🌙 In this queer, supernatural YA graphic novel from the author of Some Girls Do and the illustrator of Wonder Woman: Warbringer, a reluctant teen werewolf would do anything to be human—if that’s what it takes to win her crush’s heart.
❓ What's your favorite book featuring werewolves?
🌙 High school senior Tessa doesn't fit in anywhere. Not at school, where she can't figure out how to confess the feelings she's had for her best friend Maddie since the fourth grade. And definitely not at home, where the rest of her family of werewolves make her feel like an outcast because she can't even shift into her full wolf form yet. Sometimes she thinks her whole life would be easier if she was normal, like Maddie and everyone else at school. When word gets out that a group of werewolf hunters has infiltrated her pack's territory, and that they've developed a treatment that can make werewolves become human, Tessa thinks she's found the answer to her problems. But when it turns out there might be more to the hunters' plans than anyone knows, it's up to Tessa to put herself on the line to protect the lives of those she loves the most.

If Laios is going to investigate the weird biology of every dungeon monster maybe he will investigate something that has haunted (lol) and vexed me for many years, which is that if ghosts are made up of soulstuff or whatever, are their clothes and equipment (if applicable) part of their bodies? Obviously in Discworld logic that's just the clothes' ghost (ham sandwiches have ghosts. not mustard though) but in DnD rules if you cut a ghost's clothes are you costing them hit points? What else would it be made of. I often think about this.
i officially did my last day of internship yesterday and immediately woke up with a fever today i feel like there's probably a connection there somehow

Out this week: Full Shift (Penguin Young Readers, $17.99):
Jennifer Dugan and Kit Seaton tell the story of Tessa, a werewolf who can’t fully change form yet and would do anything to become humna — even take a cure presented by a group of werewolf hunters.
See what other comics and graphic novels are arriving at your local comic shop this week.
Stayed up until 1:00am to finish the last two hours of Thud!
You’d think I’d be prepared after seven books for Vimes to do something in the last act that has me on the edge of my seat holding my breath, until against all odds, the universe blinks first and I’m bowled over again by the heights of integrity one brave old terrier from the gutter can rise to. Still, I am surprised every time.
August has the most amount of anticipated releases that I’ve have in years – Oy Vey! My bank balance is not going to like me. I’m going to have to think creatively to acquire a little more spending money. The first six books I’ve definitely purchasing. All of them auto-buy authors and have me salivating to get started…
My Salty Mary (#3 Mary) – Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton and Jodi Meadows…
In my heart the 8063rd and the 8055th have full staffs like real life MASH units and it’s literally just the 4077th that has to get by on four surgeons.
