I hate when a fanfic is x blk reader and the author makes them really 'ghetto'. The Blk Medusa No.1 depicts the African Serpent Goddess, popularized in Greek Mythology. The real-life Medusa is said to represent a beautiful black woman with locks. To the outsider, her hair resembled snakes. Her beauty intimidated many, which created her power to turn men into stone. The black Medusa represents truth and female wisdom. Snakes are a symbol of divination and divinity in many African cultures. The nude upper body depicts femininity, motherhood, and fertility. Today’s society has removed the symbols from their original context. The Blk Medusa No.1 is the first of a series that will reiterate the origin story told by the African diaspora.
