Lights Out - Old Factory 1

Bette: Tonight we are going to discuss the rumors about the old factory, stay tuned! Eve: You are not going to want to miss it. B: This is Bette. E: This is Eve. B & E: And this is Lights Out!

B: Now, I know many of the folks of Marrowstone are not browsing the forums or whatever else kids do these days. E: Oh, now you are making us sound old! B: But there has been some rumors regarding the old factory. In fact they are saying that someone wants to tear it down! E: How would they even manage something like that? B: I know. I know. This comes as a shock. It was a shock to me too. Why would you? It’s a piece of history. This town had once thrived because of it. But nothing can last forever. E: But that brings up so many other questions. How would you tear it down? It’s been decades! The roads to it are long gone and that’s quite a hike. B: A hike indeed. So much so that even in the case of the unfortunate disappearances of Abigail Biggons and Travis Gatten, it was never released if someone had checked the old factory at all! E: Now, that isn’t to say we don’t have faith that a thorough search was conducted. B: Of course. E: But that goes to say how dangerous it is that far out. Not to mention they would have to tear out what is now the only thing keeping this town alive! B: Everyone adores the park so much. It really is our main attraction. And when we needed to raise money for the library, what better way than a hike through that forest? It really is something special. E: We have reached out to some very important people of the town to ask about the rumors. And to put you all at ease, nothing is happening to the old factory. But this has raised some other important questions! B: Exactly, Eve. Why are we keeping this old factory around if no one can even get to it? It’s no use to anyone and it is a safety hazard by this point. E: That’s why I think we should discuss clearing the old road, Bette. Could you imagine having access to such a piece of history. And of course, have it inspected and repaired. But that could help draw some people into town. B: And as always, we would love to know your thoughts on this, Marrowstone!
