I'm at episode 25 and wanted to gather together a few thoughts before the last third of Blossom airs. I've watched a range of good, bad, and mediocre TV this year, but only Blossom has short-circuited the killjoy critical (as opposed to the thoughtfully critical) part of my brain so effectively I'm able to access the delicious, immersive, electric pleasure of pure feeling.

Will Love in Spring got very close but I'm a costume drama girly at heart and dramatic hair, swishy cloaks, feudalism, and a fat degree of separation from everything that is relatable or relevant to my actual life gets me to that space most efficiently.

The direction and visual storytelling is assured and distinctive without drawing undue attention to itself (ahemTheDouble)- this darling director is supremely invested in the details that convey tension and passion. It's a big, unabashedly earnest, Romantic romance where the emotional trajectory of the relationship is communicated through the leads looking into each other's eyes with the intention of genuine discovery, paired with strong symbolic imagery (snow and ashes, stones thrown and ripples in the river, red and white ribbons on the magnolia tree, masks, blindfolds, cloaking as protection, the double swords, the spear, etc).

He draws out, dwells on, and offers up to us all the minute changes in the eyes of the leads, as these two characters transition slowly through the stages of their regard for each other, from suspicion to admiration to devotion. Think of for instance the scene (I think in 5? 7?) when Dou Zhao commands Song Mo to look into her eyes, hoping with everything for Wu Shan’s sake that he can read the truth there as he assesses her with cool calculation. Compare with the scene in 23 of their reunion, Song Mo’s eyes suddenly wet and gleaming, when he sees Dou Zhao in tears, the adrenaline faded, the belated fear, and relief at seeing him appear. In less capable hands it would be saccharine. But no- it’s expertly calibrated. I'm moved. I’m transported.

The director also knows exactly when to use a judicious bit of slow motion, just enough, not too much, to amp up the juiciness of action sequences and to underline a particularly swoony moment (that delightful bit when he lifts her over the brazier). And speaking of action sequences- I will always love my wuxia wirework but the action choreography here feels wonderfully grounded yet doesn’t skimp on heightened stylized beauty, making good use of Li Yunrui’s intensive combat movement and horsemanship training from the filming of Creation of the Gods.

And I thought I was tired of center-framed closeups of faces. But those two seconds in episode 23 focusing on Dou Zhao’s maid’s lip curl of disdain after slashing Duke Ying’s twitchy minion has changed my mind! “狗东西!”

And of course there's the lighting, the LIGHTING, THE LIGHTING. When the success of your romance hinges on people looking at each other, their eyes had better glow with meaning and intention and emotion. And HOW.

Hi ABL! After watching episode 1 of Between Us, I was impressed with the level of "thirst" between Boun and Prem's characters in the last couple of scenes. Are there shows or scenes of shows, regardless of actual heat level, that you think did "thirst" well, regardless of how that's resolved at the time? Defining THIRST

I make a distinction between thirst and other types of physical desire. This is just me and language.

Thirst usually leaps off the screen and has an edge of danger to it. Like they gonna get caught, or go out of control just from wanting to touch. They gonna die without physical contact. It's pure survival need. Japan kinda specializes in this.

There's no humor to thirst, but horny can get kinda cheeky. It's more fun and mutual (ee.g. KinnPorsche). More want than need. So it's more Thailand and Taiwan.

There's also yearning (e.g. The 8th Sense), which has a more emotional soul tether to it. Korea in particular, but also like GMMTV and lower heat prestige stuff, high school things for example (My School President).

And finally hunger, which I tend to think of as desire but with a nourishment component. It's I want what's MINE. Like Taejung in Cherry Blossoms After Winter.

Jikook Week 41 Complete (17/09 - 24/09/2024)

AYS finished on a high last Thursday and their 41st week in the military is now complete. It's time to celebrate with a look back at this week in 2022. It was the tail end of the Proof promotions (which culminated in the Busan Yet to Come concert).

On 17/09 the Proof Music Shows episode was released with behind the scenes at the KBS Music Bank, Inkigayo and MCountdown....

....and on 23/09 the Goal of the Century remix of Yet to Come was released with lyrics changed to fit the Qatar World Cup 2022.

Behind the scenes, Jimin was working hard on his own music. Gabriel Brandes, Alex Karlsson and ARCADES hinted at a new song with Jimin on social media.......

....and we only had to wait 1 year and 10 months to find out was Slow Dance feat. Sofia Carson. Things really do take time to blossom in Jimin's world.

