It's a good thing too, because I don't have enough diamonds for another 10-pull after these.

Second round of event gacha and even though I did two pulls on Dirty Mother of course I was grabbing the half-off gacha.

Scored the 5-star event Sidecar, got an increase to event Kamikaze’s levels, and the game threw in regular 4-star Gin Fizz to boot.

I guess I know where my gacha luck went.

Things I never expect from A3!: Getting the SSR card the very first time I try the event Kamepon.

Things that happened in A3!: Getting SSR New Year’s Juza the very first time I try the event Kamepon.

One of the major points about A3! is that there are dorms in this theater (that's the whole selling point for Sakuya, Tsuzuru, and Itaru joining in the first place), and everyone stays there. But when the end of the year comes, presumably everyone goes home to visit family and celebrate the new one, and we can see here that the Hyodo family is apparently very baseball-inclined. (The card itself is titled “Chilling Out at (the Family) Home.”)

So, yeah. Feeling kind of bad for Kumon now, feeling even worse for the Hyodo parents when Kumon presumably goes to join big bro at the MANKAI Company dormitory later.

Of course I ended up rolling the birthday gacha. Thankfully I got a new card so it wasn’t a waste. Masumi is actually my favorite of the two, but not by much, so I’m happy either way.

Sakusaku just has a collection of hoodies with “Spring” on them, doesn’t he?

As part of the introduction of the new SRs to the game, all players are getting one free 10-pull on each banner, which includes one guaranteed SR and also Cheer Points for the 1st Anniversary event.

Sadly, my free 10-pulls gave me nothing, so the Kitty Yuki and Kitty Kazu you see here cost me diamonds. But since I actually missed out on the Niboshi play event and also because I could use more Yuki cards I’m pretty excited to get these. (The original Niboshi cards for these two were N.) Kitty cards are always a good thing.

It’s also a safe assumption that the other card art will be based off play costumes? So I’m skipping through all my stories to get those diamonds and roll more oh geez I think this event might put me over the edge into spending money on this game if Itaru’s new SR is Mad Hatter

According to A3! Official Twitter, the next event (Everyone, Ringing Out the Old Year and Ringing In the New*) is supposed to start the day after Christmas... or on Christmas Day if you, y’know, live halfway around the world from Japan like I do.

But the gacha is up so I pulled it (as you do), and got Event R Omi. In fact, I got two Event R Omis! Okay guys, let’s pack it up, we’re done here, this gacha doesn’t need to exist anymore. So I can bloom him (though I probably will prefer the unbloomed card. Because Focus.) and get head start on event points, since I don’t have Hisoka or Tsumugi’s birthday card.

Speaking of which, I also got Hisoka’s regular SSR, so that brings my total number of Winter Troupe SSR cards to three. I want to like you more, Winter, you just don’t seem to like me quite so much...

* I don’t remember - and don’t particularly care to remember - how to do footnotes on Tumblr again, since it’s been two years since I last did it. Suffice to say this event’s name,  みんなのゆく年くる年 (Minna no Yuku-toshi Kuru-toshi), is a reference to the annual NHK year-end program ゆく年くる年 (Yuku-toshi Kuru-toshi) that airs right after Kohaku, where you can see scenes from temples and shrines all around Japan literally ringing in the New Year. Someone has helpfully uploaded last year’s onto YouTube, and I'm gonna just leave that here as a cultural bonus.

For me. Because I’m gonna load up on bamboo and pine and mandarin oranges and sit in the kotatsu I totally have and watch this- okay, but I actually do have the mandarin oranges.

You should’ve known this post was coming. But I’m going to be extra.

Y’see, I got two SSRs in this 10-scout. Everything else was an R. (You’ll notice there are two gold stagehands and golds can be SRs or SSRs.)

Both SSRs were Jiangshi Taichi, so I got to insta-bloom him.

SSR Jiangshi Taichi had a 1.75% chance of coming out and I pulled him twice in one roll. Someone else do the probability math for me, I’m still in awe.

This is going to come back and bite me in the butt when Sakusaku goes to grant his luck to some other player, holy crap. I don’t know what’s going on for me in A3! this month, but may you all be so lucky in gacha.

So you know I leapt on that gacha, saving diamonds be damned…

And turns out the A3! gods (Praise Sakuya lol) just narrowly blessed me. 🎉

It’s Omi’s birthday in Japan today (11/2) so I decided to Premium Medal run the gacha five times to try and get a second card to bloom. (I had enough for ten, but I’m a hoarder and Itaru’s birthday is in January.)

Sakuya the Gacha God hasn’t left me yet, because I got the second Omi birthday card on the final roll, and also a Sakyo birthday card on the third.❣️And all the other three cards were ones were useful for blooming some more SSR Delta Circus Misumi, SR Budding Premonition Homare, and SR Budding Premonition Takato if you’re curious.

Basically, all my gacha luck is being used up here and it’s only the beginning of the month. The next (seasonal) event, hAve A greAt trip!, has been announced, so hopefully there’s no one I have to have…

If I get a new card of my favorite Summer boy when drawing Autumn birthday gacha, am I still allowed to be mad?

Because it turns out I got a copy each of in subsequent pulls. (So I’m really working puchi bonus in event right now.)

I also got a fourth copy of birthday SSR Omi and it’s almost enough to deter me from trying again... but then I remember it’s Omi and I’m a sucker.

Since I hit level 100, I no longer get diamonds when I level up, just premium medals every 6 levels. So I thought it prudent to use them on trying for Birthday Omi one last time…

…and I don’t like saying “x came home,” but Sakusaku clearly came through for me here. 💕 Farewell gacha luck for the rest of the year, but it was worth it.
