Rachel Daly x Reader
Part Twenty - On Top of the World
The team had settled into camp and were into the second week of training, the first game against Haiti was fast approaching. You had started a vlog to keep yourself busy while the girls were in training and often sat on the sidelines watching. After training you went to wait for Rachel outside, picking up a drink you laid down on the grass to soak up some sunshine while editing today’s videos. Flicking through the close ups of your girl, you didn’t see her approach until she slumped down beside you with a thud. Giving her thigh a squeeze she leant down to kiss you “you’re so sexy in your kit baby” you chimed showing her the videos you took of her, “look at those legs!” Zooming in on her muscles showing thanks to her new short socks trend, you rested your head on her thigh. “I can’t wait til they’re wrapped round my head again” looking up at her with a cheeky smile to see the reaction your statement had caused. Rachel instantly shot you a look with a serious expression trying to hide her smirk, stop now” shutting you down bluntly. You giggled knowing you were both finding it hard not being intimate, it’ll be worth it though. It’s giving you time to get to know each other without every day starting or ending with sex, thus making your relationship stronger with every day.
“Aih up!” Millie’s voice turned both your heads away from the dirty thoughts in your minds. She threw her bag down next to you as she laid her head on your arm, “what we doing?” she asked rolling up the sleeves on her top. “Getting a tan, I’m not going back until I look like Beyoncé” you laughed, putting your arm next to theirs to compare skin colour. “What’s next on your agenda for today girls?” you asked, wondering if they had anything else scheduled for today “Nothing, we’re free to enjoy ourselves before the game tomorrow” Millie said delicately unfolding the time sheet in her pocket. The paper was barely held together and was on its last legs, you wondered how it was possible to even read it with how crumpled and faded it was. Throwing around ideas of how to spend their spare time, they asked you what you wanted to do. You’ve been on a few of Katie Zelem’s tours but haven’t explored with your people yet and asked to check out Sydney.
Walking along the harbour and seeing a seagull you couldn’t help but shout “MINE” repeatedly like the one in Finding Nemo which caused the others to start flying quotes from the Disney movie around too. All giggling your way along the harbour towards the Opera House arm in arm until you spotted a paraglider. Eyes flickered between each other’s face like you were thinking the same thing before sprinting towards the boat, climbing aboard and sailing out to sea. You were all strapped together before being lifted into the air - Rachel had her selfie stick, Millie had the go pro and you were just happy to be there. The driver dipped your toes in the water then lifted you all high up into the air so you could see for miles. Your spontaneity soon disappeared as the rope reached the full distance, Rachel and Millie were excitable until they noticed your silence and quickly clutched your hands to point out the dolphins down below. They reminded you it’ll be over soon and this is your only time to enjoy it, your hands in theirs blowing the anxiety away. “That was incredible! I can’t believe I just did that, in Australia of all places!!!” you screamed once you feet touched back down on the ground, your hands shaking from the adrenaline. You grabbed some dinner in a restaurant that over looked the harbour and watched the boats come and go until you spotted Mary, Jordan and Lucy getting on the paraglider too. Millie texted them when they came off to join you for a few mocktails, bringing with them an announcing that Sarina had planned a surprise at sunset.
Flagging down a taxi you bundled inside and headed over to the meeting place and were in shock as you turned into the car park. Seeing helicopters lined up in a row with Sarina standing next to them made her look even smaller than usual. Standing back to take photos of the girls with one of them you were shocked when the coach asked if you and Rach wanted to go alone or with Millie. “I’m not part of the team Sarina” you said to her, not expecting to be including in the club outing. “Maybe not, but you’re part of this family” she insisted as Millie shouted “I’ll go with you then boss!” dragging her over to one too. Sarina felt like a mother to the team and she wasn’t going to have one of her children left out.
Taking off felt a little wobbly but you couldn’t wait to see Sydney from above again! It was as mesmerising as you had imagined, higher up than you were earlier your fingers interlocked as Rachel pointed out where different things were. You tried to take everything in knowing you’d probably never do this again in your lifetime and wanted to be as present as possible.
Arriving back onto land Rachel held out her hand for you to jump from the helicopter back onto the ground. Stumbling a little as she steadied you, tucking your hair behind your ears that had flopped in front of your eyes. Rachel stroked your face then cupped your cheeks, sharing a silent intimate moment. Gazing up at your girl you have never felt more loved by a person, she made you the happiest you have ever been and you couldn’t imagine doing all these things with someone else. “I’m obsessed with you” she admitted resting her forehead on yours making a smile spread across your face. Losing yourself in her beautiful blue eyes, a wave of emotion washed over you making your eyes well up. “Hey what’s this?” she pouted cutely, lifting your chin so she could study your face. “I’m just so happy it makes me want to cry” you told her between little sobs. “I guess that’s allowed” she said wiping your tears away and kissing your forehead. Wrapping her arms around your shoulders she pulled you into her chest as your hands rested on her hips. And that’s where you stayed, for how long you’re unsure, it could have been seconds, minutes or hours but what you did know is that you wanted to spend the rest of your life in these arms. You turned your head to kiss her bicep then lifted your chin to kiss her deeply, never loosening her grip around you. “I’ve never loved anyone as much as I love you (y/n)” she whispered between kisses. “I’ll love you forever Rachel Ann Daly” “til the world stops going round” she finished with a kiss on the tip of your nose.
You were both too wrapped up in each other to notice the club photographer was capturing your moment from afar. Neither of you were fans of PDA so as the rest of the team started to land you broke apart, switching to simply holding hands and joining the group who were reeling from the excitement. Thanking Sarina as everyone dispersed back to the bus the photographer approached you. “I hope you don’t mind but I thought these were beautiful” showing you her camera screen as she flicked through the photos of you both standing in front of the helicopter with the sunset in the background. “These are absolutely gorgeous!” you gasped in awe of her talent. On the drive back to the hotel she sent you the photos to admire, the bus was loud with chatter after an adrenaline filled day but Rach’s head was resting on your shoulder as you admired the candids in blissful silence.
