I just really like the idea of my favorite characters falling in love.
All those little things that creep up on you and aren't so much things as actually pieces of the person you love. That oh I think I love you feeling..
Like when you realize how soft skin is when you really get a chance to run your hands over someone and feel them
How calloused fingers feel similar to scabs that you could pick off if you could get under them the right way
That they refuse to get up on rainy weekends and you end up back under the blankets with them and dozing the whole day away
The scars and stretch marks making soft and oddly textured spots where their body took the time to embroider the skin it healed
When you get to see how many shades go into their skin and eyes and hair and how there's always more colors to see
How they always sing off key and too loud when you're with them but it's the best soundtrack you've ever heard
That running fingers through their hair lets you feel all the textures and the soft sound your nails make on their scalp
Getting the chance to pick out all the colors that make up their eyes in rings of blue and green and brown and grey
How lashes makes spider leg shadows on their cheeks and you never liked spiders but could learn to love them
That the curve of their ears are perfect and god that's a stupid thing but it's true
When the pulse in their neck feels like your own and the veins under their skin look like rivers that carry everything back to them always them
How they're warm when they sit next to you and it's the kind of warm that makes you feel sleepy and safe
That they laugh with their head thrown back and eyes crinkled up with wrinkles like the creases in a well loved book
How their lip split when it's dry out and they can't stop tugging at it until it starts bleeding
When they grin at you with one side of their smile higher than the other and show too much gum when they're really happy
The way their teeth are stained from all the coffee they drink and that little gap that never went away even after the braces
It roars in you and you can't stop staring because my god they're prefectly human and all you can see
I just really love to see that in fandoms and pairings.
I love the idea of falling in love through someone else's eyes.
I love the idea of falling in love right next to them.

I know Bokuto and Kuroo's actions towards Tsukishima are put as like "Two uncles who won't leave their nephew alone" (I think) and on one hand I think that's funny
But on the other hand during that training camp when it came to Tsukishima I really couldn't help but see it as two dudes who are dating but are looking for a third to pull in so they can have a triad poly relationship, and so they took one look at Tsukishima and said "That's the one" regardless of any redeeming qualities he might have and pursued him anyways😂
Bokuto: Come on, Tsuki! Join us! We have cookies!
Kuroo: You know, Tsuki if you don't join us then I guess we'll have to move on to Hinata. You're just gonna let him beat you in everything it seems😏
Tsukishima: Leave me alone. Stop calling me Tsuki and if you want Hinata take him instead
Kuroo conversing with Bokuto: That's odd. People usually react, not leave when I say stuff like that
Bokuto conversing with Kuroo: We can win him over! Just you wait!
Akaashi, internally: They are such idiots
Tsukishima: No you won't!🙄 *leaves*

I just saw four birds flying around and three of them were like dipping away from each other and circling around each other and playing and the fourth one hung back only a little bit and then dove in really quickly for a second and then jumped out again and idk it just reminded me of Kuroo, Bokuto, Tsukishima, and Akaashi for some reason

“Are… are you cooking?” prompt. Honestly I wanna see Bokuto cook but idk who to ship him with in this case. Kuroo? Akaashi?? Tsukki??? All three??? The possibilities are endless
ok so after a long debate with myself (read: about five seconds) I went with all three. Because there’s never enough of it.
this turned in a 2.8k long domestic mess I’m sorry (also there might be a few typos left)
-
Kuroo sighed as he reached the top of the stairs. The day hadn’t been particularly eventful but, for some reason, it had seemed much longer than usual. Every class had felt like a hours-long call to napping and even coffee hadn’t succeeded in giving him any more energy. He’d really been looking forward to the walk back home with Akaashi and Tsukishima - their classes finished pretty much at the same time, and it was much less lonely like this. But, more importantly that day, it marked the end of a succession of classes each more boring than the other, and he was feeling so drained that he hadn’t even participated in the snark-off his two boyfriends had started as soon as they had met up.
He fumbled with the keys and had to try twice before he got them into the lock. Behind him, Akaashi and Tsukishima were arguing about woodprint history, which was a subject both beyond his knowledge and his capacity for attention, especially at seven in the evening on a Friday night. All he was hoping for were the couch, some terrible movie they could watch and make fun of, and snuggling with his three other halves - well, quarters, maybe? semantics - until he fell asleep.
Which sounded like many of their Friday nights anyway, so he was pretty confident in his plan, until they got in the appartment, closed the door, and Bokuto wasn’t there to greet them.
