not to project like a motherfucker on natalie berzatto but ohhhh boy the impact of a narrative that says “hey, is your desire to make sure everybody around you is okay also about you? and could that perhaps be partially a maladaptive trauma response you should look into and maybe mitigate? because if it’s a genuine question that’s fine, but if the only answer you will respond well to hearing is yes that’s a You Issue Too, Babe”

what brushes do you use to draw :( i am in love
im still using sai ver 1 errrr lol
flat brush my love. no blending properties but its medium density so you can get textured shading w normal use or p smooth gradations with super light pen pressure + layering the strokes. idk i love her and do 80% of the pic w her
Tumblr media
2. default soft round brush at medium opacity. can do lineart or shading w this babey. i mention airbrush below but the settings for that arent important its just very soft edges and low opacity for really soft shadows / smooth gradation
Tumblr media
there was a time b4 where i used to do basically the whole pic with soft round brush, it doesnt really blend but its not 100% opacity so if you choose colors that are quite similar it sort of looks kinda blended n softer??
Tumblr media
tbh tho lately i rly like the combo of flatbrush for crispiness, soft brush for softer but still strong ish shadows, and airbrush / any blending brush (settings also dont matter tbh) for really soft edges. mmmm combo.
Tumblr media
a - airbrush; b - blending brush; f - flat brush; s - soft brush ^^^^
3. stringy hair texture brush, also a default brush loool the lower the min size and stronger the pen pressure, the less individual strands you get. pairs nicely with sai's fringe effect which makes a thin lineart(?) around the strokes u kno wat im talking abt??
Tumblr media
fringe works best with lighter hair or when doing complex detailed objects u dont wanna line like lace or intricate metal / design etc. its free lineart...
Tumblr media
4. beard brush lol i named this like so cuz i used it to make stubble on aizawa / ogata back in the bnha / gk days heehee. also good for pinstripe pattern, texture, or eyebrow / hairline / hair detailing
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and thats all! turn that frown upside down :)

[I'm gonna slowly add sesame oil, a little bit of, uh, blended oil. Let us not become so cautious that we forget to live.]

>×> do you have any tips on how to write Mika's accent ? I don't want to write him just considering letting my Danganronpa DnD char have the same accent as treat
I spent 20min in my archive bc i actually remember already talking ab this once (or rather, Mika dialogue as a whole)!
I think my advice remains more or less the same. When listening to his voice lines, you can notice that he tends to slur his words together and his accent is p thick (altho, and idk if i'm just insane, but i could swear it was thicker in !era like i'm so serious). I'd add that these days, I make him speak like a southerner, but I tend to split between southern usamerican and cockney - both fit. He speaks in the "country bumpkin" and "funny, friendly, but stupid" stereotyped accent, so, as a fan of the art of localisation, i always try to translate or depict his speech in whatever manner would bring about the same associations to the reader. To a UK local that'd probably be cockney, to a US local, southern usamerican.
But all in all, stick to one of those two, learn vocabulary used in those dialects (for example, "y'all" as a second person plural pronoun or "ain't" for negation, "reckon", "fixin' to", words like that if you're going for southern usamerican). Use apostrophes smartly, though, i'll repeat that the key is to read the lines out loud and decide what sounds right. As a rule, i only drop the -t in "that" when followed by a word beginning with a consonant because it "rolls easier" - and gives that effect of words being slurred together. "That ain't none of my business" is better because otherwise you'd have an awkward flow between the two ah- sounds, but "tha's none of my business" is better because otherwise you'd have a bit of a stop with the "ts" sound.
Or something to that effect. Read your lines out loud, try to speak with as little effort spent on moving your mouth as possible, and then try to express that in writing by dropping letters and blending words where needed. Trust your gut on what sounds natural. If it feels like you have to force it, it should probably be changed.

Finally tried my immersion blender that I've had possibly pre-pandemic. It is, in fact, pretty nifty

Cream (yawning) is getting all the love from the others after his operation yesterday.
He's taking to the meds well but we're a little worried about him eating, hopefully we'll catch him eating in the days to come!!

I can’t believe I got these done today and guaranteed food for the rest of the workweek.
To make a home quesadilla you just need a dry nonstick pan, and a reasonably sticky ingredient (cheese, hummus, refried beans) on either side of the inner tortilla so it stays together when you flip. Wait until browned—there’s usually a scent. It smells almost like toast. Sliced cheese works better than shredded for preserving flip integrity.
/flour tortillas here 🥶

Just from a design standpoint, it's very disappointing that all the folks with bright, light color schemes (Yang, Weiss, Sun, etc) are also light skinned when it would be best to make them dark skinned - Sun and Yang especially given how little representation dark skinned Asians have
By doing this, Yang would finally be free of those awful brown slops of outfits while Sun and Weiss would stop disappearing into their white clothes because ☆~contrast~☆ would finally exist
