Seeing the “cerebrocrustaceans are highly territorial” headcanon slowly start to pick up more steam (albeit with a split as to whether they’re so cliquey and ride-or-die they view everyone who isn’t in their in-group as a potential threat until they’ve made it abundantly clear that they mean no harm or if they despise any sort of group collaboration unless it’s absolutely, positively necessary) makes me wonder if it’s a common stereotype by the galactic audience to view them as being massive pricks to everyone they meet. Like, oh, everyone on Encephalonus-IV hates each other’s guts and they’re incessantly rude to anyone and everyone they come across! They’re so petty and envious they can’t stand the thought of anyone being better at them than anything and delight in the suffering and misfortune of people they don’t like! They fly into murderous rages if a galvan so much as breathes on them, and if they weren’t such cowards, they’d nuke Galvan Prime into oblivion only to immediately start yet another rivalry with some other species for one reason or another!
Hah! Doesn’t help their case that Dr Psychobos became very well known thanks to the super famous superhero Ben 10!
But no yeah with galvans being the cold detached sort of smart, especially with their prevalence in intergalactic relationships (you don’t become the smartest being in not one but multiple galaxies by sitting alone in your room), what comparatively little interaction to the wider galactic sphere cerebrocrustaceans have has more expectations than if the galvans were more subtle in their influence. If you’ve heard how much of an grumpy old man scientist the First Thinker is, especially when you hear about one of his creations striking out against him due to neglect, well you’ve already started to get the picture of an isolated workspace that no one dares interrupt.
So then you come face to face with a snappy cerebrocrustacean scientist who’s rude, direct, and hovering over your shoulder making sure you don’t fuck up, well you won’t really find many cases of neglect when everything you do is under scrutiny. I guess the difference between my headcanon and @ohyeahben10 ‘s headcanon would be if you can endure the territorial… hostility may not be the right word, the fact that you’re in the same space as a cerebrocrustacean at work is already more than what they’d typically give, in my headcanon sphere you could potentially get past that barrier and transition from outgroup to ingroup; I don’t know exactly what’s in ohyeah’s head but I assume given his headcanons she might say that you practically could never get on a cerebrocrustacean’s good side, or at least not as close as an ingroup would suggest-
Either or, it’s gonna leave a bad first impression, and that is how the stereotype for being prickish is so widespread. Potentially, if a notable cerebrocrustacean scientist works intergalactically, the stereotype may narrow to Encephalonus IV having a very dickish social culture.
#ask#anonymous#cerebrocrustacean#encephalonus iv#ben 10#hope i pronouned you right ohyeah (or whatever shorthand name you’d prefer- central or sceathered idk)#but right yeah being territorial sucks for your reputation but it’s probably why scientists aren’t representatives#which might have to bite the bullet and fight against the instinct to be territorial- or at least innately not be as much#then again they’re collectively a rather smart intelligent species so maybe scientists are representatives#i think i like thinking about cerebrocrustaceans (god it’s such a long name)#it’s not going to beat out petrosapiens anytime soon but with galvans in canon getting a lot of focus#imagining what makes cerebrocrustaceans different besides appearance is really neat#i like thinking they’re like cliquey scientists- mostly because aside from medical doctors i don’t see a lot of big science teams in galvan#like it seems to be mostly kept to two either it’s the first thinker and their assistant#or it’s blukic and driba as the technicians (r&d?) of plumber earth base#i mean technically dr psychobos was completely alone in regards to the sciencing part#having malware hunt for the omnitrix schematics and have khyber literally hunt the omnitrix wielder#but like i don’t think i can base all cerebrocrustaceans after dr psychobos#because well i don’t think everyone on ecephalonis iv hates galvans- djw even said they don’t have a rivalry#but it’s fun i like cerebrocrustaceans (god is there anyway to shorten the name)

Don't get me wrong, I love Blukic and Driba, I would've preferred an episode with Tetrax and Gluto and seeing what they get up to.

Have Blinky and Dictatious been told they act like Blukic and Driba?
They absolutely have. Both wanted to protest but fell silent when the two Galvan start arguing then Jim plays a recording of an argument between the two brothers. Neither Blinky or Dictatious could detest afterwards.

What exactly are Blugick, (apologies if i spelled it wrong) Driba, and Luhley getting up to in this rewrite?
Blukic and Driba would still be introduced in the Omniverse Era, since while some characters working knowing about them ahead of time, Blukic and Driba still working with being known later in the series. Especially since Omniverse really tackles a lot of everyday galaxy stuff being the norm. Blukic and Driba I'm fond the idea that they are still really smart, it's just a lot of their ideas are unconventional, and not something many galvans appreciate. Hence why Azmuth took interest in them, and was the one who recommended them to the Plumbers, knowing they'd learn and grow better with Ben on earth. Plus, they're not as prideful or prejudice as most galvans, so they fit in with the Plumbers quite well. Ben wasn't too fond of them at first, but that was also when he wasn't too fond of Rook, still getting use to all the changes he was facing. But he comes around to being their friend, learning a lot from them, and happy to see Azmuth also growing as a person through them. Meanwhile Luhley would eventually follow in their footsteps and join the Plumbers, though not by Azmuth's recommendation. Luhley is smart, but her kind of smart is for the battle field, which is common for most guard galvans back home. But their jobs aren't highly praised or anything. They're not looked down on, but as you can imagine most galvan families enjoy it more when their kids become doctors and scientists. Luhley is cold and calculated, and knows exactly where to shoot to kill a dude when needed. It took a while for her to warm up to people, but Blukic, Driba and Ben helped bring her out of her shell, appreciating the help she brings to the table.

