STACKEDIARIES | february 19th | “let her go”
[Caption: gifs from The Vampire Diaries. Damon gets home from Liz’s funeral and just as he hangs up the phone he notices pancakes on the kitchen table. He looks up and sees a slightly dishevelled Bonnie looking at him. Softly asking “Bonnie?”, she replies to him with a look of wonder and a smile, saying “The one and only.”, as if neither can believe she’s there. He smiles and opens his arms for her; Bonnie laughs before jumping at him, with her arms and legs wrapped around him as he hugs her tight, laughing with excited happiness, with Damon saying “Oh, you made it!”.]

The Bennetts + Caroline
[Caption. gifs from The Vampire Diaries. The first scene shows Elena appearing in the Forbes’ doorstep to speak to Bonnie, who’s inside next to her sleeping mother while she transitions. Caroline tells Elena that Bonnie doesn’t want to see her; that it’s going to be a hard few days for them and that if Bonnie needs some time to deal, Elena should give it to her. Elena insists, saying Bonnie’s always been there for her and to let her do the same; Caroline apologizes but stays firm. Gentle, she asks Elena to put herself in Bonnie’s shoes: what happened to Abby was to save Elena. Caroline says “And that’s okay, because she loves you. So much. But somehow [Bonnie’s always the one who gets hurt.”
In the second scene, Caroline catches Abby writing a goodbye letter; Abby says she doesn’t “know how to do this”. Caroline asks if she meant being a vampire or a parent, saying she can help with the first, by teaching her self-control, but being a parent is all on Abby. She tells her that she run away once and Bonnie grew up without a mother, and that now that she has an eternity to make up for it, Abby’s throwing it away. Choked up, she insists Bonnie’s better off without her; Caroline, emotional, says no one is better off without their parents. She says that Bonnie wants to make this work for them, and begs Abby, “Please. Just stay.”
On the last scene, after Enzo is killed by Stefan, Bonnie opens the door to find her mother on the other side. Hesitant, with averting and tentatively meeting their eyes, Abby tells her that Caroline called her and told her what happened. Abby says she’s sorry, and that Caroline told her Bonnie doesn’t want to talk to her, but that Caroline hoped she’d want to talk to Abby. After a moment, Bonnie walks through the doorway and hugs her mother tight. Abby closes her eyes, starting to fall off, and Bonnie closes hers and the breath she was holding.]

