Rewatching Kekkai Sensen and seeing Klaus fucking throw a giant steel support beam with one hand makes me want to know how strong he really is like he did that while carrying Leo

But deadass, since they’re with Lucky their chance of surviving is fucking abysmal, if I was Zapp, I’d fucking cling onto Klaus and have him carry me too

Also look how fucking fast Klaus ran to Leo when Leo’s eyes started bleeding

Also I love that Gilbert calls Klaus “Young Sir” it’s so cute

Sonic Speed Monkey AU

Based on these sketches

Klaus

The second largest (just behind Dog) and the one with the least amount of flight response. His knuckleduster is just a discarded cross necklace that he found. Very protective of the other Speed Monkeys and won't hesitate to rally the rest of Libra to help with things.

Steven

He has to constantly find something to activate Esmerelda Blood Freeze, though it has such a limited range that he's more effective just kicking his opponents... No one knows that the excess shadows tailing him are actually his goon squad. Only really loyal to and protective over Klaus.

Leo

The smallest little monkey and the one who is constantly and consistently in trouble the most. Squints mostly because of all the sand that gets in his eyes until he found a pair of toy goggles to wear.

Zapp

Lil terrorist. Sets fire to a lot of things without activating his blood technique. Usually causing trouble for everyone (especially Klaus and Leo) and gets pissed when little kids call him a "Shiny". But will do whatever you want for enough bananas.

Zed

The calmest of them all, but that's because he's a hybrid of Speed Monkey and Sea Monkey. Can breathe both air and water without equipment and has little issue swimming versus jumping (though he hates running with wet fur). He will not hesitate to use his blood trident (especially to snag food from far off).

Chain

The most silent of them all, always sneaking around and getting things she wants. Has a massive stash of broken, shiny junk hidden in a little alcove very well hidden from prying eyes.

Dog

The largest and sweetest little monkey, except for Deldro being his blood. Usually very popular with small children because of his tame demeanor as he is always getting petted and given treats. Up until Deldro pops out... with his background being very similar with Aligula meshing the two together through (whatever method she was able to do)

Gilbert

A very skinny monkey, also a hybrid with natural regenerative abilities. Has looked after Klaus since he was young and keeps up with a small, abandoned playhouse for the Libra Monkeys to gather at. He manages to find all the best food (but almost forces everyone to share if it weren't for Klaus being just as stubborn about that).

K.K.

Constantly throwing things that look like guns at people to protect other Monkeys. Keeps up with a large brood of Monkeys as her family, and Libra as a secondary family. As soon as she finds/ makes 'working' guns, she just keeps up with a ton of rocks to fire.

Lucky

One of the most serious Monkeys, always carrying a toy suitcase full of scraps of paper from different restaurants so he remembers where the best dumpsters are. Goes all over the city and only occasionally runs with the rest of Libra.

Daniel

Annoyed by all the other Monkeys and tries to avoid them... doesn't work at all since he gets into a lot of trouble. Just grumpy all the time and grumbling whenever he has to play nice with Libra.

Raju

Vicious Monkey, will not play nice... unless you have food. He fights all the time and has lost feet from having to escape traps. But he still has blood abilities to keep moving and stealing food. Doesn't associate with Libra much... but has been around Zapp and Zed enough to teach them how to survive.

Femt

An actual little terrorist trying to cause as much chaos as his little paws can. Can and will bite people, even if given food. Has no problem with releasing all the animals in shelters and pet shops.

Aligula

Constantly stalking Dog and being a little terrorist about it. High-speed races through the city trying to get him. She knows how to rig machinery and work vehicles.

More Kekkai Sensen headcanons.

I’m not sure how one would go about reversing a blood breed infection, but I can’t imagine that it’s pleasant. Considering that Klaus was a level 12, it would be intense and Abrams would be the best man for the job.

Second part of the headcanon is that Klaus has a brand over the XII mark to prevent it from spreading further in the event that he’s bitten again. It’s not an easy thing to do to his student, but Abrams won’t trust anyone else to do it.

Kekkai Sensen at A Party

Leo: Shows up early to help set up. Probably booked the venue. Is allowed exactly 1 drink. Just sits back with Klaus, Black, and White and watches everything go down. Probably gets mugged in the bathroom. Leaves with White and Black because Black is startled after Zapp takes his pants off and KK threw up on him.

Klaus: Probably threw the party. Everything is getting out of hand. Kinda scared but is just glad his friends are enjoying themselves. Drives KK and Luciana home.

Steven: Helps Klaus plan the party. “I knew this was a bad idea.” Drinks wine to be classy. Socializes with Klaus and Leo for a while. Basically becomes a TS and keeps everyone from dying. Gets hit on by almost all the girls there including Chain. Gets at least 6 girl’s phone numbers. Realizes he’s gotten a little too tipsy and decided to call a cab before he becomes too wasted.

Zapp: Only came for the booze. Brings 2 dates to the party who fight each other there. Ends up hooking up with a girl in the bathroom. Probably one of the most wasted there. Wakes up on the rooftop, ass naked, with his wallet missing and $40,000 in debut.

Zed: Is embarrassed by Zapp. “What would Master say if he saw you right now?” Probably gets hit on but is completely oblivious to it. Hangs out with Chain until she gets wasted. Leaves because he fears for his safety.

Chain: Only came because she had nothing better to do. Probably gets hit on by a lot of guys. Leo and Klaus have to step in after 1 guy gets a little handsy. Decides to hang out with Zed and gossip in the corner. Gets wasted and hits on Steven. Too tired to go home so she just sleeps on one of the couches at the office.

KK: Says she’s only gonna have 1 drink so she can go home early. She has 12 drinks. Drunk cries on Klaus’s shoulder as she tells him repeatedly that “He’s a beautiful man”. Gets driven home by Klaus afterwards.

