Okay, I really need people to be more careful these days in accusing an artist of using AI when a ton of artists' styles are the ones being fed without permission into those very AI systems you're trying to fight against. At the very least, delve into their image posting history for even a minute or two to make sure. Throwing out an accusation like that can be extremely damaging to someone who did nothing more then post their art publicly. Don't hurt the same artists you're trying to look out for.

Do you do drawings of people?

Yes! I mostly draw people for client work, but I do enjoy drawing portraits in my personal time.

I never post the people art because my audience (across all platforms) tends to not like the drawings of people, interestingly enough!

honestly kinda sad about the whole tumblr communities thing

like it's cool it's fun but imo it just unnecessarily divides content by having it be One Or The Other. now if you want to look at all the art a person's posted on tumblr, including doodles, you just don't have one place to do that. quick offhand thoughts are no longer available on a person's main blog with the rest of their earlier posts, they're arbitrarily hidden off to the side.

and even worse than being split off, communities are (as of yet) not searchable at all, so anything other than recent posts just gets... lost

you can reblog regular posts to communities but then, yet again, discussion on the post is cut up into two places. you can't see any of the community's comments if you're on the main post, not even as the post creator and not even if you're in that community. idk i really prefer the regular tag browsing system

huge props to the people moderating these things, yall are really awesome, it's just qualms i have with the feature in general

Desert Duo sketch from December '23 when I was catching up on Secret Life!

I fell hard for the life series/hermitcraft fandom after discovering Sparkbird's music on instagram. They released some reels promoting their most recent song and asking their audience what fandom they'd associate it with, and the audience ate that up, recommending them fandoms like TMA, Good Omens, and Life Series, all of which Stephan Sparkbird has gotten into themself in the months since! I decided to give Life Series a watch around the same time they did, and we've both been having a parallel blast.

I highly recommend Sparkbird if you haven't heard their music already, they're fantastic. Their most popular song is November, which is, I think, the one most tied to desert duo and life series in general! But all their stuff is great.

Please do not feel like you need to apologize for reaching out or asking a potentially repetitive question, it’s just great to me that you care. I can’t guarantee I’ll get to all of them, especially if they’re require research, but I love to hear your thoughts and questions and keep them in mind as I decide what to right about.