Coincidentally (or not), Jimin came live on 18/09 (wearing his silver tag necklace which was a permanent fixture in his wardrobe all through 2022) and talked about the music he was making with internal and external producers in South Korea and the US.

This and that kind of song Jimin??????? Downplaying much?????

He really had no idea what he was going to achieve with his solo releases. The splash he would make and the insatiable appetite for more Jimin music that would be created in both old and new fans.

The other big revelation in this live was that not only did Jimin have the moon phases tattooed all up his spine but that the inspiration for that had come from Taehyung showing him this fan art.

Thanks to both the artist and Taehyung for this particular inspiration. As Jimin says in the live, there was a time and a place for the big reveal and about six months later that time arrived.

And since then, well, we've been spoiled rotten.

Okay, just watched ep. 23 of Jiu Chong Zi/Blossom, the episode where [spoiler] dies and I have some thoughts! Caveats: I have only seen up to episode 23, and I am not familiar with the original IP the show is based on, so I will be treating the show’s writers as creative decision-makers although I AM AWARE that this may be a simplistic or erroneous view.

Dou Ming’s death is a very obvious boundary marker within the show, launching us, I think I’d argue, into the show’s third act, after the second act moved lots of pieces around and swept a few off the board. I’m gonna use the death of Song Mo’s mother and the resultant fight between him and his dad as the turning point for Act 1, for reference.

First, there’s the karmic aspect of Dou Ming’s death, which I’d say is consistent with the show’s overall themes. I think there’s a very direct parallel to be made between Dou Ming’s death and Dou Zhao’s mother’s death. Both are sympathetic relatives of Dou Zhao who are killed due to the Dou family’s dysfunction. They both die because of Wang Yingxue’s actions. Within the larger narrative, their deaths are clearly meant to be lessons for their loved ones, punishments for those who most wronged them (although obviously neither character held that kind of malice). Dou Zhao’s mother’s death is a punishment for Dou Zhao’s dad, and Dou Ming’s death is a punishment for her mother (this is very obvious). Additionally, Dou Ming herself highlights the karmic nature of her death when she is dying, reminding Wei Tingyu of the oath he’d sworn to only paint her upon pain of sword to the heart, saying that her death is the answer and the resolution of that oath. He has been a terrible husband and the consequence is an unjust death for his wife that could have been prevented by him just not sucking so bad.

Dou Ming’s death also resolves the initial story conflict. In Dou Zhao’s first life, her enemies were her husband, her sister, and her stepmother. I could be wrong about what the story holds in the future, but I don’t expect to see much more out of either WTY or WYX, unless either one goes on a redemption arc (unlikely), or goes full supernova supervillain. This is still more unlikely for me. WTY and WYX are consistent parts of Dou Zhao’s rogue’s gallery, but they aren’t smart enough to really be threats, as Act Two has repeatedly proven. Dou Ming’s death is knelling out the end of their status as important antagonists, cutting them off at the knees in time to introduce the actual villains of the show.

In addition to moving minor villains out of the way so Dou Zhao &co can more directly fight the Evil Brigade, the bandit plot effectively introduces the Evil Brigade’s qualifications for being major antagonists. Dou Ming’s death is the final proof of this. Although the principal goals of the bandit plot (kill Dou Zhao, get Song Mo killed or in trouble) ultimately failed, Dou Ming died, which proves to a watching audience that a) these are the BAD bad guys, because anyone whose actions kill off one of the few likable characters not already in the Song Mo-Dou Zhao camp is clearly not great, and b) even if they were foiled this time, they might have better luck next time, and they’ve already killed off a major secondary character and nerfed two more through their actions. The stakes have been raised! Dou Ming’s death particularly highlights the villainy of Evil Uncle Dou (I cannot. For the life of me. Keeps his and the dad’s names straight. And for like the first half of the show they were both in the bad guys corner so it didn’t matter to me anyways). He’s been terrible the entire time, but Dou Ming has done nothing wrong to anyone ever in this life and he’s like 🤷‍♂️ about it. It is GALLING to see him react so calmly to his niece’s death, placing all the blame for everything squarely on his sister-in-law, when we the audience know that he orchestrated the bandits getting in, resulting in Dou Ming’s death!!! Well. He wanted his niece dead and he got a niece dead!!

