the pitch rewatch was pretty good- it's a solid show and a shame that it was canceled, but also the ending was just such an unsatisfying bummer :/ like i guess they were just trying to get people invested at the end but it had the reverse effect on me. needed more hope in there imo

Sadie- Right, and I get it. My Mom... she had a lot of boyfriends. Sometimes they were nice, sometimes they weren't... this wasn't because I'm here? I don't mind you, you're not bad most of the time. I don't want me being here to make more problems for you.

Evelyn- Of course this has nothing to do with you-

Sadie- Like if I'm causing problems for you, or for your parents-

Evelyn- You aren't causing problems for anyone Sadie. My parents, our parents, will be back soon enough... so they tell me.. and I have the worlds weight in problems all on my own. You aren't a problem. You aren't even a little blip on my 'problem radar'.

Sadie- <mumbles> Okay. I don't want to be the thing that ends your fairy tale life.

Evelyn- My personal life is my problem. It is something that I should never have started in the first place. Some people just aren't meant to have a fairy tale. Some people have that, for an amount of time and then its taken away. It has nothing to do with you. I'm glad you're here. You remind me of being young and having all the world ahead of me. It makes me believe that there is something better.

Sadie- From my experiences Evelyn, there isn't a whole lot of the world that isn't pain and suffering. It kind of sucks to see that, even for you, golden as you are there isn't a happy ending.

[Gilded Family] So, question.

Did the Clawthornes even exist prior to Achsah getting trapped in the past? Or did Caleb and Evelyn only start hearing of them after they lost her?

Okay, so, we don't really have enough information on the time travel in owl house to really answer this super well, but from what I can tell, the time travel in owl house seems to operate on a closed loop, meaning you can't really change things in the past and see an effect in the future. Everything is not exactly destined to happen because that would be against the themes of the show, but Phillip knew the light glyph and had the Collector's disc before Luz traveled back in time, you know? Because it "already happened." In fact, he goes through some lengths involving Flora in order to make sure Luz goes back in time and cause it all.

That being said, Gilded works on a sort of self-correcting loop. Caleb explained it in the first chapter, if you cause a disturbance in time, it'll quickly right itself. He can rescue a grimwalker because even if he rescues a grimwalker, Belos will still make a new grimwalker to replace them, so while there would be a little blip where Caleb jumped back in time and snatched that grimwalker (like Belos never finding bones and assuming grims disintegrate hours after dying), it doesn't overall affect anything.

Achsah: Similar to how Belos presumably had the disk in season 1 "before" Luz time traveled, the Clawthorne line existed "before" Achsah fell in the pool. Now, if she HADN'T fallen in the pool, then that'd be a whole different time stream and they wouldn't exist (just like how gilded itself is existing in an alternate universe where Caleb survived, there are hypothetically other universes in which much of gilded is the same, but there's no Clawthornes). But in THIS time stream/loop, she did, so they exist.

It's. Ya know. It's time travel. Don't think about it too hard. It's not supposed to make sense.

Loki, let go || angst fic || Haven Lokidottir & Loki Laufeyson

Loki stood in the centre of the home he'd built with his seiðr and examined it for the last time. In this room, he'd helped bring his daughter into the world, helped her through her ageing process, seen her first steps and first words.

Apparently all of it was a lie.

"Were you going to say goodbye?" came the soft voice of his daughter and Loki looked to her with miserable eyes. Haven was dressed in her pyjamas, small mjolnirs and Asgardian castles littered the fabric.

It took all Loki had to pull her into his arms. "I'm sorry," he whispered, his voice hoarse and his heart dull, "I lost you once and now I am losing you again."

Haven smiled and cupped his cheek, watching as he leaned into the touch and tears welled up in her eyes. "I'll be okay," she whispered back, her youthful eyes shining with fear but also acceptance, "you must've loved me so much to create me in such a likeness."

Loki choked on his tears at her words, his knees buckling as he accepted the weight of what was happening. He was bringing down his enchantment and he couldn't save his daughter. She was his seiðr put into a physical form.

"You should've lived," he whispered sadly, his hands caressing the soft fabric of her pyjamas, "why, oh why, did you think you could fight Thanos in my place?"