Once back at the hotel you had made your way back to your room, laying on your bed you chose which photos to upload and captioned it “I’ve never felt more alive than I do with you 😍💜” As hundreds of comments flooded in thick and fast there was a knock at the door, opening it to see Rachel’s cute little face. “Hello love of my life” she said seductively stepping towards you which made your heart skip a beat and a sigh leave your lips in adoration for your girlfriend. “I can’t wait to go away just us after this” you pandered pulling her by her shirt into the room as she wrapped her limbs around your body. “Me neither, we still haven’t decided where” plastering your neck with kisses. Slipping out of her grasp to avoid being turned on you lead her to the sofa, draping her body on top of you to flick through holidays on the tablet. You landed on Jamaica which you both agreed on, booking it then and there making you both excited to spend some quality time with each other with no distractions. Stroking her hair she slowly succumbed to napping on your chest, watching her for a little while before giving in to your heavy eyelids too.
You awoke at a knock at the door and Millie shouting that it was dinner time from the other side, you both stretched and rolled off the sofa to get ready to go down. Spotting Mary you ran over to her showing her a tiktok dance you’ve learnt while they were training yesterday and asked if she wanted to do it. After dinner the four of you all filmed together, laughing at Rachel’s moves every time which took you ten times longer to film. “Are you feeling ready for Haiti tomorrow?” you asked after you all collapsed on a heap on the floor. “We’re ready for anything!” they chimed in unison, “Haiti ain’t gonna know what’s hit them!” Gathering yourselves up off the floor you made your way back to the rooms and congregated in Mary’s for a while before going back to your rooms for an early night. Rachel walked you back to your room talking about how her and a lot of girls stay off social media for the tournament but you can continue posting as normal. She asked if you’d manage her socials for her too which you agreed to.
She stood back to watch you open your door before losing control for a second, pushing you inside and against the wall kissing you passionately. Her hands roamed over your body making you forget where you were for a moment and enjoy the intense encounter. You had longed for this for weeks but you have to obey Sarina’s rules as you didn’t want to get kicked out. Reluctantly pushing Rachel off of you, “we shouldn’t be doing this” you said regretfully. “There’s nothing wrong with a kiss is there baby?” she said slowly between neck kisses making you smirk as you shook your head. Her lips finding yours again in an uncontrollable exchange until you both called it quits before you got carried away. “Good luck tomorrow, not that you need it” you poked her stomach, “I’ll see you at the game, score for me yeah?” planting a subtle kiss on her cheek. “Anything for you (y/n/n)” raising your hand to her lips and kissing it gently before heading back to her own room. Not long after she left your phone pinged that Rachel tagged you in a post, using photos from your trip already she explained she was passing over the controls to you for the tournament.
Sure enough the first game of the tournament, your girl scored 3 out of 5 goals against Haiti, Mary didn’t concede any which lead them to top their group. Rachel came away with the match ball and was interviewed after the game which was played out to the stadium, she thanked her team for allowing and assisting with her hatrick but your ears pricked up when you heard her cheeky voice over the tannoy - “this ball is for my girlfriend, she told me to score for her today so this is rightfully hers.” You chuckled to yourself knowing everyone back home would have seen that and messages would be flooding your phone soon. A short time later Rachel came skipping over, presenting the ball to you while leaning in for a kiss. You found out later than someone behind you had filmed the exchange and posted it to tiktok as ‘POV: Rachel Daly is your girlfriend’. As has come to be expected, Rachel took you back to the changing room with her where she was greeted with cheers, the party in full swing, the team recording on their phones which meant you were in the background of most making you more visible on social media. Sarina gave a match review and discussed the next game against Denmark - a team they know very well.
Back at the hotel, you joined Rachel and Millie in their room, tossing the match ball between your hands you asked what players do with them - you’d been wondering that for years! “Usually just stuffed in a cupboard” Millie laughed, “we should display them in our future house, we could get plaques for each one - what game, score, maybe get the team who played to sign? I think that’d make a cute display yknow” you pondered, flopping down on the bed. “Not a bad idea that, you don’t like my house then?” Rachel laughed “well that’s yours isn’t it, not ours” you said shyly, second guessing your words. “Oh I see, a ball isn’t enough for you anymore” she joked with a silly voice, “well I can’t wear a ball on my finger can I!” your announcement made everyone laugh, “she’s got a point there Rach” Millie backed you up.

THE FUTURE OF TRAVEL: WATER TAXIS IN AUSTRALIAN CITIES
As urban populations continue to grow and traffic congestion becomes increasingly prevalent, the need for innovative transportation solutions has never been more pressing. In Australian cities, water taxis are emerging as a promising mode of travel, offering a seamless and sustainable alternative to traditional land-based transportation. In this blog post, we’ll explore the future of seamless travel with water taxis in Australian cities, examining their potential to transform urban mobility and enhance the overall travel experience for residents and visitors alike. Sydney Harbour Boat Rides
Efficient Urban Mobility
Water taxis are poised to revolutionize urban mobility by providing efficient and congestion-free transportation options in Australian cities. With waterways often underutilized compared to road networks, water taxis offer a faster and more direct route to key destinations, reducing travel times and alleviating traffic congestion on crowded streets. By leveraging existing water infrastructure and embracing innovative technologies, water taxi operators can create a seamless and interconnected network of waterborne transportation routes, enhancing accessibility and connectivity within urban areas.
Sustainable Transportation Solutions
In an era of increasing environmental awareness, the sustainability of transportation systems has become a paramount concern for cities worldwide. Water taxis offer a greener alternative to traditional modes of transportation, emitting fewer greenhouse gases and minimizing the carbon footprint associated with urban travel. By utilizing electric or hybrid propulsion systems and implementing eco-friendly practices such as waste reduction and waterway conservation, water taxi operators can contribute to the preservation of Australia’s natural environment while providing residents and visitors with sustainable transportation options.
