quick little thingy of hobie!!

got the spiderverse art book (I am so unbelievably happy) and realised I wasn’t drawing hobie’s hair as accurately as I’d like to. I tried to stay true to his hair type here and improve on how I normally draw it. i’m definitely still working on it!! please tell me if I need to improve on anything if you have knowledge on wicks and black hair types as I’d love to be able to draw hobie as accurately as I possibly can ^^ I’d also like to know to be able to draw character designs with similar hair types in future!!

I also researched more punk clothing for this drawing (specifically 1970s punk)!! hopefully I drew his clothes authentic enough. gave him a ramones shirt too because I like the ramones hehehehehssmsmsmwj

tried a different ish artstyle with more sketchy line work and a transparent pen!! also gave him obligatory battle scars

silly post but i always forget reading is a hobby because i read every day while i eat lunch and dinner so i ban myself from reading at other times so as to not blow through books too quickly (books expensive. library not possible for me to visit in-person regularly due to disabled. no ebooks i wanted to read available for me to borrow through my library bc the catalogue sucks for my taste.) BUT you are allowed to do that....... reading whenever.........

Airline now told me I'm not getting compensated for the missed flight and 13 hour overnight layover because it was "outside of the airline's control". Well that's convenient for them, right. okay 54 books already sounded like so many but then you casually mentioned that you'd mostly been reading via audiobook and all of a sudden it was an absurd number! that's so many hours of audio!! so so glad to hear that your brain fog has lifted to that degree; I hope it continues to improve 💕

this is so nice! I was actually a little nervous to admit that I'm mostly an audiobook user, because sometimes people will try to be like "that's not actually reading" for whatever reason. I feel like sometimes it's a little more challenging (I just finished Gideon the Ninth and for that one I definitely couldn't listen at 1.25x-2x speed) but for whatever reason it's been really working for me.

I will say that I think my spotify wrapped data will be like "uh you barely listened to any music this year" because I've been spending so much of my listening time over in the Libby app