Stefan, Elena, Caroline, Tyler, Bonnie, and Damon
I'm gonna warn you there's a lot heheheheheh! Also sorry this took forever! Also I hope I didn't come off as rude or anything in any of my responses!
Stefan
• My NOTP for them: I thought it was Valerie maybe Caroline but I think it's Katherine. Valerie left him but Caroline cared for him and (I'm 99.9% she didn't treat him like trash so shes good in my book but I still don't ship them.) Now I'm just gonna say this Katherine and Stefan do look chemistry together. I do believe Katherine cares for very few people and he may be one of those people. But that doesn't really excuse...she messed him up. Like bad. Like really really bad. Now I do like Katherine's personality she's pretty cool but that wasn't her best moment. I'm not Kat hater but she shouldn't have compelled and manipulated Stefan in the way she did.
• My BROTP for them: Lexi! I mean have you seen these two they're the best together (platonically of course) they bring the best out of each other. And Lexi truly cares for Stefan she's been they're for him during his blood cravings to the times he shut of his humanity. It's really hard not to love they're friendship especially since it's healthier compared to some of the other relationships in tvd.
• My OTP for them: Stelena (duh). I just find them to be adorable. And healthier than delena. *cough *cough Stefan never forced Elena to do anything and let her make her own choices. And Elena accepted Stefan for who he was and loved him even more for it especially because he was honest! And he also didn't go and kill innocent people because he was mad Elena broke up with him. Sorry for the rant! Delena lovers don't come for me!
• My second choice pairing for them: it's between Caroline and Rebekah with Stefan. As far as I know they both treated him right. Correct me if I'm wrong. As long as they cared for him that's all that matters in my book.
• My fluffy pairing for them: Still stelena because they're so adorable it makes me want to write fluffy fanfiction of them. Which I have. 15 to be exact. I find they're relationship to be very sweet and I love that they have an mutual understanding and respect of one another. I also love how they both bring the best out of each other. And they (usually) make each other very happy and that's a A+ in my book!
• My angsty pairing for them: Stefan and Katherine. I mean report to whole first paragraph it'll tell you exactly why.
• My favorite poly ship for them: I don't have any tbh.
• My weirdest pairing for them: Klaus and Stefan...? Not 100% sure tbh.
Elena
• My NOTP for them: Delena. No respect. Just some prize to be won in Damon eyes. Goes on a killing spree if she breaks up with him. Doesn't want her to make her own choices. Doesn't have regard for who Elena cares for which in the end, ends up hurting Elena. Kinda felt like he expected her to be exactly like Katherine. Sire bond. Sorry sometimes I love Damon other times I don't.
• My BROTP for them: Elena and Bonnie. Bonnie truly cares for all of her friends and it's hard not to love they're friendship especially when they stuck together through thick and thin. Bonnie is the most loyal and caring friend we need more people like her.
• My OTP for them: Stelena <3 they're so adorable like I said before! :)
• My second choice pairing for them: Elejah.
• My fluffy pairing for them: Stelena!
• My angsty pairing for them: Delena. I mean have you seen they're arguments it was intense and not in a good way.
• My favorite poly ship for them: I don't have any.
• My weirdest pairing for them: The only ship that weird would be Klaus and Elena 😳 cause you know he killed her aunt. Maybe Delena cause Damon snapped Jeremy's neck. 😳
Caroline
• My NOTP for them: Klaroline. Why? Klaus hurt her friends multiple times. But I do respect how he did change but it's kinda hard to like the ship because of all the awful things he has done to the group and others in general. I do like he changed and became better but it feels weird to me it's like delena in the way We're Elena got with Damon after all the horrible things he did. (How he treated Caroline, his brother, how he treated Andy, killed Lexi, killed their nephew, killed Countless innocents, manipulate people to get what he wanted.) In conclusion I don't like Klaus but I do like Caroline. She also mentioned why would I help you after you've hurt me friends multiple times? Great point Caroline! Kudos to Care! I also love Caroline because I relate to her the most out of everyone. I love how she's never afraid to point out when somethings wrong, cares for others deeply, and is never afraid to be honest. (OK everyone is afraid sometimes but you get my point!)
• My BROTP for them: Bonnie <3 She's the greatest and literally does anything for all of her friends including Care!
• My OTP for them: Forwood <3 why? Cause they're cute! They're My comfort ship. I mean come on have you seen this two 👇
• My second choice pairing for them: Steroline I believe Stefan treated her well and she treated him well!
• My fluffy pairing for them: Forwood! Literally so fluffy and cute!
• My angsty pairing for them: Forwood had its angsty moments!
• My favorite poly ship for them: I don't have any!
• My weirdest pairing for them: I don't have any either!
Tyler
• My NOTP for them: Ticki, this is mainly because I ship forwood and Vicky wasn't exactly the greatest person in the world. (No offense.) And Tyler wasn't exactly the greatest towards her as well. I think Caroline helped him become a better person along with learning himself especially with his journey of turning into a werewolf and things like that.
• My BROTP for them: Tyler and Matt!
• My OTP for them: Forwood my beloved <3
• My second choice pairing for them: I don't think I have any #forwoodforever!
• My fluffy pairing for them: Forwood is always going to win no changing My mind!
• My angsty pairing for them: Forwood could be angsty tbh.
• My favorite poly ship for them: None.
• My weirdest pairing for them: I don't have any.
Bonnie
• My NOTP for them: Benzo I guess??? But I don't really know if I would say Benzo tho. I don't really know Enzos character well enough to say no but not yes either. Honestly I just want Bonnie to be happy she's suffered to much!
• My BROTP for them: Bonnie and Elena. I love they're friendship! I do like Bonnie and Caroline as well! <3
• My OTP for them: Bamon! They're so cute and actually legit healthy!
• My second choice pairing for them: Bamon!
• My fluffy pairing for them: Bamon! They're so adorable! I love stelena hugs but they're hugs as sooooo cute! Especially this one 👇
• My angsty pairing for them: Benzo cause you know he died in her arms. And her scream was terrifying and extremely sad.
• My favorite poly ship for them: I don't have any sorry! 😭
• My weirdest pairing for them: None!
Damon
• My NOTP for them: Delena. No words for that. I think I already made it very clear why! 😌
• My BROTP for them: Stefan and Damon! I love how in the end their bond was fixed and their relationship got better as the show progressed!
• My OTP for them: Bamon! They're My favorite non couple canon ship. I ship them but sadly their relationship wasn't canon 😭. Usually I don't like two characters that had no romantic scenes together but this is the exception. I. Mean.Come.On.Look.At.Them! They have chemistry why couldn't they've been together! I know I've said this about the other couples but this is the most true they brought out the best in each other!!!!
• My second choice pairing for them: No one but bamon!
• My fluffy pairing for them: Bamon!
• My angsty pairing for them: Delena! Eeek!
• My favorite poly ship for them: Don't have any!
• My weirdest pairing for them: None.