My favorite Ben 10 Episodes would be
"Ready To Rumble" for the original
"Save The Last Dance" for Alien Force
"Enemy Of My Frenemy" and "Prisoner 775 Is Missing" for Ultimate Alien
And competitors for my favorite in Omniverse are "Showdown Part 2", "Tummy Trouble", "While You Were Away", "Mud Is Thicker Than Water", "Charmed, I'm Sure", "Collect This", "Blukic And Driba Go To Area 51", "Rook Tales", "The Ballad Of Mister Baumann", "Vreedlemania", "Third Times The Charm" and "The Final Countdown"
Can you tell Omniverse is my favorite of the series-?
Also the one thing I actually liked from the Reboot was the Alien World shorts that expanded on the Aliens' species and their home planets-
[nod nod] Thank you for sharing :D

Here are some episode titles for Ben 10: intergalactic adventures.
Corrodium conundrum. Ben and the others encounter the mummy, the very same one he fought when he was 10 years old. He was using Corrodium to mutate people and animals to attack innocent people in the vicinity!
A howling ambush. Ben and the others encounter the werewolf, the very same one he fought when he was 10 around the time he first met Kai, his one true love.
Slix Vigma strikes again. Ben and the others were abducted by Slix Vigma and brought onto his ship known as the Megacruiser, where he takes aliens from other planets and makes them battle to the death and never lets them escape. He even puts shock collars on them too. Will they all work together to stop Slix Vigma and escape his ship?
Double Detrovite trouble. Ben was excited because his pal Technorg was coming to visit, but he’s getting into a fight with Vulkanus.
Ssserpent slithers away. Our heroes encounter a snake alien called Ssserpent, the snake that walks like a man. He was on the attack, blinding people with his snake venom.
A Galvan double date. Driba & Blukic were excited for their double date with Luhley and her cousin Duffy. But the Megawatts from Sparksville escaped from the giant light bulb and were on the loose, making mischief everywhere they go!
New aliens galore! Ben is very excited because he’s unlocked a bunch of brand new aliens in his Omnitrix.
Ben 23’s visit. Ben’s alternative counterpart from dimension 23 was brought to visit us thanks to parallel world Azmuth.
The Bad Ben Tennyson. An alternate Ben Tennyson called bad Ben came and he’s causing trouble.
Mad Ben’s escape from Benwood. Mad Ben came to cause trouble with his aliens from his power watch and Mad Rook volunteers to help our heroes catch him.
Bizarre Benzarro. Benzarro came to scare kids and wreak havoc.

It’s fascinating to delve into the multiverse of “Ben 10: Omniverse”! 🌌👾 Let’s break down the cosmic components of this animated series:
Style Shifts and Ultimatrix Nostalgia:
The change in style—bigger heads, different eyes—didn’t bother you, which is refreshing. Some fans were more vocal about it, but hey, art evolves like alien forms!
Speaking of transformations, the Ultimatrix aliens took a backseat. It’s like they got lost in the cosmic shuffle. Maybe they’re off having their own adventures in alternate dimensions!
Rook, Blukic, and Driba:
Rook, the by-the-book partner, didn’t win you over. His “human world cluelessness” didn’t quite click. But Blukic and Driba? They’re the comedic MVPs! Their quirky antics kept the humor alive.
Hex’s Redemption and Gwevin Adventures:
Hex, the once-villainous sorcerer, turned professor and good guy. Redemption arcs are like cosmic course corrections!
Gwen and Kevin’s adventures? Gwevin fans rejoiced! Their dynamic added depth to the series. Plus, Argit’s rat-bastard humor—priceless.
UAF Continuity and New Baddies:
UAF’s deep analogies were your jam. But “Omniverse” didn’t quite hit that mark. The Rooter arc retconned, and the Vreedle Brothers and Charmcaster went back to their villainous ways.
New baddies like Trombozo, cat girl (who’s probably busy chasing yarn), Fistrick, and Billy Billions? They needed more cosmic flair.
Chronosapien Time Bomb and Professor Paradox:
Ah, the Chronosapien time bomb arc—timey-wimey goodness! And Professor Paradox? His presence made the universe fold in on itself (in a good way).
Aro Ben and Cosmic Endings:
Ben’s Aroflux vibes—can’t keep attraction straight. Maybe he’s too busy battling aliens to decipher his heart.
The slimebiote guy? A gooey delight! And the series finale—everything converging—narratively satisfying.
Character Wishlist and Cosmic Therapy:
Kai could’ve been better, Elena deserved more screen time, and Jinx and Raven cameo? Universes colliding!
Alan’s spin-off special? Sign us up! And Ben—therapy, stat! Remaking the universe takes a toll.
Your “Ben 10: Omniverse” TED Talk? A cosmic hit! 🚀 Thanks for sharing your thoughts across dimensions. Now, let’s all transform into our favorite aliens and explore the Omniverse together! 🌠👽