Tips for Estimating Water Taxi Fares
Beyond their environmental benefits, water taxis offer a unique and memorable travel experience that sets them apart from traditional modes of transportation. Cruising along Australia’s picturesque waterways, passengers can enjoy panoramic views of iconic landmarks, scenic coastlines, and vibrant waterfront precincts, transforming their daily commute or leisure journey into an immersive sightseeing adventure. With onboard amenities such as Wi-Fi connectivity, refreshments, and commentary from knowledgeable guides, water taxis provide a comfortable and enjoyable travel experience that enhances the overall quality of urban life.
Integration with Multimodal Transportation Networks
To realize their full potential, water taxis must be seamlessly integrated into existing multimodal transportation networks, complementing other modes of travel such as buses, trains, and bicycles. By establishing convenient interchange points and coordinating schedules with land-based transportation services, water taxi operators can facilitate smooth and efficient connections between different modes of travel, offering passengers greater flexibility and convenience in their journeys. Reasons To Rent A Car In Sydney, Australia
In my previous articles I have talked about the challenges of living and working in Sydney as a first time overseas driver. Now I want to talk about a unique driving experience that many people have while residing and working in the city. Many Australian drivers living in Sydney have probably never driven on the Harbour Bridge, which is a pretty cool experience! On arrival in Sydney they may have a quick photo opportunity or two at the awesome light tower on the top of the bridge, but it is really more than just a photo opportunity.
As a driver living and working in Sydney I get to experience many different facets of the city. The ferry ride up the Sydney Harbour Bridge, the incredible lights and sounds, the smells of the Harbour, and the awesome boats floating by the calm waters of the Sydney Harbour. These are only some of the experiences that I have had while residing and driving school in Sydney. I have explored the historical areas of the city, the historical museums, the botanic gardens, the Sydney Tower, the Sydney Opera House, and even the Sydney Wildlife World. In my opinion, there is no other place in the world that can provide such a diverse variety of experiences.
A driving adventure like this would not be possible if it was not for the incredible organization and driving services of Schoool. The wonderful staff of Schoool is an experience unto themselves. With their knowledge, experience, and care they help make your holiday one to remember. If you are planning a holiday in the city and would like to experience some of the incredible activities, but would also like to be able to enjoy some driving, then drive your rental car in Sydney, Australia.
As mentioned above, driving is a big part of many people's holidays. It can be extremely annoying and expensive to be on the roads when it is raining or snowing and many times you might get stuck in the middle of nowhere. If you were to hire a driving company in Sydney, you can avoid all of those problems.
As mentioned above, Schoool's chauffeurs are amazing. Whether it's taking you to the Opera House for a night out, the Sydney Harbor for a nice walk, or to see the Sydney Tower, these professional drivers are sure to make your experience an unforgettable one. They are very knowledgeable about the area, the best places to go, and they will take care of any driving emergencies that may arise. There is no better way to experience all that the city has to offer by driving in. If you are interested in hiring a car in Sydney, driving in school is a great idea!
The transportation within the city is amazing as well. Whether you want to take a bus to the city center or just catch a taxi, you will find all of the public transportation available to you. Driving in Sydney, Australia is also affordable because the city has a great public transportation system in place.
Another great reason to rent a car in Sydney, Australia is because you will never be bored. No matter where you drive to, you will experience all kinds of fun and interesting activities. There are so many things to do that you might never get to experience them all if you were to drive yourself. Driving insy puts you in the driver's seat so you can decide where you want to go, when you want to do it, and how long you want to drive for.
One of the nicest parts of driving insy is that it allows you to travel at your own pace. You can stop when you want to, and you don't have to worry about getting caught by traffic. The rules are very clear and easy to follow. You will always know where you're going and how long you'll be there. When it comes to driving insy, you simply have to enjoy the ride!

A list of ground transport service providers currently operating at the airport during all airport hours can be found here. This list contains information for passengers on which transport provider is located in each terminal, as well as the operating hours of each service provider.
Although Sydney's cruise ports are well-positioned, there are only two cruise terminals in the city that can accommodate a maximum of 20,000 passengers per cruise ship per day. Sydney has a large number of public transport services, including the Sydney airport limo, taxi maxi bus Sydney and private airport transfer Sydney. These offer a variety of public transport options to get to the two cruise terminals in Sydney, as taxis are too expensive. The terminal is located in Sydney Harbor and is easily accessible from Sydney Airport, a great base for cruising in Australia.
As a company, it's very profitable to create what we do, and so we're very excited to bring the business of the airport shuttle service online. This should be implemented as soon as possible and a website where passengers can book seats directly in our shuttles will give a dramatic boost to our earnings.
Receiving a sensational benefit for the customers of cruise ship shuttle transfers Sydney
Once you arrive in Sydney and sail by, you can explore the city by boat, train, or car. If you're into cruise ship shuttle transfers Sydney, we have several options to make your trip even sweeter. We have services specifically designed for you so you can easily get to book a return trip before you board. Return is waiting patiently at the wharf to take you home, and if you're into cruising, you can choose to take a private tour of the Sydney Harbor Bridge or a tour aboard one of our ships.
Before planning your trip for your next voyage, you should check out our cruise port transfer options to find out how to get to your ship. While some cruise companies offer shore excursion bus transfers for a fee, taxi maxi bus Sydney offers a bus transfer from White Bay Circular Quay Terminal to Sydney Harbor Bridge. A representative of the cruise company will pick you up at the baggage claim and accompany you to the bus.
Our taxi maxi bus Sydney offers a variety of facilities from and to the airport.
You can book the shuttle or choose a super shuttle from the airport on the same day. You share a van and travel time can increase, but there is space and you know that when you arrive you will have all your needs met. You can take public transport, but if you are already staying in a hotel in the port city, this is it. If you really want to, you can also take public transport from the airport to your hotel or even to the ship.