2nd House signs as AOTY winners
Disclaimer:
Aquarius 2nd House isn't in this list because no band or artist with this placement has won it, at least for the people we know about the birth time.
Do you want to win an AOTY? Have a Scorpio 2nd House.
Some AOTY winners won't be present because we don't know their birth time
When you read 'ruled by', it means the 2nd House is ruled by that planet.
Aries 2nd House
The Beatles (ruled by Gemini Mars in the 4th House): they won it for Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1968), it was associated with numerous touchstones of the era's youth culture, such as fashion, drugs, mysticism, and a sense of optimism and empowerment.
Michael Jackson (ruled by Taurus Mars in the 2nd House): he won it for Thriller (1984), itforeshadows the contradictory themes of Jackson's personal life, as he began using a motif of paranoia and darker themes. It is the best-selling album of all time, with sales of 70 million copies worldwide.
Whitney Houston (ruled by Libra Mars in the 7th House): she won it for The Bodyguard Soundtrack (1994), the album gave Houston the distinction of having the most weeks at number one by a female artist on Billboard 200, holding that record for 19 years until being surpassed by Adele's album 21 (2011).
Billie Eilish (ruled by Pisces Mars in the 12th House): she won it for When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? (2020), its songs explore themes such as modern youth, drug addiction, heartbreak, suicide, and mental health, with lyrical sensibilities of humor and horror. Eilish said the album was inspired in part by lucid dreaming and night terrors, which are reflected on the cover photo.
Others: Herbie Hancock (ruled by Gemini Mars in the 3rd House; with Jupiter, Sun, Saturn and Uranus): The Joni Letters (2008). Bruno Mars (ruled by Virgo Mars in the 7th House): 24k Magic (2018)
Taurus 2nd House
Barbra Streisand (ruled by Venus Pisces in the 12th House; with Saturn and Uranus): she won it for The Barbra Streisand Album (1964); Streisand said about the title, "'What is the truth of it? It's the Barbra Streisand album.' If you saw me on TV, you could just go [to the record shop] and ask for the Barbra Streisand album. It's common sense."
Beck (ruled by Leo Venus in the 6th House; with Saturn): he won it for Morning Phase (2015).
Others: John Lennon (ruled by Virgo Venus in the 6th House): Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1968, with The Beatles), Double Fantasy (1982, with Yoko Ono).
Gemini 2nd House
Bonnie Raitt (ruled by Scorpio Mercury in the 7th House; with Moon): she won it for Nick of Time (1990), many of the songs deal with personal issues Raitt was struggling with at the time. For example, the album's title track is about coming to terms with middle age.
Kacey Musgraves (ruled by Virgo Mercury in the 5th House): she won it for Golden Hour (2019), it's a country pop record, it also contains elements of disco, electropop, electronica, and yacht rock.
Cancer 2nd House
Judy Garland (ruled by Sagittarius Moon in the 6th House; with Neptune): the first woman to win AOTY, she won it for Judy at Carnegie Hall (1962), a live recording of a concert of hers in New York.
Adele (ruled by Sagittarius Moon in the 6th House): she won it for 21 (2012), composed in the aftermath of the singer's separation from her then partner, the album explores themes of heartbreak, healing, introspection, and forgiveness; and 25 (2017), its lyrical content features themes of Adele "yearning for her old self, her nostalgia", and "melancholia about the passage of time" according to an interview with the singer by Rolling Stone, as well as themes of motherhood, new love, and regret.
Leo 2nd House
Henry Mancini (ruled by Aries Sun in the 10th house; with North Node and Neptune): the first AOTY winner, he won it for The Music from Peter Gunn (1959), a soundtrack album for the TV series Peter Gunn.
João Gilberto (ruled by Gemini Sun in the 12th house; with Mars and Neptune): he won it together with Stan Getz for the album 'Getz/Gilberto" (1965), it's considered the record that popularized bossa nova worldwide and is one of the best-selling jazz albums of all time, selling over one million copies.
George Michael (ruled by Cancer Sun in the 12th House; with Moon): he won it for Faith (1989), in addition to playing various instruments on the album, Michael wrote and produced every track on the recording except for one, "Look at Your Hands". Faith's songs include introspective lyrics, which generated controversies about Michael's personal relationships at that time.
Alanis Morissette (ruled by Gemini Sun in the 11th House): she won it for Jagged Little Pill (1996). The lyrics touch upon themes of aggression and unsuccessful relationships, while Ballard introduced a pop sensibility to Morissette's angst.