Haven adopted a weak smirk and tilted her head, "hey, I'm the child of Loki. Nothing beats my dad."

The God of Mischief laughed dryly as he looked out of the window to see the green magic creeping closer. "It's cruel that you're being ripped from me again," Loki murmured, wiping his tears and holding his daughter close, "when this comes down, I'll be alone again."

The emerald eyes of his daughter watched him sadly as he shook with sobs before she pressed a kiss to his cheek and smiled. "You were never alone, papa," she whispered softly, wiping his drying tears with a broken smile, "my uncle is out there waiting for you. What about mama?"

Loki froze as he thought of you. He didn't know where you were, having blipped and then not seeing you at the final fight. Perhaps you were dead. Perhaps you weren't. "I don't know," he whispered as a reply, more tears flowing now, "you're all I had."

The hiss of his magic could be heard from the window and Loki moved quickly, dragging Haven into the dining room, further away from his weakening enchantment. "What if I stopped it?" he whispered, looking down into Haven's eyes, "what if we stayed here, just you and I?"

"Let me go, papa," Haven replied, her eyes sad and shining with tears, "I'm not what you need right now. I'm not real."

The magic consumed the dining room and Loki pulled Haven against his chest as if to protect her. "I love you," he whispered weakly through his tears, feeling her body begin to disappear.

Haven rested a soft hand to his bicep, her eyes closed with a small smile on her face. "I love you too, papa," she replied before disappearing with the rest of his enchantment.

Now standing in the ruins of their house, Loki stared off into the distance blankly as tears rolled down his face before he wiped them away and left the broken foundations. His path guided him through the hateful gazes of the townsfolk to where Thor stood waiting with his arms crossed.

"Let me guess," Loki began sombrely, holding up his wrists, "I'm being arrested?"

What happened next shocked the God of Mischief. Thor pulled Loki into a comforting hug and stroked his hair, allowing Loki to feel weakness now that he was with his brother.

"I'm breaking the law for you, brother," Thor replied gruffly, "prison is not what you need right now. Come, we are not wanted here."

And so the elder Odinson guided the younger away from Brekstad, Norway.

Finally finished all ten episodes of Pitch. Started watching the show for Kylie, stayed for the cast and the incredible story. I cannot believe Fox cancelled that show and left so many things unresolved. It should be a rule somewhere that when a show gets cancelled, a finale episode must be shot or in the can that resolves anything left open and unresolved for all of the characters.

It is an absolute crime that we didn't get to see more of this:

And Blip and Evelyn and Oscar and Al and Livan and even Charlie. The whole cast was phenomenal and the story was richly layered. A true ensemble and a treasure trove of impeccable characters. (and compared to Big Sky, Kylie's current show, the showrunner/writing team here knew how to handle episodic arcs in combination with an overhead arc and balancing all of the characters' stories while not diminishing the main protagonist's presence/story line) This should have made the cut, hands down.

Hello it's time to share...

The Basics of Vitani!

Name: Vitani, just Vitani and V for short. They tend not to think of their last name.

Age: Currently in the game 25, she looks and tends to act childishly, so people think she's closer to 19-23

Date of birth: October 31st, 2052. Her mom was adamant about that and fate granted that wish. Though V isn't a huge fan of her birthday (Halloween in general is a different story, though she still doesn't do much)

Gender: ??? It's unclear. Vitani is just themself in their eyes. But they use she/they pronouns and dresses very femme, so gets mistaken as a woman by many a gonk. Don't call her one though, or a girl (unless you're a certain someone using select pet names, or like, in a really gay way, if that makes sense)

Looks: Well she's the profile pic, so that but kinda chubby, and 5'2. Though at the beginning of the game she had a blue fade into pink, but changed it after a bit of a break down. Really the following pic (obvi not my art btw, grabbed it off Pinterest), is about what her body type is.

Family: V doesn't do family, doesn't like them, in fact, hates families! If she had to choose though, her mom is Mama Welles, and Jackie was her brother. Oh, and obviously Nibbles is her daughter and her lizard son Stewart. (In actuality she had a mom, step-dad, and two brothers, but they sort of just left her.)

