Prompt game - zekina, game

It was the second time their friend group had played spin the bottle. Tina was vibrating with excitement; she was going to get to kiss someone tonight, hopefully Jimmy Jr.

Tina's spun..."Shit," she thought, leaning into the centre of the circle of teens.

"My dreams are coming true" thought Zeke, moving towards her, the bottle neck pointing at him.

Their lips touched and Tina felt fireworks like she never had with any of the other boys she'd kissed.

Oh I'm expanding as much as I want on the why's.

Out of the belcher kids, all of them.

I'd go as far as to say Tina is a DM. She will not back down when it comes to world building. She would 100% love adding a little romance to everything, making compatible NPC for all the players at the table. She's in her element when playing all the many different characters in her one, very monotone, voice.

Louise is in it for the combat and magic shit. she probably loves to rough up NPCs and solve fun mysteries, too. She will NEVER fold for one of Tina's love interest NPCs mostly out of spite. And she always plays a rogue, possibly goblin (classic) or tiefling (iconic)

Gene is always flirting with Tina's made NPCs and the ones Louise rejects as well. He'll get super into character and force everyone to dress up. Maybe he gets a little too excited about some mini figures, maybe he also thinks theyre ugly, maybe he diys some minis, maybe they're not that good, maybe it doesn't matter cus they capture the essence better.

The non belchers:

Millie plays it. She heard Louise was into it, that's why she started. She got a little too into it. I mean beyond dressing up and making minis, no. She now refers to people doing lame stuff as crit failing and will immediately turn to someone around her going "Get it? like in D&D? Do you know about that?"

She's the type that parents in the 80s were scared off.

Jessica plays a human druid always. She originally thought of just wizard elf but the second she heard of druids TURNING INTO ANIMALS?? she almost when feral. Does she over use it? Yes 100% Does she regret it when she runs into situations where she would 100% need it but already did it twice and she just came out of a short rest? Kinda, not enough to learn from her mistakes.

Rudy plays. In a very classic nerdy boy way. Human paladín typa guy. His PC is jacked, and i mean JACKED. All the charisma he doesn't have IRL, he has in game. Always specifies that his character has "no difficulty breathing."

One time in a Tina campaign, a creature killed him by suffocation. It asked, in a very condescending tone, if it was getting hard to breathe. The table agreed it was kinda meta. Tina had totally forgot he was asthmatic.

Hed probably would be a good DM.

Jimmy Jr. is a bard. He also falls under the common trope of making your character an orphan for dramatic effect. He gets a little too into looting people.

Zeke plays because J-Ju plays. Only plays human characters, idk why, but he just does. Heard about the "Rule of Cool" and will try to justify anything with it.

"No, you can't fly to the top of that try and use it as a catapult to get your character to the castle quicker. You can't even fly, and the impact would kill you"

Wayne plays. He's an asshole about it. Totally against the rule of cool cuz he wouldn't know cool if it hit him in the face with a brick and left him disfigured.

He loves homebrewing shit though. And it's always the most obnoxious weapon or armor or spell. It reeks of fedora, i don't like him.

Henry is pretty similar in the homebrewing aspect, but he loves the rule of cool! To an extent

Kaylee played a few times. She loved the combat mechanics, loved the world building, loved the feeling and sound of the dice. It felt like almost a perfect game. The role-playing was too much for her, she couldn't do it.

Alex also plays. He gets excited about minis, too, and will build them with gene. He's a GM, for sure. His world building isn't very sound, though, and there tend to be a lot of gaps and holes in the lore, but he patches them up quickly.

Courtney plays with Alex and Gene. It's almost the same way gene plays tbh. When she got into it, her dad got super excited and bought her a bunch of stuff, including like 50 campaign books that her and the guys have played through at least twice at this point.

of the grown ups

Bob 10000% played it as an older teen/ young adult.

He has very fond nostalgic memories of it, can't really keep up when the kids are playing. He says they make it too complicated. It's still fun though.

Linda played when the kids started playing it but a lot of her ideas and plans were shut down by both Tina DMing and the other players at the table (except gene). She says they're no fun.

Dr. Yap played, but he got kicked out of every group he played with. He was too much.

Felix would play if he had friends to play it with. He tried to get Calvin to do a campaign with him, but he only agreed once, and he wasn't doing things the way felix wanted him to. It was chaos. They shot at each other, no biggie.

The one person I think is super 1000000% into D&D and DEVOURS every time they play....

Is Ron.

Ron, the health inspector? Yes! Ron, the volunteer at the Esther Margaret Marionette-Odeum.

