if abc does introduce a new character starting ep 1, they have a lot of ground to cover because again, they're fighting against someone who's a legal guardian to his son, who has shared trauma with him and aforementioned son, and built their trust on each other over the YEARS.

also saw someone say that because they've been introduced as straight, suddenly making them gay won't make any sense.

The TNT broadcast won me over a bit with the post-show Bobby interview 😭 I was so charmed by Bobby when he brought up Hank beating him in his last Winter Classic appearance.

Goalies ways of complimenting each other is always so fun to watch. Such strange little creatures.

Not sure exactly who said “What a stud!” At the end of the interview but whoever said it should understand now why the cats will attempt murder on anyone who gets too close to Bob. How could you not honestly.

i was honestly surprised they got bobby to do a postgame interview with them! i thought they were gonna ask maffhew again considering how much they were going on about his shenanigans the entire time im like theyre absolutely gunning for him for the postgame huh? so imagine my suprise when little ole bobby is sat politely on the bench with his headset on... damn near scared my neighbours from the yell i let out...

but so correct of them they started kitty warmies talking about the winter classic and goalies (lu and hank) they should end it talking to goalies yes!

I was looking at the description of items in the Robert G. Moch collection on Archive West's website and noticed a chunk of photos taken while Bobby was traveling Europe following the Olympics.

Of the photos, three listed were taken of his father's childhood home. Notes written by Bobby are in italics and a description of the image is in the brackets;

And because I love research, I spent a brief amount of time looking at Gaston Moch's relatives so that I might identify how they specifically relate to Bobby. I put together a little family tree and discovered Bobby primarily spent time with his two Aunts and their children, his Cousins. I added the birth years of Bobby and his cousins as well as the years his grandparents and uncle passed.

regardless of q!cellbit being bobby's step father or not or whatever, what makes me the saddest is that qcellbit didn't even had a chance to be his stepfather/father and help raise him, y´know? he adored bobby even before his death but now that spiderbit are together i think he's just sad of what could have been, qcellbit respects qroier's boundaries and he always sees him and jaiden as bobby's parents first, but what's tragic is the lost connection they could have had. that's what makes me the saddest about this whole situation.

Hi! Your tags on the post about Buck going sober are very relatable! I'm also someone who just doesn't drink without a previous reason making my decision. It would be really cool & refreshing to see that. I think nowerdays it seems to be a lot more "socially acceptable" (ugh that thats a thought for personal choice!) To not drink just because or without having to explain or be pushed about it, which is really great! Anyways, long story short its interesting & basically a "same!" to your tags 😅

hi anon, thank you!!!!! and yeah re: the socially acceptable comment, i think it goes hand in hand with the standard-but-incorrect assumption of “a sober person is sober because they or a family member is an addict”. so it was more taboo to mention sobriety because it would imply this history. we’re getting to a point now, at least where i am, that this immediate connection is slowly dissipating so it’s more of a “no thanks i don’t drink/i don’t want to drink now” vs “here’s a very personal part of my backstory”.

i haven’t looked into this myself (and i imagine covid kinda skews these values a little bc parties weren’t a thing for a few years) but gen z is shaping up to be the most sober generation. i don’t know if this is a chicken-egg situation—are we more sober bc there’s less stigma or is there less stigma bc we’re more sober—but either way i think seeing that choice made intentionally in media would be really good to see. hell, in my tags i said i was sober (there’s more nuance to it but it works for this instance) but i don’t say that in real life. instead, i just get non alcoholic drinks when asked. this is mostly still because saying you don’t drink still feels a bit like a big reveal and i think seeing a similar situation on a large scale show might help normalize it a little more.

theres some fun fanart from the japanese side of the fandom that depicts the beta designs as his older brothers which i love love loveee !!!!! bobbys japanese name has the kanji for 3 in it, so he could definitely be a third child!! youngest child bobby.. i headcanon theyre both in similar careers (like ICPO/private investigators or something) and they dote on him but dont take him as seriously as he'd like .. i have to wonder what the hell happened in this family that made them so gung ho about justice LMAO ....

So frustrated . they didnt put any concept art of phantys sprites in there . theres no way they didnt draw any!!!!!! theres no way that phanty didnt affect his design!!!!! its so clear the twist was taken into consideration in his design but they dont make any comments on it... its not like they had to avoid spoilers 'cause theres phantys in the sprite section ... im planning a heist on capcoms headquarters for the secret phantys. i would do anything to see them.