He finished earlier than them on Fridays, and would usually get take-out for their dinner and come home to clean up a bit so none of them would have anything more to do in the evening. Which meant he gathered all of their things lying on the ground, dumped them in a corner - at this point, it was more The Corner, and it was very much hidden behind multiple clothes and notebooks and kneepads and books - and lazed around as he waited for them.
So to have him nowhere in sight was a bit unsettling. Kuroo turned to the other two, and they shared a confused look.
“Maybe he fell asleep?” Akaashi offered, shrugging off his jacket.
“Call him,” Tsukishima told Kuroo with a gesture toward the - apparently empty - appartment as he took his shoes off.
It took Kuroo a few seconds to process the words, his brain still as sluggish as it had been all day, but he shrugged and then cupped his hands around his mouth.
“Oi, Koutarou!”
“Not that loud!” Tsukishima protested with a sour face.
Kuroo was wondering if he could keep up with even light bickering, when his train of thought was interrupted by a muffled “Shit!” and a loud clang coming from the general direction of their kitchen. Akaashi reacted the quickest and darted off, leaving his bag behind him. Tsukishima and Kuroo took off after him after a shared, vaguely panicked glance, and they came to a halt next to him as he pulled open the door to the kitchen.
Bokuto was there, looking at them half-sheepish half-irritated as he sucked on his left index.
“Get out, guys, I’m not done,” he ordered, looking actually serious for once.
He was completely ignored. His boyfriends took in the scene with bewildered eyes. The window was wide open, and there was a big dish of pasta on the counter, looking - and smelling, Kuroo noted - pretty delicious. There was a small pan lying in the sink, most likely the one Bokuto had just dropped, if the splotches of sauce on the ground were anything to go by. Other than that, the room was surprisingly clean, even couting the table where a few ustentils were still lying around. Surprisingly because, the last time Bokuto had tried to help in the kitchen, they’d ended up with food everywhere and nothing to actually eat.
“Are… are you cooking?” Kuroo articulated carefully, holding on to the doorframe.
“He’s obviously not running a marathon,” came Tsukishima’s dry reply on his right, but Kuroo kept his eyes on Bokuto, who scrunched up his nose and crossed his arms defensively, but nodded. Stunned silence dropped as they wrapped their heads around the concept, but a few seconds in, Bokuto started to fidget, and he turned away to go run cold water on his hand. Three pairs of eyes followed him.
“What did you mean when you said you’re not finished?” Akaashi asked, just as slowly as Kuroo had, and this time, Bokuto winced. He mumbled something under his breath.
“We can’t hear anything,” Akaashi frowned.
“I mean, it’s nothing incredible, and I’m done with the pasta,“ Bokuto repeated - and if he’d been the type to blush, his face would have been bright red right about then - “but I wanted to try doing something for dessert too, but I haven’t even started yet, because the rest took me so long, so.”
He drew out the last syllab awkwardly, shut the water, and turned back toward them, shoulders slightly hunched. He looked like he didn’t know what to expect. It shouldn’t be that surprising, actually - they had forbidden him to try anything in the kitchen that involved more than a spoon after the last incident. But obviously, this time everything had gone very well, and they were all impressed, and more than that, pretty surprised.
Then Kuroo felt a wave of affection surge in him, because he was tired, and hungry, and ready for the day to be over, and Bokuto had made the effort to cook for all of them, and he loved him, he knew he loved him, but it hit him particularly strongly at that moment. He squinted and took the few steps between them, brought his hands to each of Bokuto’s cheeks and bore his eyes into his boyfriend’s, ignoring the slightly apprehensive look he was wearing.
“I love you so much right now, you have no idea,” he sighed, then promptly kissed him on the mouth.
After a moment of surprise, Bokuto enthusiastically reciprocated, and it took several long, long seconds before they parted. Kuroo exhaled, then let his head rest on Bokuto’s shoulder.
“Long day?” he asked with a smile Kuroo heard in his voice.
“He was practically sleeping on his feet on the way here,” Tsukishima supplied in his back, and even though Kuroo couldn’t see him, he was pretty sure he was smiling too, because he sounded mocking and fond in equal parts.
“I want to lie down and not get up for at least three weeks,” Kuroo mumbled in Bokuto’s shirt.
There must have been some kind of silent communication between his boyfriends, because after a few seconds of silence, he felt large hands settling on his hips and pulling him gently.
