Also, does Ingo scruff Akari from time to time? I imagine he's used to doing it with the sneaslets so he just does it as a reflex.

Akari's about to run off to do something very stupid and Ingo just scruffs her and boops her nose and says "No" in that voice pet owners do when their pet is about to do something they pet knows it shouldn't do but will do anyway. It's a reflex so I imagine Ingo is embarrassed afterwards.

Elesa is an aunt now and she is thrilled about it (she and Emmet are constantly fighting over who's the better aunt/uncle. Chandelure is winning)

He's embarrassed the first time but it's really the only thing that'll make Akari stop squirming to escape. She doesn't have the instinctual "mother has lifted me, time to ragdoll" thing that kittens do, but she will still go limp. To be fair, part of this could be learned because Lady Sneasler will also scruff Akari when she's doing something stupid (Lady Sneasler perceives Ingo as her kit, therefore Akari is now her grandkit and she will parent her as well).

Please do not boop Akari, she may bite your finger.

Also a friendly reminder that not only is it pride month, but it is also National Indigenous History Month in Canada!! There are lots of LGBTQ Indigenous people out there, and lots of indigenous culture-aligned identities and traditions that could 100% be seen as queer were deemed “sinful” by colonizers and attempts to wipe them out from culture and history were made. Lots of Indigenous people and nations are still working to reignite and recover traditions, practices, and teachings that colonizers attempted to destroy, and there are also lots of 2-spirit and LGBTQ indigenous people just trying to get by overall.

Remember to give them your support as well; I am proud of being LGBTQ but I find that pride month sometimes overshadows National Indigenous History Month and lots of LGBTQ BIPOC voices are drowned out by white LGBTQ people. We are all deserving of the same respect and opportunities that non-BIPOC people get, so remember to be respectful to Indigenous people this month as well (this should be true all year but sometimes people need a reminder). There are lots of charities you can find online focused on supporting LGBTQ Indigenous people and revitalizing queer Indigenous culture, and there are also lots of individual LGBTQ Indigenous people with open commissions online or with donation links that you can help out, and you could change someone’s day entirely by ensuring they have enough money for food or rent or medicine.

Overall, to my fellow Indigenous LGBTQ+ people, I hope this month is kind to you <3 remember to take pride in who you are.

for this one i was curious on what it’d look like if i put the hook in the front loop instead of the back loop (previous 2 scarves were done like the video with the back loop)

thought it’d look the same but in reverse or something

it did not look like a reversed version, actually looked flatter but i didn’t like how it felt vs the slightly puffier back loop version

i know it probably would’ve gotten softer after it got washed but still

anyways i unraveled all the progress from the first pic and then redid it with the back loop version; surprised it also got shorter after i stopped at around the same point (count the colors)
