Owls Head Light, Owls Head, Maine. Perhaps the most famous resident of Owls Head Light, was a springer spaniel named Spot. Dog of keeper Augustus B. Hamor (keeper from 1930-1945). Gus's daughters, Pauline and Millie, trained Spot to ring the fog bell as vessels sailed by. Spot's favorite visitor was the mail boat, as the captain always brought him a treat. During one bad blizzard, Spot adamantly asked to be let out. He ran to the waters edge and barked until the mail boat captain, unable to see in the storm, heard the barks, recognized where he was, and avoided a collision with the rocks. With a quiet chuckle of disbelief, Luna sincerely told Frost that she would never have expected her to try sending a letter like this, and she was incredibly impressed by her initiative, but also her ability to send it with very little practice or experience; and as a bright blush grew upon Frost's face as she shyly tried to hide, Luna said she did an amazing job, but she would take it from here.

Before she gave her the letter she wrote, however, Frost kindly asked Luna whether the paper scraps she had used could still be of use to anybody, to which she just briefly shook her head, before she stopped herself, and nodded, instead; for while nobody in the Empire could use this torn parchment, she hoped Shining Armour would understand the idea she had in mind with the frozen scraps of paper.

It took some time for Frost to piece together the idea Luna had in mind, but before she was able to confirm her thoughts, Luna had already sent away both the scroll she wrote, as well as the shredded parchment, before she politely suggested to head downstairs again; and Frost nodded in silence, but as they flew back to the Great Hall, Frost was still thinking about Luna's idea for the torn paper.

To her mild annoyance, Luna merely said that she figured she would see soon enough, but for now, it was wise that she did not tell her anything, lest Cadance realise she was trying to hide something; and she softly added that since it was her idea to send the frozen scroll to Shining, she would not dare put Frost in harm's way, and if anything somehow managed to get out, she could take the blame.

Now that she was greatly reassured, Frost smiled warmly again, and just as they stepped through the doors to the Great Hall, she quietly thanked Luna for her kindness, when Cadance politely asked the two if they were all right, as they were gone for a while; but although Frost was caught off-guard, and nervously started stuttering, Luna gently placed her wing in front of her, and solemnly nodded.

Per Frost's request, she continued, she would not utter a word about what they had discussed, as it was rather sensitive material, and it would not only break a promise she had made, it would also be terribly impolite; and to Frost's astonishment, which she narrowly managed to hide with a slow nod, Cadance just smiled, and wished Frost the best, before she offered her to take a seat for some tea.

In response, Frost rubbed the back of her head as she slowly backed away from the Royals, until she felt Luna gently grab her claw, wearing a sweet smile on her face, which calmed her heart and mind, and allowed her to join her beloved to meet the Royals and their friends; and when Luna was finally in Frost's embrace again, she felt her heart grow warmer, when she realised the warmth was twofold.

The smile on Luna's face swiftly brightened in response to the calmth that she felt flowing through her Daughter, even over such a great distance, which she figured was due to the comforting presence of her friend yet again; and now that knew that Nox was in safe hooves, and that she felt this warm and safe, so much so that she felt what she felt from so many leagues away, Luna was able to relax.

Back in the Dragon Lands, meanwhile, Light and Nox had been marvelling at the clear skies overhead, as well as the countless stars they were now both able to see, until they heard the sound of hooves galloping towards them; and when they were snapped out of their focus, and looked whither the sound came from, they saw Shining running towards them, with a pair of scrolls hovering close behind him.

The only relief they felt was the reasonably calm expression on his face as he slowed down, when he stopped right in front of them, and said that he had received a message from Frost and Luna, adding that he had forgotten to let Cadance know he had arrived; and he asked them if they had a quill and ink, as he had a feeling she wanted him to use the frozen paper she had sent along with the letter.

In turn, Light pointed to a pouch on the side of their satchel, before Shining fled, and shouted:

"No time, in the Mountains, letter, cold, thank you!"
