Greet the guests! So far, the only guest you're actually greeting is Elewen. But Arthur, Guinevere, Merlin and the others are on their way! How does Mordred feel in anticipation of finally meeting the Royal Sorcerer? 👀

And also, edits, edits edits!

One of them is very relevant in order to get the right text/choices during a little convo you can have with Elaine while waiting for the guests to arrive.

Added a new variable in Mordred's chamber scene with Elaine; it keeps track of your romantic status with her, so it's very important to replay through it again, otherwise you'll receive her platonic scenes

I think it mentioned in a previous update that Mordred also keeps in touch with Guinevere if they're close to Arthur. In chapter 4, we find that Guin regrets missing Mordred's birthday party due to a spell of illness. Additionally, Guinevere knows about Arthur being their father, the prophecy and everything else. This info has been added in chapter 3, where Guin is mentioned alongside Kay in Arthur's POV. And if you choose to spend time with Arthur by the river, either to bond or find out more about your Pendragon powers, Mordred gets a chance to ask him if Guinevere knows.

Some changes to dragon lore I teased a while ago. It's kind of a long rant, so I'll be going into it in a different post. (you can also find details on the update post on Patreon/Kofi)

Mile - Music Project

BOC just posted this:

It's a song by Stamp Apiwat, who sings and presumedly wrote the lyrics. Mile with him in the past:

So what is Mile's part? He will most likely star in the MV. But I personally guess that's not all, seeing that BOC Music icon at the corner. I think he either played the guitar as well, which is quite prominent in the later half of the song and/or he is the head behind a new music label by BOC.

Update: BOC was the copyright of music and song recording, so it's not about the MV only.

Yesterday, Apo uploaded a lot of older pics. You've probably seen this beautiful Mileapo pic already:

This is from Oct 5, 2021. The BOC cast went on several days of vacation together in Hua Hin (here's a link to the vlog they made about it, with English subs). These are some of the other pics from that cafe, starting with a pic of Mile that Apo took:

You probably also know that Mile and Apo shared a room during that trip. Here are pics they took of each other in their hotel room:

I think something a lot of people don't realize is that this cafe, which has sadly since closed, is actually not in Hua Hin. It's about 2 hours from Bangkok and 1 hour away from Hua Hin, which means it's on the way there. In other words, despite knowing they're about to spend a lot of time rooming together during this upcoming trip, Mile and Apo also chose to drive to Apo's hometown together. How lovely is that?

For completion's sake, Mile re-shared Apo's couple pic:

On Oct 6, Apo was visiting his parents. While we can't know for sure, I like thinking that he took Mile with him.

New updates on MileApo and Man Suang

Today it's been announced (with a new pic) that Mileapo’s interview in Paris will be released at the end of the month! 😍

Yesterday a big group of fans started a campaign to “protect” Apo because they think he’s being mistreated by BOC since the only poster to appear outside of movie theaters was the Mile-centered one.

They flooded the IG accounts of Man Suang but also SF cinema and Major Group with angry statements. The DISASTER they caused looked like this:

It turns out that the panels outside of the movie theaters are supposed to change every day. Today, in fact, it's the turn of Apo-centered poster.

As a result of all this unnecessary drama, Apo deleted all his IG stories where he was enthusiastically promoting the movie and today he has been offline all day :(

The public demo has just been updated with the entirety of chapter 4, wherein Mordred:

Has squire training and lessons

Visits the Lady of the Lake Temple in town

Pets a kitty!

Reads correspondence, if they have any

Celebrates their twelfth birthday!

Defiinitely doesn't receive any shocking revelations

Besides that, we have some changes made to earlier chapters:

Morgana's POV in chapter 3, after the talk in the study concerning Arthur and the prophecy; mostly just rephrasing and polishing but it's worth giving a re-read

In the prologue, when Morgana suggests that Mordred will be killed if taken away from her - and it passed as an accident - and heavily implies Merlin would have came up with the idea, Arthur is horrified that she'd think so; Merlin never mentioned such a thing and he doesn't believe the man capable of it.

In chapter 1, when Junia shows Mordred the portrait of Guinevere, she no longer refers to Guin fighting against rebels attacking her home since a) there's no reason for the rebels to do so, b) Guin wouldn't have the constitution to fight. Instead, she's helped ward off some dragon hunters trying to sneak into the Continent by their seaside castle in a far shrewder and less physically demanding way: by making explosives!