“Come on, let him finish in here,” Akaashi said softly, wrapping an arm around his waist.
“What did you want to do for dessert?” Tsukishima asked as Kuroo was being led out of the kitchen, the usual bite in his words covered by genuine curiosity.
“Remember when Keiji and I went to the Fukurodani reunion last month? Well Yukie had made this-”
Bokuto’s voice was covered by the door’s creaking, and then Kuroo was dragged and pushed down on the couch by Akaashi, almost tripping on the coffee table on his way. He almost protested at being manipulated so easily, but his eyelids were irresistibly dropping and a hand trailed lightly from his hips through his chest, until it reached his face. It lingered there, the contact comfortingly warm, until Akaashi stepped back. Kuroo opened his eyes gain as he felt the hand leave his cheek, and watched his boyfriend go back to the entrance to retrieve everything they’d left there.
His gaze followed Akaashi as he busied himself, dragging their bags next to the large table they used as a desk, set up on the other side of the room, between the couch and The Corner, and tidying the mess they’d left in the small hallway. Tsukishima and Bokuto’s voices were a soothing noise in the background. He couldn’t really make out the words, but they sounded relaxed, their conversation punctuated by Bokuto’s bright laugh here and there. Kuroo almost let himself be lulled to sleep, sinking in the pillows, but shook himself out of it. As tired as he was, he didn’t want to miss out on time with his boyfriends. He grunted and sat up, feeling half of his joints crack and pop at the movement, and grabbed the remote control to turn the television on. His ears were instantly attacked by the police sirens of some drama, and he muted the sound with a wince.
“We should let Koutarou choose,” Akaashi murmured behind him.
Kuroo almost jumped in surprise; he hadn’t even seen him come back. Then he dropped the remote with a grunt and dragged his hand on his face, trying to will his eyes to stay open.
“Yeah, we should,” he agreed before letting out a huge yawn.
Akaashi walked around the couch and plopped down between him and the armrest. Kuroo accepter the wordless invitation as Akaashi spread his arms, and he lied back down across his boyfriend’s lap, head on the armrest, Akaashi’s hands settling once again on his waist, and in his hair. This time, he let himself close his eyes and be soothed by Akaashi’s fingers, carding softly through his hair. He felt like he was floating.
He came back to the present some time later when someone grabbed his legs. He opened his eyes and lifted his head to see Tsukishima, his freshly showered hair still damp, dressed into old sweatpants and one of Akaashi’s T-shirts, letting Kuroo’s feet fall back in his own lap and leaning against the other side of the couch. Someone had dragged the coffee table closer to them and disposed plates there. The television’s sound had been turned back on, but low enough that it was little more than background noise, mixing with the faint hum Kuroo could hear coming from the kitchen.
Figured Bokuto would sing while he cooked.
It made something warm in Kuroo’s chest swell.
A little revigorated by his nap, Kuroo followed distractedly the action on the screen for a few minutes, poking Tsukishima’s side with his toe and getting pinched in return, before the door to the kitchen was pushed wide open. The three of them turned their heads toward Bokuto, who was clutching the dish so tight his fingers must have been hurting. He was chewing on his lower lip, his eyes fleeting from one of his boyfriends to another, until he took a deep breath and finally joined them, setting the pasta on the coffee table.
Kuroo had to actually get up as they helped themselves to generous portions, and did so with enough disapproving noises to get even Akaashi to push him lightly with his foot, asking him to stop. Bokuto was the first to sit back, but before he could start eating, Kuroo tugged at his sleeve. When Bokuto looked up, he smiled and leant in, pressing a light kiss to his cheek with a soft “Thanks” before sitting down too. Tsukishima followed suit, and then Akaashi, who brought a hand to Bokuto’s chin as his lips brushed his jaw.
A wobbly smile formed on Bokuto’s face, like he was trying not to show it, but he gave up and let a happy grin settle there, in the face of which Kuroo knew no matter how awful his cooking might be, they would all eat it to the last crumb. Even Tsukishima, who was usually the most vocal about what he disliked, wore a resigned - and subtly affectionate, for anybody who knew where to look - expression for a second before he shook his head and started eating.
Bokuto grabbed the remote Akaashi was offering as he told him he could choose whatever he wanted, and Kuroo sat with his legs across Akaashi’s thighs this time, feet tucked under Bokuto.
“Wow.”
Tsukishima was staring at this plate.
