does anyone know why laptop screen ouchies but phone screen yippee?
#this makes no sense but im currently falling asleep#tldr if i use my laptop for over an hour or so it induces really bad headaches if not migraines#but i can be on my phone literally 24/7 with no issues#tv is kind of a Middle point it depends on if the living room light hurts or not#neither device has night mode or reading mode activated. both have the bare minimum brightness i need to see#because higher makes my head hurt#i have glasses. they have a blue light filter. it does nothing. sometimes it makes the headaches Worse#is it smth stupid like the GHz of the screens or something#do i have to go through the hassle of poking around screen settings on my laptop#i just want to draw digitally again but literally every time i did i got a headache because of my laptop......#and the drawing factor makes me reluctant to mess with screen settings#in fear it'll mess with colors and i wont be able to tell til checking on anlther device after posting#tortilla rambles

Reunited (with my beloved glasses) and it feels so goooood
#it's been 84 years.....#i joke but they told me 5-7 business days and it turned out to be uhhh 12. cuz i am so blind and they were a pain to cut lenses for lol#I've got blue light filters. I've got the special lens type cuz otherwise they're like half an inch thick. they're huge.#but they also replaced my nose pieces!!! took such good care of my bbys#anyway thriving. i almost waited until lunch and was like. nah I'm going now i want my blue light filters#my old glasses were so off my prescription and they're huge and plastic and orange inside#but these are brass and metal and elegant#best glasses. bbys.#i straight up am gonna wear these until they cannot be used anymore. gonna have to wear out the metal before i replace them.

local man buys tinted glasses because they're meant to help with migraines, only to find out he can see way more comfortably through them
#personal#thoughts#🍬 post#we already had some blue light filtering glasses but apparently rose tinted glasses are meant to help too#and Lucy mentioned trying a friend's glasses years ago and being like ''oh my god I can see comfortably even though I'm in a bright room''#so I figured we might as well get a pair of rose tinted ones as well and see how much they help#and wow okay yeah they only have a really light tint on them but I put them on being in a bright room suddenly hurts way less#it also feels like things are higher contrast somehow but idk. I can differentiate between certain colours a bit better? I think?

I'm having a repeat of the "wait tree leaves are supposed to be clearly visible?" experience from when I first got my glasses in the form of "wait text on screen and signs at night aren't supposed to have that weird distortion?" today

Both my job and a number of my hobbies involve Staring At Screens for extended amounts of time and I wonder why I always feel like I have eye strain
#id say i should get blue light filters on my lenses next time i get glasses but apparently its iffy on whether those actually help so dndDN#my desktop monitor is especially egregious and i havent found a way to reduce the brightness#fl.ux helps a LITTLE but just being more orange doesnt make it any less strenuous
