(the axolotl is called wades! Bc of this change, at the end of the summer Mason doesn't get his memories back immediately- it takes a few months)

No! Hear me out please.

They BOTH fell at the same time! BOTH were horribly fallen for one another but BOTH were absolutely clueless in different ways, and BOTH are horribly obsessed with each other and can’t bear to spend a second without the other. Chloe was clueless in comphet denial and Red was clueless in “I don’t get love, why is my heart palpitating immensely every time I look at Chloe? Am I dying? [Gasp] Did someone put a curse on me for every time I look at Chloe I almost get a heart attack and my body temperature increases in my face?”

This leads to a lot of horrible situations where one desperately tries to tell the other but the other just doesn’t get it and they’re stuck in this horrible loop until one of them has enough and they pull the other in the kiss.

I really don’t understand how people are sleeping on Fiddauthor when it has practically everything;

it’s incredibly angsty, it’s wholesome, they’ve both got religious baggage (In Ford’s case it’s worshipping Bill as a false idol & his Jewish upbringing & for Fidd’s it’s his presumably fundamentalist Protestant/Christian upbringing.), it’s informed by the historical setting of the mid-to-late 20th century, it’s got demonic intervention, it’s got multiple levels of homewrecking, it’s got daddy-issues & general familial issues, it’s got queer subtext, it’s got one-sided longing, it’s got alien child adoption, it’s got apocalyptic consequences & it has two socially-rejected, morally ambiguous nerds who are horrible at communicating with one another as its focus.

Also, when given the opportunity, they end up becoming some of the most powerful, wealthy & influential tech-capitalists & scientists to have ever existed on a global scale. In universe, they are an actual power couple.

In conclusion, no one matches anyone else’s freak as well as those two do.

MABEL ⇆ STANFORD

Mabel takes the role of Stanford in this au! Fun loving and enthusiastic since birth, Mabel was once a budding young photographer who eventually found her way as a newspaper journalist for Levity Rises. She quickly began to notice some of the strange things happening in the town, taking pictures and objects to create her own scrapbooks. She didn't think much of it at the time, but she was certain her brother would've liked the scrapbooks. Maybe if she'd done something earlier, she wouldn't have accidentally ended up in another dimension for 30 years- oh well- at least she knows how to kick ass across 7 different dimensions. Not sure how the identity theft is gonna work yet-

OK REFRESHER ON THE OLD CAST and added Grauntie Mabel too! One of my friends suggested to call Ford 'Sixer' the same way Dipper is named, so that's what's gonna happen going forward just cause it's a cool lil detail (plus in this au Six hides his hands in a similar way to Dipper hiding his birthmark so I think it works). Notes as per usual :]

Also yeah, I put my ussy into that logo, you're gonna see it a bit