“What?” Bokuto asked, worry instantly coming back.
“It’s actually really good,” Tsukishima said, eyebrows raised in surprise.
Akaashi and Kuroo looked at each other, then dug in at the same time under the expectant gaze of their boyfriend.
You could taste a bit of burned off parts, which Bokuto had probably scraped out of the pan, but other than that, Tsukishima was right: it was actually really good. Kuroo nodded frantically to show he agreed. Akaashi chewed slowly, wiped a bit of sauce Kuroo had accidentally projected on his face and sucked it off his finger before giving a smile to Bokuto.
“He’s right, it’s good,” he declared, and they all saw the tension in Bokuto’s body basically evaporate as he let himself slide back between Tsukishima and Akaashi and sigh.
“Did you train or something, Kou? Because I can’t believe you went from making chocolate coal to this,” Kuroo asked, genuinely curious.
“I’m hurt that you find all this so- so extraordinary!” Bokuto retorted with a slap to Kuroo’s leg. “Just because I messed up once doesn’t mean I’m hopeless, guys.”
“Right,” Akaashi let out in the flatest tone he could manage.
None of them believed Bokuto had suddenly had a culinary illumination, but they were too hungry to try to pry the truth from him. He’d probably end up telling them anyway. Only Tsukishima kept frowning at his plate, while the others were absorbed in the kid movie Bokuto had chosen, and in their food. After several seconds of apparently intense reflection, he emitted a triumphant noise and turned to them with a grin.
“You went to ask Hinata for help, didn’t you?” he said in a tone that indicated it wasn’t really a question.
“Hinata?” Akaashi enquired, confused.
“Yeah, he’s a good cook, his mother taught both him and his little sister. And not a lot of other people would be able to keep up with Koutarou and teach him,” Tsukishima shrugged, fighting off Bokuto’s attempts at putting his hand over his mouth. “Plus, he made the same thing last time we saw each other,” he added, gesturing at his plate.
“Fine, whatever, he owes me tons of favors anyway,” Bokuto snapped, crossing his arms in defeat. “It doesn’t change the result, does it? I can cook properly. Woohoo, big news.”
“It makes everything even cuter, honestly,” Kuroo smiled, knowing it would fluster Bokuto.
“But you’re right, it’s still delicious, now can we go back to eating?” Akaashi interrupted, throwing a pointed look at Kuroo and Tsukishima in turns.
“Yeah, yeah,” Kuroo mumbled, still sending an amused smile at Bokuto.
It might have been fun to tease him more, and Kuroo finally had the energy to do just that, but he knew when to stop pushing, and Akaashi telling them to cut it so unsubtly was an obvious warning, so they did just that and cleaned their plates in only a few minutes before setting them back on the coffee table. They settled more comfortably, all snuggled up together - even Tsukishima had abandonned his position at the other end of the couch to lean against Bokuto, who hugged him closer. They became so enraptured with the movie that they only remember Bokuto’s dessert by the time Akaashi and Kuroo had stopped both crying over the end and pretending they totally weren’t.
“I’m full and really too tired,” Tsukishima complained, tugging Bokuto back in place when he looked like he was going to get up.
“Is it still gonna be good tomorrow?” Kuroo yawned.
“It should be, yeah,” Bokuto answered with a quick glance to Tsukishima, who nodded.
“I think so too.”
“I vote we go to bed, then,” Akaashi proposed.
He got up and stretched, followed by the others with various degrees of reluctance. Kuroo emitted a long whine before Tsukishima flicked him in the head and told him to stand up. He complied, grumbling all the way, and they left their dirty dishes in the sink for the next morning. They took turns brushing their teeth and changing out of their clothes, leaving Akaashi in the bathroom last so he could shower in peace. Bokuto was already in bed, and Tsukishima joined him as soon as he’d put his phone to charge. Kuroo struggled with his shirt for a minute before he finally won and disentangled it, slipping it over his head easily. He then slid on the right side of the bed; because of they way he tended to sleep - in a completely impractical, space-and-pillow consuming position - he was usually not in the middle.
They left the small bedside lamp on Tsukishima’s side on, and after a few whispers, their voices died out, silenced by the sleepiness that took over.
Kuroo was only vaguely awake when Akaashi came back. He heard him rummage through his clothes, then listened to his steps, the soft click as he turned the lamp off, the creak of the bed as he lied next to Tsukishima.
