Bluefoot was named by @elementaldeityoffood who had the idea of 'Blue' going against 'Red' as in his mentor, Redscar.

Bluefoot was apprenticed to Redscar shortly after Flowerstar became leader, aka shortly after the short canon story where Redscar faked a sign.

Bluekit knew this, but never said anything--that is until Bluefoot was an adult and fell in love with a loner that he would meet up with on his way to the Moonstone.

Redscar told him that Starclan wouldn't approve, and Bluefoot responded that they--and the Clan--also wouldn't approve if they knew that their medicine cat faked a sign.

In spite of having leverage against one another and a very tense period in their lives, Bluefoot and Redscar were close.

Bluefoot is also the late-in-life son of Hazebird! Hazebird had never truly moved on from Blossomtuft's death, but had a kit to ensure the future of the Clan.

I think Eddie once told me they thought my online name was Mars because of my main blog title and made me realize I kind of dropped the ball by not having my online name be Mars. that would have been so cool

Well, then how about a Bluestar? : )

Finally got the inspo to get a design down for her. I love Blue a lot, always been one of my favorites of all time. Sorry this took so long!

-She takes heavily after Stormtail with her blue fur and darker mask. The stripe down her back directly from him as well. But she has her mother’s white spots, fluff, and mane of fur

-Mix of smooth fur and sharp fluff, certain ones shaped like crescent moons like on the back of her paws and chest. Has even markings with scattered spots yet another nod to her personality and character

-Her iconic scarred shoulder but also one on her lip and a tear in her ear. The one on her ear from the battle she fought beside Snowfur/paw so long ago and her lip one from Tigerclaw’s betrayal. Heavily thought about scarred her star mark but decided not to since she does recover her faith eventually, plus I think the marking looks cool as it is

-Bluestar in life to me never acknowledged her sexuality or gender, the clans at that point were definitely not progressive and most mollies were expected to be moms or be leaders they’re were no distinctions. You either had to be the best or a mom. Later though once she passed and recovered a lot from her trauma she started acknowledging who she was. She is aroace and agender using she/her (hc that Rosetail was her therapist in the afterlife and helped her a lot)

-Not a fan of any ships with her. BlueRose is okay but I prefer SnowRose and YellowBlue I like in the both queer platonic therapy partners for each other. Not a OakBlue fan as a actual relationship but I think that plot point is interesting (even if it made yet another female character a mom/mate)

(ID- Bluestar is a sleek and sharp tall cat with blue fur and white speckles, scars across her lip, shoulder, and ear. She is standing to the left with her head titled to the right, tail going up and hanging down, and paws in a powerful stance. She is dull blue with a richer blue on her back, head, ears, chin, tail, front legs, and back legs in a wave like marking. Darker blue is on her shoulder, face in a mask with a stripe going from her eye, ear tips, most of her tail, front paws, and back legs in a wave like marking. White is on her nose and goes up with a diamond star marking right on her forehead, chest, belly, tail tip, and front paws, everywhere else is white speckles mostly on her chest, eye, back, front paws, and tail. The background is a dull cyany blue with the colors used to the right and faint signature “nightly ruse” over her side. End ID)

anyway here are 36 days of weird lil guys so far (as of a couple days ago, this just looked so neat and tidy as a 6x6 grid)

I also might make a Clangen for cats following Rainstar's Burden, at least the ones who haven't already had kits to give me some ideas.

There's more in the Clan like older characters, but these are the ones I could fit and want to explore.

Flowerstar is the kit of Elderchirp and Birdsun, therefore a Cedarsky+Mossflake descendant

Rosemouse is Snowstar (the previous leader and leader after Rainstar)'s brother and brother to Tanglebounce and Shiningmoth who is unseen. He is a kit of Silverwhisker and Runningcloud and therefore a descendant of Rainstar.

Bluefoot is the son of Tanglebounce and is Rosemouse's nephew. He has the same ancestors.

He is the deputy, an interesting choice considering Flowerstar killed Snowstar--it was established she felt guilt, and probably chose him because of that.

Olivetree and Mara are both former kittypets while Gladebush was a loner. They were offered a home in the Clan to 1) make up for the murders as much as they could and 2) increase the numbers that had decreased so much (and to avoid inbreeding).

Olivetree refused due to Myrtle and Alder having killed her brother, but then her Twolegs took away her kits. She decided to join the Clan when she had just one left so that she could raise them. That kit is Parsleykit.

Hollyclaw had a son in canon Jumpfoot, but by this point he's dead. While he was alive and an adult, she had more kits with a donor and her mate. Her kits are Fennelpaw and Riftkit.