Its lyrics touch upon Hill's pregnancy and the turmoil within her former group the Fugees, along with themes of love and God. In 2000, the band Santana wins AOTY for Supernatural, Lauryn is credited as producer.
Other: Art Garfunkel (ruled by Libra Mercury in the 3rd House; with Neptune and North Node): Bridge Over Troubled Water (1971, with Paul Simon).

Scorpio 2nd House
Frank Sinatra (ruled by Leo Mars in the 10th house; with Mercury and Sun): he won it for Come Dance With Me! Finished listening to "Dead Head" - these are the pulpiest books I've read in years I love them. Hard to know how to approach possible spoilers bc Sweetpea only just aired it's first series. They probably won't get as far as adapting "Dead Head" though.
Spoilers below the break and also something about "The Red Notebook" by Antoine Lauraine, "Private Peaceful" by Michael Morpurgo, and "Lessons In Chemistry" by Bonnie Garmus
I didn't think I'd miss Georgia Maguire doing her Ray Winston foetus voice for Ivy, but the Mexican baby voice she gave Matilda made up for it. I was fully just picturing Rhiannon at a cartel safe house playing Sylvanian families with Dora the Explorer.
I listen to these while walking my dog in the morning, and every single scene and chapter, if I relisten, I can picture exactly where in the park I am.
For the final standoff scene of "Dead Head" I literally just sat in the conservatory and listened because GIRL. Your HAND. And during Rhiannon and Raphael fighting those guys I was in the shops buying acrylic paint varnish.
I genuinely love the sincere awareness of weird true crime stans and hibristophiliacs and the meta commentary, warning us off enjoying Rhiannon too much. It reminds me of a video essay I watched on Bojack Horseman - something about the audience being culpable of wanting to see this toxic character go off the rails. I like it, it's smart.
I get the feeling that "Thorn In My Side" might be a lockdown narrative. I'm sure Skuse will do a good job, I just don't enjoy the media we made during them. Didn't have a fun lockdown personally, I don't vibe well with them.
For my book club this month I also read "Private Peaceful" by Michael Morpurgo and boy was that a blast from the past. I remember at least one other English set in my school did that as set group reading way back in 2005.
Side note - why don't Scholastic book fairs for adults exist? Zero vat, book fair popups with Millennial nostalgia. Original concept do not steal.
No idea who in book club put "Private Peaceful" in the jar, but it was appropriate for November I suppose. The audiobook had dreadful interstitial keyboard trumpet music between chapters. Probably it was for back when it was released on tape and the music is to tell the bored ass teacher that the chapter is over.
It was fine. Wasn't exactly "War Horse," though. Very KS3.
So I have repeatedly started and given up on "Lessons In Chemistry" by Bonnie Garmus this year - like four times with both a library book and audiobook, and then, what pops out of the book club jar? "Lessons In Chemistry". I could've spit.
So I pushed through a bit more and there were immediately scenes of "oh the super smart neurodivergent woman gets abused in academia and r*ped"
This isn't fun for me.
And then there's a visceral death scene and brutal depictions of grief.
This is a dark comedy??
I get so bored of period fiction where the conceit is just "DID U KNOW SEXISM USED TO BE WAY WORSE AND PERMISSABLE??? WATCH THIS LOVELY WOMAN SUFFER"
And why is it so long??? The only good thing is it got me to make a lasagna.
So I might not finish it. I'm sure it could get better, but I don't read books to get triggered and depressed. And I recognise that is hypocritical when I'm talking about how great the Sweetpea series is.
And the third one we got for book club is "The Red Notebook" by Antoine Laurain. We normally only get two books but this one and "Private Peaceful" were shorter so three it is. Halfway through it and it's so delightfully Paris in 2007, but annoyingly male gazey in the academic sense of the word. Like an Amelie/While You Were Sleeping mashup.
Got another hour on the audiobook so I'll finished that one tomorrow when I walk the dog, then I'll start "Thorn In My Side"

