i know this blog is probably run as a joke but as someone who's cognitively disabled & genuinely struggles with reading comprehension sometimes, your blog is like a fun & silly way to actually try and practice and get better at it without the anxiety of school or grades :3

way too often i see a post on here that looks genuinely important but the words just dont make any sense to me and i cant make out what it means & sometimes those reading comprehension questions actually help me work out what point OP is trying to make cus i usually dont know what questions to even ask when im confused or where to start so i just wanna say thanks for running this blog! it may be a joke or have started that way but this blog is like actually pretty helpful in improving my reading comprehension!!

I don't often respond to asks (which does make me feel bad, especially when so many of them are so kind) because otherwise this blog would be @ask-answering-posting, but I'm feeling sentimental (and sick AGAIN) so here we are

It's always very touching when someone sends me kind words, but it's especially touching when said kind words are about some actual, tangible benefit that my silly reading comprehension questions blog is having on people who follow it/see it frequently. I think you touched on this, but when they get together and yk, have to keep it on the low for a multitude of reasons.

One one hand it sucks cuz yk, Paige can’t brag like she wants to yet. But on the other hand Paige is a cocky little shit and will take the opportunity to be handsy and flirty (to a certain degree) knowing that the girls aren’t gonna think too much of it cuz paige has always been like that, But Paige and the manager both know there’s more reason to it now.

BUT NEVER FRETE our manager can play the same game Paige, don’t start stuff you can’t finish. Then it lowkey become just a personal game for them of who could fluster the other more without the team getting suspicious.

Contrary to popular belief I think the Manager and Paige made a bet on how long with would take the team to figure out they were together. So they didn’t tell them outright, but just went along letting them figure it out themselves.

I also feel like people started noticing the dynamic change. Like don’t get me wrong the managers job comes first so Paige isn’t getting any extreme special treatment, but the girls and fans start noticing the managers tone switch when she’s talking to Paige.

Her tone just gets a bit softer and more gentle.

Like there’s this clip of manager talking to Caroline normally, then Paige calls her and manager turns and goes “yes baby?” so softly AND LIKE the “baby” isn’t what gets people cuz again, manager calls everyone by pet names. It’s HOW quickly her tone changes as soon as she started talking to Paige.

And we already know Paige’s eye contact game goes crazy and she has a STARRING PROBLEM, if I had a nickel for how many times Paige was caught staring at the manager I would be buying everyone on this blog canes oml.

Manager doesn’t really strike me as a person who shies away from eye contact most of the time, which is evident cuz there’s clips of them just starting at each other and you can FEEL THE TENSION.

But when manager does shy away from it, Paige either grabs her chin and turns her face back to her, or if she can’t Paige moves her head to try and stay in the managers eye sight.

Or let’s say Paige is talking and manager gets distracted by something. Paige is grabbing her cheeks gently with both hands, saying “Hey, I’m right here pretty girl.” while gently rubbing her cheeks with her thumbs, then drops her hands from her face and just goes back to talking.

OC ONE- SEIHAI KUN (AKA False Grail No.759)

Seihai-kun is based off a few self insert fanfictions I wrote back in the day on my side blog. This character had an extremely low self esteem, was terrified of everything, swore like a sailor... and had a huge ass crush on Lancer Cu XD Luckily though, with all their romantic poems about the abyss; they keep themselves busy enough to not slip up constantly around him.

She's not very popular in Chaldea, as she struggles to communicate with servants, and often has no fucking clue what the hell she's doing in Chaldea. As she often works on Ritsuka's behalf whenever Ritsuka is busy, her role is also very small. She loves shiny things, and may occasionally grant a wish or two...?! You will catch her reading books, manga and playing video games etc (otaku).

OC TWO- Kirin Kerry (AKA ??? of Sentimental Despair)

Goes by both they/them and he/him. Kirin is a ball of unknowns and endless potential. He likes hot pink and bright reds, and enjoys a good night out with friends. They enjoy flashy clothing; and LOVE meeting new servants and staff- now if only others could actually understand the chaos that is Kirin's brain... To themselves, they sound pretty philosophical and smart- but to an outsider, Kirin sounds absolutely unhinged.

Writes a lot of books and trains excessively in their spare time. Makes most of their own clothing, too.

Assisting both Ritsuka AND Seihai in battle, Kirin is an acting master only in the sense of being an additional source of extreme mana and firepower against the flames of war. He can recall many a battlefield, and yet... has no idea of their origins nor who he originally was. Lacking cognition of who they are, Kiri is full of huge mysteries and secrets; often preferring to avoid intimate relationships with others.

so abt the bert and quinn situation, i’m really confused cus like quinn made that post and it seemed like a big deal and it’s been like a day and now he’s good? you seem to be more caught up on the situation then me so can you help me out cus i feel like i’m missing smth cus i’ve seen some ppl that are super pissed still and other ones that are over it.

i am also unclear about whether or not quinn intends to ever speak about it again. when he said in his original post “the truth is coming out. all of it”, to me, that seemed to be insinuating that he had more to say on the matter whether in his ‘book’ or some other medium.