NSW Health confirmed today the 13 Cabs driver had been infectious while working during nine different shifts on the days of September 7, 8, 9, 10, 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18. The driver is known to have travelled around the suburbs of Moorebank, Bankstown, Chipping Norton, Liverpool, Lidcombe, Warwick Farm and Milperra. Read more here
I’m reading the news from 9 News. It’s a little bit sad as the health authorities in New South Wales scramble to trace the contacts and the movements of a western Sydney taxi driver that may have caused a spread of covid-19 in the city. The NSW Health authorities confirmed that 13 cab drivers are infected while working during nine different shifts on September 7-10, 14-18. The driver is known to have travelled in the suburbs of Moorebank, Chipping Norton, Bankstown, Liverpool, Warwick Farm, Lidcombe, and Milperra. He also visited Mama Wok’s Yum Cha in MacArthur Square. It’s a sad thing because this driver may have had different contacts with many people. So, just if you happen to have contact with this driver, have yourself tested.
Port Jackson Bay in Sydney NSW
The Port Jackson Bay in Sydney, NSW, is also known as the Sydney Harbour. It’s an inlet of the Pacific, and it’s about 12 miles and has a total area of 21 square miles. This is the world’s finest harbour and its principal port in New South Wales. It has all beautiful things – the sparkling water, the hidden beaches, iconic tourists attractions, pristine bushland, and the gorgeous botanic gardens brimming with flora, plus the charming islands made for exploration. I love to hop on a ferry and glide past the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney harbour bridge. All types of harbour cruises are fun to ride – talk ships, lunch cruises, aboriginal cultural heritage cruise, and boating.

Formosa, the Beautiful Island
Taiwan, or the Republic of China, is only recognised by a few countries as its own sovereign state. To most, it is seen as a rebellious territory of the People’s Republic of China. No wonder then that when I told my work colleagues, some were of the opinion that I was venturing into the very epicentre of the COVID-19 outbreak. At the time of travel, Taiwan’s reported numbers were quite low. During the week I stayed, it reached to the mid-twenties. A far-cry to some of the more major outbreaks in countries such as South Korea.
Unlike Australia, though, the entire populace seemed incredibly paranoid about contracting the virus. The streets of Taipei had masks everywhere. People were encouraged to practice good hygiene. When entering hotels, thermometers were aimed at foreheads to ensure those staying were not sporting fevers. For this blogger, it felt both excessive and oppressive.
But I’m getting ahead of myself. It was the 15th of February and our flight to Taiwan was slated to be one of the last few flying out for the day. My mother and I had spent much of the Saturday completing chores and packing the remaining items we needed for our trip.
It was seven when my cousin appeared at the door to take us to the international terminal of Sydney Airport. Checking in proved to be a simple affair, although I discovered that China Air was one of the only queues where a vast majority of individuals were sporting facial masks. I wanted to tell them to remove them as were departing Australia. At the time, there had only been about 15 reported cases across the nation and several had already recovered. According to the Department of Health, there was no need for the public to be donning anything. When my mother joked about it, I grumbled about the whole situation until we had passed through security.
As we waited for our flight, my mother decided thought to take advantage of her status as a holder of an American Express card. Despite the fact that the lounge was in the opposite direction of our gate, we made our way to the exclusive lounge. To my utter dismay, I was mistaken for the housekeeper by one of the other guests. I would not be lying to say that I felt a little outraged that such a mistake was made. Yes, I’m of Asian descent but that doesn’t mean I’m automatically the help. But who knows. Maybe the man would have asked the same question if I was of Caucasian appearance. Who knows. At the time, I was filled with indignant outrage at the thought that I had been racially profiled. Instead of challenging the man, however, I merely answered with a simple ‘no’ as I made my way to the restroom.
On the plane, there was a sea of masks. Bowing to the pressure, my mother and I slid on our masks. I didn’t think it was very likely that we would be contracting COVID-19 but even the flight attendants were sporting protective facial masks.
A long eight to nine hours had us finally land in Taoyuan Airport at four in the morning. Mask still in place, we disembarked and made our way through Taiwan quarantine and customs. Just like Australia, Taiwan also had several restrictions on individuals carrying passports from the People’s Republic of China. We were also made to complete and sign a declaration in relation to COVID-19 that threatened a hefty fine if it was discovered that we had lied.
Luggage in hand, it was a long wait for our ride to the Orchard Hotel that we would be staying in for the night. Unable to check in, however, due to the fact that it was not even noon, my mother thought it best to take advantage of the day and squeeze in a little sight-seeing despite the inclement weather.
With the aid of our driver, we arrived in Taipei City at eleven. With our trusty map in hand, we wandered the streets - taking in the sights and sounds of the west side of the city. From Ximending, we stopped first at the Red House as well as a small temple that we could enter via the street. After stopping for lunch, with my mum purchasing a set of beauty masks for the area around the eyes, we visited the back entrance of the Presidential Office.
All in all, it was a fairly quick tour of the immediate area where we had been dropped off. As it was also a Sunday, not many stores were open. And still exhausted by our early start, I was able to quite easily persuade my mother that it was best to head back to our hotel. After all, it was three in the afternoon. Surely, we could check in now?
An express Taipei Main Station had us return to the airport. It was followed by a short taxi ride. Within the hour, we were safely ensconced in our rooms and finally able to rest.
The 17th of February started early as well. With a proper breakfast in our stomachs, our tour began in earnest in Jiufen. It was with mild surprise that I greeted the massive coach that had been prepared. Considering the threat of COVID-19, what had once been a group of roughly thirty had swindled down to seven. Unfortunately, three Canadians had not been able to make their flight. Beyond my mother and I, only another mother-daughter duo joined us. Yes. That’s right. We had a tour group of FOUR. That’s right. You read it correctly. Four. F-O-U-R.
How they were expected to make any profit was a mystery to me. But I’m glad that they decided to continue, even with such small numbers.