*I don’t know which animatic reconstructions they where and they are probably gone but now. they where basically a few people’s animatics of each song with “slime tutorial” footage in between for the dialogue which between taking the exact versions of the song from the album, uploading bootleg footage and taking other people animatics possibly without permission was a doomed endeavour from the start.

STACKEDIARIES | march 29th | “the murder of one”
[Caption: gifs from The Vampire Diaries. Bonnie looks at Damon, who’s been hanged by the ceiling and slashed all over his chest with a knife by Rebekah. He is fadding out, calling her name for help. Klaus, amused by the situation, tells her “Go on. Help him. Save the man who turned your mother into a vampire.” Bonnie is visibly conflicted, while a weakend Damon looks in her direction. Trembling, Bonnie says “Just get me out of here.” Klaus smiles and says “Very well.”, helping her out with an arm, as Damon’s head slowly falls.]

STACKEDIARIES | march 12th | “the downward spiral”
[Caption: gifs from The Vampire Diaries. On the left, Liam approaches Caroline by a bar, saying “Caroline Forbes, the girl from the swimming hole.”; Caroline, grinning and letting her head fall against the palm of her hand while her arm rest on the bar, responds “Liam. The boy I totally forgot existed.” On the right, a random guy at a rave tells Bonnie “I can’t help it. You’re hot.” and grabs her to dance with her. Bonnie burns the hand holding onto her waist; in pain, he asks “What the hell did you do?” and Bonnie, calm, replies “Can’t help it. I’m hot.”]

It's disappointing how Bonnie ships are always held to a completely different standard than those of other female characters. The show consistently treats Bonnie as "the ugly duckling" among white swans and the fandom often echoes the show's beliefs. Bonnie stans are just supposed to accept that she is seen as less than and unworthy of attention from leading male characters. How dare we believe Klaus could be attracted to Bonnie? Kat and Joseph were a fan of Klonnie being canon so much so that Kat caught Joseph watching Klonnie edits.
This page is dedicated to the potential relationship between these two characters (Bonnie and Klaus). Despite only being created a year ago, Klonnie Shippers Club has almost 400 followers. To my followers, there's nothing scary about wanting better love interests for Bonnie. There's nothing scary about understanding all that Bonnie and Klaus have in common. There's nothing scary about wanting a relationship to shift from hate to love. There's nothing scary about acknowledging their chemistry in the few scenes they have together. There's nothing scary about simply finding them both hot and thinking they'll be sexy together. This ship makes plenty of sense to us and our community.
some of yall are scary because what do you mean you ship klonnie?? bonnie tried to kill him how many times? and klaus too like that ship doesn't make any sense im sorry. bonkai i kind of get it since kai was obviously attracted to her but still they tried to kill themselves!