Note: I highly recommend starting a new game since there's an issue with old saves that prevents a lot of interaction scenes from showing (the ones during the birthday party and the following day)

A BL/GL Podcast (and YouTube Channel) Recommendation

I don't know these two personally and have never talked to either of them outside of a couple of comments on Billy's YouTube channel, but if you like BLs and GLs and enjoy podcasts on top of that, please check this one out. They work so hard on it, consistently update, and it honestly feels like spending time with friends whenever I put them on in the car, making long car rides less lonely. There are shows I plan on watching simply because they have covered them on the podcast and I want to listen to those episodes without being spoiled. Most of the shows they break down extensively, often dedicating an hour or more to each episode. They share their thoughts, theories, and have a great, friendly banter, even when they completely disagree. They usually have fun after shoes where they discuss favorite and least favorite characters, play games, talk about ships, etc. I feel like they put so much effort into the show and don't get enough love due to currently having a small audience.

They started with KinnPorsche (I suggest checking out Billy's YouTube reactions out if you are into reaction videos. He takes episode 14 HARD). They have also covered To My Star 2, Love in the Air, 23.5, Only Friends, Sense 8, Pit Babe, Moonlight Chicken, and a lot more. I believe Love in the Air is one long episode, but the rest are broken down per episode, which gives listeners a lot of material to fill their time with on their commutes.

As for Billy's YouTube Channel, he reacts to a lot of different BL and GL series, some they haven't yet covered on the podcast. He also reacts to animated series and uploads gaming sessions from his Twitch.

Since most follow me for KinnPorsche related things, I will share his KinnPorsche playlist here, which has each episode reaction as well as BOC video upload reactions. Check out his profile and click on playlists for other shows. He organizes it all very well, so all the playlists are compiled by show.

Note: Both the podcast and the YouTube channel are in English. I believe both are American. I'm not sure of how accurate closed captioning auto-translations might be when it comes to other languages.

Anyway, I see love for fics and fanart, but podcasting and editing reactions are also fantastic contributions to the fandom and these two provide SO much material. So if you could, check them out and follow. They really put so much work into what they are doing.

Ren's Meta / Rant List :: KPTS / Kimchay

I've had a number of requests from people to put all my metas and rants onto one place for better reading and access, so here you go! I'll update as I go, but for those who'd been asking me, thank you for your patience!

Since I've read the fan translation of the novel, my rants usually tend to center on the differences and changes from book -> show (with a hyperfocus on Kimchay, cuz they're my fave). This serves as a way to better highlight my own understanding of the story, as well as to speculate on BOC's intent with their changes. I personally think it's important, since the authors themselves-no matter one's own opinions on how problematic they are-were heavily involved in the production of the show (at least from the limited BTS footage available online).

Having said this, I'm not here to to tell people what they can and can't do with these fictional characters, and this should already go without saying. This is fandom, you're more than welcome to play with these mafia dolls however you like, and I shall do so as well.

Please don't take these rants/metas as self-appointed gospel for the show, these are just my opinions and thoughts, and in no way are they intended to attack anyone else's opinions and views, no matter how they may come off.

Y'all are also welcome to read the book and draw your own conclusions, and you wouldn't get any judgement from me!

Please don't argue with me about your headcanons and whatnot, since arguing with people online just gives me anxiety. Lol Headcanons are just headcanons and may not always be universally shared, so please treat them as such.

MileApo - Of clothes and LDR

Yesterday Apo wore the green shirt from Decorum, that we saw in Paris already.

Mile has the same kind in a different color and wore it when he was with Mama Rom in - guess what - Japan.

Mile on the other hand was at a wedding yesterday (Pond mentioned in yesterday's live that Mile couldn't come with them not only bc he was busy rehearsing for the BOC Countdown Party, but that he had a family appointment. He probably meant this wedding. Update: Seems like the family appointment is the gathering that is happening today.) And he wore this:

People instantly recognized the jacket/blazer from the time both of them went shopping at the Dior store in Siam Paragon. (The same time a fan spotted them and Apo hid behind a pillar.)

Today both of them shared what they eat/drink at the same time 🥺
