I can't stand blue Alastor. But I tend to make my own versions of things I don't like. So I made this lady, which is perfectly described by Halsey's song - Nightmare.

The problem with blue Alastor is that they make him TOO opposite to canon. Canon is super cool, so his opposite is the most uncool lol. That's not my way, my advice to you: if you want to reverse a character, change ONE important quality of his and think about what else needs to change for it to work. That's all.

So I changed the minimum: in this AU, Al began to hide her emotions and weaknesses behind an icy face, instead of a smile. She perceives a smile as pleasing others, which is not what she wants to do: Halsey's song is a perfect description of this. No one can figure out what she likes, and she always looks like she is unhappy with the situation, even when everything is going according to her plan, and this confuses everyone. For example, she pretends that she can’t bargain and makes a deal that’s not good for her, but then it turns out that’s exactly what she wanted. Pretending that she is exhausted during a fight is her favorite tactic. If she had kids or even just a partner they would be traumatized by the constant disapproval lmao. Perhaps this is how her quarrel with Vox happened.

Seeing "Blue Alastor" on my dash and Google feed, and even having entire cosplays based on him, makes me wonder...where did he even come from? Where did he go? Is he really Cotton-Eye Joe? (joking)