Akaashi whispered a “Good night” half muffled in Tsukishima’s neck, and Kuroo answered with a sleepy noise as he finally let himself drift off to sleep.

Haikyuu: Magic AU ft OT4 Bokuto/Kuroo/Akaashi/Tsukishima
Tumblr media
Magic AU where familiars are shapeshifters who feel a pull towards their destined bondmates. It's a huge honor to have a familiar, it makes magic stronger and is just badass.
It's also kind of rare. Not too many familiars are born anymore and if they are, there's no guarantee they'll find their bondmates.
Familiars themselves don't have magic, just the ability to shapeshift. They act as a base or maybe a support that makes their bondmates magic stronger.
Similar to demons, contracts/bonds are formed and the familiar becomes officially and magically bound to their mates
Familiars can be taken by those seeking one of their own and contracts/bonds broken but no new bond will form. The familiar either dies or gets stuck in one of their forms for the rest of their lives.
OT4 - Bokuto/Kuroo/Akaashi/Tsukishima
Tsukishima is a familiar and not very happy about it.
He'd rather have magic and is not thrilled that he will basically have masters at some point in the future.
And he should have know better really.
Magic has always been good to him. Helping him catch the wind when he flies and wrapping flowers around his feet when he walks on the earth. He should learn to trust the earth and her magic.
Because his day comes.
On a rainy, cold, fall afternoon when he's walking down the street, a small coffee in his hands and face buried in his scarf and then he's not.
He's small and light and flying his little heart out, straight through the open window of an apothecary and settling himself on the front desk in a small bundle of black feathers.
Three pairs of eyes are staring at him in shock and no one moves.
The little shop is completely quiet, warm enough that Tsukki ruffles his feather with a happy coo before settling again.
The three men hishishisthesepeoplearehis are still frozen. Barely breathing based on how silent they are.
Akaashi hesitantly coming up and running a finger down Tsukki's chest and petting the soft feathers.
Tsukki faintly listening to them try to figure out what the odds are of a random crow flying in their window vs being lucky enough to have a familiar.
He hears hope and excitement in their voices and he really doesn't want to move. He's so warm and feels settled for the first time and the little pets he's getting are so nice but he knows that they have to figure out what to do. Get to know each other.
So he gets up on his little legs and hops over to the edge before jumping off it, changing before he hits the floor and taking a moment to gather himself and settle his heart before popping his head over the top of the counter to look at the men again.
They stare at him for a moment before Kuroo lets out a strangled noise that's barely heard over Bokuto's ohmygod and Akaashi's pleased hum.
Tsukki doesn't appreciate feeling so on display, doesn't like that he cares that they might not like him.
That they might not want him.
He aches for Yamaguchi in a way he hasn't in a long time, wishing for the steady comfort of his best friend next to him.
But mama didn't raise a bitch.
So he gathers himself and goes to officially meet his bondmates.
The shop already seems brighter and happy magic makes the flowers on the shelves bloom and the shadows from the candles dance on the wall to celebrate the occasion. The building settles around them like it let out a breath it had been holding in and the window Tsukki came in gently slides closed.
And it's cold and rainy outside but they all feel warm.

Haikyuu: A/B/O AU finding mates ft multiple pairings
Tumblr media
I love the idea of an A/B/O AU where you find your mate because when the omega presents they just instinctively track down their mate(s). Maybe they kind of black out or it's like being drunk and they only remember bits and pieces.
Instead of presentation happening when they're young, it's usually when they're older, an evolutionary advantage due to the fact that sometimes they have to travel far to find someone. Being older offers more success in their journey.
The process wouldn't be sexual really, more of a situation where the body is undergoing a large amount of stress and instinct demands they find somewhere safe.
They don't develop their scents until they present and while they might not have actually presented, most people know their dynamics pretty early on in childhood. Mates are usually someone close, also something most people seem to have a feeling for, however it can also be someone you've never met.
I like the idea of it being more of a hurt/comfort take on it rather than the traditional approach.
That kind of stress would be hard on the body, aches and pains are common and it's basically just a few days of cuddles and getting close. The omega kind of sleepy and hazy the first day or so, PMS might be a good comparison.
It's common for omegas to end up in the bedrooms of their mates, because that's usually considered the den and smells the strongest of mate(s). Plus all the soft items to nest and cuddle with.
I just really love the idea of the alpha(s) coming home and the omega has set up camp in their bedroom like hey I'm your life partner what's up please get me a chocolate bar I feel like I'm dying.