And I want to elaborate a little further on the stakes-raising bit. Killing off a sympathetic character to raise the stakes prior to the third act is a classic writing choice. For instance, in Blood of Youth, Li Xinze’s character (he plays WTY in jcz) is killed off at the end of the second act which I fucking hated but like it was a thing that happened. But unfortunately no one would care if his character died atp in Blossom because WTY sucks! So it’s gotta be someone the audience cares about, a character set that’s fairly thin on the ground. Song Mo already lost Lu Zhen at the end of act 1/start of act 2, so you couuuuulllldddd theoretically kill off one of the advisor guys or one of the maids for like, symmetry, but this lacks any narrative thrust. Dou Ming’s death, on the other hand, is suitably tragic for an act turn, affects a maximum portion of the cast, and carries thematic weight, making her an ideal candidate from a story perspective.

Overall, rip Dou Ming. You wronged no one! Everyone in your life disappointed you! In a kinder story you’d have gotten a nice divorce and lived with your dad or your jiejie in peace 💜

Takara's Treasure Ep 1 & 2 Thoughts

 Okay so I just finished Cosmetic Playlover (here is the start of my liveblog if you want to read) and I’m still on the JBL train so it’s time for Takara’s Treasure. I know so little about this show it kind of feels like I’m going in blind but I do know some things. Kind of. Under the cut:

Oh he loves plants. I’m obsessed. Love him. 

So because of how I do these liveblogs, you guys do not know how long it takes me to watch each episode. Y’all can just read the next bullet right away but I need to mention how doing these has helped me notice a pattern for myself. It always takes me sooooo long to start getting into shows. I started this episode about an hour ago and I’m not done yet. The episode is 23 minutes long. It takes me so long because I either get distracted or interrupted, but the second I start feeling very attached to the characters, it’s game over and I start flying through the episodes. Especially on a binge. It’s just fascinating to me and I’m kind of glad you guys can’t tell because it is genuinely very frustrating sometimes to want to watch a show and have to fight my brain to keep going because it got distracted (or sometimes it’s because I’m having a flare up and I need to break from the show to deal with it). Anyway, with that said, time to get back on track. I can at least finish episode 1.

Aw the poor baby who lost his bird. I saw this coming but it hurts. I lost my pets a few years ago really tragically (do not ask me about this I will not answer any questions) and it hurts so bad still. I struggle with pets/animals in shows that pass away. It is one of the very, very few things that is actually likely to make me cry. So I get it. Sitting on the mountain and crying all day? Good. Let him process that grief. Let it out baby boy let it out.

What has this man been through? What traumas has he suffered? That is a look of a man who has dealt with some shit. Which means I am going to love him. I am going to absolutely adore him, aren’t I?

I think that’s why I have a problem with the faen fatale trope in a lot of BLs. Because the other person never seems to view our BL boy as an actual person with wants and desires. They project their wants and desires onto them and I don’t know…it’s just annoying to watch. I’m glad it’s not as prevalent as it once was.

I’ve seen Takara smile twice now and both times the smile has been soft and gentle and aimed at Taishin and I love them both so much.

so okay. demon-human relations and logistics.

demonic possession transforms the host physiologically: the body is supernaturally fortified beyond pain and damage limits that humans couldn't typically endure (see: meg was still alive when the demon left her body in 1.22), the blood becomes corrupted and demonic in nature for so long as the demon is inside of the host (see: the nurse demon that sam drained in 4.22 went dormant inside her host body, but the blood was still demonic and sam was able to use it to power up)

demonic blood can be introduced into a human body via consumption, which induces psychic powers. the nature of the psychic powers seems to stem from innate demonic abilities, implying that there are some demons who, while unrepresented in canon, can see the future or control minds (at least i can't think of any demons who can do this, and the fandom wiki doesn't list these powers). other powers exhibited by the special children are represented by various other demons to some extent. (it's unknown and unexplored what the relation between demon-induced psychics and naturally born psychics are, though this is really something i'd love to think about more deeply.)

consuming more demon blood causes these powers to, allegedly, become stronger, though "accepting" the powers alone allows them to blossom on their own (the powers exhibited by sam in seasons 4/5 are incongruent with his powers in 1/2, hence allegedly. it's possible that the discrepancy between the seasons 1/2 powers and the seasons 4/5 powers have to do with the quality of blood sam is drinking: azazel is a prince of hell and therefore has a wider range of abilities, and sam consuming just a few drops of his blood would generate large enough amounts of power to tide him over 23 years; meanwhile, lower ranking demons have limited abilities, and so sam would need to consume more of their blood to achieve only a fraction of the power he got from azazel. just one theory to perhaps bridge the dissonance).