Gilbert: Doesn’t drink, like at all. Klaus gave him the night off but he insisted on attending the party as a staff member and not as a guest. Just really stands back and watches it all go down. Probably ends up reading a book. Also ends up chilling with Sonic for a while. Makes sure all the guests get home safely and calls everyone a cab. Helps Klaus clean up in the morning.

Lucky: Shows up to socialize with the ladies. All the ladies think he’s a total creep. Gets wasted to cope. Drunkenly tells Klaus he’d make the perfect ladies man and tired to give him some tips (which aren’t tips and are just him making gurgling noises). Tells Zed he’s very pretty. Finds some old newspapers and makes a hat out of them. Was probably the one to put Zapp on the roof. Passes out in the floor, hugging a potted plant.

Patrick: Is pumped up to go. First to get wasted. Plays strip poker with Luciana and loses miserably. Throws up in a fish tank. Decides to become a stripper and Neyka has to stop him from trying to take his clothes off every 5 seconds. Last to leave. Fights Neyka after she says he can’t sleep on the curb.

Neyka: Goes knowing she’ll have to drive Patrick home. Just lets him do his thing as she goes to the bar to get snacks. Probably has to throw hands with some bitch who thinks she’s a loli. Just sits with Sonic in her lap for a while, just patting his head. Basically has to drag Patrick out kicking a screaming. Is very tempted to just put him in an alleyway and leave him there. Is very done with Patrick’s shit.

Luciana: Already has an IV bag ready at home. She apologizes to Klaus in advance. Starts a drunken argument with Zapp over the color green. Wins $50 from playing Patrick at strip poker. Probably puts Steven in a head lock (like in the manga). Breaks her glasses. Passes out on Klaus after telling him she was really craving waffles. Is driven home by Klaus. Wakes up to a note from Klaus along with a box of Eggo.

Michella: Is not allowed to go to the party and doesn’t really care to. Probably FaceTimes Leo while he’s there. Spends a nice evening at home and then has a pleasant phone conversation with Leo when he returns home. Secretly promises herself to never go to a party again after hearing her brother’s stories.

Sonic: Only went to find Leo and got lost. He’s a little scared. He just kinda accepts it and chills for a while. Neyka is super polite to him and shares a bowl of peanuts with him. Sonic also chills with Gilbert for a while. He eventually finds Leo and heads home. Is asleep by time Leo gets home.

White: Gets invited by Leo. Invites her brother because she thinks it will be good for him. Is allowed exactly 2 drinks. Probably punches Zapp in the face for hitting on her and insulting Black. Looks at the fish tank until Patrick threw up in it. Mainly just sat with Klaus, Leo, and Black. Got a little annoyed by Black constantly clinging to her and begging her to go home. Decides it’s time to go after Zapp takes his pants off. Upon returning home she helps get the vomit out of Black’s hair.

Black: Only goes because White and Leo are going. Really shy and scared by every little noise. Is given a beer which he just ends up giving to his sister to drink because he’s too scared. Begs White to leave 15 minutes after arriving. Eventually convinces White and Leo to leave. Goes home covered in vomit, glitter and stale beer. Is never going to a party again.

Despair: Only shows up to spite all the members of Libra. Is really boardddd. Thinks this party is nothing compared to the parties he’s used to. Goes home first. Complains to Femt and Aligura about the party. Secretly wishes he stayed.

Libra family dynamic in my opinion

Gilbert- Grandpa, pretty self explanatory

Klaus - Mom. Klaus actually acts pretty maternal, every time I rewatch the anime, I just get mom vibes. Most say he's the dad or older brother figure but the way he acts, he's definitely a mama bear

Steven- Dad. I used to think that he was the mom, but no, he's definitely the dad, especially when he's sleep deprived from work and someone annoys him.

Chain- Eldest child. She just gives me big sister vibes from the way she watches over Leo and teases Zapp.

Zapp- Second eldest. He was the kid that didn't have as much rules enforced on him so he got away with a lot. He still gets away with a lot when it comes to Klaus, who doesn't know how bad his behavior truly is, until he's exposed to it and it makes him cry.

Zed- Quiet middle child who may or may not be one of the favorites because he doesn't cause trouble.

Leo- The baby. Basically everyone has to look out for him and they worry about him constantly, especially Mama Bear Klaus. They're always looking out for him, whether it be Chain doing quiet deeds for him or Zapp protecting him in his own jerk way, Klaus always checking and fretting over him.

Lucky Abrams- The uncle on your mom's (Klaus's) side who always comes around at the worst times and makes a mess of things, but your mom still insist on having him around because "He's family"

K.K- The fun aunt on your dad's (Steven's) side. She's the type of aunt to bail you out of school early just because she wanted ice cream.

Deldro Brody/Dog Hummer: The weird cousins on your mom's side. They probably bite (Deldro most definitely bites) but your mom still insists on having them around because "they're family"

Patrick and Neyeka- They're related to the family. No one just knows how. They just show up to events when food is involved.

Hm... I was trying to imply that Lucky is estranged from his biological family and has been for nearly a decade. That there was some bad blood between them when Lucky stopped talking to them.

Basically I have a flexible headcanon about HOW Lucky distantanced himself from his family because its near impossible to say which one fits as a whole.

He could have cut ties because they were all toxic.

It could have been for their safety because Lucky cares that much about them.

He could be the youngest living member of his family or they all died at some point long before now.

But the dissonance of having bad blood from your biological family vs Klaus's lil bean collection was something I thought would be at least a little funny. Even if Damien and Evalyn are asking him rapid-fire questions without waiting for answers, talking over each other, and staring with them big ole baby eyes. One that Lucky appreciates since his own family weren't the best (in this instance at least).