Mattsun/Makki
Mattsun unlocking his door and barely catching a shoe whipped at his head.
Makki sitting in a blanket fort, watching shitty TV with faint scent of weed hanging around.
A smirk on his face as he says congratulations to Mattsun because he knows they both hoped but they didnt know for sure... and he's a little shit.
But Makki smells good. It's like caramel, a pain to make and get out of the wrapper but so sweet once on the tongue.
He throws the shoe back at Makki and ignores the squawk out rage as he shuts the door behind him and happiness takes root in him.
Sakusa/Atsumu
Sakusa coming home to the extreme displeasure of someone being in his home. His skin crawls because he can guess it's Atsumu but he doesn't know and he still doesn't want that idiot in here messing with stuff and touching everything. Someone is going to die if this is some prank.
But the apartment is quiet, worryingly so, and Sakusa sets off to find Atsumu.
And he does.
Buried in a pile of blankets and passed out with only a little bit of his hair sticking out of the top.
And the room smells like citrus and fresh pine. Like a christmas tree wrapped in dried oranges on twine and it smells so clean and pure. Nothing like the sticky, sweet scent most omegas have and something deep in Sakusa relaxes for the first time in years.
Something possessive and happy and oh my god he think he might actually be excited about this.
OT4 (Bokuto/Kuroo/Akaashi/Tsukishima)
Bokuto, Kuroo, and Akaashi all coming home from shopping to find their door unlocked. Pausing because they know they locked it but before they can get too far into it Akaashi reminds them about Tsukki having a key. And happiness blooms in all three of them because Tsukki! They didn't know he was coming to visit!
And hope builds in them as they can't find him in the apartment and all stare at their bedroom door because maybe he's in there. Maybe this is it.
Tsukki in the corner of the room in a mess of pillows and blankets, leaned back against the wall reading a book. Long limbs wrapped up in an oversized pair of sweats and a t shirt that drapes off him. He smells like them but also so sweet. Like strawberries and cake, soft and delicate but still sweet enough to make your cheeks tingle.
And he looks up with his usual unimpressed face but there's cautious hope in his eyes and the start of a very pretty blush on his cheeks and they know he's nervous about their reactions. He doesn't know that they hoped for this though, spent time discussing it, and trying to figure out what to do if the universe decided to be cruel enough to keep Tsukki away from them.
Bokuto letting out a large hoot and basically jumping on Tsukki, who immediately fuzzes up like a pissed off cat and starts smacking at him. Kuroo is right behind him though and Tsukki is pinned under the two aggressive cuddlers before he even knows it, making pleading eyes at Akaashi who just smiles because how can he not and honestly fuck it.. He wiggles his way into the cuddle pile and enjoys every minute of it.
Hinata/Kageyama
Hinata waking up on a rest day and finally rolling out of bed only to pause because Kageyama is wrapped up in a few blanket on his couch. He knows that Kageyama wasn't there last night, he's pretty sure anyway.
The lump moves enough to shift the blankets though and the scent of cream and vanilla fills the room. It reminds him of melted ice cream in the summer and licking it off fingers as it melted. It's such a Kageyama scent that Hinata can't help but laugh. Sleepy blue eyes open to glare at him but he only scowls a little when Hinata somehow manages to twist himself into the blankets with him. They both doze off with the brief thought of maybe getting ice cream later.
Iwaizumi/Oikawa
Oikawa bursting into tears when Iwaizumi gets to his bedroom, ignoring the man's slightly wild eyed look as he babbles about how he couldn't help himself. An alien plushie in one arm and Iwaizumi's pillow in the other. The blankets a rumbled mess on the bed with him.
Iwaizumi ignores him for a minute because he realizes he can smell the ocean. Salt and sunshine, like standing on the coast in the summer.
This is a surprise, but everything in Iwaizumi practically purrs its satisfaction at the situation and he wonders how they never thought they might end up here in the end.
It's quiet and Oikawa is silent, red eyes and eyelashes clumped together, snot and tears everywhere. He looks ridiculous and Iwaizumi tells him so. There's immediate choas as Oikawa screeches at him Iwa-chan how dare you I look amazing! They both know it's his way of telling Oikawa this is good, that they'll be good.
There tears are long gone by the time Iwaizumi climbs into bed with Oikawa, laughing at the pout on his face and kissing it away.