A few hasty introductions later, our tour guide going by the name of Jason, provided us an overview of Taiwan and its rich history. Jiufen, the place that he was taking us, was one such place that exemplified its complicated history as a territory that had once belonged to Japan before it was ceded back to China after the Second World War. Located quite close to Taipei, Jiufen is situated atop a winding mountain path that makes it very difficult to navigate with a huge coach. Taiwan, in general, uses scooters more than cars for transportation and it was clear from the narrow alleyways that it is almost a necessity. Just before we reached the car park that was next to the cemetery, our tour guide also provided us with some additional history about the place: from how it got its name to why so many Japanese tourists visited it.
After an extensive shopping trip in Jiufen that had my mother and I nearly frozen in place, our little group headed to the Grand Hotel of Taipei. Embodying Eastern aesthetics, it was a grant palatial building that I had first seen in an episode of Fresh off the Boat. My mother and I spent our allotted time inspecting all that we could of the first two floors. Though there were cafes and stores aplenty, we kept our wallets firmly closed until we finally returned to our bus.
Our next stop was a garden in Shilin. After taking a gander at the myriad tulips on display, my mother and I retreated to a local cafe for something to warm us up. Though not as frothy as the hot chocolates in Australia, I very much enjoyed regaining feeling in my extremities as the beverage heated up my cold freezing body.
Back on the bus, we headed to the next city on our itinerary. Several hours on the road, where I slipped into a micro-sleep and learned a little more of the Canadian duo, we arrived at Nantou where we checked in to our hotel and enjoyed a fairly simple dinner before retiring for the night.
This first glimpse of Taiwan was an enlightening one and filled with a hefty number of surprises. The facial masks were a bit of a nuisance, but to the people living on the island, prevention is probably much better than the lack of a cure. Risking one’s health, along with others is a pretty steep price for purely selfish desires.

I will indicate in a chapter if there is smut in the beginning and before the actual scene!!
I will add trigger warnings if there is any!!
There is a variety of levels of swearing during a chapter, I will not hold back, everyone swears.

By the following morning, Cillian had left early. He wrote a letter to her before he left, stating where he had gone. He made sure to leave the spare key so she could lock up if she left. But she was more than welcome to stay as long as she wanted.
He smiled at her sleeping form, he leaned down and kissed her head and pulled the sheets up higher. He wished he could stay and hold her. But he knew he would get that chance very soon. He turned and left to head up to Manchester for some meeting with the cast and the crew. Before he had some other matters he had to do with some certain people for the coming new year and beyond.
Gabrijela woke up some hours later, stretching across the now cold bed. "Hm... Cillian?" She sat up and rubbed her eyes. She spotted the letter on the bedside table and grabbed it and read it.
She giggled to herself, "You cutie." She said. She spent the morning in bed, going through her phone. Ignoring more messages from Logan.
She finally got up and freshened herself in the bathroom, made breakfast with whatever he had in the pantry and watched some telly.
By afternoon, her phone rang and she saw it was Cillian, "Hi." She hummed.
"Hello, darling." He replied, his voice cheery. "Still at home?"
"Yep. I ate all the food, stealing half of your clothing and that fluffy throw you have on the couch." She teased.
He laughed, "Go ahead. I know where to find you." He said in a way her toes curled.
"Naughty." She giggled. "I'm gonna head back to my apartment soon, I'll keep the key on me in case I need to come back when I miss you." She said, playing with her hair.
"I'll be back by Sunday night. Then I'm off till mid-January. So you got me all to yourself when you leave." He said.
"Okay cool. My plane leaves on the 5th in the afternoon." She said softly.
"I'll be taking you there." She could hear the sadness in his tone, but it was bound to happen. She had to go back.
"I must go, darling. I'll call you later tonight, yeah?" He asked.
"Yeah. I'll be waiting." She smiled, "Bye, Cillian."
"Bye-bye." He said and hung up.
The week was slow, she had caught up with some of the friends she had made. Logan tagged along, but she kept conversation with him short. It was clear he was pretty broken over the whole thing and tried many times to talk to her. Eventually, she gave in, despite her heartbreaking she invited him for dinner. They talked and mended their wounds before they finished the night with a good session of finishing off Supernatural. He stayed the night and she was glad they could part as good friends.
Sunday night, Gabrijela made a grand meal before Cillian came home. Lasagne with plenty of cheese that she managed to find from his hometown. Red wine she found in his wine rack, which was his favourite.
She set the table up and lit some candles, put on some romantic music. She was dressed in a suede green skirt with a split at the thigh, then a white off the shoulder crop top with flared sleeves. Beneath it, she wore a newly bought lingerie set that consisted of a strapless lace bodice with a floral design with a matching thong.
She went to the front door, waiting beside the stairs as the door unlocked and Cillian walked in with his suitcase. He looked up and gasped softly, "Gabrijela." He gave her a charming smile as he pulled the suitcase in and left it beside the door as he shut it. He took off his beanie he wore.
"Hello, welcome home." She cupped his face and kissed him sweetly.
His arms wrapped around her and hugged her tightly, one hand placed between her shoulder blades as he tipped her back.
"I could get used to this greeting." He murmured against her lips as he pecked them again.
"Good. I plan to do this often." She helped him out of his coat and hung it over the wooden railing on the stairs.
"And the smell..." He sniffed, "You cooked?"
"I did. Come on." She took his hand.
"Damn. Gabrijela... You didn't need to." He saw what she had done.
"I wanted to. You've been busy all week. It's only fair for you to come home to something delicious." She giggled.
"You mean yourself or the food?" He pulled her close.
"Cheeky man." She kissed him again. "Let's eat."
The night was cozy and they ended it with a glass of red before the fire. She had set up the living room with pillows all around and a throw. Despite the romantic mood she had set out and a plan to do other things, she could see Cillian was tired and managed to get him to get comfy and sleep.
It was her turn to hold him before she also drifted to sleep.
Birthday Girl
Cillian surprised her morning with a gift. She giggled as she sat kneeling on the floor, "You didn't need to." She said.
"Hush. Open it." He said, kneeling in front of her. Music played in the background.
She first read the letter and her heart melted. It was very sweet and beautiful. She unwrapped the wrapping then popped open the box before she let out a gasp.
