I know we’re distant but
I can hear you, you know?
Every time you put me down to others
& point out all the things
you would change if you could
You try and dress me up with things you buy
Hoping they will erase the times you make me feel bad
You never let me breath
You say you forget
or you’re “too busy”
But what about me?
What about all the things I do for you?
What about all the things you put me through?
All the times I didn’t bail on you when I should of
You pretend to like me most of the time
But we both know how you really feel
I know you better than anyone
And yet you treat me like a stranger
Why?
Why do you act like I’m not apart of you?
Without me you’d be nothing, I’m your body
So tell me,
Why don't you want me?

Bumps & Dimples
The bumps and the pimples,
The marks and the dimples,
This is mostly what I see,
In that mirror looking back at me,
But my outside isn’t all there is to see,
Inside is also an important part of me,
All those feelings, thoughts, beliefs and dreams,
Shining out of me like radiant sun beams,
I have a heart,, 2 lungs, many bones and a brain,
They keep me living, they are not vain,
In fact, for most of us they look the same,
So don’t we only have ourselves to blame?
When we look in that mirror and see those flaws,
And not all the positive features that deserve an applause,
I pledge from this moment on that I will see,
Someone beautiful and unique looking back at me,
And not judge those tiny bumps and pimples,
Or those little marks and dimples.