“Ta da!”

Zoey’s little hands clapped after she stuck a peppermint on the gingerbread house. It was off-center, but for a toddler’s help, the results weren’t bad at all.

“Great job, Zoey.” Bob bounced his granddaughter on his knee as he piped some frosting along the gingerbread eaves. There was frosting everywhere— he might have made a little too much— including in Zoey’s hair. His kids had never taken much interest in building gingerbread houses, and he’d never made them. He kind of liked that it was his and Zoey’s special thing, maybe something they’d do every Christmas now that she was old enough to help.

Zoey plunged her fingers into the frosting bowl and licked a generous helping off of her fingers. She somehow wound up with it on the tiny glasses she wore that made her look like a baby Tina— just with Zeke’s hair— and giggled. “Pretty!” she exclaimed, pointing a messy finger at their gingerbread house.

“That’s right. Pretty,” Bob echoed. He grabbed a marshmallow from the bag and held it up. “Hey, Zoey, I wanna be a snowman!”

Grinning, Zoey grabbed the marshmallow. Instead of building a snowman, though, she plunged it into her mouth.

“No, no, don’t eat me! I wanna be a snowman!”

The voice he used sent his granddaughter into a giggling fit. It was a contagious sound that made him grin, and he grabbed another marshmallow so he could hear it again.

Inspired by "Stand By Gene" (S06 E11)

Lemme brain dump for you here,

When Darryl says he followed Tammy and Jocelyn to wonder warf, Jocelyn is cordial, even almost happy to see him.

In the same episode when the road becomes too difficult and the party of kid-venturers grows smaller, it is Tammy, Jocelyn & Darryl who leave. (Honestly I could see Jocelyn in a polycule with both of them, her as the hinge.)

On their trip back, just the 3 of them, Darryl and Jocelyn get to chatting and she is wildly interested in everything Darryl brings up. She doesn't understand a lot of it, but she's fascinated by him. She asks him a lot of questions, ones that even make him think about things in new ways (which he thinks is so cool. Not to mention she's gorgeous to him.)

When they get back to town, Darryl asks if he can tag along with the two of them, Jocelyn eagerly agrees and suggests fro-yo. It's buy 2 get 1 free. Tammy begrudgingly says yes after Jocelyn begs her and says, "It's cute! It's like we have a sidekick now!" She winks at Darryl.

Over the next few months, they continue to hang out, the two girls and their sidekick (Tammy doesn't even mind Darryl at times, but mostly she just likes making Joss happy.)

Darryl and Joss get closer until one day, they kiss (romantic day at the warf, kissing at the top of the ferris wheel maybe). Nothing much else romantic happens. They even hang out a bit less for a while (Darryl freaked out about not wanting to get "tied down young"), but they eventually renew the friendship. Darryl sidekick returns.

Finally, when Darryl is in gr 11 and Joss in gr 12 he asks her to Prom. He's been into her for so long, he can't shake her. So he gets over his "tied down fear" and wants to commit to her. She says yes.

It causes a bit of a fuss at the school. No one saw it coming, and there's "such taboo" at the age difference.

Where are my Darryl/Jocelyn shippers at?

Based on an idea @ltwharfy had during Roudise Week (forever ago, I know!) where Rudy gets jealous and dresses up as Boo Boo after finding out about Louise’s crush. I loved the idea and just had to do something with it and I FINALLY finished it!

Here’s the dialogue if you can’t read my messy handwriting:

Louise: Would it make you feel better if I slapped you?

Rudy: A little, yeah…

This is my moment.

I think Louise would 1000% have a semi punny name. It's in her blood after all. It would also probably be something that references her bunny ears.

Shed probably takes it way too seriously, too, going through many options. She can't afford to have a bad derby name, it's could ruin her street cred.

having said that...

Here are some i think she would consider, and what she'll end up with

- The Hare

sounds kinda menacing, basically inspired by the tortoise and the hare. I think she would consider it but end up not choosing it cuz the Hare lost and she never does.

She thought of maybe leaning to her interests with a more niche reference.

- Bugs

She was clever referencing George "Bugs" Moran the bootlegger, but her family either thought Bugs Bunny or just plain bugs. Quickly scratched.

She wanted something that sounded strong and intimidating.

Gene suggested it, thought it was hilarious. (was right)

- Bunny Butcher

Bob suggested it, adding to genes idea.

it does kinda sound like she kills bunnies, but it really fits the bunny/kinda punny/burger child vibe.

He thinks it's badass, like he's gonna cook the other team. Everyone decides to let him have this one.