"Cillian, oh god..." Inside the box was a gold chain, with a fairly large opal with such vibrant colours. The pendant was of a sunburst, and within the points were smaller pieces of opal. "Oh my god. It's beautiful." She cried, a hand over her mouth. Then she looked up at him and threw her arms around his neck.
He smiled and hugged her, "Do you like it?"
"Cillian. I don't like it, I love it! It's perfect! God this must've cost you so much. God. Cillian. It's stunning." She was in a total loss for words. "You really got a keen eye." She added. She had eyed the pendant a while back, and he must've picked up how much she loved it.
"Let me put it on." He said and took the box. He pulled the chain out and went behind her as he laid it around her neck.
His fingers brushed the nape of her neck, she reached up to touch the pendant gently.
Cillian kissed her bare shoulder, "You deserve so much more." He murmured, and she turned to him. His heart melted at her beautiful smile and pulled her in for a kiss.
"I best get ready." She giggled and stood. "Thank you again, Cillian."
"Don't thank me. You don't need to." He said and she giggled and hurried upstairs to change. She had already packed her bags for the next couple of days, and some presents she managed to buy for his family.
She changed into a wine-red turtle neck jumper tucked into a high-waist black and white checkered pant and white trainers. She made sure her necklace was visible before she grabbed her bag and headed down.
Cillian had chosen to dress in black jeans, a blue sweater and then a black leather looking jacket on top with a checkered pattern within.
"Cutie." She said and stepped close, kissing him sweetly.
"Beautiful." He smiled and kissed her cheek as they made their way out.
Taking the Tube, they got off at Westminster Abbey before they got onto a boat to have breakfast on the Thames.
Once they arrived back, she was all giddy from the ride.
"Really good food. Where are we going now?" She asked.
"You'll see." He said and they walked until they reached Trafalgar Square. He took her towards the museum.
"Cillian, no." She gasped. She had wanted to go here, but she never got the chance to. Lucia didn't like these things, but she did.
"Gabrijela, yes." He drawled out, laughing at her reaction.
"You are spoiling me too much!" She stayed close to his side as they entered the building. They wandered around, admiring the paintings, and Cillian took some stylish photos of her. He still found it odd from the angles and close up's she wanted but he enjoyed it either way.
When she was standing before a large painting, he swept her in his arms and kissed her.
She smiled as she wrapped her arms around his neck, "What was that for?" She asked as they broke apart. Some old ladies gave them odd looks.
"Cause I wanted to." He rubbed his nose against hers.
She sighed in delight as they finished their tour of the museum. Next stop was Waterstones across the Square. After some new books she bought, they headed up to Oxford Street and Bond Street for the rest of the afternoon.
"I honestly don't know how I'm gonna fit this in my suitcase." She said as they headed home in a taxi. "I hope it's not gonna cost me if I go over the scale."
"You can always send things back." He said.
"True. Maybe I'll do that. God knows what else I'll find in Cork." She laughed.
They took a quick stop at her apartment so she could drop off the things she had bought today. She made sure she had everything locked up and her valuables were kept at his home. Everything else was just clothing.
Back into the taxi, they continued on.
It began to pour when they got to the front door of his house, they were lucky to have clear skies all day.
Gabrijela started up the fire and turned on the lights on the Christmas Tree and the lights in the window and outside.
Every year she would go to midnight mass with her family, not once she had missed it. And tonight she would do it despite being exhausted and needing to be up early tomorrow.
They had dinner before the fire, Cillian cooking. Then she refreshed herself and off to church they went. Cillian wasn't big on religion but he had thought the ceremony was nice. As well as her singing.
They retired for the night, cuddling in bed. She was dressed in one of his shirts.
"Today was perfect." She said softly.
"I'm glad you liked it. I tried to squeeze in everything you mentioned you liked to do." He ran his fingers along her back.
"You did an amazing job, Cillian. I cannot believe you would do all that for me." She looked up at him.
"I care a lot for you and I... I wanted to make you feel special today." He kissed her softly.
She melted into the kiss, "I really like you, Cillian. Like a lot." She admitted softly. She wasn't ready for the three words, yet.
"I really like you to, Gabrijela. More than anyone and anything." He held her hand to his chest.
She smiled and laid her head down on his shoulder, the pendant resting between her breasts. Warm and safe.
Like how she was right now in his arms.
She wasn't sure how she was going to feel when she would have to leave him behind. But she didn't want to think about that right now, she would remember the moment and enjoy it while it lasted.
Sleep overtook her and she had a smile planted on her face all night long.

The Right Moment
This is my first time doing the event but I'm glad I got to share my favorite Fairy Tail couple into this story with @doginshoe and art with @Silhouette
NALU/GRUVIA Big Bang Event
@nalugruviaevents
Characters: Natsu Dragneel and Lucy Heartfillia
Genre: Romance/Fluff
Word Count: 2K
Summary: Natsu and Lucy enjoying one of their dates around the world and they enjoy their last trip to Paris whereas Natsu tries to find the right moment to tie the knot. Modern AU
The Right Moment
“To the world, you may be one person but to one person, you are the world.” ~ Bill Wilson
“Ladies and Gentlemen, we are now arriving in Paris, France. We hope you enjoy the rest of the trip with us.” announced the pilot on the speaker as a particular couple spotted the Eiffel Tower and the glamorous lights of Paris. Natsu Dragneel and Lucy Heartfillia are currently on a plane that is leading them to enjoy their date in the city of love. Just before going to Paris, they had their dates at New York City, Rio de Janeiro, Sydney, Cairo, and Hong Kong and now they are heading to their last destination which is Paris.
“I can’t believe we’re actually here Natsu. Huh? Natsu are you ok?” Lucy turned her head to her right to see Natsu feeling motion sickness and is trying to find the barf bag on his plane seat.
“Lucy…...are we almost on land? I’m not feeling so good. Blergh” Natsu puked on the barf bag.