anyway, consuming a massive amount of blood causes the body to become demonic in nature, evidenced by the black sclera over sam's eyes in 4.22 when he kills lilith. the more demon blood that enters the body, the more demonic a person becomes.

which would imply then that it's possible to turn a human into a demon through consumption of demonic blood alone rather than the traditional centuries-of-torture-in-hell thing. season 8 also introduces the possibility for this demonization to be reversed: human blood replaces demon blood and thus humanizes the demon, in a perversion of the original concept.

this works conceptually in the way that demons are originally conceived as just corrupted human souls. this is of course contradicted by later retcons of the lore (8.02 specifically, and perhaps other episodes but i can't think of them at the moment), but the original lore allows this ebb and flow to work rather seamlessly: a corrupted soul can become uncorrupted, and an uncorrupted soul can become corrupted, all via the consumption or injection of blood containing the target physiology.

all this to say, it's reasonable within the show's own worldbuilding that dean could have saved sam and cured his whole demon blood thing by feeding him his own human blood.

Do you have any shoujo manga recommendations? I recently read Sasaki and Miyato and realised that I have been severly missing out!

Sure!! Thanks for asking me!

First, in case you haven't read it yet, Sasaki and Miyano has a spinoff that starts six months before the plot of Sasaki and Miyano called Hirano and Kagiura also by Shou Harusono.

This one focuses on Sasaki's friend, Hirano and his new dormmate, Kagiura. I know Sasaki had extra stories with them but the spinoff gave them an actual story. It currently has about 23 chapters and a light novel with the light novel being the first thing that happens chronologically. No anime for it as far as I know. The back of the first volume has a timeline of where events fit (this came out when Sasaki was up to Volume 5)

Speaking of novels, Sasaki and Miyano has two novels, one focusing on the characters' first year and one on their second year. I haven't read them yet so I'm not sure what exactly happens in them but if you can, check them out!

OK, now for other recs!

Wotakoi: Love Is Hard For Otaku by Fujita

This one is really cute! An office worker and otaku named Narumi Momose got dumped by her boyfriend when she got outed as one. Feeling awkward about running into him at work after the bad breakup, she quit her job and got a new one at a different company. This time, she's determined to keep her secret under wraps as to avoid another incident. However, this may prove to be hard when she finds out her childhood friend and fellow otaku Hirotaka Nifuji works at the company and almost outs her on her first day. She meets up with him after work to catch up and when Narumi tells him about her recent breakup, he asks her why not date an otaku. Specifically him. She rejects it at first but when he says he can help her in life, video games and with her booth at Comiket, she agrees.

There are three couples this series focuses on. The second couple knew each other since high school and have been dating for about a decade and work at the company with Narumi and Hirotaka. The third couple is the younger brother of Hirotaka and a gamer who goes to his college. It's a lighthearted comedy about office worker otakus and navigating their relationships. A lot of references to anime, video games, BL, GL, you name it. Like Sasaki, this was a webcomic posted on pixiv so the pacing and layout feel similar, at least to me. There are 11 volumes (6 volumes if you go by the English translation bc they combined two volumes into one for 5 of them and then the last one is by itself). I mainly got into this one bc Hirotaka was aesthetically my type. I remember seeing the first volume cover at kinokuniya when only the Japanese version was out and being like "I need to find out what this series is bc I need to meet him"

Kimi Ni Todoke by Karuho Shiina

This was a series I read when I was in high school. High school freshman Sawako Kuronuma has been feared and misunderstood by her peers all her life due to her appearance. It was so bad that her classmates call her Sadako since she looks like the character from The Ring. She had resigned to her fate of never making a friend until popular boy Kazehaya starts talking to her. The more time he spends talking to her, the more her world opens up and she starts making friends and experience things she hadn't been able to before this point. As they spend more time together, love blossoms between the two characters.

There are 30 volumes and 38 episodes. I read up to volume 18 and then stopped because that was the most recent volume at the time and I kinda forgot about by the time more volumes came out. But that was my fault not the manga because this series is really really cute!! A term I've coined for myself when I read this was whenever Kazehaya and Sawako were being cute together, I'd exclaimed "THESE ADORABLE LITTLE FUCKS!!" because they are so adorable to each other. The friends Sawako makes are really cool and fun in their own right. If you want some really cute, tooth rotting sweetness, I recommend this series.

