I’m hoping to be able to stick to this list and read through these quickly and pick more books. So stay tuned for my weekly update posts, as I may be drawing more titles from my TBR mug. Of course, I had to put three volumes of manga here, because I’m loving this series and won’t be able to stop after just one.
Well, that is all for me for today. I will absolutely be back soon with more bookish content.
December Wrap Up and January TBR Hey all, Dani here. Welcome to 2019, and that means that before I can really focus on the new year, I need to wrap up last year.
