July BoxyCharm Thoughts

The last two months were very successful in regards to me enjoying what's been in my boxes so I was nervous to get this box because I didn't think I would be lucky enough to keep liking my boxes as much as I have been. Well, here is what I thought about July's box.

Ofra Body Illuminizer - This is an illuminizing body lotion meaning it has shimmer in it and it has a slight tint to it as well. I tried this but I ended up giving it to my niece because unlike me she actually tans and this looked much better on her. On my skin tone, this didn't give me a healthy glow it just made me look like I had gold shimmer on. On my niece, however, this gave her a beautiful glow so it's not a bad product, it's just not for me.

WinkyLux Uni-Brow Universal Eyebrow Pencil - This is a one shade fits all brow pencil which I wasn't sure about but the shade is a pretty good one for me. I also wasn't sure how I'd feel about the triangle shape but I actually like it. I still like the smaller brow pencils but I don't mind using this one.

Colourpop Ultra-Matte Lip in Speed Dial - Definitely, have already tried the Matte formula and it has improved since the beginning but it's improved even more. This one didn't feel drying and it didn't crumble at all. I also liked the color which I wasn't expecting because it's  a bit more orangey than I usually go for. So I surprisingly liked this, the shade and the formula.

Blinc Electric Eyes Palette - So this is the item that everyone has been talking about and after seeing it, I understand why. The 5 shades in this palette look beautiful in swatches and on the eyes. I love using these shades on the lid, they are so pigmented and last really well.

BareMinerals Invisible Light Translucent Powder Duo - This duo has a matte translucent powder and a soft illuminating powder. This is what I was most excited for and it did not disappoint. I love using the matte powder for setting my under eyes and the illuminating powder is beautiful when I want a subtle highlight or all over glow. Even though this is a white translucent powder, I did not experience flash-back with this but that could be because I'm so fair, I don't usually notice much flash-back.

So overall, this July's box was a pretty good and I'm looking forward to the August box. That is it for this post, next up will be my July Favorites so until my next post.

So filming was occurring at my job the other day and I fortunately AND luckily did my #makeup. Cause of the big, huge lights I really saw my makeup in like HD.. Gurlllll. I think I only experienced that once. Sure there were a couple things I could have fixed but like sheesh it takes a lot to impress myself... if that makes sense lol. #nofilter Oh also got a free #esteelauder @esteelauder lip stick from a friend and I love it. Giving this beautiful palette a-go today. I received this in September's @boxycharm. This is the pur cosmetics Soiree Diaries palette that retails for $34 So far I really like the texture of all the shades they Swatch beautifully and blend better than expected. The mattes are super buttery and the pigmentation is amazing. The shimmers are bit powdery but when dust it off off they're absolutely gorgeous. Their texture somewhat reminds me of the @blinccosmetics palette we received a month or two ago. In fact twinkle and vanadini are nearly identical in color but the Blinc Cosmetics shaddows are much smoother. If you haven't already I highly recommend signing up for Boxycharm monthly subscription. They cost $21 and you're guaranteed 5 full size products every month. There's even rumors that every box for the rest of the year will include a palette. WHAT'S INSIDE my April 2016 @Boxycharm ($21): @YourMinerals Mineral Eyeshadow in the color "Brown Hypnotic" ($21), @andersonlilley Beach Butter Hand Cream ($24), @purlisse Daily Lip Nourisher with Mango and Shea Butter ($16), @blincinc Black Lash Primer ($26), and @OFRACosmetics Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick in the color "Pasadena" ($19.90). HOW I FEEL: I love just about everything that came in this month's #boxycharm! Initially, I didn't think that I was going to love the #yourminerals eyeshadow. But after swatching it, I realized just how beautiful this taupe shade with gold, pink, and green reflects actually is. I'm pleasantly surprised with how much I liked this product. I'll admit that I didn't think I was going to love the #andersonlilley hand cream as much as I do. I'm not usually someone who likes getting lotions and hand creams in boxes - I just don't use lotions enough. But, I love the scent of this one and it feels really nice on the hands. I am a huge fan of the #purlisse products that we have received in past subscription boxes. So, I'm pretty excited to try this one out. I have high hopes for this product. As far as the #blinccosmetics lash primer...I didn't really care for the mascara we received last time - only because I'm not a fan of tubing mascaras. So, I'm not overly excited to try this product out - but I am interested to pair the mascara with the lash primer to see if it makes a difference. Last but not least, the #ofracosmetics liquid lipstick. I'm a HUGE fan of these liquid lipsticks - they're some of my favorites on the market. I love how light they feel on the lips and they are most definitely long lasting. Also, I am in love with "Pasadena" - the PERFECT nude, everyday, wearable shade. April's @boxycharm The @ofracosmetics long lasting liquid lipstick is in the shade Pasadena amd is a fantastic shade for my skin tone. I paired it up with the @purlisse lip comfort and really enjoyed the combination. The Anderson Lilley hand cream has a delicate smell and absorbs nicely into my skin. I haven't uses the loose eyeshadow yet, but the color is gorgeous!