“Hang in there Natsu. We’re almost there,” replied Lucy as she uses her right hand to massage his back as he continues puking into the barf bag.
After a few minutes on the plane landed and the couple grabbed their bags and called for a taxi, they started sightseeing the city while the taxi took them to their hotel for the trip. But unknown to Lucy, Natsu uses this opportunity to pop the question to Lucy. He tried to ask her several times at their previous dates but every time he tried to, it always ends up in a disaster or a failure.
In New York City, they went to Central Park to enjoy the view of the city. And while he tried to bring up the ring, a group of dogs in which were run loose by their owners ran towards him causing Natsu to trip over and bumped his head.
In Rio, while visiting the lagoons for relaxation time, once again he tried to bring up the perfect moment but instead, he forgot to bring the ring with him in which he almost left it at the restaurant they ate earlier.
In Cairo, they went to visit the three pyramids of Giza. In the meantime, while Natsu brings up the topic, a local official announced the couple that a sandstorm is coming and they had sought shelter immediately causing him to glare at the officer and almost causing a ruckus.
In Sydney, after visiting the Sydney Opera House for a concert and going to Bondi Beach, they were at the zoo seeing amazing animals until a kangaroo went loose and ended up knocking Natsu unconscious while getting the ring out from his pocket.
In Hong Kong, while seeing the view of the city and the sea as they were at a restaurant eating chicken and spring roll. For Natsu, it was the right moment to ask her but when he was about to take action, a female customer bumped into a waitress, who was carrying a bowl of egg drop soup, causing her to drop the soup on Natsu's head.
Now, for him, it was the right setting, time and moment to ask Lucy the question. Or so what he thought it would be.
“atsu...Hey Natsu are you listening to me?” asked Lucy
“Huh? Oh no I didn’t. Sorry, Luce, I was just thinking about our day today.”
“Oh ok….well what I said earlier was that since our 5 year anniversary is coming tomorrow, I was thinking since such an important day is coming up, I was thinking of going to the Eiffel Tower to enjoy the Paris sky view of the city. Or do you have another plan for tomorrow?” said Lucy.
‘Looks like she had a plan ready for tomorrow but I have a schedule which I planned that months ago but I don’t want to make sad for our anniversary. I want to make this a moment she won’t ever forget for the rest of her life.’ thought Natsu. “You know what Lucy? Why don’t we do the things you have planned today and for tomorrow, we do the stuff that I have planned instead. What do you think?”
“Oh, you had something planned for tomorrow as well?”
“Yeah I was going to tell you at the plane but you were sleeping so peacefully that I didn’t want to disturb you sleeping.”
“Aw, that’s so sweet of you Natsu. But I guess we can to today’s activities and then tomorrow we can do your plan for the day.”
“Alright then. It’s settled then. Now let’s take a quick nap cause I’m exhausted after that plane ride.”
“Right now?!”
“Yep just a quick nap...Zzzzzzz”
“Asleep already?!”
Natsu was already sleeping and snoring with drool already coming out of his mouth soaking the pillow a little, in the king-sized bed, fast asleep already from the exhaustion from the plane route they took. Lucy rolls her eyes and decides to join her boyfriend as well. Soon, they started to take in a peaceful slumber.
Later, after almost 2 hours of sleeping, the couple headed out to start their routine in Paris. They started off their routine by going to the Louvre for art sightseeing, taking pictures of incredible paintings and doing silly faces while discussing the Mona Lisa painting, after that they headed off to see the Notre Dame, admiring its beauty in sculpture and building designs. Later, Lucy suggested to eat somewhere so that they can have enough energy to last the entire day together. So they went to a small restaurant where Natsu had trouble getting his French right to tell the waitress what they wanted so Lucy had to fill in the waitress for them luckily.
"Once again, I'm being saved by my girlfriend."
"•giggling• That's because I did take more than one language back in high school and college."
"Yeah yeah I know. I know. I even didn't know you took those classes and yet I went to learn my French as well but still I didn't know a thing about it."
"Oh you. Sometimes you're so adorable when you pouted in a cute way Natsu."
"•blushes• Shut up you're making me red here all of a sudden."
After finishing their meals, the sun was setting down and Lucy checked her wristwatch and it was around 7 PM.
"Well would you look at that it's already 7 o'clock. I guess one more fun activity would do. I guess. What do you think Natsu?"
"Hmm, I suppose we should go on small boat ride they have here."
"Oh that sounds like fun. Let's go then"
"Lucy wait for me!!!"
"Sorry about that Natsu. I just get so excited that I can't help it but just go along with it."
"No no it's cool. Just don't run off like that. I was kind of worried that you might get hurt back there."
Natsu and Lucy are on a riverboat that allows them to enjoy the city's beautiful light streets reflecting in the water in all sorts of colors.
"My bad."
"Well as long as we're both having fun then it's good then."
"Yeah I'm glad we're both enjoying this vacation together."
"I feel the same way Luce."
They both continued to watch the city's lights. But at the same time, Natsu checked his pants pockets to see that the small box hidden there was safe and sound. He decided that this was the right moment so he decided to go for it.
"You know Lucy, I've been meaning to ask you something."
"Yeah what is it Natsu?"
"We've been going out together for almost 5 years and since we graduated from college this past month, I decided that I want to spend my life with you not now but for eternity."
"Natsu what are you trying to say?"
"The thing that I am trying to say is...that...would you...would you give the honor in becoming my w-"
"Hey you, watch out!!!"
The boat bumped against a small boulder along the riverside causing the boat to shake a little before the conductor blamed the boulder for crossing the way. And this also caused Natsu to trip and bumped his head with a pole that was in the way as well and passed out after a few seconds.
"Oh my, that was close. Natsu? Natsu where are you...Oh my gosh Natsu wake up! Wake up!"
Natsu opened his eyes afterwards and realized that he was back in their hotel room with the window signaling them that it's night already. Lucy came in with a cup of tea and some snacks when she saw Natsu up and awake.