Princess Jellyfish by Akiko Higashimura

Tsukimi Kurashita is a jellyfish fanatic that lives in Amamizukan, a woman only apartment building that houses other woman with their own fixations. They are considered NEETS and have a strict rule of no men allowed in their living space. Tsukimi's love for jellyfish came from going to a jellyfish aquarium with her mom before she died of an illness when Tsukimi was a kid. She goes to a pet shop regularly to visit a spotted jellyfish she's taken a fancy to that she named Kurara. When she sees that the employees put a moon jellyfish in the same tank, she fears for its life as the moon jellyfish will kill Kurara if not taken care of. However, her fear of talking to normal people lead to a misunderstanding with the employee until a stylish person comes to her rescue and they take Kurara back to Amamizukan. The next morning, Tsukimi finds out the stylish person she brought back to her home is an illegitimate son of a politician and cross-dresser named Kuranosuke Koibuchi.

There are 84 chapters and 11 episodes of this series. I read up to about chapter 74 before stopping for the same reason I did for Kimi Ni Todoke. It's a really fun time. The characters are funny and sweet, the situations are entertaining, it's just a fun o' time. And the art is really pretty!!

Skip and Loafer by Misaki Takamatsu

Mitsumi Iwakura moved from her small town on the outskirt of Ishikawa Prefecture to Tokyo to start high school. However, she gets lost going to school on the first day due to the culture shock and seems at a loss at what to do. That's when she meets Sosuke Shima who was late to school himself and travels with her to school. The series follows Mitsumi as she experiences school life in the city and meets lots of new people and makes friends with Sosuke along for the ride.

There's currently about 59 chapters and 12 episodes of this series. I started reading it when the anime was announced and I had a fun time reading it. I really enjoyed Mitsumi and seeing her learn and broaden her horizons as she goes to school and hang out with Sosuke and everyone else. It's a nice story!

High school student Uenoyama Ritsuka is a guitarist in a instrumental only band with college students Akihiko Kaji and Haruki Nakayama. When going to his usual hiding spot for lunch, he finds Mafuyu Sato sleeping with a guitar with broken strings in his arms. Uenoyama offers to fix it and when he does and plays a note, Sato begs him to teach him how to play. Uenoyama is reluctant but gives in when Sato persists. After spending some time together, Uenoyama finds out that Sato has a beautiful singing voice and invites him to join his band.

There are 9 volumes, 11 episodes and a movie, with another movie on the way. The series focuses on three relationships. The first is the relationship between Uenoyama and Sato, the second between Akihiko and Haruki and the third between Sato's childhood friends Hiiragi and Shizusumi. The art is really pretty and the characters are so good!! I really enjoyed the story a lot! My favorite character is Hiiragi and I can't wait for the next movie to come out because they're gonna cover his story then and I wanna hear him sing!! (Also his seiyuu is Fumiya Imai AKA seiyuu for Akito Shinonome so double reason why I wanna hear it) Also, Imma use this as an excuse to post a page I really wanna see animated bc I can hear it so clearly in my head.

Bloom Into You by Nakatani Nio

Yuu Koito, lover of shoujo manga, always dreamed of being confessed to and experience that heart pounding feeling she sees happen in her books. However, when she's confessed to by a guy in middle school, she feels nothing and rejects him. Now starting high school, she's left confused on what her lack of feeling means. When she sees the student council president Touko Nanami turn down a boy, she asks her for help with her situation. But when Nanami confesses her love to Koito, will she feel that spark she's being hoping for? There's 8 volumes, 13 episodes and 3 light novels starring a side character. I'm up to volume 6 of this one and I'm really enjoying it!! The story is engaging, the charatcers are interesting. I like that Yuu isn't a pushover, she's a bit snarky and doesn't let Touko push her around. And I like how Touko comes off as a competent student council president but she has a more vulnerable side that she only shows Yuu. They pair nicely with each other.

Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun by Izumi Tsubaki

OK I know you know this one already but this wouldn't be a rec list made by me if I didn't include it. This is my favorite series ever. It's mecore. Me-coded. Me. Second year high schooler Chiyo Sakura finally gets the courage to confess her love to Umetarou Nozaki, a guy in her grade. However, she messes up the confession and says she's his biggest fan instead of "I like you". Nozaki, in response, gives her his autograph and then invites her to his house. She accepts but once they get there, he has her do inking on a manga he makes. Turns out, Nozaki is a manga artist under the pen name Sakiko Yumeno and he's had his eye on Sakura for a while because he wanted to bring her onto his team as an inker. She agrees to join so she can get closer to him.