in my opinion, i think it’s clear from his second post that simply being heard and believed by the fans made him feel better - a lot of people were sending him supportive dm’s and it seems like that quelled his anxiety regarding the fact that people might hate him for speaking negatively about bert or whatever.

also, just my opinion, i highly doubt a book of that nature would ever get released, one where he goes into all of the details of the interpersonal problems that existed within the band and his personal traumas, etc. i just don’t think it’s something he’d go through with. maybe i’m wrong but only time will tell. if the book does exist i doubt it would get released anytime soon

and yeah of course people are divided on the matter. personally, i will always love the used, they will always be my favourite band - i of course believe quinn (and all that that entails, the fact that his relationship with bert turned very dark and that he was deeply hurt by all of this). but those two sentiments - me believing quinn and also still liking the used can absolutely coexist.

you’re entitled to feel however you want on the matter, but i agree with that anon the other day that explicated why a full ‘denouncement/cancellation’ of the used is unnecessary - especially when you take into consideration the fact that, since the very early days of the band, bert and quinn described their friendship as complicated and difficult at times and intense (very last paragraph), and that they ‘got into fist fights’ and then made up afterwards (3:32 in video), which in my opinion was likely worsened by bert’s alcoholism over the years

edit: i also just want to say that on the day that quinn’s original post dropped (friday the 14th) i made a very dramatic post on this blog about it which i have since deleted because 1. i feel differently about the matter now, and 2. i wrote it out of a place of emotion and shock and i should have waited to actually gather my thoughts properly

I've only seen Scar's episode so far, but I dont think i liked this one. Like the food wild card was beatable, but the snails just feel anti-gameplay. And the deaths didn't feel impactful because there were so many and they weren't because of the other players. It feels like the worst aspects of limited life and secret life again. Maybe im too critical but im just kinda disappointed

i think "intrusive" is a good word to use.

In all fairness I do think the unbalanced-ness of it and it demolishing player agency the way it did weren't exactly purposeful. I hate making statements like I can read CC's minds but I do think it is saying something that the session ended as quickly as it did and in nearly all of the POVs I watched there was at least one person half-joking about ending the session early (or just straight up logging out) before it actually happened. Like I don't want to say the CCs were actively aware the mechanic had gone wrong but I do think it's saying something that Bdubs ended his episode chanting for the session to end lol.

In that sense I really think any criticism I or anyone else could have for the gameplay side of the mechanic is relatively useless. I think the CCs are fairly aware this one didn't exactly go as planned. Doesn't stop me from bitching about it on my blog tho.

As for the game-show-ification of the life series (which you didn't mention directly anon but I've seen this sentiment attached to posts about the mechanic a lot and "worst aspects of limited life and secret life" echoes it enough) I do agree However like I mentioned before I think we do have to keep in mind that Grian is making a youtube series first things first. And while I and alot of people are not the biggest fans of the BIGGER ! FLASHIER ! MINI-GAME-ER ! direction the series has taken that's more or less the logical way to go when it comes to youtube.

I love last life. I would love to see a last life 2. but I don't know if the 13 year olds this series is geared towards are looking forward to last life 2. (<-- plus I do think people overestimate a little bit just how entertaining watching the CCs play with the same mechanics again would be now that they have established dynamics and knowledge of how the mechanic works. If they just did the same ruleset over and over I guarantee you it would've gone in the more sweaty, powergamer-y direction than the silly haha funny snails direction which would've also felt alienating)

For what it is I'm still enjoying the series, so clearly they're doing something right. And I don't feel like I'm in a position where I can tell them to do their jobs. It's just that. sighs. I wish Gem was introduced in LL man I really wish she was.

It's a story set inside a videogame called Exclamania, where most NPC and even game functions have gained or are gaining sentience. Lots of them are sentient because the devs of Exclamania (from Elysium Development I think it's called), for whatever reason, kill people and put their souls inside the game. For this reason, it's an almost universal sentiment among Exclamania residents that devs are horrible people.

I'm picky about what I reblog, cus sometimes I agree with a sentiment, but don't know enough about a subject to feel comfortable reblogging it.

An Introduction!

Sheesh, who isn't bad at these? Hello there! I'm Shy, but don't be fooled by the name, cus I can be quite forward at times!

I'm an artist working out of my home to create (mostly) perler bead art, and have finally decided that I should at least try this selling thing for once. I'm here to try and offer cute little accents to your life and home at a reasonable price.

I'm also here to chat and share with other artists and hopefully make connections within the community. :)

I'm still working on building my blog, as well as my shop. I have not had access to a half decent computer for a long time, so please be patient with me as I re-learn.

I typically default to perler beads as a way to calm my brain a bit during my free time. I think a lot of us at some point or another threw some beads on a peg board and were excited to see all those little bits blend together to create something cool and new. Yes, I'm a bit sentimental about plastic beads lol

Occasionally I play around with paint and jewelry making. Nothing all too exciting as far as final products go, but maybe in time. Pony bead bracelets are fun, too. I usually make a batch of 50-100 when Bonnaroo comes around so I have gifts to share around the farm!

Anyways, I am not going to make you read a novel about myself. Hoping this is a nice quick intro as I start rolling out posts and blogging again.