"Natsu you're awake." Lucy sets down the tea and snacks and went to check up on her boyfriend.
"Hey Luce. Ugh my head hurts. What happened?"
"Well you see…"
She started to explain that after she saw him unconscious she called for the conductor to stop at the finished course spot of the route. The conductor insisted on telling her to take Natsu to the hospital but she told him that she handle a guy like Natsu and told the taxi driver to take them back to their room to spend the night. And Natsu was unconscious for an hour or less.
'Man every time I bring in the right and exact moment to ask her, something always has to happen.'
"So that was it?"
"Yeah but I'm glad that you're not hurt or anything. By the way, what were you going to tell me back there?"
'Crap she is asking me this already but I have the box in my pockets which is here right now but I want to bring it up for the right time and this is not the right time.'
"Well you see Lucy, I was going to ask if you can tell if you...um...if you enjoyed today so far? There yep."
Lucy looks at him with a curious look and tells him
"Oh I had a great time. It was a fun and amazing day so far. Thank you Natsu." She gives him a warm hug
"•nervous chuckle• Yeah anytime Luce." He returns the hug while mentally sighed in relief as he thinks about what would become of tomorrow if he brings out the question.
'Glad she didn't notice, oh well tomorrow would be the exact moment to do so.'
The next day, the two woke up with seeing each other spending the night cuddling with one another. As they realize this, they simply smile and shared a morning but tender kiss.
After eating breakfast, they decided to spend the day with Natsu's plans of the day including the trip to the Eiffel Tower in which Lucy has no idea what surprise will hit her when Natsu brings up the moment to ask her.
"So Natsu, what plans do you have in mind for today?"
"You'll see what I have planned for today."
Natsu said as he pulled Lucy outside to start his planned day for her.
They went to the park to enjoy a few shows and musical performances France had to offer, they went to see a movie in French which luckily has English subtitles, and they even went to a local bakery to enjoy some delicious cakes, bread and blueberry pies. And finally their last activity of the day was the sky viewing Eiffel Tower. And according to Natsu, he heard that a fireworks spectacular display show would be showing to the public around 9 PM. And for him, he found this opportunity perfect for the right moment for Lucy.
"Hey Lucy, to end our day of fun, how about we go to the Eiffel Tower, I heard there's going to be a fireworks show around 9 PM would you like to go with me?"
"Fireworks while watching it from the tower? Sounds like fun. I would love to go."
"Well what are we waiting for? Let's go Luce."
He and Lucy arrived to the base of the tower around 7 PM and after they got their tickets, Natsu asked if they can go the tallest floor of the tower and which he asked perfectly in French, the man answered with a yes and they headed to their destination. By the time they got at the top, there were a few people mostly couples or small families but it was a perfect opportunity for Natsu. It was 8:30 pm.
After enjoying the view of the city skyline from the top of the tower, Natsu finally checked around his surroundings and checked if he still has the box with the ring in it, luckily it's safe once again.
'Alright Natsu this is it. This is IT. This is your moment to ask her. No distractions. No interruptions. No nothing. Just me and her. And with the fireworks in less than 10 minutes, things would go great. Ok here goes nothing.'
Natsu grabs both of Lucy's hands and faces her towards him.
"Natsu what's wrong?"
"Lucy Heartfilia. From the moment I met you, my heart was beating like crazy and somehow my heart was saying that you are the one for me. And I need you in my life. Surprisingly you fell in love with me too. And I'm grateful for that. And 5 years of dating was the best moment of my entire life. And I decided to make the next step in our lives."
Lucy looks at him with a surprised look and tries to hold her tears from falling from her chocolate eyes.
"So Luce, what I am trying to say and I finally got the chance to say but I just want you to know…(takes out the box from his jeans pockets and opens it to reveal a beautiful golden ring with a pink heart shaped gem in the center with orange swirls on the sides that looked like flames) will you marry me Lucy Heartfilia?"
Lucy fails to hold her tears and lets them fall down from her eyes and covers her mouth with both of her hands and smiles at the same time.
"Oh my gosh, Natsu. *sniffs* You're really the sweetest guy I've ever met and my answer is obvious. Why yes Natsu. Of course I would love to marry you."
"Really?! You accept?"
"Is that a stupid question? Why yes I would marry you, you big dummy."
"Well then, hold still so I can put the ring on your finger."
Natsu grabs Lucy's left hand and slips the ring in her ring finger. Once he was finished, the fireworks come up in the sky as the two of them just looked at each other and leaned to share a romantic kiss. Not as boyfriend and girlfriend but now as fiance and fiancee.
"By the way Natsu…" asked Lucy after they shared a kiss.
"I knew you were going to propose to me."
"What?! How?!"
"Every time you try to find the right moment to ask me during our trips, a distraction comes to you. Am I correct?"
Natsu blushes and looks away.
"Was it that obvious?"
"Not really but I'm glad there is nothing to distract or interrupt us now."
"Yeah and finally you're mine Lucy Dragneel."
"Looking forward to our wedding day you big dummy."
After that they shared a hug and enjoyed the rest of their day with the fireworks in the sky.
♡ End
Epilogue
"Hey Gray?"
"Yeah what's up?"
"I finally asked her. And guess what no interruptions."
"Congrats flamebrain. You actually did it."
"Thanks ice freak. Oh by the way, when are you going to stop being a coward and ask Juvia out on a date."
"T-thats none of your business you idiot!!!"
'Gray you moron. You've been the coward for 5 years. Just go and ask her you dumbass.'
"Was that Gray, Natsu?" asked Lucy
"Yeah it was."
"He hasn't asked Juvia out on a date?"
"Nope the ice freak is being a sissy when it comes to love."
"Oh Gray. I hope he doesn't mess things up with her."
"Don't worry Luce, I'm sure he'll make it through. As long as he confess, then I'm going to be able to brag to Gajeel and Jellal when we get back on how Gray is a sissy when love is in his way." (Starts to laugh)
"Oh Natsu. (Starts to laugh with him as well)
