I get you though, Ram is quite an intimidating character to write because of the way he communicates - personally I find it slightly easier to write from Ram's pov than King's, because then you're able to give an insight into his thoughts and thought processes without having to rely on his dialogue and King's ability to interpret his body language (which canonically is very good! but not always easy to write lmao)

Give me merch, BoC!

Before I freak out about colors in episode three of 4 Minutes, just know that if this was a time-traveling show on GMMTV, the cats in the claw machine would've been merch yesterday!

BoC, why don't you want our money?!

But even without making them merch, these cats made my day!

And it's all because Great gave Tyme the white one.

Tyme is color-coded black and Great is color-coded white.

So each cat represents them in this time-shifting story, and Great gave himself to Tyme by giving him the white cat.

And strangely enough, these color-coded boys won several cats which is a successful date, but also something something about several versions of themselves existing within the story . . .

But what really makes me happy is each cat has a heart in the other color on its side, so when held together, those heart patches form a dual-colored heart!

And although I think Tyme approached Great because he wanted information on Great's family, the boys got hit with a tiny blinding light of love right before they were supposed to kiss.

And Tyme did expose himself to Great instead of fighting him even though he could have easily overpowered Great, which is something we saw when Tyme fought Title.

Because this story is really about the gray area everyone is existing in.

When Win showed up the first time, Tonkla was guarded with a boundary firmly planted between them and Win was light.

But this episode, Tonkla removed his barrier, and let Win in, but Win, in his dark colors, definitely crossed a line he shouldn't have.

Win is a good guy.

And so is Korn.

But circumstances and choices change people.

And even the best people are capable of doing bad.

So it's interesting that Tyme has been positioned in black from the beginning even though he is a doctor.

And Great is positioned as white even though we have seen him run away from doing what's right several times.

Yet when Tyme went to ask Great out and Great confessed to seeing the future, Tyme was in gray as he shifts between the two colors.

Great's interactions with Tyme advance the clock a minute closer to 11:04 from 11:00, but the number four is special, as many people have pointed out because it represents death.

And Great keeps getting closer and closer.

So him throwing down his phone causing the number four ball to roll into the pocket was perhaps telling that it's not all Tyme moving the clock, but just like Win and Korn and their colors, Great's choices are moving the clock and impacting his life.

Doctors save lives, but we have been shown through the woman who tried to die by suicide and the patient this episode in Bed #4, that doctors also need to know when to listen and end a patient's suffering.

(Spare Me Your Mercy, I'm so ready for you and your color-coded boys in love to give us a story about these specific ethics! I'm going to watch you so hard!)

Tyme continues to say he isn't a doctor but a surgeon. Tyme doesn't listen to his patients, which is why Den is upset at him. And Tyme isn't listening to Great because if he was he'd hear exactly what is being said - "these symptoms happened when [the] heart stopped"

Tyme needs Great to remind him, that regardless of the past, it's important to listen and care, and Great needs Tyme to listen to his sad rich boy stories. They need each other to save each other. Triage, is that you homie in a trench coat and mustache glasses?!

But more importantly, they need each other to save each other's hearts! Great needs Tyme to literally save his life by saving his heart, but Tyme was hardening his heart. He had stated several times that he is in his career for the money, but Great reminded Tyme that money was irrelevant if the love was missing with his story of a 1,000 baht toy. They have both good and bad in them, but they need the other color-coded person to be complete. They need the other person to live.

Since I still believe Tyme is the one having cardiac arrest in the first episode, if one of them actually gives up his heart to save the other, I'm gonna be unwell about it.

Random Thoughts:

The friend calling Tyme a "pale guy, very handsome, and kinda brooding" hit me personally because I call characters who are black color-coded Black Brooders and Tyme is the Black Brooder in this story.

Great seeing the message on the tea cup change from "Don't forget to get your wound checked at the hospital" to "Can you forgive me, Great?" has me thinking this won't just be about Tyme trying to get dirt on Great's family and Great being upset about. That question feels heavier. That question feels like both their lives are changed by Tyme.

The female patient who experiences the same symptoms as Great was wearing white and black when she was being interviewed, but when Great envisioned a woman on the bed, red lights were flashing, like they were meeting while coding.

The way the red reflects on Great's shirt in the car makes it look like a heart on his sleeve when he looks at Tyme.

People that are complaining about BOC producing both high quality and high heat, don't seem to understand what's paying for the quality.

There's a vast ocean of sexless BL out there where the best you're going to get is a single kiss at the end of the season between two twinks so tense their back muscles have a 70 pound draw. The sponsors that shit drew in was Podcast tier. Why?