There's currently 14 volumes, 12 episodes and an OVA split into six 5-mintue parts. This series has me dying of laughter with every chapter. The characters are fun, the story is fun, it's just a fun time! There are three main couples with some side couples and duos that get their own time in the spotlight as well. The main ones are Sakura and Nozaki, Sakura's friend Yuzuki Seo and Nozaki's screentone assistant and first year Hirotaka Wakamatsu, and Nozaki's background artist and third year theater club president Masayuki Hori and "Prince of the Drama Club" Yuu Kashima. Other characters like Mikoto "Mikorin" Mikoshiba, Mayu Nozaki, Yukari Miyako, Ken Miyamae, and Mitsuya Maeno all bring their own brand of fun to the table. This series made me laugh so much I couldn't read it in class to slack off because I'd laugh out loud and disrupt class. I've yet to read another series that made me do that. I cannot recommend this series enough. Please read AND watch it if you have not already. Nozaki is starting to gain awarness. I lose my mind whenever I see it happen. I wanna see it happen. It's been 13 years!

Imma put an honorable mention here because I haven't read or watch it yet but I've heard Horimiya written by HERO and illustrated by Daisuke Hagiwara is really good. I wanted to but just haven't gotten around to it yet.

Okayokay. So it’s a cover of an unreleased song that someone made on garageband. Okay. Wasted Summer by MaybeEh (lyrics are incorrect, just ignore those guys)

I don’t know what it is about this song!! it just!! scratches an itch in my brain that other songs just Can’t reach. And I don’t get it!

Several weeks ago I was having a mental Time; my brain’s loudness level was at record-breaking levels (not even in an overtly unpleasant way, but my gosh it was Loud) and the only way I could think of to deal with that/cope was pace around my room Aggressively wave my hands and hum tunelessly. for like. minutes.

But then !! I remembered this song!! And I laid myself down on the floor of my bedroom, stuck in my earbuds, turned the volume up Real loud, and let the song play. AND IT HELPED SO MUCH IT WAS CRAZY!!! The loudness of the song overtook the loudness of my brain!! And by the end of the song I had successfully calmed down :)

It was a very neat experience and I find it quite amusing that the only thing that truly calmed me in that situation was listening to garageband song covers at loud volumes lol

I do Not care to be perfectly honest. I’m not much of a flower person, never have been, though I do find them pretty and I think I would Melt if I was ever given any. Someone could pick me a single dandelion and if it was given to me out of love I would treasure that weed until it wilted apart.

THAT BEING SAID! I adore cherry blossoms and would get very excited over them :]

what’s something you’re excited for?

Sleeping in a real bed 😭 I miss my bed… I haven’t been able to sleep on it in so many days. I miss my bed, Bia. I miss my bed. Bed.

what’s your comfort food?

I’m not too sure if I have a comfort food? I have foods that I really really like & enjoy but calling them comforting feels a bit of a stretch. I will gladly eat an entire bag of peanut butter chocolate chips so perhaps that <3 Or a starbucks frappuccino maybe…

favorite feel-good show?

Bluey :’) That show has made me Almost Cry and that is incredibly un-easy to do. Definitely my comfort show. The Sign hits way too close to my chest and Mackenzie is so cute and it’s such a genuine & good show. It makes me smile a lot :)

OH OH OH and also this episode/stream of Dream SMP that is about Tommy & Ghostbur spending time at Technoblade’s house <3 It’s so soft and fluffy and is filled to the Brim with wonderful Ghostbur moments. I have watched it so many times. I love him so much.

favorite piece of clothing?

MY GHOSTBUR SWEATER!!! orrrrr my green bucket hat!! My Ghostbur sweater fills me with lots & lots of happiness and it’s Definitely my most comforting piece of clothing; I often put it on whenever I’m feeling a bit sad or in need of comfort, and it really does help me feel better! The pure excitement I felt when I came across it in a thrift store Oh my goodness.

And my bucket hat is just part of my character design at this point. My friends recognize me by it, it is so silly & whimsical, it pairs nicely with most of my outfits :)

what’s the best personal gift someone could give you (playlist, homemade card, etc.)

Literally Anything would make me get emotional & would overflow my heart with love okay I am Not a picky girl when it comes to gifts. That being said my heart overflows in a Certain way whenever I am gifted art!!

morning, afternoon or night?

Morning, mayhaps? It’s a very pleasant time of day for me. I really love it whenever I wake up (accidentally) at like 6am and the world is still dark and no one else is awake yet so I have the house to myself and I can make myself food and wander around and pretend that I am alone and !!! I wrote an essay about this actually.
