Sommer, Sonne, Sensus!

Während viele zurzeit den Sommerurlaub genießen oder auf Festivals unterwegs sind, wollen wir am 02.08.24 wieder eine unvergessliche Sensus mit euch feiern.

Unser Credo bleibt natürlich unverändert: "Cum as you are - feel fabulous", also kramt eure heißesten Sommer-Outfits raus und ab ins Forum mit euch! Dieses Mal klappen wir die Sonnenliegen aus und bereiten euch Cocktails vor, um diese sinnliche Sommer Soirée zu etwas ganz besonderem zu machen.

Die Sensus feiert eine positive Einstellung zur Sinnlichkeit, Vielfalt und Offenheit. Egal ob ihr schon Erfahrung mit sinnlichen Partys habt oder neugierig seid, bei uns finden alle einen Platz - egal welches Geschlecht, welche sexuelle Ausrichtung oder Identität. Verbringt mit uns gemeinsam eine unvergessliche Nacht - ob ihr nur zum Tanzen kommt, oder alle Möglichkeiten unserer Räume auskosten wollt. Vieles ist möglich, solange Konsens besteht!

Wir verlagern für unsere Sommer-Sensus die Chill-Area nach draußen und verkleinern dafür etwas den Innenbereich. Das hat zur Folge, dass wir dieses Mal nur einen Darkroom, der für alle nutzbar sein wird, zur Verfügung haben. Auch bei dieser Sensus variieren wir mit unserem Interieur und der Raumgestaltung  - es gibt also wieder viel Neues zu entdecken!

Wie gewohnt bewegen wir uns auch dieses Mal irgendwo zwischen House und Techno, haben für euch aber natürlich wieder eine absolute Besonderheit aus dem Hut gezaubert: Wem mitten im Hochsommer noch nicht heiß genug ist, dem wird von Niebla ordentlich eingeheizt. Residentin im Video Club in Bogota und schon auf vielen Stages dieser Welt unterwegs gewesen, weiß sie genau wie sie euch noch mehr zum Schwitzen bringt. Support gibt es von Glue Guy und DNF, die lokal und teils auch deutschlandweit bekannt sind.

Um 20 Uhr startet vorher wieder eine kostenlose Ausstellung, die lokalen Künstler*innen eine Plattform bietet. Deko & Mapping by Himbaer.

Summer, Sun, Sensus!

While many are currently enjoying their summer vacation or are out and about at festivals, we want to celebrate an unforgettable Sensus with you on 02.08.24.

Our credo remains: "Cum as you are - feel fabulous", so put on your hottest outfits and join us in the forum! This time we're unfolding the sun loungers and preparing cocktails to make this sensual summer soirée something very special.

Sensus celebrates a positive attitude towards sensuality, diversity and openness. Whether you already have experience with sensual parties or are curious, there is a place for everyone here - regardless of gender, sexual orientation or identity. Spend an unforgettable night with us - whether you just come to dance or want to enjoy all the possibilities of our rooms. Many things are possible as long as there is consent!

This time we are moving the chill area outside and reducing the size of the indoor area. As a result, we will only have one darkroom available for everyone to use. As always, we will of course be changing the interior - so as usual, there will be plenty of new things to discover!

As always, we're moving somewhere between house and techno, but of course we've got up a specialty for you: For those who don't find the summer heat intense enough, Niebla will turn up the temperature. As a resident at the Video Club in Bogotá and having performed on many stages around the world, she knows exactly how to make you sweat even more. Support will come from Glue Guy and DNF, who are known locally and throughout Germany.

As always, a free exhibition offering local artists a platform starts at 8 pm beforehand. Decoration & mapping by Himbaer.

Dario Mohr in Bogota, Day 6

I started out the day at the Botanical Garden for a Nature Therapy Workshop, and then wandered around the lake and did some journaling. Then I went to a break dance class by Mt. Monserrate but learned it was cancelled when I arrived, so I walked through the town where there was a little outdoor market, and picked up some Big Butt Ants and 3 variations of Gelatina de Pata (an animal gelatin desert).

After that I explored an outdoor market I discovered and got on a bike and road to the gym at Avenida Chile Mall and then went home to get ready for the Orion: Mi Orgullo Stone Wall Inn commemorative banquet at Universidad Distrital Francisco Jose de Caldas. It included a dinner, and live performances from drag queens, a traditional indigenous dance troop, and a couple vocalists.

This wasn't part of the itinerary but I went to Theatron night club later on that had a pride event. Its the largest dance club in Latin America (spanning 2 continents) and is in walking distance from my Airbnb. It has 19 different rooms including a rooftop and courtyard, each with a DJ stage and its own bar inside. Every room had its own theme. There was a techno room, reggaeton room, pop, grunge and new metal (started a mosh pit in that one) and other latin genres as well so I bounced between them all and got home around 5 am.

BOGOTA DAY 4 7.11.23

Woke up at 5:45 to prep for the day, and first activity Smash Boxing! I went to the 8am class and it was so intense and kicked my ass. A darkly lit room with mirrors, blue neon lights and a padded floor with big punching sacks the shape of tear drops hanging from metal chains --pump up techno and pop music--Cardio warmups and then different punching routines interspersed with pushups and jumping jacks--wow so much physical exertion--In the beginning, once again overcome with a lot of emotions of trying something new, being both excited that I was there but also out of my comfort zone--a great way to sweat and channel feelings--the instructor was very nice, and there were three other people in the class who seemed to be regulars.

In the afternoon I traveled about an hour south by tram--to the Gabriel García Márquez El Tunal Public Library--which sits within a beautiful park, open green space---to go to a "Lets Build workshop" introduction to carpentry class that took place inside a makers room in the library with a small wood shop and lazier cutter and various tools and materials. The class was inter-generational and we all took turns using a jig saw to cut wood to make the beginnings of a planter —very warm, convivial , congenial environment--despite the language barrier I was still able to participate and engage--fun to understand through context, visual aides, gesture/body language etc.

After I was Invited by one of the older women and a younger man, to come back and on Wednesday to a film club where there is a language learning component. Had to explain that I had all sorts of programming already scheduled for me, but would see!

Then went back north to Gringo Tuesday's at a bar--that hots language exchange--there was a long line to get in and I was pretty exhausted but went and ended up sitting at a table for basic english speakers, talking to a policeman, a nurse and a social worker, all interesting and very nice.