Because people are lying when they say they read Playboy for the articles. Sponsors like Maserati entered the scene when we started getting full penetration and not a moment sooner.

You know what the puriteens got us? Powdered coffee and soap sponsorships. I don't understand why studios ever cared to listen to them in the first place. I think about 50% of them are just talking out of their ass to hide the fact they're watching QL dramas for the whore shit, same as the rest of us.

Hot Take: Be On Cloud and Sammon out GMMTV-ed GMMTV with that lame-ass 4 Minutes finale

This is not the central thesis of this post at all, but I need to get this off my chest, FIRST OF AWL: GET AN ORIGINAL OST. WOW.

LIKE, ACTUALLY, I want to not get into this, but I actually need to talk about this for a second. ICONIC OSTs like, SAY, "Why Don't You Stay" or "Just Friend" (OR THE DARK BLUE KISS THEME SONG, THE BEST ONE) are meant to invoke THE SHOW FROM WHICH THAT SONG HAILS, AND THE FEELINGS THAT THAT PARTICULAR SHOW MADE ONE FEEL. WHAT THE FUCK WAS 4 MINUTES THINKING?! THIS SHOW WAS NOT KINNPORSCHE. NOT AT ALL. I FELT NO KP FROM 4 MINUTES. I hope Jeff Satur sues BOC for copyright infringement. ANYWAY.

I mean, this is gonna be messy, but in yet another case of shippy roooooomance, a kind of rooooomance that's supposed to leave us feeling like the central couple is worth redeeming against both the obstacles that the story gives them, AND/OR a weak script as well (I wrote about this recently during a rewatch of The Eclipse), I mean, BOC and Sammon just threw an otherwise really amazing storyline to the dogs.

We were supposed to get a lot of moral and ethical loops closed here. I would have been okay with a Ton Kla redemption! I would have been okay with Korn living the rest of his life in pain and suffering for neglecting Ton Kla! Instead, they're both "redeemed" by their own deaths?! I get Win being upset, but Win, you knew who you were sleeping with! Come awn!

AND. I'm supposed to believe that Great is worth redemption because he threw a corrupt government minister under the bus and prevented his parents from coming back to Thailand, while we see him walking away from a woman having a heart attack???? Like, THAT'S NOT GOOD!!!! He's had a messy life, but he's not necessarily a good person, folks!!! HELLO!!! "He's a good person?!" TYME?? Like, Great's hot, BUT LIKE, DON'T BE LIKE THAT, TYME, GURL, ACTUALLY LOOK THRU AT WHO YOU'RE DATING.

ALSO, TYME, HIPPOCRATIC OATH, DUDE. I KNOW YOU WANT THAT GUY DEAD, AND HE DESERVES BAD THINGS, BUT YOU CAN'T MAIM HIM PURPOSELY, HOMEY, YOU'RE ABOUT TO BECOME A PROFESSOR.

And LIKE, WHAT THE FUCK, putting a whole new story point about Warit's kidnapping from some dude named Wanchai who we don't even know, and finding out that Warit is a general?!?! It was JUST CONFUSING.

Also, Den dating a patient. I know medical ethics are probably different in Thailand, but they cannot be THAT DIFFERENT, friends, they can't (right? right?).

And. Finally. TYME GOT SHOT MULTIPLE TIMES IN THE CHEST AREA. He survived after two months of recovery?! HE SURVIVED POINT-BLANK SHOOTING?!?!?!??!?!?! AND GREAT SURVIVED HIS POINT-BLANK SHOOTING, TOO?!?!?!?!

LISTEN. LISTEN. I get that BOC wants GreatTyme together. JesBible are a good pair. It's fine Great and Tyme are together. It's nice.

But there was an ACTUAL storyline, told WONDERFULLY for seven episodes, that had these characters in moral and ethical chokeholds that could have received different and very much more appropriate endings. This is fiction, of course, but the moral and ethical prisons these characters were in were very real-to-life by way of what humans value, and how you balance those values against the real-time decisions that humans need to make for themselves and their families.

Instead, BOC took the wild GMMTV playbook of late (The Eclipse, 23.5, Only Friends, Wandee Goodday, even Last Twilight and My Precious) and just railroaded ethical explorations for, my GAWD, guitars and boats. GUITARS AND BOATS! If either Great or Tyme had died, how would the story have expressed regret, uncommunicated feelings, unsolved mysteries?