Friends: Laughable to ask really. Most of V's friends have died, and it's absolutely V's fault. She shouldn't have friends... (Also in actuality, she gets along with a surprising number of people, but feels very few connections to others. Her closest friends are obviously Johnny, Misty, and Viktor. In that order. At least as far as the alive ones go. If she's counting dead ones it's Jill-an oc made for V's story, Jackie, and Johnny, all of them are equal).

Romance: Not much of one, briefly had a boyfriend, but he was like a blip on the radar in V's life. It was also an online thing started on some forum. They never met up due to home life stuff. As for in game romances? Also none, everyone is great, but really just as a friend... Except for a certain someone stuck in their brain, though it's unrealized until the ✨best day ever and beach scene✨. Because obviously they have a "best day ever and beach scene" thing.

Fears: Everything to a certain degree, but that's the insurmountable anxiety she has. Most of their fears are rational, such as sexual assault (never happened to them, but makes sense from backstory things), people leaving (nullified if V leaves first), and idk their current capitalistic nightmare hellscape.

Hobbies: V likes trying just about anything and everything. A maker at heart. But she loves music, cooking, playing video games, collecting low-tech gadgets, history, and politics. Is politics even a hobby? V doesn't know and doesn't care. It is now.

What's important right now?: Saving both Johnny and herself, specifically by getting him a body (yay! Johnny gets a body AU!). It's a thing they've been dead set on once she thought about it. Mostly because to choose herself over him? Impossible, especially towards the end of their time together... As for the game canon, it's technically the same goal, but unsuccessful.

Fighting style: Talk first, then sneak, then carnage. That's the general rule of thumb with how Vitani deals with things. Not always in that order, and not all at once. Relies on subterfuge and knocking people out, but will become borderline frenzied if spotted or if things go wrong. Typically uses a katana (specifically Evelyn's), but switches to the Malorian once she gets it (it's her safety gun).

And if I'm being honest I don't know what else would be basic questions you ask about a character, so we're done!

“Move back to the pathway and escort the SLDF,” Adrian said to Riku without turning away. “I’ll catch up.”

“Affirmative,” Riku said as he turned and made his way back to the northwest pathway.

Adrian toggled on his speakers, “I’ll stay here to support until the medical team can extract them.” A blip appeared on his radar. “Get back in your mech. I’ve got blips on my radar.”

Adrian moved to place himself in the way of the approaching blips, carefully crossing over Amber and Evelyn.

Metal footsteps echoed throught the city as Amber's flea ran, laughing echoing through her cockpit

"Come on boys, you would struggle finding water fallin outta boat!"

She was greeted by yells and screeches through her radio, currently connected to the Blakist's forces

"Ya'll slower than a 1 legged horse!"

She threw out insult after insult, drawing the ire of the escorts, currently chasing her through the city, judging by radar signature, 3-4 mechs chasing her, some close than she would like, as she threw mech to the side, a missile flying past the flea

"Nice shot jackass!"

She turned down alleyways peaking around corners take potshots at the enemies she can see, a few shots would scrape the sides, blaring alarms warning her as the armor takes hits

Adrenaline ran through Amber's body, laughing like a madwoman as she piloted, this is what she was born for, so absorbed in the acts of firing and dodging, she missed a blip flanking on the radar, untill it was in her face, a Bucaneer stepped from behind a building, staring down the Flea. For a moment, everything slowed, as Amber stared directly into the enemy's cockpit, as it raised it's arm, and an ER Large Laser lit up the alleyway, slamming directly into the cockpit, as Amber's screams echoes through both enemy and allied comms, before suddenly silencing.

The Bucaneer stepped ro the side as the flea lopped past, before slowing down, and finally stopping. Silence perminating the comms

"Finally got he-" one of the Blakists finally began to say, before a manic laughter echoes through comms, punctuated by the static of a damaged comms unit. The Flea flipped around, alpha striking directly into the Bucaneer's back, penetrating the armor, and setting off the reactor before the pilot could even scream, erupting the mech in flames

"Thats the best you got!?" Screeched through the comms, followed by heavy brrathing as the Flea rocketed off, before any of the others could respond, mad laughter flowing out, striking another mech, before doding behind the building, circlikg the confused, and frankly terrified Blakists,
