I need ya'll to understand this! Corvids in general, but especially Ravens are my favorite birds and some of my favorite animals. People seem to think that these idiotic precious disasters have it out for you. No. That's bluejays, they hate everyone.

Ravens are dumbass, disheveled scavengers who will trip while trying to fly out of a tree and are basically the perpetually confused, flying version of a raccoon.

Crows are adorable little babies who'll come and stare at you in flocks to beg for peanuts with their precious little eyes and will sometimes do flying tricks just for the heck of it.

Both of them are somehow both incredibly intelligent creatures and incredibly stupid creatures with this kind of endearing charm that can only be described as "being cringe and fail makes me more lovable." They're all just little guys, for Pete's sake!

I'm like two stages into canto vii and I want to let everyone who's never touched Don Quixote know that "In which Don Quixote has an adventure with this person, among other amusing matters" is the style of every Don Quixote chapter title. "Which treats the life and the contracts of the not-so-famous-but-valiant Don Quixote", stage 1, seems to be parodying "Concerning the famous hidalgo Don Quixote de la Mancha's position, character and way of life", chapter 1 of the book, in particular. I really hope they do this for every single stage it's so fun

Very happy right now

#I’m always scared to say these things but for like ten days in a row one of my major symptoms has changed back to my old normal #on the next less stressful day I’m going to try to go back to my old morning routine instead of the one it forced on me #and hopefully this means I’ll soon be back to making breakfast myself and journaling and being happy in the mornings which would #help make absolutely everything feel better even if it means being sick all afternoon yknow #better just the afternoon than morning and afternoon #I think ten days is long enough for it to be a pattern #plus it’s foggy and cold this morning so I don’t feel like I’ve been attacked by sunlight and sweat #and I’m watching a bluejay from the window #a few weeks ago I went downstairs for my med water myself instead of having to ask for help getting it and I think that was the beginning #of it changing so it’s like a continuing thing

do some people really live in places where there are no wild animals?? like, even downtown, i see sparrows all the time despite trees being mostly absent. rats at night. turkey vultures above our heads. wasps and mosquitoes. spiders of all kinds licherally in every possible corner and inch of all buildings. ???

actually it's so refreshing to have figured out that pretty much every character I dislike is part of the same archetype bc they're usually extremely popular characters and so I would sit there like "why does everyone like this character and I don't? am I just being contrarian?" NOPE

#bluejay chirpin #this realization came from playing the splatoon 3 grand fest and hoping that team present wouldn't win #i asked myself why and figured out it was because i don't really like pearl very much #it was like #man if i ever say this off the hook fans are going to kill me- WAIT A SEC #i do think everyone loving these characters contributes to it #because theyre usually extremely aware that people love them. which makes them more insufferable #axel kh. pearl splatoon. roland lor. sonic the hedgehog. the sarcastic and full of themself siblings #sonic is actually an interesting case because i used to HATE him but then i read so much analysis from someone i know who loves sonic #that i started to understand him better and it went down from hate to something much more mild #yeah i know sonic is a teen. being a teen does not mean you have to make jokes at other people's expense #a lot of these characters have their reasons for being a little shit (usually either compensating for something or to hide other feelings)#understanding that does not make the attitude any more endearing to me