The ending sucked the mystery out of this series, and frankly, made light of the fact that we were not in a Series Y for seven-eighths of a runtime, only to truly suck us back into Y territory -- real, sugary, cheesy Y territory, GUITARS, THE KP OST OMG -- that just clashed with the tonality of what was shaping up to be a great queer crime murder mystery show. GMMTV already does this. BOC did not need to go there.

Funny that some of us are watching Kidnap now, and commenting (I'm stealing @shortpplfedup's words here) that Kidnap is not a crime BL, but a crime BL. Kidnap knows what it is: it is shaping up to be a fun, unserious Y series that's centered around two himbos not really understanding the consequences of their decisions, and being googly while doing it. It seems to be taking its unseriousness seriously. Good on GMMTV for taking initiative there.

4 Minutes? 4 Minutes needs moral closure, not sappy romance. I could have used a hint that we were gonna get punked earlier. I wouldn't have taken this show as seriously as I did if I had known otherwise.

Currently watching the final episode of 4 Minutes, and whoever is writing the dialogue (Sammon) needs an award .

Tongkla, being confronted by his side piece while the boyfriend who he himself has become a side piece for is right there:

"Yeah, I killed your brother. While we are at it, I also cheated on you while you were gone.(second line is almost word for word)."

Then immediately takes a bullet for Korn, not even knowingly, because in that split second it is just instinct to shield Korn... Korn, who ends his own life over Tongkla's body anyway, because after he has lost Tongkla and the dreams they once had, he has nothing more to live for.

To any BOC interns trawling through tumblr, please do a isekai/time travel season two where Korn gets to go back in time to college and fix his mistakes, especially the ones with Tongkla. Fanfic writwrs, if you're listening, please hear my prayers.

But really, I just really want Sammon's brand of Mafia husbands. Kinnporsche ended without a single scene with them as mafia husbands (and personally, I don't expect much from Porsche anyway) and Unforgotten Night didn't have Mafia husbands at all.

I just want a pair of morally bankrupt boys getting together in college and wrecking the underworld as men. I've read too many Kpop renditions of this story, now I wanna see it on screen.

Mile stayed in Singapore after the Guerlain event yesterday, and today did a photoshoot with Harper's Bazaar (he flew back tonight):

One of the cuter things to happen during this trip is that during the pre-event live yesterday, Mile was asked about the tofu pudding Apo liked so much when he was in Singapore last year, on Nov 11. Mile said it must have been delicious, because there was none left for him.

Apo was actually seen back then at the airport carrying two servings of tofu pudding, he was told he couldn't bring them on the plane, so he ate them there, but not before taking a pic of them. I guess Mile just confirmed the two servings (or at least one of them) were originally meant for him? Well, as you can see from the pic he posted to his personal IG last night, he finally got to try it!

Today, a fan asked him at the airport whether he liked it, and he said yes. Always matching husbands! ^u^

Mile also mentioned, during another live last night, that back when Apo was rehearsing Why Don't You Stay for the KP World Tour, he used to sing it all the time. This is his face listening to Mos' cover:

My take on what’s been going on with the fandom regarding Melissa McBride. This will get me blocks I’m sure but you have to be careful who you trust. Listen to people but don’t think they are god. Even actors and showrunners have been known to embellish the truth. I do not believe for a second Melissa is being overrun and underminded. She already left the spinoff once and a lot was put in to getting her back on board. That’s not something AMC or Norman/Scott is going to jeopardize again. A lot of talk is going around about a pro Caryl showrunner and rumors of how the men are trying to block that from happening. For one if AMC wanted them they’ll sign them. They have the power over Scott. Another thing is they are not going to refuse to hire someone over their taste in ships. These are professional people who have done this job before.

Keep in mind about who you are getting the information from. If they use the line “you don’t have to believe me” chances are they aren’t being forthcoming. If they become aggressive when you don’t believe them chances are they aren’t being honest. This seems more about a fandom power play then it does as warning to Carylers to make a movement to AMC.

I’ve seen so much division in the Caryl fandom throughout several platforms. And it’s to much competition that often times makes it unbearable. There’s a few “leaders” who are constantly at odds with each other and fight for their place at fandom Queen. It’s childish and mean girl behavior.

FYI a true leader is someone who uplifts everyone regardless of how they feel about you. Not a dictatorship which some of you are guilty of. I’ve seen you guys shut down people and try to push them out of the fandom for having the same opinion earlier that you have now. So maybe think on that before you judge next time. None of us are ever 100 percent right all the time.

