This post is just gonna be me rambling about my sonas and shite, if you’re interested, look under the cut. Skullcandy (she/her)

The edgelord herself. As can be obviously deduced (probably), I made her when I was 12-ish, and for whatever reason I’ve never been able to get unattached to her, no matter how many times I’ve tried to replace her. I guess she’s here to stay, lol.

She’s an “irradiated raptor”, which is some sort of radioactive creature that might’ve been a ferret at one point. Her head was based off a ball python’s, just because I find their faces cute. The rest was made up on the fly. In earlier designs, she used to have tiny crystal wings for some reason, but they’re no longer in use. She’s incapable of dying via physical injury, a blessing or curse depending on who you ask (mostly just an excuse for gore art).

Loid Bimac (he/they)

This little octo dude I can’t stop drawing. Sleep-deprived, always moving, might be a little feral. I made him sometime in 2022, originally starting out as a xeno design I scribbled down once in class. Eventually I redrew it and started using him regularly. Before his creation, I used Hachikō in place of myself a lot. He’s a California two-spot octopus, having little eyespots on his shoulders he’s kinda insecure about. His earlier design had more suction cups on his hair which I got rid of for ease and simplicity, which is why some older art of him has five suckers on his front tentacles instead of three. The finger color gradient is completely optional and I add it whenever I feel like it, it’s never consistent. His beak is weird because my teeth are kinda like that (albeit, a lot less noticeably.

Kid (any/it)

This weird goat chimera that took way too long to finalize a design for. They’re a bizarre thing, usually around a little jackalope by the name of Kit (a friend’s sona I designed for them). Their scales and horns are iridescent, based off an emerald jewel wasp. Their arms can become bat-like wings for absolutely no reason other than I said so. The innermost toe can twist back and forth and behave like a foot-thumb, the two other toes forming a hoof. The maw is based off thylacoleo, just because the teeth are funky. The tail has a stinger hidden in the fluff just because. Honestly a lot of their design is “just because”.

Saturn (she/they/he)

I wish I had a higher quality image of them because this is from an Aggie/magma canvas so it’s very fuzzy. Just a little hyena sona vaguely based off the planet, Saturn. Nothing much to them.

Dani (she/her)

~Rune Factory 3 Special Golden Memories Edition ~

I shared my pics from the unboxing of RF5, so I figured, why not do it again? Also, I just love talking about Rune Factory~ X3

First off, the special edition case and the beautifully sunny box art. Micah and his wooly form are cute as ever, along with four potential brides (I feel like they specifically chose the girls who were the most popular from the original game, though I'm surprised Daria didn't make the cut)

Next is the actual game case, which seems to share the same cover art as the original DS game only on a golden backdrop. Very classic~

Another CD, I've yet to listen to the CDs from RF4S or RF5. Maybe they're still big overseas, but if I'm listening to a game soundtrack, I'm doing it online, ya know? Still very pretty though.

This addition is pretty cute. The planner includes both a real week by week calendar AND an in game calendar with tips and birthdays for the characters~ X3

And now my favorite part of the whole set, the standees! My shelves were severely lacking in RF merch so I friggin love this set. It seems you can display them in any order you want, promo pics have Micah up front, but I thought it looked more balanced with Frey in the center. I really hope they release more of these~

Lastly the XSEED order bonus, the golden wooly keychain. I...Don't think it's quite as cute as the RF5 one ngl. No one's fault, but I just don't think Micah's wooly self translates to plushie form that well, at least not one this tiny.

I'd definitely recommend this set for any Rune Factory fan or just fans of fantasy or farming rpgs in general, if anyone's on the fence deciding, I'll answer any questions about the special edition to the best of my abilities. Happy farming~

My favorite weather is temperatures between high-50s and mid-70s, partly cloudy with a breeze. That said, I also love the rain (which is good, considering I live in the PNW) and I have a fondness for super cold but sunny days.

I took this pic of Skyler on our way to see the vet yesterday!

She was born with some sort of autoimmune issue and she is a hospice-foster which means she lives with us but she gets all her medical care through the shelter. The vets we worked with retired recently and we are transitioning to a new vet who is very cool and proactive and he wanted to have an official exam with her to go over her treatment plan. 

Skyler did NOT behave herself and was very grumpy and growly during the visit but we were able to get her checked out and discuss what her future might be like. Our goal is for quality of life and keeping her as happy and comfortable as we can. When I took her home 10 years ago I never imagined she would still be here with us today so every day is a bonus. Her health issues are still kind of a mystery but I am always happy to discuss more if anyone is curious :)

Once we got home she was right back to her sunny, cheerful self, snoozing in her carrier. She's such a funny cat!