Haikyuu: Alpha/beta/omega with OT4 (Bokuto/Kuroo/Akaashi/Tsukishima)
Tumblr media
Omega Tsukki having had an altercation with a group of alphas that left him with some nasty scarring that tore into his scent gland/bond mark. Not only was this super painful, and made him very twitchy around most alpha, but it also left a nasty mark that will probably keep him from having a successful mating bond.
It's honestly a mess of white lines and raised skin and goes up one side of his neck and down to his collarbone. He doesn't think they originally meant to cause so much damage, this was unacceptable behavior even from criminals. To mark someone, especially omegas, on their scent glands/bond mark was unthinkable. But he moved and they moved and claws are so sharp and it hurt so much. All he remembers is pain and blood and so much noise.
It makes a lot of people super uncomfortable, his scar. Their instincts just scream that it's not right. That Tsukki isn't right. His scent is affected because of it, people touch their fingers to their own throats and wince when they see it, and it's going to make bonding hard because of the scar tissue. It's just not right and they stay away because of it. Like a wounded or sick animal being left by his pack.
But Tsukki meets Kuroo, Akaashi, and Bokuto who all love Tsukki immediately.
He's beautiful and smart and funny and badass and they're just in love, okay? And someone hurt him and they couldn't help, didn't even know him at the time. All of the sudden they get the whole protective, wrathful alpha stereotype because they're feeling it.
Tsukki being reluctant and skittish because alphas still scare him (even though he'd never admit it. Ever). Sometimes they just move too quick and he pulls his shoulders up to help cover his neck before he's aware of it or bares small, sharp canines when they raise their voices at each other in excitement.
But these 3 idiots win Tsukki over, because of course they do.
And all of the sudden Bokuto isn't registering as a threat when he gets into Tsukki's personal space too quickly when he's excited. And Akaashi's way of silently doing things isn't giving him anxious feelings of impending violence or surprise attacks. And Kuroo's hand on his back isn't just claws waiting to dig in and rip at his skin again.
And Tsukki finally let's out the breathe he's been holding in since this happened and oh. Maybe his scent wasn't quite as messed up from the scar as he thought, maybe he was causing the problem himself. Because his scent blooms off his skin like small white flowers at his pulse points and throat again. Not as sweet as most omegas smell but soft like dew on the garden in the morning and slightly sweet like strawberries warm from the sun and fresh off the vine.
They'd be fine just doing what they can, since they couldn't officially claim Tsukki with it hurting due to the scar, but I like the idea of Tsukki just saying fuck it, just do it. I want this.
Even though it's going to hurt like a bitch and wouldn't be as nicely shown off as a normal mating bond would be, it would still take and connect them like actual mates. Their mark would be over the old one. Reclaimed skin and a reclaimed life.
And maybe he's always a little nervous when people get too close to his throat or get aggressive towards him, but he doesn't have to flinch back anymore. Because he's got three protective mates to back him up and if he backs off, they'll step in happily. One of them is always ready to press a hand against their mating mark if needed, a reminder that it's there and a very soft show of protection.
*You know that they would be the kind of boyfriends to hang back and yell shit like "kick his ass, baby!" whenever someone bothered him tho.

Haikyuu: Yakuza au ft OT4 (Bokuto/Kuroo/Akaashi/Tsukishima) or any breakdown of that pairing
Tumblr media
I would love to see a slight twist on the traditional yakuza fics. One where the enforcers go to rough up someone for the money they owe and threaten to take their partner as compensation. Except instead scading them into paying, they just give their partner the yakuza instead. They dont know what to do now and the person has obviously not been taken care off. Cue the choas.
There would be so many awesome opportunities to make this super dark and intense.
OT4 - or any breakdown of that pairing
Bokuto, Akaashi, and Kuroo being the heads of a Yakuza group or maybe just having an alliance.
And someone owes them a lot of money. Bokuto and kuroo are too busy to go personally but they send Akaashi to go mess with the guy.
The guy is a huge asshole. A waste of time and space and just truely a horrible guy, even by their standards. Honestly, they should really just end him out of respect for humanity but they want their money first.
Akaashi is smart, observant, and makes people nervous. He should be able to tell if the guy is screwing them over even more or what he might be up to. Plus if either Bokuto or Kuroo have to go personally visit this guy than it's going to get very, very ugly.
They know where the guy is at, they keep an eye on him constantly even though he might think he's outsmarted them and the look on his face when he opens the door to Akaashi is priceless.