Some of you really need to let that high school mantra go. I don’t believe the ones being the loudest have any true connection to higher ups at AMC or the DD/BOC show. And I don’t believe Melissa is being strongholded. She is an EP and has a say in Carol’s story. AMC official accounts are using the Caryl hashtag. There’s a lot to look forward to. She’s been a part of the show from day one giving input and helping on and off screen even before she was an EP. Melissa was a huge part of season one even without the title. Actors have always raved about how she’s made them better and the same holds true with this show. So you all need to relax. Melissa is valued.

I can tell you this with certainty the one claiming to have this insider information is the same person who would dm a wide range of accounts that seemed to have information and beg them for whatever information they could. And when she got information she refused to share any. Which is what they are doing now. Talking about a female show runner but will not name names. Put your money where your mouth is if you think you have accurate information. And I will tell you this stalking and dming crew members or production members for a tid bit of information is not a source. It’s borderline harassment. You know who you are.

Now in closing this person also claimed that if Carylers were loud enough to AMC that the spinoff would not happen. Yes they were going to waste all that money or sets and contracts. Melissa was also already there when they were trying to make this movement lol. Stop acting like they are the Buddha to the Caryl fandom like you have no common sense and can’t function without them. There are many strong Caryl fans who don’t spread misery on a daily basis you can talk to. To calm your fears or just to talk about happier things to look forward to. These so called leaders seek out emotional people that they can control who are looking for guidance. This was once the greatest fandom in the land and could be again if we would break ties with the ones holding us down. So just think about that before being sucked down with the rest. Great things are coming. I promise you that.

A BL/GL Podcast (and YouTube Channel) Recommendation

I don't know these two personally and have never talked to either of them outside of a couple of comments on Billy's YouTube channel, but if you like BLs and GLs and enjoy podcasts on top of that, please check this one out. They work so hard on it, consistently update, and it honestly feels like spending time with friends whenever I put them on in the car, making long car rides less lonely. There are shows I plan on watching simply because they have covered them on the podcast and I want to listen to those episodes without being spoiled. Most of the shows they break down extensively, often dedicating an hour or more to each episode. They share their thoughts, theories, and have a great, friendly banter, even when they completely disagree. They usually have fun after shows where they discuss favorite and least favorite characters, play games, talk about ships, etc. I feel like they put so much effort into the show and don't get enough love due to currently having a small audience.

They started with KinnPorsche (I suggest checking out Billy's YouTube reactions out if you are into reaction videos. He takes episode 14 HARD). They have also covered To My Star 2, Love in the Air, 23.5, Only Friends, Sense 8, Pit Babe, Moonlight Chicken, and a lot more. I believe Love in the Air is one long episode, but the rest are broken down per episode, which gives listeners a lot of material to fill their time with on their commutes.

As for Billy's YouTube Channel, he reacts to a lot of different BL and GL series, some they haven't yet covered on the podcast. He also reacts to animated series and uploads gaming sessions from his Twitch.

Since most follow me for KinnPorsche related things, I will share his KinnPorsche playlist here, which has each episode reaction as well as BOC video upload reactions. Check out his profile and click on playlists for other shows. He organizes it all very well, so all the playlists are compiled by show.

Note: Both the podcast and the YouTube channel are in English. I believe both are American. I'm not sure of how accurate closed captioning auto-translations might be when it comes to other languages.

Anyway, I see love for fics and fanart, but podcasting and editing reactions are also fantastic contributions to the fandom and these two provide SO much material. So if you could, check them out and follow. They really put so much work into what they are doing.

oooh honestly i’m pretty into the picnic postnl jersey!! i think it looks super polished and ties in the sponsor logos really well :) however i am reserving a spot for ef when they release their 2025 kit bc i’m preeettty sure that’ll be my fave

📅 What was your favourite race moment this year? Why?

hmm i’d say it’s probably tied up between kasia realizing she won the tour and boc’s win on stage 6 of the vuelta!!! i got a reel of kasia being told that she got it the other day and genuinely got teary eyed she was just SO incredible and i’m very much looking forward to her racing in 2025 :) as for ben i’ve had a bit of a soft spot for him and i love when people beat the flop narrative 💕💕 never listen to patrick ben you ARE a top 10 climber in my heart

Also, Bim, you made the "mistake" to not specify any characters so I'm doing most of them like that pet ask. >:) No one actually read the pet ask, it's filled with typos and wrong words. Dyslexia is fun. And also I'm not fixing it.

These are kinda what they would do solo. I think a lot of them would actually just spent time with others doing whatever came to mind.

Blaidd: He finds the closest tree and rests under its trunk. He mostly just listens to the sounds around him and takes in the environment. Sometimes he cleans his boots.