He know what they're here for, and like anyone who owes the yakuza a lot of money, he claims he doesn't have it and needs more time. Now, there's a lot of things Akaashi could do but he has to do something. Bokuto and Kuroo won't be please if he comes back completely empty handed.
And the perfect opportunity arises.
He sees someone peek out from one of the rooms behind the guy and immediately goes with the assumption that this is the guys boyfriend.
So, either the guy pays or they take the boyfriend.
However, this fucking dude is fine with that. He doesn't even hesitate as he goes to get Tsukki, drags him out just to basically toss him at Akaashi, and wipes his hands clean of the matter.
Obviously not what Akaashi was planning for but the blond is a mess. All bones and bruised skin and wild golden eyes that are looking at him in shock.
The yakuza life might have squished most of the kindness and compassion out of Akaashi but he does feel a little pang when he thinks about how betrayed the man must feel. Judging from Tsukki's messy appearance though this might be a blessing.
Maybe Akaashi deals with the dude, leaves him alone for the time being, or calls them even. Whatever he decides, Tsukki is stuck with Akaashi while he takes him back to meet up with Kuroo and Bokuto. Let them figure out what they want to do with this guy.
Tsukki is handed off to someone to go get cleaned up and fed something. He might be worth something for information on the guy and his activities, so they'll keep him for now.
Kuroo and Bokuto get updated on the situation and aren't super thrilled about some skinny, worthless nobody now stuck in their care.
Expect Tsukki is pretty when he's cleaned up. And a smartass.
He meets them all and immediately goes off, apparently having found his voice after having some time to process everything.
And fine, they're a little charmed.
Pretty things that can rip into someone and drag out all the vulnerable parts are their type.
And Tsukki is ruthless.
Tsukki is also out for blood. The guy who had him is fucking with them, taking even more money and working with people against Bokuto and Kuroo. And Tsukki can prove it.
Maybe Tsukki ends up with Kuroo while Bokuto and Akaashi are just very close friends. Maybe it ends up as OT4. I just want the four of them all tangled up together somehow because they could take over the world.
I like that idea of Tsukki being wrathful and bloodthirsty with the other three following him around with hearts for eyes.

Haikyuu: Touch ft multiple pairings and/or friendships
Tumblr media
I think the average person probably doesn't get very much human contact in their day to day life especially because covid but even before that.
There are numerous studies that discuss the positive and negative effects touch can have on humans.
A lack of pleasant and consenting touch can make depression and anxiety worse, cause fatigue, muscle tension, etc.
Getting enough human contact helps relax the vagus nerve and releases oxytocin. It lowers blood pressure, slows heart rate, etc.
Human contact is so important, so necessary, and so beautiful.
Sakusa/Atsumu
Everyone thinks of Atsumu as kind of a player and asshole but he's actually like incredibly soft and hesitant.
Sakusa kissing him for the first time and expecting some cocky smile and grabby hands when he pulls away but Atsumu just blushes the prettiest shade of pink and presses him face to Sakusa's neck in embarrassment. Skin breaking out in goosebumps everything time Sakusa touches him and clinging to him more than Atsumu will ever admit.
Tsukki/Kuroo/Bokuto/Akaashi
Tsukki brushing off every attempt made at getting to closer to him until they finally manage to get a reaction other than indifference.
Tsukki rolling his eyes when Kuroo tries to hit on him but cheeks flushing when the older male presses against his back to show him something.
Bokuto being discouraged when all his compliments for Tsukki are brushed off but catching on to the fact that Tsukki never fights it when Bokuto hugs him so hard he lifts him off the ground.
Akaashi having caught on to this duh and instead of wasting time with words, simply makes sure to touch Tsukki whenever he can.
Kageyama
I haven't thought of a scenario I like with him yet but you can not tell me that this kid wasn't starved for affection in middle school and even through high school to a degree.
I'm also a fan of throwing him with Oikawa/Iwaizumi or Kindaichi/Kunimi just because the hurt/comfort potential is so amazing.
●●●●●
You could do this with so many characters though.
I picked Atsumu because I think his reputation could cause people to avoid touching him, his attitude might be off putting, or they prefer Osamu. Ouch
I picked Tsukki because I feel like he would have started out not letting people touch him because he was annoyed but now he doesn't know how to approach it when he does want to be touched.
Kageyama because that boy is a whole ass book of issues - abandonment, self doubt, touch starved and a whole fuck ton of other mental issues waiting to happen. Someone love him like he deserves.