Yura: He has a stick that he uses to write in the dirt. Mostly just practising his calligraphy, but sometimes he puts down his deeper thoughts.

Boc: Boc lives for his work. He always is tailoring something, then unraveling it and starting again.

Diallos Hoslow: He likes to play fight with the small jars in Jarburg. When they tire he usually sits with the older jars and they share stories from when they traveled outside Jarburg.

Fia: If she knows she's alone and will stay alone for some time, she practices with her dagger. When the other people are around, she simply sits and zones out, remembering the days before Godwyn's death and her time even before him.

Finlay: I think she likes origami (or the Lands Between equivalent). She's advanced enough that she doesn't really need patterns anymore, so she just finds something she likes and makes it with paper.

Radahn: A lot of his time is spend with Leonard. Often he joins his troops to talk and have fun. While he's undeniably the commander, he never shies away from mingling with the foot soldiers.

Pre-mermaid Godwyn: He read a lot. He had access to Marika's library and spend most of his free hours there. If he had a couple days free, he usually made quick trips to the Haligtree.

Latenna: Daydreams a lot. I headcanon that she lived in Ordina for some time before descending to Liurnia, and there she had a small desk where she would write small stories and general worldbuilding ideas.

Ranni: She likes to read sometimes, but 95% of her free time is spend with her falling face first on the bed, sleeping like she's dead. On the rare occasion that she's feeling energetic, she will talk to either Blaidd or Iji and talk for a bit before passing out. They carry her to bed after a while.

Malenia: Mostly uses her free time to train. Sometimes writes small letters to Finlay that she never sends.

Morgott: Prays.

Melina: Usually she just talks to Torrent. She also likes making grass rings and baskets out of plants. She doesn't make the baskets often, but when she does, she makes sure that she's close to a settlement so that they are found and put to use. Otherwise, she likes to sit in the sun and enjoy the warmth and the nature sounds around her.

Millicent: She's very similar to her mother. Usually just takes the free time for extra training or reading books and scrolls about medicine (for Scarlet Butterflies reasons).

Mary: Likes spending time around the Cleanrot barracks. She doesn't always join in with the soldiers, sometimes she just likes the noise.

Amy: Usually she sneaks away to a small creek she has found near Elphael. She dances sometimes, just to feel movement that's calming and not the tense survival moves she had to learn when they were in Caelid.

Maureen: Usually she's found in Miq's garden, checking on the bigger trees. She also has a small sapling that she planted herself, and she checks on it daily.

Polyanna: She just disappears. One moment she's seen walking at the Elphael market, the other she's on top of the roofs, sprinting and jumping like she's being chased by a runebear. Basically, she likes to move and see movement. On rare occasions, Millie has found her passed out on the Haligtree's branches, just taking in the sun and wind.

Miquella: Free time? Never heard of it. Just pass him another cup of tea already.

Nepheli: One of the first things she did after fixing most of the mess that Godrick had made in Stormveil, was to build a big aviary on one of the towers. She's there every free moment she has.

Patches: He likes puzzles, particularly puzzle rings and the like.

Roderika: Lots of her time is spent in the local graveyard. She likes talking to the spirits there, and enjoys learning about lives past.

Rogier: If there is a library in the vicinity, you'll find this man knee deep into a pile of books, reading the day and night away. He likes nothing more than reading.

Rya: Rya likes painting. She never shows her art to anyone, cause her style is more Van Gogh than realism. She things her works are awful but she keeps making more and more cause she loves the process of painting maybe more than the result.

Thops: Big fan of baking. Makes killer tarts. Savoury, sweet, whatever you can thing of, he can tart it.

Iji: Another chronic reader. He always nags Blaidd to bring him new books, and our dearest wolfman always returns with at least one.

Marika: Her chambers are basically the Lands Between version of the library of Alexandria. She reads. A lot. But also she likes putting on her mimic veil and being a nuisance to whomever she feels like. As her kids moved away, she started sneaking around at their bases, just to see them from afar.

Rennala: When she's not reading (I'm sorry, almost every character in here feels like they would be an avid reader) she likes to gather the newest gossip from her guards. On one hand she just likes the information, on the other she uses it to help whomever needs it. It's an open secret that if you're having troubles in the Academy, at the next full moon you'll get something that can assist you waiting at your doorstep.

Rykard: He is usually found at his private workshop, making small trinkets. Yes, his break from making war machines is making toy machines. Before settling in with Tanith he was quite the tavern goer though. They sometimes still go together, but their duties and status have kinda alienate them from it.
